Passed by here so many times since it's on the corner of State and Archer, and finally made the time to stop by this past month. I ordered the Shroom. It was absolutely packed with mushrooms, which was great. However, the buns were so soggy and the same thing goes for the fries. Don't get me wrong, I actually like soggy fries (from McDonald's), but these were beyond soggy. On the other hand, the service was great. The cashier was quick to let me know how long my order would take so I could make it in time for my next appointment. Feel like I didn't even wait that long and the bag was in my hand, ready to go! Would love to come back to try the spiral potato stick and other burgers!

I live around Chinatown so occasionally I stop by to order. Just my opinion this particular area of South Loop is strange for eating out. There's Acadia (the Michelin starred restaurant), Chinatown a block away, the nearby Subways, a nearby cafe, the nearby Thai restaurant, and this burger restaurant. Years ago I was served by an older male that was surly. He was that type that asked "Name?" "That's it?". I don't know if they got rid of him recently but I didn't like ordering from him. With that out of the way the burgers here are decent. They aren't overloaded to the brim so you can't taste individual ingredients but conversely they aren't 2 patties and cheese type burgers.

The veggie burger was very bland to me. I personally like spicy food. The burger wasn't close to having any king of taste. Tasted like rice and potatoes without salt. The avocado slice right in the middle was a nice touch.

I'm not really writing a review for this because I cannot put into words the great experience I had at Burger Point. The owner was more than accommodating and the food was phenomenal. They are completely organic and fresh and even have biodegradable straws. Definitely a place to eat for a good time

Ive been coming here for about 6-7 years, pretty much the week they opened, and i gotta say they got some of the best wings I've ever had. The prices are really good too. I've only had 2 or 3 of their burgers and they're also amazing. Wish they had more locations, hopefully one day.

It was very good, burger was huge and very tasty! Fries were good except once they cooled off they were just ok. Kind of like McDonald's fries, great when hot, edible when cooled off. Service was good.

Lovely place to grab a bite to eat. Everything is fresh and prepared to order. Staff are friendly and make an effort to ensure your satisfied each time you come in. Much better than a portillos or the other local burger fastfood places in the area. I’d be surprised if you didn’t enjoy the food and atmosphere. Oh, and there are TVs to catch a game or local news on.

What a great burger! They have an extensive menu and a LOT of creative ingredients and sides. Get the potato spiral! And you definitely can share the fries here. The only downside is that it's not a huge place so seating comes at a premium.

One of my absolute neighborhood faves. It's BYOB. I always get the Dirty South Burger and hand cut sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar. It usually takes about 15 minutes. The burger is cooked medium well, unless u ask for it to be made differently, and it's never dry. The pretzel bun is soft. I love it. Hands down a South Loop winner. The staff is nice and a bit playful. You'll hear them joking around with each other. It's a cool spot for a kicked back meal.

One of the better burger spots you will find. You have the option of getting a 6 oz or 12 oz burger. I tried the 6 oz burger point with a large fry and a drink. It was pretty good. The burger was well done and you get more than enough fries to fill your belly. I will definitely be back to try another burger.

We've gotten burgers or wings here every so often the past 4 years, and every time it's just a little disappointing. Overall the burgers are good, but the fries are usually very oily and too salty. The service is however is extremely slow - to the point where you show up 20 minutes after calling a pickup order and they haven't even begun cooking your food, or this most recent time the burgers were ready but we waited 15 minutes just for the fries. So, if you dont mind wait, the burgers are worth a try!

It was the perfect blue cheese burger. It sounds like the beginning of a good graphic novel, but that was my experience. I didn't have to change anything at all about my burger. It was wonderfully balanced to me. The cashier is always very welcoming and the burgers are delicious. May this place last forever. ^_^

I friends and I visit burger points every time we go to a comic con in Chicago. We walk from the McCormick Place to burger point- every time we are all dressed up like crazy and the staff are thrilled to see us. The customer service is phenomenal and the food is even better. I have no bad words to say about burger point other then they can’t deliver to Wisconsin. It really is that good.

This was a phenomenal experience! I had a Classic with fries, something to set the base by which any other menu item would be judged, and the bar was set high! This truly was a tasty burger! Found this restaurant while I was driving through town and I have to say I am impressed! The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the restaurant and this also includes the bathroom.. excellent job folks!!! The kitchen is visible from the cash register and looks fantastic! The employees here are attentive and have very high standards both towards the restaurant and the food they prepare... My burger was fantastic! The meat was cooked perfectly, the vegetables we're fresh, and the lettuce even had a CRUNCH when bitten into! The burger was juicy but not greasy... It is obvious the ingredients they use are fresh and the beef is of a lean/high quality. My negative is the large portion of Fry's... It is big enough to serve 3 people!!! I had to trash 2/3 of the Fry's I ordered and I just hate wasting food. In conclusion, if you are in the mood for a good ole American made hamburger look no further than The Burger Point!!! You will not be sorry!!!

a great place in the neighborhood to get a burger. it's probably my second favorite hamburger i've had in Chicago (Au Cheval is number 1...). Make sure you order either the New American Classic or the Burger Point. It's never very crowded in there and the staff is very friendly and efficient.

Great place, so many choices for burgers, which are displayed in a slide show on a screen. (so many places need to do this) place opened at 11, we got there at 11:03 and the place was almost already packed up. Owner was great, came around, asked about our meal. Very cordial. You can tell the people love what they do there. Great food, great people, what else do you need.

The creative burgers had the choice of beef, turkey, chicken, or vegetarian for the patty. We will definitely come again if in the area and use the free parking lot in the back.

The Burger Point is my go to spot for a quick bite with high quality tasting ingredients. All staff is super friendly and the restaurant is casually inviting. The owner, Mike, recommend the Spanish Revolution hot dog and I was not disappointed. This is a sleeper item on a menu with many tasty burgers and every bite was a delicious combination.

WOW we stopped here on a whim and I was floored at how awesome this place is, I had to come on and leave a review. The service is impeccable. You can tell they really care (I'm pretty sure the owner takes orders) and immediately makes you feel welcome. All of the food is natural and you do not have to worry about any "funny business" ingredients. No hormones, antibiotics, or anything. I felt really comfortable having my 1 year old chomp on some of the food. The burgers we got were amazing, but the real money was the sweet potato fries. They were like God in my mouth.

By far my favorite restaurant ever!!! I eat out a lot and I’ve reviewed a lot of restaurants and I can honestly say this place is simply amazing! From the burgers that are absolutely unique and just flow with exceptional taste to the owner, Michael, who is the nicest, friendliest restaurant owner I have ever met, I recommend this place above any other restaurant, period!! I come her three or more times a week and always look forward to each bite of food. The fries are awesome and even though I haven’t tried the wings or half a dozen other burgers, I know, and have heard, that everything is amazing. Michael is almost always there, so introduce yourself, he loves meeting people. Knowing that this restaurant is his baby and passion only makes coming her more enjoyable.

Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. Burgers were great! I got the buffalo chicken made with ground chicken (which wasn't dry and had a good blue cheese sauce on top) and the boyfriend got blue cheese bacon burger (patty was well seasoned and the bacon jam was a nice touch). French fries were also fresh and hand cut. They must soak them and fry them twice because they were the crispiest hand cut fries I've had. On top of all of that the service was friendly and welcoming. If you're in the area it's worth checking out for some food.

Walked over from the hotel for a late lunch and we were welcomed immediately by (I’m assuming) the owner. Great menu selections and options...you can pretty much find your perfect burger here. The burgers and buns (great selection there as well) were fresh and juicy. The fresh cut fries were excellent and I loved the option for Old Bay! What I enjoyed most was watching the owner interact with the neighborhood kids who came in on their way home from school. He looked each one of them in the eye, shook their hand and exchanged a “proper greeting” with them - and expected the same in return. That’s what makes a great neighborhood feeling! I wish we weren’t just visiting; I would totally be back!

I don't often write reviews, but I'm doing so for this place literally as we're finishing our meal because it is so deserving of an amazing review. The owner is awesome, and the food totally amazed us!! I am from Louisiana and my partner is from France, so our expectations of food are very high, but we haven't had food this good in so long!! If you come to Chicago, you HAVE to come here or you're seriously missing out. Restaurants like this are RARE! Thank you for the amazing food!!

A dear friend of mine swore this place had the best Turkey burger and sweet potato fries in town. It did not disappoint...absolutely DELICIOUS! They had all my favorite toppings and the honey mustard dipping sauce...amazing! The owner was working the register, greeting customers, clearing tables, making everyone feel welcome! He kept a smile and he genuinely enjoyed providing everyone with the best dining experience. The Burger Point is on POINT...I love it and will make it a point

I highly recommend against this place. The food wasn't terrible, but it's clearly frozen meat, very dry and never cooked to the right temp. It's always more done than I asked for. The price is also insane. For a $15 burger I'd expect it to be amazing, and have had way way better from most places I've been. It tastes about as good as hamburger heaven express except their half the price. It's not bad, it's just supremely not worth the price.

A nice location, and fairly quiet for a Friday night! The food took about 15 minutes to arrive and cost under $30 for a nice size meal. The beef was high quality, but lacked depth. I felt like it was missing seasoning or flavor. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but wouldn't go back.

The Burger Point has great hamburgers, hot dogs, wings and fries. They offer a wide selection of each, including regular size and super size hamburgers with a large selection of accoutrements, several different flavorings of wings, and regular and sweet potato fries. I ordered a regular size bleu cheese hamburger and loved it. The staff is very friendly and happy to provide recommendations. Very rasonable prices. There is ample comfortable seating, but it is not a full service restaurant. Overall, I really enjoyed it and will be back.
