Not at all pleased with the food. Ordered shrimp and half of the plate had just the heads of the shrimp. The shrimp were different and not bad at all. But I had paid 26 dollars for a half a lb of shrimp.

I had the Enchiladas Suizas and it was the best Mexican food I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and the food came out fast. I would highly recommend this place.

If you want real ethnic Mexican food this is the place to go. They even have a Mexican grocery store in the front. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Food was good, came out quick. Asked for a drink menu to see margarita sizes, prices, etc. But was told there isn't one. A customer asked for something on draft but was told they don't have any drafts (even with 4 taps visible on bar.) Waitress was friendly and spoke super good English though so that's a plus.

You don't need to go to Cherokee St to get truly authentic Mexican. This is one of our favorite places. It started as a market serving food and has evolved into a full restaurant with market. Extensive menu has the good meats. Don't expect ground beef tacos here. They have goat barbacoa, lingua, tripe etc. Just go. Then go across the street to No Tierra, which is my personal favorite.

Fantastic, one of the best choices to get the authentic Mexican cuisine around here. The biggest thing for me is they're menu, which is much closer to authentic Mexican than the tex-mex that most places have. My only down side is that the service can sometimes be not so great, but the food is golden.

Food was great but the server was slow. Later we found out that she was more worried about chatting with her friend than providing us with customer service. We noticed the other servers were a lot more attentive to their guests so it was probably just the one. Prices were about $10/plate. We will go back and hope to be seated in a different area.

Love eating here but had to do a review after today's experience... Juan, our waiter was excellent and our food came out fast, hot and prepared perfect, just as ordered! Have been going here since it was a small building with a few tables and grocery store. It has definitely blossomed into a family friendly place that I love taking my family to for any meal of the day! The lengua is perfect!

I didnt eat here. Just went to grocery store . Which is fantastic . Filled with anything Mexican ingredients you could want and an amazing meat case . I got the marinated skirt steak . I made steak street tacos and they were really really good .

service was terrible. server never came back after taking our order. we only saw the food runner. waited forever for drinks and food..then my tacos were wrong and my tamales didnt come out. after waiting 10 min after everyone elses food came i got up to ask and no one knew anything about them tamales..by the time I got my food everyone one else was done asked for manager and was told it was his day off asked them to take my food off and they could keep it since I couldnt eat and was told only the manager could approve that so I had to pay for it and call him the next day. will NEVER go back

The portions, the prices, the service, all top notch. Chips served with 2 kinds of salsa and fresh pico degallo (which was fantastic). I had the flour tortilla tacos with carne asada and goat barbacoa. Both were delicious. Arrive hungry, and leave full!

This is not your typical chain Mexican restaurant. If you like it spicy/hot they have it! Large portions I was able to get 3 meals from my dinner plate.

This just might be the most Mexican place I've eaten at so far in or around St. Louis in all this time! The food is really good. No cheese to ruin the flavours. You can distinguish the spices and ingredients used in each dish. We accidentally landed here because the actual destination was closed and stood right opposite. I'm glad we found it!

From my multiple experiences at this mexican restaurant the food has always been good, but the service has not. I honestly feel if they want customers to keep coming back the service needs to be a little better. This restaurant is honestly worth the try if you want a good meal. Remember nobody is perfect in this world, but you can improve to be better.
