Downtown Chicago? This is a perfect venue for any kind of occasion from special meal to meeting friends for a drink. Food is delicious and great drink selection with a warm, relaxed vibe. Also very helpful that there’s a parking lot just steps away.

Best pan seared halibut I have ever had and a heirloom carrot salad that was incredible. On the negative side, the fish and chips are a thumbs down. However I still will give this place a five- star rating and I will return here in my next trip. The restaurant have several rooms at different levels of noise and crowd levels. The bar is also superb.

I went here after work for some appetizers and drinks, and the food and service were great. One of the appetizers we ordered was some type of crab fritters (must have been seasonal), and they were delicious! We also tried the burrata and truffle fries. I also love the vintage decor and atmosphere here. Very fun, centrally-located spot.

Fantastic. My date and I went here for the first time ever several days ago. I got the burger with a side of mashed potatoes, and my date ordered chowder. We also ordered a starter dish: Japanese curry poutine, and a small bite: Empanadas. Both of us enjoyed what we ordered. I especially wish I didn’t get full so soon or else I would’ve finished the mashed potatoes, which turned out to be the right amount of buttery and fluffy to taste. Lastly, our server was super responsive to our needs. Considering how great the overall experience was, I think we might have to come back next time for the steaks. Can’t wait!

I had brunch with my friend and his daughter at The Dearborn this past Sunday 6/16/19... I was extremely impressed with the service and the food! I believe our servers name was Brian and he was incredibly knowledgable and very friendly! I travel all over the country on a weekly basis and eat out 5-6 nights per week... Brian was the best server I have ever seen! Both the manager and owner also came by our table to thank us for dining with them and we had a nice conversation with both! We also learned that our server had only been on the job for 3 months which is incredible based on the amount of knowledge he had regarding the menu and the wine list! I also told both how amazing our service was! Anyway, I eat at lots of places that either have good service but average food or good food and average service... The Dearborn didn't just have amazing service however, the food was AMAZING! From the apps, to the main course and desert - all of it was AMAZING! Can't wait to go back on my next visit to Chicago!!!

Had a really terrific anniversary dinner her. The atmosphere is nostalgic and cozy. Service was primo. Our favorite dishes were the prosciutto and scallion flatbread, Halibut, corn chowder and the banana chocolate mouse. The food was both fresh and contemporary while having plenty of comfort options. We will definitely be back.

This place is like a classy Cheers which is especially cool being located in the Loop. Great vibe, very friendly, and good food. Especially great place to go before or after catching a show in the surrounding theater district. Feel like they have lots of regulars.

Really nice atmosphere, the food is good but you would expect a bit better for the price. The fish from my Girlfriends fish and chips you could tell it wasn't fresh. Staff over all is good although I didn't like how the waiter called me Bud(buddy)just cause I'm a bit younger. I might comeback. Not bad. Good for a nice dinner.

I think there is a limited menu here but that said, the hamburger was awesome and the brussel sprouts were delicious. I would go back for those only. Bar is loud and you can barely have a conversation it the restaurant area is typical Chicago volume.

Great service, food, and drinks! Definitely recommend this place if you're coming with a group of friends or for a date night! There's comfortable seating in the open areas or there are booths with more of an intimate setting. The atmosphere is very cool. We tried the poutine and bread rolls to start. Then had to try the burger we've heard so much about with truffle fries, very tasty and filling! Can't wait to come back :)

All of us were very impressed with the level of service at this restaurant. Some people ordered starters, some ordered entree’s. Not all of our food came out at the same time ( we were visiting and really didn’t notice ) but the server came and apologized, the manager came and apologized and sent out house salads for us. It was the first time in a long time that I have been to a restaurant that cared. We will definitely be back. And recommend it to all we know.

Mediocre food and limited menu offered in a fancy venue. Neither the quality nor the quantity of the dish shines in any way. May have a better experience going there for a drink but won’t give the food a second chance. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, however.

Stopped by for some dinner after work and found a seat at the bar. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly! I tried the hamburger due to the prior reviews and was not disappointed. If you are in the mood for a hamburger and a beer, this is the place to visit. While a bit pricey, I would say it’s worth it given the overall experience! See what you think.

It was our first time here and we decided to try a few different drinks along with the pastrami hash and heuvos for brunch. The food and the drinks were amazing! Tried the Dearborn burger w/ foie gras and parmesan truffle fries...pricey for sure but dang it was definitely one of the best burger and fries I've ever had. Definitely recommend if you don't mind splurging. Service was also excellent.

This was our splurge for lunch and didn't know quite what to expect. I felt a little underdressed as it appeared many business types enjoy lunch here but the restaurant made us feel welcome from the outset. Lauren did an excellent job of helping us with our menu choices and comfortable with her casual banter about the city. Additionally, the GM, stopped by our table and others just to politely touch base to make sure everything met our expectations. Finally, we were offered postcards to mail out on their postage letting out friends and family know of our trip... what a hoot! An excellent place that we would highly recommend and return to.

My siblings and I had lunch here prior to a show. It is a very upscale “ladies who lunch” destination. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. We were teasing him about the extensive ingredient list of the salad of the day, and it was nice that he also had a good sense of humor. Between the 3 of us all of the food was excellent- a Reuben, a Cuban, and the aforementioned salad of the day with chicken. I would highly recommend the Dearborn whether you are a young professional or an elderly woman out shopping.

I had had dinner here several times, and it had always been great, and today I went for brunch for the first time. Even though my experiences had been pleasant before, I was still very positively surprised: the brunch menu is fantastic, the cocktails were great, and most of all, the wait staff are very friendly and go a little bit beyond what you would typically see. Job well done, and will be coming back for brunch.

Great service - super attentive staff. The server made some great suggestions, and offered that entrees could be customized with other meat/seafood options. Everything we tried was great, but not a lot of choice for picky eaters. Definitely not a budget restaurant, but you do get excellent quality for your money. I would definitely return.

We had a good lunch here. The service was excellent and the food well prepared and delicious. The Cubana sandwich had a generous filling of tender meat and came with a nice salad. My fellow diner said he enjoyed his Curry Chicken BLT. We will plan to eat here again when in Chicago. Very good food, pretty reasonable price. Above average service. I suggest a reservation for sunday brunch as it was crowded.

The food was delicious and artfully prepared and presented. The Rock Bloody Marys were the best ever, “How a Bloody Mary should be” as per Alex. This is the best dining experience we have had since we arrived in Chicago three days ago! L⭐️VE!

Excellent seevive ans delicious food. We went for my sister's bachelorette party and it was easily the best experience I have had at a upper scale restaurant. The food was marvellous, the staff was incredible, our waiter, Michael, was incredibly personable and completely kind. He ensured we had a fabulous night. He is also very knowledgeable on the menu and was able to talk me through all of my options due to my allergies. Also, the chocolate ice cream was the best part.

Pretty much anything you may wish to imbibe from the full service bar and great accompaniments from the kitchen in a relaxed setting. Open late, too. Helpful staff and great service.

Overpriced. Seafood chowder was bland. Mac n cheese was just large pieces of pasta in a soupy sauce, did not resemble a mac n cheese at all. Busser kept filling my water glass with all ice. Burger was good but small portion for price. Atmosphere was nice and service was very fast. Spend your money elsewhere.

Amazing food, wonderful, personable staff.. this is the preferred Restaurant my family and I go to when we are in the area for one of the theaters. . If we plan ahead and get a reservation. It is not impossible to get a table , however if you to get one without reservation on a busy night, there will most likely be a wait. Reservation is recommended, we usually try to do it a week in advance, however it may not even require a week's notice... it is just always a good idea because this is a very popular restaurant that has amazing food so it fills up fast!!

Our server wasnt really attentive she was off talking to other co-workers most of the time. We saw her 3 times, to take order drinks, to take orders, to give us the check. The food however was amazing. The bus boys were awesome! I always had water in my cup and they made sure our table was cleared respectfully. Def would go back.

Loved this place. Our server was outstanding (with a super cool wooden bowtie!) and everything came out quickly and beautifully. My husband and I split an entree and they plated the single entree as 2 to make it easy. Everything was yummy, but the dessert.... sooo good. It was a gooey butter cake with honey ice cream. I wished that I had it first so I had room for every delicious crumb.

Great lunch spot in the Loop. It is very similar to the Gage, which is owned i believe by the same restaurant group. I actually prefer The Dearborn menu slightly for diversity of options. The menu is not overwhelming, but seems to offer something for everyone. I love the beef tongue & oxtail stew, which is unique but also immensely enjoyable. The salads are very good as well, but note it is pretty expensive to add sides. Our service was good and we had an all around wonderful time.

We visited the Dearborn on a Sunday while waiting for someone to see a musical in the area. Typical prices for Chicago. The food was very good however. Will probably be back in if we have someone else seeing a show.

We stopped here on a hot summer Saturday after phoning ahead for a reservation a few minutes before. The Dearborn is a busy and popular place for weekend brunch - a reservation is recommended. After siteseeing on the riverfront we were heading to the train out to O'Hare, and wanted a good meal that would see us through the rest of our long day of travel. The Dearborn offered something appealing for each member of our family, while being an upscale, yet comfortable experience. Our waiter was attentive and professional, and made good recommendations about the dishes. The huevos rancheros were absolutely fantastic!

This place has been my to go favorite spot for dinner and drinks due to the proximity of where I'm staying. Their portions are fair and competitively priced compared to other restaurants in a 5 block radius. I feel this restaurants service is above all since the entire staff is very attentive even up to who I presume are the manager or owners who frequent the floor checking on their patrons.

I love love love this place! It's my go to place for brunch with my best friend. The food, drinks, and dessert are incredible! Huevos rancheros is my go to and my friend gets the crab Benedict and it's always on point. If you see churros on the menu, get them for dessert. You won't be disappointed!

One of my favorite places in the city, the Dearborn is a wonderful addition to the theater district. In close proximity to the CIBC, Oriental, and several others, the Dearborn is a great spot to grab a drink or have a nice meal before seeing a show. I especially like their truffle fries and burgers. The wait staff always offers excellent service.
