I came here for brunch. It was good and our server was really attentive. When you sit down they serve you a slice of cake. I have no clue what's half of cake it was, but it was really good. Tweet is in too far from my apartment so I definitely see myself coming back here. FYI, it is a cash only establishment. If you don't have cash they have an ATM by their bar.

The food, drinks, and staff are terrific. Very conducive for diet restrictions. Weather permitting outdoor seating is great. On the down side it is cash only (however there is ATM machine available) and indoor seating is very loud if you are sensitive to noise.

Omg, this place was absolutely amazing! I am gluten free and my mom is vegan; when we were in Chicago we looked for a place that catered to our needs and this was the cheapest. When we got there we were met by a very friendly man who goes by Alex. We have to give him an extra special shout out because he was nothing short of awesome. The customer service was amazing, and the food was delicious!

I got the quiche because I love quiche and honestly, it was the worst quiche I've ever had. It was dry, flavorless, and the crust was tough. BUT I tried my boyfriend's eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The wait staff was very good, also.

The wait staff was super friendly, quick and accommodating. I got there at noon but my friend was running late, so i was told to sit at the bar to wait for her while they still took my name. I had their bloody Mary which was pretty decent. I chuckled when I asked for all the spice offered and the bartender warned me it would be "very" spicy. Being Latina, that has a different meaning for me. It had a good kick :) When my friend finally arrived we were seated within minutes despite it having gotten busier. Our waiter was there right away, and our food came out fast. I had the biscuits and gravy. The only thing preventing this from being 5 stars is that I would have liked a little more sausage in my gravy. I wouldn't have minded waiting a few more minutes to allow the gravy to soak a little into the biscuits either. Having said that, it was still pretty good and my friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict very much. I also love that they immediately serve you small cake slices when they seat you. Today's choice was chocolate chip cake and it was very delicious. I would definitely come back.

They were so sweet and entertaining. I had a flat tire on the way to the gym and decided I was going to come in and eat. Great music and hospitality. Delicious food. Seriously the best flat tire ever. This place is amazing and atmosphere is so inviting. Alex was awesome too!

Tweet is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite during the day. Their service is always phenomenal and their food never disappoints! I appreciate the fact that they have a plethora of gluten free options and that they're all quite tasty. It's my "go to" spot for a quick, tasty, and satisfying meal during the day. That's not to say that their bar next isn't great either after hours. They have great drinks and food specials at the bar as well even late at night!

Love the food, but it's always super loud and super crowded (wait time has never been less than 40 minutes when I've gone). Best to go in the summer when there's outdoor seating. Cash only which is a bummer. Honestly the coffee makes up for everything though

I used to enjoy this place a lot more. Recently, however, I feel like their food quality has gone down significantly. Specifically, the cooks seem to gave trouble cooking eggs (which you would think is a simple enough task for a breakfast place). No matter how I order my eggs, they come overcooked and burnt to a crisp. Also the service at this place is less to be desired for. I suspect this is because they pool tips, which lessons your waiter's incentive to be attentive.

All the ingredients were fresh! I had an omelet with spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese. I was quite amazed at how generous they were with the portion size as how delicious it was. I could actually taste the goat cheese. The hashbrowns were very crispy on the outside as well as fresh and delightfully tasty. My daughters also enjoyed their pancakes and loved the jovial waiters. The 4.7 review rating is completely laughable. The eggs were runny, the hash browns were bland and tasteless. The French toast was also extremely soggy. The whole restaurant smelled like mopped up beer and the silverware was dirty. The wait time was also completely off as we were told half an hour but it took just over one hour to get seated. Places that have a lower rating than Tweet are many levels above it. If you value well cooked and delicious food this is not the place for you.

Great restaurant and service. Wait time is a lot longer but if the tweet team to crack the wait time then this is a best choice for all around neighborhood feel. Possibly have an online reservation with "relative" best estimate of wait time feature would be helpful

This breakfast and brunch spot was recommended by my Airbnb host. It was a short walk away with the Buttercup park close by. Dave Ramsey would be proud of this spot since it accepts cash only. In this day of mostly cashless society, it hasn't stopped diners from frequenting this place. For a Monday morning, it was busy. Before being seated, the hostess asked about my dietary restriction. Their menu covered a wide variety like gluten free and vegetarian among others. As I was seated, I was immediately served the complimentary coffee cake. Their iced coffee came with a carafe and tasted like cold brew which I like. I tried the new avocado toast on wheat with salad and fruit. I surely missed reading the parts of the reviews about huge portions. After the coffee cake and fruit, I was starting to feel full then the avocado toast and salad came. Packed the salad and the remaining iced coffee to go. Glad that I checked out this Uptown gem!

What a delightful experience! Service was prompt, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There was a complimentary pastry presented, which was delicious, and a nice touch! The food was well-executed, standard fare, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Also, of great importance, the coffee was really nice. I love this place! First, they provide kids with a little basket of toys and books to play with during the meal. It always keeps my children entertainedl. Second, one of my kids cannot consume gluten. Tweet has a fairly extensive, very tasty gluten free menu. Finally, their bloody Mary's are my favorite in the city. Enjoy!

The decor is eclectic, atmosphere is welcoming and casual. You start with a sweet bread at your table when you sit down. We ordered a mother's helper and bloody Mary, both were delicious! For meals we had the numero uno breakfast burrito and the corned beef hash, again both were delicious. We also had a side of bacon which had a nice smoke to it. The rye toast with the hash is a hearty portion. Bonus, they bring out a fruit cup while you wait for your meal. Highly recommend this place! We came on a weekday, our server mentioned they get quite busy on the weekends.

The food itself was as good as you'd hope but not blow you away good. Great selection of food and drink choices. What really makes this place stand out is its great service, especially if you have little ones. They provided our 1.5 year old with toys, books, and crayons. Every staff person said hi to him and engaged him in some way. The service to us was great as well, but we've never had any place do such an exceptional job with our little dude!

This is my all time favorite brunch place in Chicago. They have THE BEST corned beef hash ever. They give you a little piece of cake when you sit down and almost all of their brunch dishes come with a cup of fresh fruit (or fruit compote)!! They have coffee available while you wait. Awesome gluten free menu for anyone with an allergy or intolerance. Awesome gf pumpkin pancakes. Cash only though! Don’t let that stop you, it’s just so good!

If you bring a dog prepare to wait, there are only a couple tables on that patio that they allow a dog on. Even though my partner was driving our dog back after not being told of the limited dog seating (5 min there, 5 back if that) so we wouldn't have to wait an extra hour, our waiter was audibly annoyed we had been sat without him, even though we didn't yet know what we wanted to order anyway. The meal I wanted (kale burger) was sold out which was no big deal, but it took our waiter longer to come back and tell me that than he waited for my partner to come back from the dog drop off. I ended up getting the chilaquiles which were pretty good. They are very accommodating for babies, bringing age appropriate toys which kept them entertained and quiet for the other guests which was lovely and thoughtful.

LOVE this place! The staff is great, the food is great, the decor is super cool. There’s usually a wait for brunch over the weekends, but you can get a drink at the bar till your table is ready. We had a party of 8, 2 locals and 6 out of towners and had excellent service for breakfast. Every single plate was awesome. Everyone devoured their platesI had the (arepas) corn pancakes with black beans,chorizo, eggs, and chorizo. It was really good. Every plate came with a small cup of fresh fruit and there was an amazing pastry that was on the table that is given before the meals.Michelada was good not great, but were from Arizona. Bloody marys were awesome! Lots of quirky pantings, some of naked people( Its art no need to be uptight) We're very open people, so we were fine with it all. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back when we are in chicago again!!

I love this place. From a gluten free perspective, they do a great job of tracking their dishes. Their menu states that they cannot guarantee full avoidance of cross contamination, but I haven't gotten any of my symptoms after a meal here. Speaking of their food...I only get Breakfast stuff. Pancakes usually, and they are moist and generously sized. This is especially important since they are gluten free. Many gluten free foods can be dry and taste like..... chalk. The service is ALWAYS top notch. My *only* request would be that they stay open a little later. But thats just me being selfish. I don't have a car and live far away. Nonetheless I manage to get there at least once per month. It's worth the trip. ♡

This wonderful brunch location should be a must stop for anyone visiting Chicago. With great options for alternative diets, and an amazing bar selection. The only thing to watch out for, is this is a cash only buisness. There is an ATM on premise if you happen to be cashless.

Extensive menu, and everything is done well. Love the atmosphere. Be prepared to wait, but there's a great bar with breakfast cocktails to pass the time. Their bloodies are famous!

Super great little cafe. I love the gluten free and vegan options. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch food as well as tons of drinks. You also get a free pastry! It is cash only, but they have an atm.
