I was just lucky to stumble upon this local gem. Now, that being said, their barbacoa was not really the barbacoa, as in slow cooked tongue and cheek meat I'm used to, but it was well cooked and flavorful. The barbacoa chilaquiles were delicious. It was the only restaurant I returned to in Chicago if that's says anything. The chorizo benedicts were almost well designed and equally as good. I highly recommend this breakfast spot!!!

We took the pancakes, which were super delicious and fluffy. But the portions were way bigger than expected, but that could be because it was our first time trying American pancakes. You got 5 big pancakes and if you take one with a lot of toppings, you get really full very easily. I would maybe recommend sharing one plate between two people if you're not prepared to eat a lot of food.

-I was seated as soon as I arrived at Wild Berries, which was a bit surprising based on the popularity of this restaurant. But once I got seated, I did notice it was super busy, so it could possibly be that it’s a Monday at noon, so there’s not as much of a rush as there is during weekends. -When my waiter arrived, he took our order for drinks and I got was the Wild Berry Orange Juice (the front and back cups), which actually tasted like freshly squeezed orange juice with fresh berries. -My waiter was able to recommend my meal based on my taste buds. Since it was a meal for two, and both me and my husband don’t eat much meat, we had already chose Eggs topped on quinoa, chick peas, and brown rice, with their specialty Wild Berry Pancakes. Our waiter had recommend their vegan breakfast (which included hash browns) with a side of fruits. -Aside from the food & presentation being amazing and the customer service being impressive, there was a high amount of cleanliness throughout the entire restaurant and bathrooms. They are kept up to date with their decor and don’t let anything stay out of place. -Next time I come to Chicago to visit my family, I will definitely be stopping by again.

I found Wildberry Pancakes while searching for a good brunch place in Chicago and loved it so much that I went twice. This is their new location located in the mall across the street from the MoA. I hear that their other location has waits of up to an hour, but I came on a Wednesday and Thursday and found no wait either time. The wait staff was super friendly and have me firm and honest recommendations when I asked "what was good." The first day I went with the Wildberry Pancakes that were layered with marscapone cheese and drizzled with fruit syrup and berries. The stacks of pancakes were light and fluffy and I managed to eat the entire massive stack. On the second day, I got the Churros French toast and was blown away by the fact that they actually tasted like churros. These weren't just cinnamon crusted French toast. Again, I ate the whole meal and downed a great iced coffee. I recommend this place to any true brunch afficianados looking for a great breakfast in downtown Chicago.

It's okay. I think it's over rated. Some specialties deserve better. I agree the berry bliss sauce is good with any of the sweet dishes, but I don't think there's a whole lot to it other than that. The hash brown are very greasy. I ordered a skillet and there was an abundance of grease in the bottom. The portions are enormous for what you get. I wouldn't mind coming back again, but I'd like to try out different places before this place. Another thing to note is to prepare for a huge wait time but once inside the service is great! The second floor can get chilly since the water tower also blows AC into wildberry. Edit:After a few minutes both me and my girlfriend started getting stomach aches.

I can honestly say this might have been the best service I had in my life. The wait was about an hour, but the yelp app allowed me to add myself to the waitlist and check my place in line while I was still getting ready in my hotel room. Once we got there, it was super busy but the staff showed us friendly attention right away and seated us super quick. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable despite how busy it was, and our food came out quickly. The food and drinks were aesthetic, tasted outstanding, and came in big portions. The view was amazing from where we were seated. No wonder this place is always busy!

Omg!! Must eat here at least once when visiting!! Mushroom omelet was absolutely to die for!! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! I also had the caramel latte and it was perfect!!! Very nice welcoming atmosphere, tables are close enough to get to know your neighbors and everyone was so pleasant! I can't say enough good about this place.

Looking for yummy food for breakfast? Go here!! The service is great, the food is even better. We waited using a phone number reservation service so we got to walk around instead of waiting in the packed restaurant. The food took about 20 minutes and it was well worth the wait. The skillet with egg whites was great. So were the caramel apple pancakes! Definitely would go again!

This was recommended to us from a friend of ours and oh boy, it did not disappoint! Had a nice window seat looking at the park across the street. We were seated quickly and served just quickly even though it was a packed house! Our food was delicious! The mushroom omelette is fantastic, big though so, come hungry! Coffee was not to bad a little to acidic for my taste, but that's a personal preference with my coffee. Highly recommend!

I kept hearing hype about how delicious this place was and I thought that it couldn't be true. It totally is though! We had a party of 10 go and everybody loved what they ordered. I got the crepes which were fantastic my husband who got the pancake said he likes the pancakes better than my crepes. I got a side of bacon which was cooked perfectly. And the portions here are huge I promise you really only need one meal.

Simply the pancake heaven!!! Get’s super crowded and for a good reason. The servers are very friendly and despite having a lot on their plate accommodate pretty well. The espanol omelette was the only dish I haven’t liked so far. The wildberry bliss pancake is a must-try. The toasts and the chilaquiles are also also good.

This place has a great menu, too much to choose!! The portions are large you will not go hungry here, lol!! I recommend arriving before 9am if you don't want to wait in line, we arrived at 8:45a and were seated immediately and then we watched the front entrance fill up. No complaints about the food or the service both were great, we will definitely visit Wildberry again.

Wait time is pretty long on the weekends so be there early or expect a 1-2 hour wait. The food is definitely worth the wait. Absolutely delicious. Juice was fresh, pancakes were fluffy and tasty, and bacon was crispy and delicious. You won't need syrup for the pancakes and they are already sweet and full of flavor.

I went there yesterday arrived at 10:30 AM made a reservation for 1 person the Hostess said it would be an 1 hour and 15 minutes. My husband decided to join me I went back and just updated it for two people and the Hostess said, it wouldn't effect the time however, this wasn't true the time started all over again. We didn't get seated until 12:20PM. We asked to speak with the manager he told me this was impossible. I made a screen shot of my phone on the time I arrive as proof of my check in. He walks away and come back and still says it couldn't have been 2 hours that would never happen. He was defiantly lacking customer service skills . He never said, I apologize that you had to wait so long . I understand it has been a inconvenience. This should've happen to you.

Everyone loves this place. All of the food is made to perfection that is why the line is always so long. Just wait it out, you won't be disappointed. Every time I post a picture of my meal, people are stunned. They give healthy portions, totally delicious all of it. I get a combo with two eggs, hashbrowns, turkey sausage and specialty pancakes. (Don't judge me that's the offer on the menu!). Never have I left disappointed.

Early risers and coffee fans will appreciate the endless cup of coffee. Been fortunate to dine Al fresco, several times. Enjoyed no waiting with a recommendation of arriving prior to 9:30 am. Service is friendly and attentive, menu has many meat and vegan options to choose from. Tried the Brisket Hash and eggs, Belgian Waffle and fruit platter. There's no skimping on the 12 hour brisket or mixed berries, portions are generous with enough food to feed 4. Our hash came with a side of pancakes... which will be enjoyed at a later time. Rarely has a breakfast place hit on all levels and Wildberry certainly delivered!

This place is amazing. Food is delicious. You can go wrong with any dish... Pancakes are a must have and you can go crazy and order different pancakes flavors, you won't be disappointed. Service was fast and even though they got one of our order mixed up they promptly fixed right away, no fuzz. I only gave 4 star cause lines are ridiculous long, take forever, and their line system is not really good... Wish they have another way so people could have a better experience.

Great place to eat and to chill, prices are reasonable for the area, the service is decent and the menu is impressive. A great spot for a meal in the morning or early afternoon. They close early by two and the lines can get long but they move quickly. Again I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, this place offers in the heart is the busy part of town.

I like to try different things when I go out to eat. This vegan breakfast meal was AMAZING! I usually am not a big breakfast/brunch eater, however I finished this entire meal. The beverage selections are great - Oreo Mint Espresso Smoothie for me (perfect for the sunny / hot day while sitting outside to dine). Guillermo our server was absolutely phenomenal - very attentive and pleasant.

I heard a ton of rave reviews before visiting Chicago regarding this restaurant and was excited to visit. The lines are not to be played with here and I highly, highly recommend placing your name on the waitlist, which we did via Yelp. The interior is large and though the restaurant was filled, we did not feel too closed in. Service is very quick to ensure as many patrons as possible, but you do not feel rushed in ordering or completing your meal. I opted to go with an omelette which I regretted, not that it wasn't good, it just didn't seem to be their staple item. It came with a side of pancakes and fruit and I opted to go with chocolate pancakes, which were overly drenched with chocolate chips. This location is ideal and near the lake, which makes it perfect for a brunch and outing afterwards.

Definitely share! Huge portions, and so many amazing sounding meals that it's difficult to choose. Hubby and I shared the corned beef hash skillet, with berry bliss pancakes. ($2 upcharge for specialty pancakes instead of plain - very reasonable!) Daughters shared nutella crepes and brioche French toast with peaches. Also great to note for those who eat low-carb or keto, any dish that comes with hashbrowns, you can sub cauliflower hash for $1. There is also a gluten-free pancake option. Great, efficient service!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots. This branch is fairly new and the wait isn’t as bad as the other one (next to millennium park). You can join the waitlist online (expect a 30 minute wait) and then when you show up you may still need to wait 10 minutes or so to be seated. This is only for the weekends, weekdays are fairly open. The food is great each time. Highly recommend the berry bliss pancakes/crepes - they’re the best you’ll eat!

One of my favorite meals in Chicago! Traveling on business I went out to grab breakfast alone. I used Yelp and found Wildberry Pancakes wasn’t too far from my hotel. I wanted a good meal before heading to the airport. I was seated right away but by the time I left, there was a wait. Go early but if there’s a wait - it’s worth it! The service was outstanding! The food was quick, hot and delicious! The hash browns were homemade and the banana chocolate chip pancakes were absolutely decadent. Well worth the calories! I will absolutely come back here next time I’m in Chicago.

Typical American fast food breakfast place, expect standard service booth type seating and huge portions. Nothing unique to this branch as it serves consistent food as you expect from a chain, 2 floors and can seat a large number of people. Popular with families and people from out of town due to the central location.

This place has a great super service! Fun, smiley! Not last their food on the menü is just delicious! Comes is huge portion amd its definitly worth the price! Wow. This was suggested to us and very happy it was. Both kids thought it was amazing and wife said, "this is the Best salad I have ever had". If that is not a ringing endorsement I don't know what is. The meals are fairly big so consider sharing. Everything is made fresh as well. There are two in Chicago check out Yelp for waitlists, they get busy. Worth it though on all levels.

The food is really good....among the best breakfast / brunch spots in the city. But be prepared to wait... EVEN if you use the wait list feature on the Yelp app, you WILL spend quite a bit of time in a line. So grab a Starbucks beforehand... I'm sure they'll understand...maybe. And if you're planning a special anniversary or going on a romantic breakfast date w/ that special someone, your conversation will be quite limited, as it can get pretty loud and bustling, especially when filled to capacity.

On a visit to Chicago July 2019, food was good and service was professional. I hand the espanola. Ingredients were fresh and well prepared. I particularly enjoyed the fresh avocado and cilantro. Prepare yourself for a long wait as we hand to wait an hour. Common for time of day and visiting on the 4th of July.

I am always on the lookout for the best breakfast place wherever I travel. Wildberry does not disappoint. I walked in the door and one of the first things they offered me was a NEWSPAPER. I didn’t read it for long as the service was very prompt, but it’s a wonderful touch. The space is airy and bright, excellent light from its massive windows facing south towards the MCA. I ordered up the caramel apple pecan pancakes after vexing over the many delicious sounding options on the menu, and hash browns after seeing another patron receive a hefty side of them along with his waffle topped with a veritable mountain of berries (no, that isn’t an exaggeration). The food portions are more than generous, most meals seem big enough for 2 so bring an appetite and a friend or 2 to share with since you’ll want to try as much as you can off their menu! The minor ding that I wouldn’t knock a star for is the use of plastics for the condiments... I’m hoping they switch to paper or something they can wash and re-use. Same for the straws.

Best breakfast in Chicago hands down!!!! Everything from coffee to desserts.... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Oh yeah and service is great too but be aware of the times you choose to go. It could be a 15-20 minute wait or a 2 HOUR WAIT.... ridiculous but the food is so worth it, not for 2hrs....LOL. Enjoy!!!

I make sure to come here every time I’m in Chicago. It usually has a wait but it’s so worth it! The pancakes are amazing. The butcher block scramble was incredible too. They do a great job taking care of every table and moving through the wait list as quickly as possible. This stop is across the street from a park, which helps if you’re waiting with kids!

Very close to our hotel so we gave it a try and it was very good. Portions were huge so unless you have a big appetite you may want to share. In our case we each saved half and had the leftovers for breakfast the next day.

This is an amazing spot for those looking for a diner feel food or craving great breakfast options. the service is amazing at the top it off the portions of the food are bigger than expected. Just in case for those who are not familiar with Chicago's service charges, please make sure you have an extra 10.25% Sale's Tax plus an 18% service charge.

Best breakfast I've ever had. If you can endure spicy, I recommend the Mexicana skillet (something like that). I split it with my wife. The chorizo is the best I've had. It comes with toast or two pancakes. We did the pancakes. Wow! I can understand people complaining of the price. You are basically getting two meals, so the price makes sense. People complained of the wait, but you can use Yelp to get in line before you arrive. It even shows you how many people are ahead of you and how long before you need to be there. We walked Right in. Great service, too.
