I hate to be in the minority of what seems to be a plethora of rave reviews - the reviews were what had me choose this establishment in the first place - but we were not wowed. I had heard amazing things about the loaf of cornbread, which was amazing, but ended up being 4 thick slices, not the “loaf” I was expecting. We ordered a variety of things - grilled cheese with tomato basil soup which wowed in size but not in flavor, pulled chicken nachos, which was light on chicken and extremely heavy on iceberg lettuce, and berry French toast and eggs, which again, looked more amazing than it tasted. Even the drinks tasted watered down. Service was great, waiter was attentive and friendly, portion size was impressive, but overall we all felt meh about everything we ordered - aside from the cornbread, which we all agreed was the highlight of the meal.

Friendly atmosphere and quality food. Most of my family get the grilled cheese with short rib. Top notch. Daughter gets the sushi and has not been disappointed. I have tried a number of items and it is always good. Good place for meetings and get togethers. Highly recommended.

Westwood Tavern would've earned 5 stars tonight but I just found out that, even on days like today that peaked at a heat index of 110°, they don't let their outdoor bartenders wear shorts. What kind of evil management purposefully makes their staff suffer in this fashion?! Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter and I'm sure the rule will not bend for the benefit of the staff that keeps repeat costumers like myself coming back for more. I understand a dress code and perhaps management is avoiding some inappropriate shorts coming to work but with approval, I think this policy could come to an agreeable end. That aside, I love this place; great service, delicious food, cold drinks, and the outdoor bar is outstanding on a warm summer day/night. I highly recommend it and hope more customers will voice their support of the sweltering outdoor staff.

Very large place, tons of seating for large groups. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. As an added bonus there is a unique section of recliner chairs for eating and watching TV. Food is pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but they do have a few interesting items on the menu. I was disappointed with the variety of beers on tap.

Cam through her for lunch and needed a space to stay while my husband ran to a meeting. Staff was extremely accommodating and got be a table near an outlet. We had salads which were huge and tasty. Beverages were great. We enjoyed the space as well. I'd visit again if I were in the area.

Amazing place and great staff. We were planning on getting lunch elsewhere but decided last minute to check out this place. The outside seating was great and the staff was very friendly. We ordered a pulled chicken tacos for the table and decided to split the veggie burger between two people which was a great decision considering the portions were huge. The nachos were simply out of this world and the burger was great. The fries were very fresh and crispy. Great place overall, would come back in a heartbeat!

if you are looking for a cool spot just to have a few beers after work - then this is the spot for you. its got a cool easy going crowd and the service is great. also the specials are pretty awesome. I also like the booths that already have taps in them. definitely give this spot a try

This is a great restaurant and bar. It's not often you find a restaurant with two levels, two bars, and the sushi bar all in one place. There's also a seating area with recliners and 6 televisions to just sit back relax and enjoy a drink and food with friends. The service is great the wait was not long I'll be back.

Great restaurant in Schaumburg near Woodfield Mall. Large dining and bar area decorated very cool. My group had burgers, sandwiches, and a salad. Portions were very large, which I like, salad was huge. I would definitely go back next time I'm near the area.

The Steak Bacon Burger was delicious. This was my first time visiting and everything was great. We brought a party of 12. The apps came out in a timely fashion, and so did the meals. Our waiter was attentive, prompt, and extremely courteous. He remembered who ordered what without pause. I'd definitely eat here again. Given that I'm not familiar with as many businesses in this area, I'm glad to have a go-to. The aesthetic was also pleasing.

Good food and good drink. We've been here quite a few times and the food doesn't disappoint. Plus a good beer and wine selection doesn't hurt. Come early though as it does tend to fill up on nights and weekends. Oh and try the pot roast.

This place is our go-to anytime we have guests visiting us. Great food, good drinks in a very cool environment. Strongly recommend the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the sweet chili glaze salmon. Can't go wrong with the wings either. Basically anything you order will be great and the prices are very reasonable.

We came before the tenth hour of the evening. The bar has two floors. We walked on the top of the stairs though came a waitress. He greeted us with just a smile. We sat down and after a few minutes when we were not being serviced, we approached the bar where the top floor is closed for the moment. Too bad none of the staff told us that. We had to go down to the lower floor, where I have to admit service was pretty average. It was that nice, if tables were a little cleaner. I ordered a drink Blue Island, unfortunately, did not have Blue Curacao So, she brought me a side of cherry juice. I did not know what it has in common with each other. Blue and red. And two different flavors. Place looks to quite serious but were a little disappoint.

Parking is a *itch until CostCo closes other than that 5/5. I was very disappointed with the chicken sandwich, see the pic. I mean really, that chicken should have been twice that big. Very disappointed on that.

Upon the first bite of my food, I instantly knew it contained an ingredient that I can't eat (I could see it and taste it). It wasn't mentioned in the description of the food, and when I politely asked our waitress about it, she told me the chef said that ingredient wasn't in the food. A complete lie. The waitress rudely asked me if I wanted something else, I politely declined, and then received a bill for the untouched food on the table. I'd never been treated so horribly in a restaurant. I have never written a bad review for a restaurant. I sugggest others (especially those with food allergies who need to trust the chef's word) steer clear of this restaurant.

This place was a total surprise. It's like a upscale bar, beautifully decorated. Everything on the menu looked great! We went with the chicken nachos, which were awesome. Then the prime rib dip and foot long grilled cheese and pot roast. It was all great. Our Server Andy was polite, easy to work with and on top of everything. We will get going back!

Westwood is all right! Not at all bad, but admittedly mediocre. It is a nice place to get food and drinks and also to hang out with a small group (i.e. no more than 6, unless you manage to rent a party room upstairs). While this place is not very fun and lively, nor is it romantic, it is good for what it is, a suburban neighborhood tavern. They have excellent wings and drinks are reasonably priced (then again, this is the suburbs), so I would say it's a great place for locals.

They accommodate my food allergies (Dairy/Gluten) and it's a fun place to visit after work or on the weekend for a game with friends. They have some great party rooms as well with reasonable prices if you just want to have a few friends and an open bar. I enjoyed their BBQ wings the most, chopped salads are always fresh and their burgers are pretty perfect!

I would not have believed it was possible to improve on the BBQ Bacon Burger but Westwood has done it with their Baby Back Burger! A big beef patty topped with BBQ Baby Back Rib Meat, Chipotle Mayo, Cheddar Cheese & Onion Strings on a Pretzel Bun. Seriously one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. Comes with delicious fries and costs $11. The only downside to this amazing burger is that I will probably never order anything else from their menu to find out if there are other items just as worthy of praise. The other people I went with also ordered food, and seemed fine, but to be honest I was not paying attention. My burger was too good.

First and last time here. The service was terrible. Friends and I were told to “quiet down” just for laughing and having a good time. We were not being loud at all and when we were walking out the waitress told us she was sorry but it was too late. I thought it was a tavern...guess you have to eat in silence if you dine here.

I had my wedding/reception here! I worked with Dena (Banquet Manager) & Ashley (Banquet Assistant Manager). They were both phenomenal and very accommodating. The groom and I had our first date at this location and it was very important to us that we were able to have our wedding and reception here too. The night of, the service staff was very accommodating. They were on their toes and quick to respond to any request. The team was also very attentive to my and my guests needs. It was the perfect venue and the perfect experience. I could not say a bad thing about my entire experience working with the Westwood Tavern team!

We used Westwood Tavern for our grandmother's funeral luncheon. We got the wine room which was beautiful and perfect for the amount of people that came. We gave them a range of people and they worked around that number. Appetizers were great, food was good. The wine and beer package worked out perfectly. I have no complaints about the room, food or about the service. Everyone was helpful and nice. Glad we went there.

Tried to go here on a Friday at 6:30 pm. We wanted to watch the Bulls game and celebrate our friend's birthday. The parking lot was full. We all had to park at Costco and walk over. We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for our party of 8. There was no room at the bar and they only have two seats near the front door to wait. We still hadn't been seated by 8pm. We asked numerous times about our table and weren't told much other than to keep waiting. When we got our text notifying us our table was ready (2 hours and 15 minutes after putting our name on the list) we were already seated at nearby Fox and Hound and had drinks and starters at the table. I won't be back.

My husband and I had our vow renewal party at Westwood and had an amazing experience. Amanda and Joanna worked with us for months to make sure everything went smoothly and were always quick to respond. We had a great time and are very thankful to everyone at Westwood.

Visiting from out of town with my friend. Our service was awful. We ate outside and our server never checked on us, that we had to get our next drink from the bar. Our server delivered our food and my eggs were luke warm. The food and drinks were tasty, but our server never brought our requested condiments for our food that I had to ask the hostess to bring it. He failed to bring our bill when asked. Awful awful awful service. Wouldn't return because of service.

Much better than standard bar fare. Have gone out for drinks with friends and date nights with the wife. Very good beer and drink selection. Place is big with an upstairs lounge area and rooms for private parties. Food options are plentiful with some standard bar standbys, but also a large more upscale menu. Tons of tvs, so great for watching games. Have also gone with the family and good kids options. The outdoor patio area is great in the summer, but can get very crowded. Service is consistently good with friendly staff.

Chicken and waffles... well in my estimation being a southern person it was just okay. The batter on the chicken seemed more of a tempura than it's traditional Southern Fried version. The waffles were a little over cooked too. The place was interesting and I'd go back one more time to try the sushi.

Try the cornbread. It's delicious. My dad liked his clam chowder, and my mother said her beer salad was very good. My chopped salad was totally unoriginal - to the point where I would have to say it was the most boring chopped salad I have had in the last two or three years. It took a long time to get both the cornbread appetizer and the rest of what we ordered. The delay appeared to be in the kitchen, not with our server, who was pleasant.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out in Schaumburg. It's a classier bar compared to some others nearby and is usually pleasantly full creating an energetic atmosphere. There are a few large conference facilities nearby that supply this place with lots of corporate patrons who keep it classy. They have permanent table tappers in their booths and have a lounge with reclining chairs upstairs along with a second, smaller bar. The food is quite good!

I just had my wedding reception at Westwood and it was phenomenal. Amanda was amazing throughout the whole process and set up everything for me without any guidance and she did an amazing job. All my guests raved about the staff who were amazing and polite and went out of their way. 5 stars is not enough for what Amanda and her staff did for my wedding reception. I went for my first time last Saturday. It has a good atmosphere. There were high top tables and booths, with screens all around. The prices were good for drinks and apps too. We got the wings and the fries. My friend and I didn't like the buffalo garlic parmesan wings, and thought the sweet chili wings didn't have enough of the chili factor. The fries were very good with the aioli sauce. The sauce itself wasn't outstanding, but still good. I'm planning to go back soon!

Went in for a quick bite on a Monday night but it took kinda long. Our waiter had several tables including a table of about 12 guys that was taking a lot of his time so it took too long to order and when we were finished it took awhile for the check. I had the veggie burger which was delicious. The fries were fresh and very tasty. Our waiter was very nice and went out of his way to accommodate our young son. The Mac n Cheese special was delish!

Normally I have no problems here...but this time the food was cold and the waitress response was everything was cooked at the same same time. My response..well that's the problem. It doesn't take steamed asparagus, fries and pot roast the same amount of time to cook.

Good place for lunch. I met a couple of friends for lunch and had a good experience. Friendly staff, good food and nice adult beverage selection. I tad bit pricey but all around a good time. I hear the outdoor patio is a big draw. Will have to check it out when it's not Wintertime.
