REVIEWS OF WHISK IN Illinois

Joe Bartolotta

Very basic. Parks and Recs theme is amusing.

Scott Strand

The burgers and Ron Swanson Fries are simply fantastic, and fun environment if you like the TV character Ron Swanson!

Jacklyn Andersen

Amazing breakfast and super nice staff.

Portia Johnson

Amazing food. I recommend the buffalo chicken hash.

Joben Grimmius

We go during the summer to enjoy the patio seating. Place is BYOB, which is great for brunch and the food is good.

Kat Jovey

Still dreaming about this place. The coffee was amazing and I had the shrimp and grits. SUPER rich but so damn good

Kyler Ransom

My favorite go to breakfast place for people visiting me. Especially if they like the show parks and rec

Rick Martinez

Great place for the millennium bunch and their parents to have brunch, between 8 and 10 am. On weekends. After that you won't be able to get a seat for about an hour so let the drinking begin. BYOB. Great food huge portions.

Regis Storey

Best Brunch place in town! Also if you like Ron Swanson this place is for you.

Matthew John

Excellent food and service even better company

Felice H

Aaron Darling

LOVED IT! Great food, Great Coffee, and Great environment!

Monica Rojas

Every single dish we ordered (group of 9) was delicious.

Nadia D

Went for brunch with family and sat at the community table, which wasn't bad. It's BYOB so we brought our own champagne, and purchased their fresh squeezed OJ, since you can't bring your own beverage. I had the fried chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy and homemade potatoes and it was so good! My sister had almond french toast that was delicious too! It's a small setting with not much seating. There is outdoor seating in the back patio. The staff was friendly and it was fast service. The decor was original and different, lots of pictures of the comedian Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec. I'll be going again to try other menu items for sure.

Toya’s ToyBox

I was looking for a really good restaurant to take my mom for her upcoming birthday and I saw all of the great reviews on Whisk. The food is AMAZING!! I was emotional eating it was soooo good!! I will be back and I can’t wait to tell everyone I know!!

c lai

Hearty fare at the expected, slightly expensive brunch prices. Expect large servings and strong flavors. Shrimp & cheese grits were also good.

Dennis Tolbert

Food is fantastic. Customer service is great. Loved the breakfast menu.

James Strid

Creative breakfast joint. There's a menu dedicated to Ron Swanson.

Scott Dallam

Food was solid. Actual Ron Swanson-inspired dishes were a cool feature as well. Only negative was the long wait times for the food but aside from that, it was a solid experience

Emma Radd

Great food! It definitely lacks in atmosphere, and the community tables are not worth the jump in line. Removing the community tables would really improve this place and optimize the number of seated guests.

Jeffrey Palmer

The food is tasty and reasonably priced. Lots of parking. We will be back!

Rai Rai

I definitely enjoyed my breakfast. I will be coming here again

Deidre Bielicka

Food was amazing. Definitely cheat meal worthy. We say right down. Just beware it's BYOB.

Emil Bryant

Best Cajun fries but new hours are horrible.

Gladys Tole

I loved the atmosphere of this place great service and delicious food it feels like your eating at home

Abby Radich

What a spectacular place. My friends have been talking about this place and we finally came. Coming in, the hostess has Christmas music in the waiting area which I thought was so cool. She was so nice opening the door for everyone and so knowledgeable of the story behind the restaurant. Once we came inside the service was great. We were attended really quick. We ordered a few recommendations that our service had suggested. My God they cook with some type of angel dust because everything was delicious. I’ll be definitely be making the 2 hour drive back to have more! Cash only guys. It’s not a big deal I feel everyone should be carrying cash.

Denise Gramer

Love coming to my neighborhood Whisk. I brought some friends today since they came to town for the Lollapalooza festival. They definitely loved it too, especially because we are all Parks and Rec super fans! I noticed ticket times were slow but what do you expect when there is a wait at a small restaurant. I still give it 5 Stars because the service and food is always good. I respect the server/manager walking around telling people about the food wait, some people were being rude. She is always super nice when I have gone. It’s BYOB, good food, good service, and Ron watching over you while you eat like the God that he is. What more do you want!

Steve Valcy

Well, despite the review from Matt giving 2 or 3 stars because of a CC, that is just stupid. Cash only doesnt affect your experience other than your laziness to go to another ATM machine or, HEY, bring cash because their sign says cash only. Clearly written. Anyway, I went here for the first time. Awesome place. Loved it. Menu is great and has something for everyone, I think. Great job folks. I'm glad my girl took me here. I will definitely be back for the fried chicken n cakes

Sam Stokley

Great menu. Had Cheerwine, a rare find outside of the Carolinas. Staff really seemed to work well together and like each other. Great food for good prices.

Shereen Mo

I love Whisk. I live close by so I come often. It's cash only which is tad annoying, but not major. 1 star off because they only have pork gravy and no other substitute. Wish they had a mushroom or chicken sausage gravy. If they end up adding that I will def. Change to 5. Decor is amazing because it's homage to Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec. Service is awesome.

Dee Jackson

Visited this restaurant this past Sunday morning to meet a friend for breakfast. I drove through the snow only to be irritated AND extremely disappointed. First of all, they are cash only; a MAJOR inconvenience. This is not the old west, why are there establishments that are still 'cash only?' Second, there was only street parking; this requires no further comment. I ordered an omelette which not only was the size of a hockey puck, but it did not taste good; at all. The servers were nice enough, but the $13 I paid for this 'breakfast' wasn't worth it. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again; even if someone offered to treat.

Richard Meade

I have eaten here with my family about 10 times. I used to really like it. The atmosphere is fun and the menu is great. I’ve had to send food back several times for being undercooked. Our last experience was the last straw. We ordered 3 meals for breakfast. There was only one other table in the restaurant at this time: 9 am on a Saturday. I ordered chilaquiles. They were cold, soggy, and the eggs were over easy, not over medium. I sent them back, came back marginally better. Overall, they were pretty bad. They honestly seemed like they were poorly re-heated leftovers. The chicken was rubbery and had clearly been cooked previously and then deeply chilled if not frozen and re-heated. My wife had a scramble that was undercooked and the potatoes were cold. My son had a breakfast sandwich that was fine, but, the potatoes on the side were cold. The sausage on the sandwich could have been great but it, again, was not cooked long enough. It was rubbery, like jimmy Dean’s from the microwave. How do you serve undercooked food at 9 am on a Saturday when there are only two tables full in the place? How do you serve cold potatoes? Our bill was about $60 plus tip. Ron Swanson would not be proud. Terrible execution.

Charlotte Olson

Great food. Great theme. I love this place.

Dianna Cload

The food was Supreme. The best Biscuit and gravy ever had. The biscuit was the flustist and fresh. The menu had a lit to choice from. Very had time deciding. Drove 45 minutes since I heard it was so good. Not disappoint Ed at all. Street parking. We waited 30 minutes to get a table except that as was a line the while time we ate. Service was very good and very friendly service all the way down to people filling your water and clearing the dishes.

Leslie V

Great place for brunch. The wait was not long for party of six. I really enjoy all the Rob Swanson photos everywhere and everything I have had there is delicious. The Brisket Hash was delicious.

Pete Kosis

Best breakfast burrito in the nation hands down ! Fast service and amazing food !

John Vargas

My buddy Steven has raved about this place. Finally one day he decided to surprise me and take me here and I regret waiting so long to try this place out. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, prices are great compared to the amount of food you get and how delicious it is. Definitely coming back for more!

Carmen

A hidden gem in Chicago! It doesn’t matter if you prefer a savory or sweet breakfast, they have plenty of options for any taste. Great customer service, attentive and kind staff. My favorite place to go get brunch with friends and family. Oh! And it’s BYOB!

Dan G

Friend had the Ron Swanson burger. What's not to like, icon he is...? Fun place. Good food. Not inexpensive, but good experience.

Rogelio Tejeda

If you like good food, this is the place to eat. Great quality great service. I recommend everyone to come and eat here.

Jerome Patrick Shannon II

Went in the early evening and it was empty, exactly what me and the wife were after. We played Uno while we waited for our food. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was very good. We split some Swanson Fries and those were extremely good too! The service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is fun and colorful, I see why this place is busy for brunch!

TJ Sopoci

I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Two things to be aware of is that this establishment is both BYOB and cash only. They do have an ATM but it's frequently out of service. With that said, you would hard pressed to beat the food here. The Dulche Du Leche French Toast is a favorite of mine but all of their egg based dishes are amazing as well. Additionally they might have my favorite brunch item in all of Chicago, the Chicken and Corn cakes. It's two buttermilk fried chicken pieces, cornmeal cakes, and a spicy maple syrup. Trust me, you will be blown away. Come for the goofy Ron Swanson decor and stay for the incredible brunch menu!

Tony Bosma

Delicious food and cool decor.

daedae chad

this place is hella dope but it’s either always cash only or usually cash only. just wanted to share that somewhere so ppl would know, before ordering and having to pay their ATM a $3.25 fee in order to get your food. idk why this isn’t written anywhere on yelp or google by the restaurant. great food and great service tho

Grace San

I love going to this restaurant with friends and family for brunch there’s seating for 9 friends maybe even more :) I love the creative pancakes and the classic eggs Benedict!

Rachel Wajvoda

Food came out fast and everything we ordered was very good! Loved the vibes! We went for breakfast at 10am. Coffee was so good too!

Paul Arabie

I really like this place. I wish there was a way to give 4.5 stars because I’m never disappointed here. So glad they opened and have stuck around. Anything Ron Swanson themed by definition can’t be pretentious...and I like that. Look, Whisk is focused on and prides itself on preparing good old fashioned meat. The fried chicken is killer and the burgers should really be shared by two people, but it’s their house salad that always brings me back. I get mine with meat...the chicken but also the steak is spot on too. The dressing and meat to greens ratio is perfectly balanced. Of course, you could the salad without meat, but then what would Ron Swanson say (WWRSS?)?

Kevin Roof

Crowded, busy, but delicious. Well priced and portions didn't make me feel like I was going to explode. My wife is a vegetarian and she enjoyed her meal as much as I enjoyed mine.

Lawanda Brown

Food was good but it was cold in the place

Stephen Mitchell

They have a new specialty item every week. The day I visited I ordered the scallop gratin, blew my mind. Seafood is my week spot, severed with cheesy potatoes with onions was a great combination. I even heard they have a new flavored French Toast, called champagne , perfect for the holidays. Keep up the good work. A great Chicago establishment that's worth trying!!

DaChon Adair

Small, tasty and worth the wait ( should you arrive to a crowded restaurant). I can tell you Whisk is a place you want to be for rich and fulfilling flavors. As usual I had to try a couple of dishes since I was at a new place. Today I tried their shrimp & grits as well as the Southern Fried Chicken sandwich. Let me say both were DELICIOUS!!!! The Shrimp & Grits were creamy, rich and tasty to the last spoonful. I had a shrimp in every bite of this goodness. The bacon, scallions and other treats within the Grits only took great grits to the NEXT LEVEL. If you must try anything it has to be THESE GRITS. TRULY one of the best smoothest tasting bowl of goodness I have had in this city. I would certainly return for another bowl of this greatness. I just loved it. The next item was shared with my lovely companion. We both got to enjoy the southern fried chicken sandwich. What interests me was the jalepenos coleslaw that came on it. I just had to try it. A deep fried tender juicy well pounded chicken breast. Man, the slaw made the sandwich something extra. I wasn't sure but certainly intrigued. I was not disappointed. So much so I need to return to try the blackened grilled breast to compare their similarities and differences. I am convinced without proof it too will be FANTASTIC but I still cant wait to try. All in all this place is pretty great. I would give it 5 stars but one we had to wait in the cold. It wasnt the wait but the cold I had a problem. Secondly they had no unsweetened tea. Hell why not? If anything you should make more of it than sweetened. You could then at least make more sweetened from the unsweetened if needed. Third there was no chicken and waffles. It was taken off the menu and replaced with chicken and corn cakes. Umm there is no comparison. Waffles are way better than corn cakes. I came set to have chicken and waffles only to be disappointed and change my plans. Lastly the yelp information did not match what was expected in the restaurant. Yelp, credit cards accepted. Actually restaurant was cash only with ATM inside and a huge f*cking fee to get MY MONEY. I depend on Yelp to give me proper information about a place, I also expect management to update information on these pages with no excuses. Those are my complaints which didn't outweigh the delights my mouth tasted but still need to be gotten in order. Since these are not serious issues for me I will be happy to return to delight my palate again.

Janai Delvalle

Great brunch spot! Shrimp and chorizo was so good! My first time being here. I’ll definitely be back. I enjoyed the atmosphere

Micah Hewett

Very enticing menu, had a hard time deciding what to get. Ended up with the St. Louis Benedict which was pretty good. The corn cakes we a bit sweet for my liking but still good. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu

Todd Borisy

WHISK has a cool vibe. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! I had the shrimp with cheese grits, bacon, and mushrooms. So good!

Kristin Horak

Had a awesome breakfast at WHISK! The Reese's pancakes are delicious! Also, a very nice, pet friendly patio and good service. Would definitely return!

Ian McMahan

Whisk is one of the best brunches I have had in these United States. I have spent entire days recovering from their food. I highly recommend the House Burger, Breakfast Style with Black beans, and the banana berry french toast.

Dinero dinero

This place is a burger heaven. The food speaks for itself. Amazing service. Great atmosphere and makes a homage to the legendary Ron Swanson. If your a Parks and Rec fan this fone dining establishment is for you! Just go for yourself and you'll see what I mean. No doubt you'll enjoy your time hear!

Mike Madden Design

This place is fantastic for breakfast. It's especially fantastic if you are a Ron Swanson fan from Parks and Rec. The food is really good and has a Ron Swanson homage. Keep in mind this place is super busy especially on the weekends. Many people order GrubHub so they are seriously swamped so be patient when waiting for your food. If you're in a rush then this may not be the best place for you but the food is worth the wait. I never thought I'd be able to actually experience the meat tornado but if your game it is available on the menu.

Michael M

What a great atmosphere. The back patio was so cool. Our food was amazingly delicious with unbelievable flavors. I will definitely be coming back next time I am in Chicago

Felix b

Great food, great customer service

travis Smith

Great food with an amazing atmosphere

Chelsey Morgeson

Awesome Ron Swanson themed restaurant that's a must see for Parks & Rec fans. The food and atmosphere are just as good as the decor.

Jeffrey Leon

Amazing food! Love it!

Cindy Medrano

If you love Parks & Recreation you will love the decor. Very good food! Very limited seating, so weekends after 9:00am expect a minimum 30 minute wait. Also, a cash only establishment.

J G

Yummy marscapone berry pancakes!!

Joann Peters

Although small, there's an efficient use of space. We thought we would have a 45 minute wait but it was about 20. The Ron Swanson decor is the perfect setting for the menu offerings. We had the crab cakes breakfast. It was amazing and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. We also took the turkey apple sandwich to go. Different twist on an old stand by. Delicious! Service was good. If you're in Ukrainian Village, this one's worth the wait.

Manuel Klein

american food at this spot - super good. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. It has an awesome atmosphere. Wish it was closer to my house, I would come every week.

Jabari Holcomb

Good food and great prices. BYOB is always fun. I will be back.

Linda Sims Reilly

Ordered the same thing. Tasted better the first time. I was here

Forrest Allison

Breakfast and a coffee was $20 and portion was relatively small. Pretty underwhelming for the price.

Noe Huerta

Good food, I went when it first opened and there was quite a wait but worth it. Next time I went I went early, had the chilaquiles I highly recommend

Krishna Tateneni

Food and service are both very good. I had the veggie croissant. The room is quite loud.

Ben S

Delicious food! Great service

Matt Weber

I love this place. Incredible brunch, unique choices, awesome atmosphere. Recently, for some reason they switched to cash only. A popular restaurant in the 21st century should NOT be cash only. On top of this, they advertise an ATM inside, when this machine is always broken. This review will be 5 stars if they commit to bringing back a credit card machine.

Diego Castillo

Love this place. Food is great, Service is great!

Jerry Thomas

This place is great! Bring your own booze! Buffalo Chicken Hash is amazing! I get it every time.

Samuel Waggoner

We thought that we would try Whisk and when we saw that there was no line and easy parking, we decided to give it a try. It seems to be one of those eclectic restaurants but the staff was friendly and efficient. There are some very different things on the menu. One of our selections was the French toast. Honestly, it was one of the tastiest and richest that I have had.

austin ragotzy

Food was really good service was pretty good too. Had buffalo chicken hash and that was good. The dulché de lech French toast was also fire. Definitely would go again suggest it as a top breakfast spot in chicago

Manuel Jimenez

Been here 3 times. Breakfast was amazing! Lunch was incredible and Dinner just made my mouth water as I looked at all the art work of Ron!

Carly Zimmerman

Great BYOB place! Amazing food & fun atmosphere! Really great that there’s no extra charge for bringing your own alcohol. Really enjoyed my lengthy brunch here and I will be back.

Mayer Becker

Lively, small restaurant with good menu selection.

brenna knott

Honestly, love the idea and aspect of the place. Our server took 10+ minutes to even GREET us. Had to ask for silverware and glasses. Didn’t send out orange juice carafe in a timely manner. She sat on her phone the whole time. Didn’t get potatoes with my entree, as menu says it’s supposed to be served. Wish other staff would of at least made a notion to acknowledge us or offer cups while we waited on our own server. One of the workers had a giant hickey on his neck. Would love to come back because the food was great but your wait staff needs some work.

Allie Ostert

The bbq pork nachos are to die for, I recommend getting them for an appetizer. The burgers are wonderful, especially the one with the egg. The one thing I would say is it is a BYOB restaurant, but they do not allow any mixers or chasers from outside, so be prepared to purchase juice, soda etc. if you bring champagne for brunch or something.

Bethany Scherbarth

Exceptional food. The only reason for 4 stars is that they only take cash

Punit Kumar Jha

Great Breakfast food !! Really liked their egg omelettes.

Michael St.John

Really great brunch. Cool little place worth checking out.

Raquel Ruelas

absolutely delicious amazing. Has become a favorite spot of mine and a place I will be sure to bring guests to. It is fun, has a great vibe, excellent menu....but more importantly DELICIOUS food. I snarfed down everything including the toast and jam!

Kimberly Freadhoff

Quaint and amazing food. Get there before 10 for seating options. Pet friendly on their hidden patio.

Jose Perez

The food was good, the vibe was good. I was attracted to this place because of the Ron Swanson menu items and the Ron Swanson themed wall. It did not disappoint. And hey, I didn't get attacked by any bears either so that's a plus.

Avery Rodriguez

Weak coffee, weak service. Brisket hash was almost flavorless. Asked for creamer after waiting way too long for a coffee refill and had to go get it myself. Chances are I will never return. Two thumbs down.

Jonathan Short

There is no limit to the good things I can say about this cool restaurant in Chicago. This BYOB provides unique dining experiences with a menu inspired by Ron Swanson. I was able to taste many of the dishes from my friends at our table and all I can say is that the food was superb. But one of our tables favorite dishes was the pumpkin pancakes, which came with a white sauce that was amazing. It was a great restaurant experience.

Susana Carrillo

The service is great! The food is great and reasonably priced. The pancakes are highly recommended.

michael v.

incredibly fun and delicious experience! we are huge Parks & Rec fans and immensely enjoyed all the decor and menu options. my meat tornado was absolutely amazing and she thought her biscuits and gravy were the best she'd ever had. Ron Swanson would definitely approve!

Tim Wajvoda

The food was very flavorful and savory! So good! 6 out of 5 stars for all the Ron Swanson art

Keegan Walker

Ron Swanson in all his glory and food to match the mustache! Awesome AWESOME experience!!!

Patrick Gallagher

Fantastic BYOB brunch

Audacious Me

The oreo pancakes a super yummy!!!

Kety M

Very nice and considerate staff! And aaaamazing food!! Those Benedict crab cakes are to die for!

Christina Sauser

Love this place!

Vernice Gordils

We had an, Old Timer Burger, Shrimp tacos, and a Breakfast Burrito, everything was tasty. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. The service could be better, that being said it’s a great place.

Natasha Burns

Food and service was good.

Steven Bala

If you're a Parks and Rec fan, you need to eat here

Robert Whitmore

David 's special love it(grits, shrimp, bacon)what can i say. Brunch love this place

Taylor Newman

Great food. Can be a little pricier but the portions are huge. CASH ONLY

Dolores Gallegos

Totally unique eats.

Marisol aleman

Great breakfast, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Great service which is by far just as important as the food

Josh Rhoads

Amazing filling and great service

ladiimj93

Cash only. Good food though! I got steak and eggs to go.

Prajna Acharya

one of my favorite brunch spots in Chicago with some of the best pancakes

Haridas Attur

Food is yummy but they do not take credit cards . Hence only 4 stars. I am not sure whether the no credit card was permanent , but it surely did look like so. They had a atm in the place.

Trishla Shah

So brunch in the mornings, burgers at dinner. Sounds like my kind of place. Went here on a Monday evening. No wait, maybe 3 other couples in the place. Is a little on the small side but the artwork on the walls more than makes up for it. This place is entirely Ron Swanson themed!!! Now I love parks and rec so it's no surprise that Chicago does too. The atmosphere and food quality makes me wish I had discovered it sooner. As a life long vegetarian and current vegan I did order the veggie burger (which I can't stop raving about enough. The flavors were amazing!!!) with Cajun fries. Friend got the chicken sandwich which he said was the best he had ever had and I'm inclined to believe him. Service was prompt, friendly and informative. Place was clean and cool looking. They give you water in Mason jars for the hipster appeal. I wish the lighting had been slightly better for photos but that's my only caveat. 5/5 stars and I hope to return again for the brunch part.

T J

My Cornmeal Pancakes were Delicious, the 1 little piece of chicken needs to be bigger. Nevertheless my food was Amazing. And, my Son Loved his Pumpkin pancakes.

Bill Doetsch

Brisket hash. I don't think I'll ever be able to try anything else it's so good.

Martha Coffer

Their shrimp and grits were amazing! Definitely will be back to try more dishes.

Julie

The prices were a bit steep but for the flavors it was great. Good portions, bold spices! Love it

Sean Kelly

One of the best random finds of my life. A Ron Swanson themed dinner that serves breakfast and burgers that Ron himself has actually pardoned. Open late, food is great, and it was BYOB, at least when I was there. It would've been a great place to sober up after an early night bender, but, if you stop by the supermarket down the street, you can by a fifth of bourbon to bring in and power through. Highly recommended.

Gregory Medina

Food is great. We went two weeks in a row as there are so many things on the menu we want to try. First week we went service was great. This past weekend so so. Will I go back.... Absolutely

Renato Guzman

Fantastic breakfast but no peach tea!!!! Definitely recommend chef Ricks "eggs Benedict"

Gustavo Suarez Jr

Always smacks. It never disappoints, and the workers are always super cool.

Kristen H

BYOB which was nice. Affordable, cozy, cute little brunch/lunch place. Server was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Peggy Hunt

Excellent place for tasty american food. Arrived at five, it wasn't busy. Looking forward to a return visit. The bill was appropriate for the quality.

David H

It's good food. Ingredients are fresh, menu is interesting, prices a bit high but the food is tasty. Menu has a decent selection of lunch items. Service seems hit or miss but when it's good, it's good. Parking on Chicago Ave can be tricky depending on time of day.

Steven Kehoe

Fantastic food and service! Plus they are dog friendly and we sat out back with our pup.. we will be visiting again!

Merlin Burton

Excellent honey BBQ wings. Great burgers and the turkey burger was awesome. I really dont like that the theme is based on 1 mediocre actor, who i was told, knows about the restaurant but has never been there to eat but on the other hand, there is a B.Y.O.B policy so even though this guys picture is everywhere, after a few shots you won't really care. Great food and service.

Michael Kies

One of my favorite brunch places in chicago, I usually get their burger and it's amazing. Hi however they have a good mix of brunch fare. Staff is always friendly and food is always delicious. They have a nice outdoor patio in the summer too which is great.

Scott Benson

I always visit here for a breakfast when I go to Chicago. Check the specials board to make sure your not missing out. Have each person get something different so you can share! Expect a wait, it will be worth it though. I would describe my food but I won't even bother as this is a must visit, it's just that good. They serve co-op sauce which is a Chicago hot sauce brand they I have sense bought for myself here in NYC. It's so good.

Rachel Matyastik

This place has a cool atmosphere and the food was tasty. We tried the buffalo chicken has and the Cajun shrimp hash both were good. The eggs were poached well. Lattes are particularly small. This is a solid option but not exceptional. That said, I would go back.

Brittany Gill

Great, tasty food options $$

Jose Ruiz

Wow the burgers here are huge will definitely be coming back

Cynthia Torres

Ok location for tasty American food. good place to relax and unwind. i will be back with my relatives. this place has a cool design.

brandon gouskos

Highly recommend the Chef Ricks! Also the back patio is just amazing. Great spot for a relaxed brunch with your significant other or a friend!

Lilly Zendejas

Everything about this place is awesome. From decor, food and employees.

The DJ Gabriel G

Really torn here. Amazing food but it's got a hipster stick up it's butt. Things run out all the time, some stuff is over priced, they don't seem to plan for the amount of people they might get or just like that motif. Either way I love the food but anytime I take someone there we can't get all we want. Not so convenient. Oh and I really wish I understood how cash only supports the community but ok I go to sunrise all the time. When your ATM runs out of money it's not great for customers. You can get five stars but there should be middle ground.

Candace Brown

The service was fast and the food was delicious. I'm definitely planning to go back.

Suhit Pingale

This is the best brunch place in Chicagoland and at a really nice price! The ron swanson menu is amazing

Logan Maurer

AMAZING. If you are a big parks and rec fan then you will love this restaurant. The whole restaurant is Ron Swanson theme. Got the meat tornado, and it was the bet burrito I've ever had. The sausage, steak, bacon, and everything were perfectly cooked and it almost got an emotional reaction out of me.

Lisa Bujak

We were the first official customers here, totally by luck! Awesome staff and the tacos were delicious! Still can't decide on my favorite....steak, pork belly, crispy chicken.... One was better than the next .Good luck guys, see you again soon!

Andrea John

Great food every time. Come hungry as the meals are all quite decadent!

Alexandra Moore

Reese's pancakes are awesome

Ashley Rosa

We've been here about 4 times and have yet to leave disappointed. If I can give one piece of advice, put yourself on the yelp waitlist! Aside from the wait, the food is definitely worth it and the staff is always super friendly.

Pam Rondinella

All the food was great as we tasted each others dishes, my favorite was the biscuits & gravy, would definitely go again, small restaurant but cozy. Service was

Adam Burns

My coworkers have been raving about this place for weeks, so I finally went today. It was amazing. Not overrated at all. I'm already planning my next trip.

Karolina Oseckyte

The food is just so delicious. The meat tornado was so good, I sometimes dream about it

Caroline Mayo

This place is now closed. We just tried to go to brunch and it was shut down with a giant green sign saying there business license was revoked. So sad!! Loved this place

Clinton Allen

Very good experience and the food was absolutely delicious. The southern chicken sandwich is definitely not to be passed over. Will definitely be visiting again especially one Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. Highly highly recommended

BR Neal

This place is fantastic. Great breakfast, great service. Prices are pretty decent and had a great experience at the community table. The breakfast food is a creative. I have the crab cakes, which where great, but my wife's pancakes were fantastic. I will definitely go again. I absolutely love the decor. Go to feel your inner Ron Swanson.

Janet

Ordered from here. I thought I got a cappuccino, but I got a shot of whipped cream and two ounces of coffee.

Alex Wilkinson

Food is great, need to try the Swanson menu next time I go

Absolutely recommend the St. Louis Benedict and the Dulce de Leche French toast

Was excited to try this place because the menu looked good. Unfortunately, we had a really bad experience with the service at Whisk. We arrived and asked to be seated outside as we were with our dog. The hostess told us there wasn’t a wait but it would take 15-20 minutes to set up and dry off the back patio, even though they’d opened 45 minutes earlier. Not ideal but ok. We came back in 20 minutes and asked about the table and they said they were still setting up and it would be 10-15 minutes more. I asked if they could just set up and dry one table as we were only a group of two, but the hostess clearly brushed that idea off. I came back inside 10 minutes later and a different staff member said “they were still setting up and it would be another 10-15”. At that point we gave up. From the beginning, I would have been willing to grab a towel and dry two chairs myself and saved 45 minutes. If there was a staff shortage, how hard would it have been to have a waiter or host float back to take one order from the two of us? Hopefully this place can succeed on its Ron Swanson theme alone, because the service we received was offensive.

Buffalo Hash, chilaquiles and more

The brisket hash was pretty good oh, but the sauce was a little overpowering. Some of the vegetables and pieces of brisket were pretty big for a regular knife to cut. The white chocolate Oreo pancake sauce was absolutely amazing.

If you're a fan of the show parks and recreation or breakfast food any time of day, this place is for you. It's a small but busy diner with plenty of pictures of Ron Swanson on the wall. The servers are very polite and helpful. The food quality and portion is definitely worth the price. No reservations so I'd recommend calling ahead to see wait times. Also BYOB.

Very crowded and busy on weekends for breakfast

If you're a Parks and Recs fan...THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. A Ron Swanson themed restaurant is just what the world and every person needs. My friends and I all chose different dishes and weren't disappointed at the slightest by any of them. Highly recommend you all do the same when it comes to a party of 3 or more. Just share a few bites off each other's plates. Will definitely come back here one day.
