Just tried Burger Local for the first time this past week, I regret not trying this restaurant earlier! I had a mushroom and swiss burger, my wife had the BBQ burger which were both outstanding. There are a handful of specialty burger options or build your own. The drink menu is pretty good with lots of options, out door seating and the decor is pretty cool and inviting. They do not take reservations but they do have a call ahead option. If your looking for a tasty burger, this is the place to try.

The burgers are amazing. The cocktails are imaginative. The best service I have ever seen anywhere. Really. They know their menu and are willing to help you get something extraordinary. Pricey for a burger. But so worth it.

Just like you would expect, delicious burgers. I’ve visited several times and always enjoyed my food. Some different yummy items on the menu. Great fish tacos and shrimp burger. Conveniently located near the train station, parking, and at the edge of the shopping/restaurant area of Geneva. Lots of TVs and the staff is accommodating to change the channel so you can watch your game. Great food. Every time I have been there Burgers are over the top, great beer and atmosphere right in downtown Geneva. Parking garage right next door.

My colleague and I arrived here at about 4:15pm on a Friday. I'm so happy we beat the wait because we were hungry! Food was really good and the Margaritas were too! My colleague ordered a Cosmo and an Apple Martini. She liked those as well. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because upon our arrival, the hostess didn't greet us at all, she only showed us to a table. That was horrible! I even said thanks afterwards and she still didn't say anything! Our waitress was nice, though. Overall, it's a cool atmosphere with people just out to have a good time. I'd go back!

Excellent service. Our waiter Eddie was great. Very friendly and accommodating to our food requests. They kind of waiter that brings you a fresh drink when yours is getting low without even having to ask. Not just Eddie, the bus boys we’re quick too. Just an efficient running restaurant. Everyone is working hard and moving quick. Been there 5-6 times now and it’s the same every time. And the food you ask? Amazingly delicious every time as well.

I’m don’t usually write poor reviews, as I prefer simply not to patronage a business after a poor experience but in this case, I felt management should be aware of shortcomings. Unfortunately there was no opportunity to address any of my concerns with the management, which was not available. My experience was tainted from the start as the host was atrocious. He was cold, snooty attitude and rude. Everyone in our group recognized his unwelcoming demeanor. Perhaps just a bad day, but the experience didn’t improve much from there. Our server was friendly but she didn’t come back to ensure the food was satisfactory. Food was mediocre and surprisingly bland. The menu is far more limited than their website lead on to - no wraps and a single chicken option and less than a dozen burger options. I had Crusade Burger Bar expectations in mind and was disappointed. I ordered the shrimp burger which arrived cold. I’m a mom so cold food is something I am accustom to, but cold shrimp burger is quite unpleasant, but I suppose overcooked shrimp is worse. I ended up sharing my friend’s meal, which was better than my cold shrimp. The Mac and cheese was noodles in a bland starchy Alfredo sauce, not at all “cheesy.” As a restaurant owner myself, I share this knowing that if it were my restaurant, I’d want to know where there are shortcomings. It appears from the other reviews this was an isolated experience on the food, but it does look like menu has undergone some changes. No business can get it right 100% of the time, but rude staff is something I find as intolerable. If you’re not a people person, don’t work in a service environment.

Delicious burgers. The French dip burger is my favorite. The plain Mac and cheese leaves a little to be desired so make sure you load it up- I recommend the gruyere! Also, the onion rings are excellent!!

Typically 5 stars. Tonight the house salad wasnt as good as usual and the fries weren't cooked enough or we're completely different than they usually use, because they didn't taste nearly as good. Still, the local burger was delicious. The pretzel bites were awesome as usual. Oh, but the traditional margaritas had WAY too much ice. We'll definitely be back and give it another try.

Burgers here are fantastic. It can get a bit loud during peak hours and super crowded so make sure you get on the wait list if you're thinking of going on a Friday or Saturday night and try to avoid these times if you would like it a bit quieter.

So nice here. We did take out. Everything was perfectly wrapped. They couldn't be any nicer. They asked if we want ketchup, mustard, silverware, napkins. Very friendly, not to mention how delicious the hamburgers were and the tater tots with shredded short ribs. DELICIOUS.

Yummy, yummy, yummy. Their mac and cheese is amazing. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. If you like big battered onion rings, this is the place to get them. Carry all sorts of good beers including lots of craft beers. great customer service and plenty of parking as the garage is right behind it. It's a popular place so the wait can get long if you don't come out right. Last time we waited a while but it's always worth it.

This place is always busy so I thought I would try it thinking it must be good. We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer and they we very doughy not at all what I was expecting and the onion inside was super thin. The burger was the Big Kahuna for me and 4 pepper burger for my husband. So sad because I was expecting a tasty, juicy full of flavor burger and it was not at all. The fries were undercooked and soggy. The only good thing was our server, she was very nice and attentive.

If you're going to put Burger in the name of your restaurant, you better be able to deliver the goods - and let me tell you The Burger Local definitely does! I've never been one to shy away from an egg on a burger, so on my first trip here I decided to build my own Local burger complete with bacon, avocado and a fried egg. STELLAR. I lovingly enjoyed every single bite of that beautifully cooked burger (and writing this right now has me seriously craving another one!). They have some alternative burgers (can't wait to try the black bean), wraps, salads, tacos, appetizers and desserts to choose from too. As a craft beer lover, I was super excited to see their giant chalk board of featured beers and they were the perfect addition to that burger. Looking forward to eating here again!

We found this place on Google maps. We were on our way to another event in Chicago. We were seated right away and our server greeted us and made great suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our experience. Our server, Nick, was incredibly impressive. He was so attentive to every table he served which seemed like the entire restaurant and manage to keep his pleasant, cheerful and calm disposition. We originally thought he was the manager. We will definitely come back and hope to have Nick again. We highly recommend this place. Be sure to ask for Nick!!

Burgers are amazing! I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it was Cooked perfectly, appetizer I had was the tots and this sauce idk what it was but wow amazing! The burgers were out of this world good! Beer choices were amazing, had all the NFL playoff games showing! Kept asking my waiter for more lemons for my water, for her to change the TVs so I could see the playoff game, never once gave me attitude and did it with a smile! Exceptional service will definitely be back a lot

I have now been to Burger local twice and both times have been good experiences. High ceilings and a large open dining room make the space feel big and even with a full house it didn't seem crowded. The service both times was very good, both at a table and the large bar. Polite and quick with good knowledge of the menu. The food was great, I got burgers and fries both times and the burgers were cooked perfectly as I ordered them. I haven't had a chance to try the mac and cheese but my friends said it was good. And even though it sounds weird, the shrimp burger is really good, I ate a couple bites of my girlfriend's though. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely keep going back for good food and a cool restaurant overall.

Awful service and terrible wait times. The host said 10-15 minutes or sooner, and we spent an hour waiting because they kept telling us “just a few more minutes.” We finally were seated and had to share a table with another group... so after an hour wait we had to share a table with a random party when we came here for a date. The food wasn’t worth the wait and the quality of the service only made it worse. You’re better off making a quick walk down the street.

Restaurant is really good, has a good feel. I personally wouldn’t recommend the deviled eggs but the burgers are fantastic. It gets really busy when there are events going on, so plan ahead for that.

Exceptional service! My friend and I sat out on the patio on a perfect evening and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Our waiter was very genuine and friendly. I ordered the Hawaii 5.0 with onion rings and my friend got the Black and Bleu with fries. Loved the sweet and salty of the pineapple and generously portioned burger. My only disappointment was the order of onion rings - quite blah and very little onion so lots of bland breading. My friends fries on the other hand were perfect (since I stole a few). Will definitely be back!

Solid burgers every time. Love the darker, atmosphere. Generous portions for the most part. Short Rib Burger can't be passed up. Onion rings are nicely homemade and not freezer stock from a distributor. Mac n Cheese has a nicely flavored bechamel (albeit grainey at times). Biggest issue is just the cost of it all if people don't want to split the meals or avoid drinks. Maybe a case of you get what you pay for, because it is excellent food. We'll be back.

I don't write reviews often, but this place deserves it. Tots? Amazing (though my arteries may beg to differ). Mac and cheese? Potentially the best I've ever had. Burger was great. Atmosphere was nice. The only hangups: - A bit pricey, though I get why - So. much. food. With a shared app and entrees, we were both barely able to eat 1/3 of our portions. Would have been equally happy with the same great food but less of it at a slightly lower price.

Get there early if you don't want to wait. This is our favorite restaurant. Whenever my daughter is home from college this is where she asks to go. The Mac and cheese is the best, as is their Taco Cobb Salad. My son loves the tator tots and my husband tries a different burger every time we go.

The burger was very good as was the shake. Only negative was it's a bit loud but had a good crowd at the time. Convenient to other shops and parking.

I had heard a lot about this place and finally got around to trying it. Looked at the website and menu and found their info about call ahead seating a little off putting. We did call ahead and we’re given the approximate wait time. We checked in at arrival and the front desk staff was less than personable. No greeting just going through the motions. Same when the table was ready. Our server, Hannah, was friendly and attentive though. My issue with the burger, I ordered the Local, was that the kitchen did not lest the burger rest before placing on the bun. This allowed for the raw juices to seep into the bottom half of the bun. And In taking be first bite, of what was to be a medium well burger, it was clear the burger was slightly under cooked. I had to let the burger sit a bit allowing for the patty to actually rest and “finish cooking” to the desired medium well. That ruined the experience for me. The place has a cool vibe though and the location is perfect for a night out so it’s possible I could find my way back here but I would not make a point to do so.

Always busy, prepare to wait 30+ on a Friday/Saturday night! Lively bar/restaurant with good local craft selections. Only had the 4 pepper burger (spicy even for my high tolerance) and onion rings. Delicious, standard $14/$16 burger meals as most of these burger joint charge but definitely tasted better than say a brauer house IMO. Will be back

Use to be a 5 star burger for sure. The burger patty itself is first quality and grilled perfectly each time I have gone to Burger Local. The new menu took away my favorite 3 burgers! I loved the pimento cheese and Hawaiian burgers but PLEASE bring back the breakfast/hangover burger. The new diner burger is extremely disappointing compared to the old breakfast burger with a full hash brown and maple syrup on top. They replaced the hash brown with some pickles and the maple syrup with a dill aioli. Bad decision! Bring it back!!!

I’ve eaten at Burger Loca twice now. Both times, I’ve had good, friendly service. The tots with braised beef were great. My burger was cooked medium rare and had good flavor. The bun didn’t overpower the burger (I opted for a regular bun instead of a pretzel bun). The beer selection was great as well!

The food woukd have been seasoned good, if the would have stopped with the salt. There was so much salt that mh mouth burned. The veggie bean burger was mush, almost impossible to cut. For having thay salty of fries, i wasnt given refills of water she didnt even bring out our food a runner did. It was gross the the napkins were kept on the ground behind hostess station by wet floor sign. For a resturant in Geneva highly dissappointed

Loud, expensive, food is adequate. You cant hear the person next you. Theres too many TV's, loud speakers. I definitely make better quality food at home. Seriously, $11-15 for a NOTHING BURGER. My family and I will never dine there again. The atmosphere and food are not worth the time or money.

Great spot with big portions and many craft beers to choose from. Maybe a bit noisy and many of the tables are communal which means this probably isn't the spot to pick for that gentle conversation you've been meaning to have with your partner. I like it for a game or a couple with the fellas.

Love this place. Great first time experience. Food was excellent, totally different and flavor was amazing. Nick our server was delightful always anticipating our needs, helpful and friendly. Place was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

This place has a nice atmosphere an up scale burger joint. The prices are a little high but the food is good quality. Burgers range from $10-$14. This is a busy place on the weekend even for lunch, by noon there is a small wait to be seated. I was not personally crazy about the food. I had a bbq burger and we ordered a kids mac and cheese for my daughter. The burger was large and well presented. It need more bbq sauce and the bottom of my bun was burnt. The onion rings on my burger tasted a bit like old oil that they were made in. The mac and cheese was ok, to me it the texture was a bit grainy like to much flower was used, it has a smoky taste to it that my daughter didn't like much. This place isn't bad but there are other places I would rather eat at.
