REVIEWS OF The Allis Chicago IN Illinois

Hunter McAnallen

Worst place you will ever eat. After having a great night at the bar with a lady from out of town we were told to “chill out” after laughing. I would not go to this place if I was paid a million dollars. STAY AWAY.

Scott Chaplin

Fantastic drinks and food. The service was awesome. Start with the Whistle Pig Manhattan, then the Tuna Cruddo, then everything else is fabulous. I had the salmon and the steak were all excellent

Dariusz Jakubowski

Great little place to get brunch in the West Loop. Good mimosas, pretty tasty breakfast. Note: they do _not_ appear to have Kraft American cheese to put in their eggs. While delicious, the upscale white cheddar just didn't feel the same as disgusting yellow "cheese" and honestly it was a small tragedy.

Eda Xian

Absolutely stunning ambiance and interior decor. Their dining space and lobby are both the most beautiful West Loop has to offer. Their warm coconut pudding is one of my favorite desserts! Must try!

Rebeca Perrone

Afternoon tea was a fun way to celebrate a friend's birthday. We ordered 2 towers for a table of 5. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious but on the small side so we ordered additional plates to share. The tea flavors were delicious as well. Service was attentive and gave good recommendations for drinks. Overall it's a great place for a light brunch and fun tea service.

Nick Hansen

Great atmosphere and desserts

Alejandro Hornik

Good food, nice place, very friendly staff

Amy Xie

Love their tea collection

Xi Liu

We had a brunch reservation, but waited 30 min to be seated when half of the floor is empty. No water or anyone checking if we are ready to order for another 15 min. Food is ok, but not worth the lack of service.

Good food

Great place! It’s part of the Soho hotel and you do not need a membership to eat here. We went on TUESDAY jazz night (1/2 price bottles of wine and live jazz from 6-9pm). I had the green salad (with poppyseed dressing) and the butternut squash as my main which was a very interesting dish. It it came with a quinoa sort of Mediterranean pasta carved out in the butternut squash holes. My friends had the cheese appetizer, the lentil soup and the other salads. Great choice. After dinner we moved to the couches and chatted while the rest of the jazz show went on. The only thing that was odd was that even though we had the same server the whole time she made us each write down what we had to spit the bill.

Food and service

Marc Smith

Really nice place food was good

Sam Goldman

Interesting cocktails, elaborate menu and good vibes.

T B

Always delicious—brunch, tea, dinner, it’s always good. Limited menu but highly recommend.

CHAR Y

The star of the afternoon tea set was definitely the tea! The tea was fragrant and perfect with the finger sandwiches and baked goods. The sandwiches were a little dry and the baked goods ok. But the service was impeccable, and ambience sophisticated. Metered street parking available, reservation recommended.

Bryant Kollie

Drinks are great! Brought my friend and she absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is "chandelier-y"

Joe Scanlan

Hip relaxed bar with excellent drink options.

Allison Garcia

The Allis is a part of the Soho House hotel and continuing in the tradition of Soho houses globally, the Allis' decor is unique and captivating. The upscale yet relaxed decor is complimented by their reasonable priced brunch menu. We ordered lattes, avocado toast, and granola. The coffees were excellent, the granola was refreshing, and the avocado toast was as expected. The service here was really superb. Shout out to their attentive and charming wait staff, who really elevate the experience. Will be back for more!

Hind KH

I like their furniture and atmosphere the most ,but food not that much they don’t have plenty of choices .

Matthew Hunter

Super cool ambiance! Up scale chic decor! The avocado toast was perfectly flavored and more than enough food the egg was cooked perfect and had a lot of avocado on it. The French toast was super fluffy and tasted really good. The breakfast potatoes were fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was great and we were seated very quickly. Food came out very fast!

Tim Arden

Great spot to get a coffee and work or read. Very comfortable setting. I had a latte and omelette with sourdough toast. Food was excellent.

Angelo C

Tatiana is what I found most beautiful about your place. Dream big kid.

Jacob Ong

Great service and interior deco. Occasionally there's a line. Decent brunch but good tea. I come here for tea a lot.

Theodore Fre

Went there with my grandma for dinner a week before Christmas. The food and music were amazing and loved the decorations for the holidays.

Carmel Bogle

Such a cute place, I wish I lived closer so I could visit. High tea is amazing, wide tea selection. Great food and drink options as well. Staff wonderful and decor cute and unique.

Ana Tapia

Went there for brunch! The food is incredible! We ordered the Eggs Benedict, Avo Toast, French Toast and the Allis All day Breakfast, as well as pastries and drinks! The service is really good, and the place has a great atmosphere!

Rekha V

Stopped by for afternoon tea and it was very good. The service was great and the teas and pastries/sandwiches were tasty. My only complaint was that there were so many more sweet than savory snacks with the tea and I would've preferred a higher ratio of savory to sweet. But thats comparable to other places that do afternoon tea. The place is beautiful, and I saw several people doing some work while I was there and so I'm looking forward to going back to do that.

Ellie Hwang

Worst service ever received. Super disappointed. Beautiful place and subpar food though. Yeogee eenjong cha byeol gae jjeol uh yo^^

Scout wolfe

Food and cocktails are divine. Service needs to better for the cost of food.

Winicius Feitosa

Fancy environment with nice couch to seat, service is a bit formal by not makes you uncomfortable. Pastries is really good and high-end ingredients! Opens early and close late, which is good!! I’ve been there for breakfast!

Jean Bicknell

Coolest bar ever. Amazing drinks. Friendly atmosphere.

Casey Jepsen

Great place to have afternoon tea.

Ellie Fassoi

This place is amazing! The coffee was good but the atmosphere is really something! It's busy though, so it's better to book beforehand!

Lindsay Doyle

Love this neighborhood gem! The owner, Andrew, is incredibly nice, and the food is fabulous. Try the almond French toast and the breakfast little. Wash it down with a bitter-sweet mocha.

Adrian W

This restaurant has a really chill yet elegant vibe. I ordered the Allis All Day Breakfast and was not at all disappointed. The freshness of the food was evident and the staff members were friendly and inviting. I was surprised that the wait wasn't long, there is plenty of table and bar seating. Bring a friend and an appetite, this place is phenomenal.

Andrez Perez

If you ever want a cool place with fancy teas and a fun atmosphere, I highly suggest this place. Granted it isn't inexpensive and I've never been to a place like this before so it's still all new to me. I was expecting the $40 tea deal to not have enough food once it came but I ended up leaving stuffed.

Deeb Dweik

Awesome decor and great environment. Place is very open. Great menu

Ektaa Bhatia

I had been waiting to get afternoon tea here for a while but was really disappointed. Tea options are limited but the tea was fine. And it was definitely sugar overload with the pastries that were served. I wish they would balance out the sweets with more finger sandwiches. We ordered the vegetarian ones which included a cucumber and an egg salad- both were good. And the scones were amazing. But besides that, everything was just kind of mediocre and service was not very attentive either. Expected way better at $40/per person.

Monika A

One if my favorite brunch and cocktail places! Located in the hotel, the decor and vibe is great and chill. Food is spectacular and delicious and the cocktail concoctions amazing.

Maria Fernanda Wetzel

Where to begin…from the moment you step in at The Soho hotel, you will start your experience. The ambiance is eclectic and cozy at the same time. Afternoon tea is delicious, with the variety of sweets and finger sandwiches, and the assortment of teas, you will have an unforgettable experience. It's great to do it with your friends, small or large groups. If afternoon tea is not your thing, the Allis also offers a delicious menu, especially their beet and cauliflower salads, and the best for me, the avocado toast. I love bringing my friends here because I always know I will have a good time.

Holly Paparounis

The food and cocktails are always fabulous, but the slow, slow service takes what should be a five star experience to a 3. At brunch, our server came by to tell us she was going on "break" after we ordred, and that her manager would be taking care of us. What restaurant gives "breaks" during the beginning of peak brunch time?!? Never heard of this in my life. Everything was downhill from here. Tables around us waited 20-25 min for coffee and lattes. Unacceptable.

Lizzy Fay LLC

The Allis is the first and second floor of SoHo House. You don't have to be a member to go here. It's a great spot to work too. Find a cozy seat, open your laptop, order a coffee and get to work. Unlike Starbucks, a waitress will come by with free coffee refills too. You can order lunch and stay all day if you want. Nice bar for cocktails too.

Suheda Eroglu

So cool place and everything is really delicious! But it’s always full and especially on weekends there’s approximately 2 hours of waiting. So make sure you have a reservation before you go!

tamara balazsovits

I honestly had a great time all the way until the end. Upon arrival I introduced myself to the manager and let him know I would be leaving a review. Food was great, cocktails were delicious and the ambiance was good. I love that you have the option of sitting at either a table or couches the couches are set up so you can easily get work done and some have plugs built right into it. To finish off the night I asked our server to split the bill and she told us to do it ourselves!!!! She made us write it down ourselves on the back of our receipt for her. She was really rude about it. While she was reluctantly printing out our seperayed bills we could see her talking badly about us to other staff, she carried on to the point that my friend got upset and walked up to her to tell her to stop talking about us and to just give us our bill so we could be done with it.

Ashraf Al-Ahmed

Good for BF

Enrique Ocon

I went for their brunch menu and ordered their smoked salmon bagel, my friends ordered the hamburger and the French toast. Aesthetically it’s beautiful and the service is great but... the food is about average with an above average price. Would I go again? Probably but maybe just to sit for some coffee.

Patti Smith

We had a group of 11 people there just over a week ago to celebrate my daughter's engagement and birthday. We had the most wonderful evening, when I've repeated the story of the evening to my friends I've used the word "magical" every time. The facility was beautiful. The staff was friendly, helpful and really professional. The food was delicious. A perfect evening in a perfect location❤

Caitlin Fitzharris

Perfect place to have a meeting - coffee or wine!

Carolyn

Stellar customer service! One of the managers was waiting our table and he was so attentive and on top of everything. The food and drinks were wonderful as well!

Natasha Conley

I've done a couple afternoon teas in the city. This is one of the cheapest, but the tea and food were just as good.

Cody Sabo

Food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! Highly recommend.

miguel chang

Every time I come to this restaurantr it never disappoints me! The attention, service and food is far superior to what I can express in this message! Come, ask, taste and enjoy! A great way to do something simple in exquisite !!

Liberty Jones

Just nice.

Adam Wroblewski

I love the Allis and always have a great meal here with exceptional service and a fantastic people watching atmosphere. New Years Day equals fresh starts, fresh drinks and fresh foods; the Allis consistently delivers.

David Soetaert

Great thanksgiving dinner on a super busy night.

Goh Chin

Food good, comfortable interior of design and seating, feel like eating @ Home. Great place to go.

marcus proctor

Charming environment with tasty dishes

Geraldine Pope

Very nice place. Cozy farm de decoration. Coffee very fresh. Usually served in a beautiful glass mug, but today why did you make cappuccino in a plastic glass, I don't know. Quickly service.

Troy Manitakos

Overpriced. Boring. But yes it is fancy and has cool decor! My $20 Bloody which came in a highball glass with 2 olives was average at best.

Sara Swinehart

Service was ok, but the Afternoon tea service overall was incredibly underwhelming. I love Rare Tea Cellar teas, but the food was subpar (frozen macaron, yuck) and the herbal tea was not served with any sugar or milk. The tea was steeped in too hot of water for the herbal blend I ordered. My experience was not what I expected from The Allis. Totally overpriced and do not recommend tea service here.

Ellyn Kearney

Great food and drinks

Hannah Milligan

Great for brunch ! Lovely location and Instagram worthy. Use OpenTable to secure reservations.

Viv Ram

Relaxed cocktail bar that offers a select classical menu. The ambiance within the venue is really what makes it, with a rustic themed setting that is dimly lit and spacious. I ordered a Shepherd’s pie which I would highly recommend and a very well put together old fashion.

Hanin Qureshi

Beautiful ambiance. Excellent food and service. Loved the vibe and will definitely come here to study

Khalid Nabina

You must try the French toast

Alyssa Mogul

mediocre at best

Oxana Pushmina

This place is a hidden gem. Terrific customer service. Each time I book a party there, the stuff is top-notch. Knowledgeable, polite and will do everything for you to feel great about the place. Thank you the Allis House!

Victor Truong

Atmosphere is quiet and seats are spaced far enough to be have an intimate evening. Food was really good. I'd recommend it if you want to have a nice dinner and conversation with someone.

Stewart G

Awesome drinks and service

SAITAH ALAJMI

Expensive, food is not delicious, we were seated on an awkward tiny couch so we asked to be moved to another table. The waitress was not happy ! She made sure to show us she doesn’t want to take care of our table. Not coming back!

Laura Herrmann

Great food at a reasonable price but the service can be slow depending on your waiter/waitress. Great for an afternoon of tea or happy hour and comfy chairs so you can sit happily for hours!

Patrick Chiesa

You can come in for the caffeine to wake you up or just sit there and listen to the techno music and let it wake you up.

Alexa Tecson

Went to The Allis for a weekend brunch. It's inside the Soho House. It surprisingly was not packed as I had expected on a Saturday. The restaurant is pretty big. The whole feel of the place was really relaxing and the decor was trendy. Some seating areas are tables while others are really nice, loungy sofas/seats. The service is great. And the food was really good! Prices not bad and the presentation is really nice. I would definitely go back to try their afternoon tea.

Kirstin McGinnis

The best dining experience!!!! Food was fantastic, ambiance was amazing. Music makes you want to stay and enjoy the environment. Drinks are well crafted, grass fed burger was super duper exceptional -from a real burger lover!!! Please visit and you will come back. Amazing servers, Kelly, Ryan, Van, Lauren and manager Brian. We will be back.

Traci Tessone

Such a pretty space! The food is so yummy and staff was fantastic!

Ashley

I came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Beautiful space, but not the best customer service.

Jacqueline Van Cleave

Gluten Free Review: went to Sunday brunch here & it was great! They did not have a specific gluten free menu, but the staff was very knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free and what could not. They had gluten free bread, so almost any entree on the menu could be adjusted to be gluten free. I ended up going with the gluten free eggs Florentine. My entire party & I all enjoyed our food. I would definitely come back here for brunch again. Note: I am not celiac and do not have issues with cross contamination. If you are celiac please speak with the server before ordering.

Liz Jasper

I've been to The Allis several times now and I always receive great service and food. The ambiance makes it the perfect place to get some work done, for casual work meetings, coffee/tea dates, and weekend brunch with friends. And, if you're like me and love tea, it's a good place for a cuppa. Definitely stop in for a morning or afternoon tea! The cozy atmosphere and vintage decor make it a great place to start the day. I like to stop here occasionally on my way into work in the mornings. Their Eggs Royale is delicious!

Yolanda Escutia Magpantay

Love the cocktails at The Allis! This place is dripping in art deco decadence! During the day, it is great for coffee, tea, and pastries; in the evening, the vintage chic vibe makes perfect for a night of inebriated reveling.

Andrew Yoo

Visited the Allis with my girls for our monthly soirée. Tammy was 45 mins late so we had to wait for her before we ordered but our server was super nice. I would go back just to see the lady server again. I got the coconut pudding and it was surprisingly filling and tasty. 10/10. Would def recommend.

Gustavo Cardona

Food was alright, not bad at all for afternoon tea.

Heather

The place was beautiful, and ambiance was perfect for what we were looking for. Unfortunately, we saw our waitress three times total! She got our drink order, came back with our drinks, took our dinner order, and we waited about 45 minutes before she came back. When she did come back the final/third time, she came back to clarify our dinner order that we placed 45 minutes before that. Our food came out twenty minutes after that. It was ok. No one ever came back to check on us. We were hoping to order coffee and dessert, but were sick of waiting. After about twenty minutes after dinner, we called someone over to ask what happened to our waitress. We didn't get a clear answer, but that man was happy to help us. We decided against dessert since we waited so long, and just got our check. The place was so beautiful, but the service was non-existent. I don't know why our waitress abandoned us?!? We really liked her, she just never came back.

Anthony Petiot

Classy and chill place, love it!

Yeon Woo Kim

First time here, and the atmosphere of the place was quite nice. There weren't too many people eating like we did, so I assume it is a great place to have quiet semi-private meetings or to get your work done.

Tu N

Setting and ambience was nice. Interesting variety of seating styles. Food was ok. Great place to take someone special.

Natasha Daves

Super chic spot for brunch or drinks (or both!) My favorite item on the menu is the French toast with creme fraiche!

Mark Day

Went in around 7 and were seated within 5 minutes. Took waiter roughly 10min to come get our drink order. We then waited 25min before we got up and left never having received our drinks. For the record we ordered a beer and a glass of champagne...

Aisha Ahmad

Beautifully decorated restaurant. A+ for ambiance. Too bad the food is bland and unimaginative. Hope they bring the standard of food up to match the decor. Came once for dinner and once for weekend brunch. Not impressed. However, if you are only going there for coffee and dessert, you won't be disapointed.

Clara Baggett

Beautiful, romantic, classy atmosphere.

Carol McGury

Excellent food and service--wonderful and interesting atmosphere.

Gary Rivera

I like coming here with a group of friends. Drinks are average price for the area but they have a decent whiskey selection. Tables are hard to get so you have to be a hawk to grab one. The bar is small so you might spend some time waiting. They have great cocktails and I have even caught them once when they did a Pinky Blinders themed night. Overall I enjoy going there and will be back.

Ethan Wade

Super cute spot in the lobby of Soho House Chicago for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or cocktails. There's always an eclectic bunch of folks and the friendly staff contribute to the charming atmosphere. Be sure to try one of the almond croissants at breakfast, they're second to none.

lorraine hickish

Amazing interior design, great service and fab food!

Antonio Chico

Great place, delicious food and cold drinks, what else could you ask for.

Akruti Patel

Unique concept and really good food

Mark Lancaster

Fantastic breakfast spot in the West Loop. Not pricey, not too busy. Good mid-century modern feel and really quick service.

Josh Helminski

I thought the atmosphere was tied together very nicely and everything we ordered was tasty.

Arian Saeedfar

This place is amazing. The food is great and it is well decorated. I've tried the French Toast and egg benedictine and they were fantastic. It's one of the best places to get breakfast in Chicago.

Skylar Y

Cozy place for some tea and dessert.

Daniel DeLong

An excellent spot to work solo or to enjoy with a friend in town!

Chris J

Well the ramen place was an hour wait and I thought I was looking for a place chicken shop when I entered the main door. I accidentally went to the left and up and ended up in the Allis upstairs dining area. I decided to go with it and had the beef short ribs with mashed potatoes and boy was it a good choice. Not to mention their happy hour which I got the dry martini with too shelf greygoose. Really enjoyed the building the setup and the vibe that I got from up there. It was a classy place.

Shoua Vang

The food was good but service was nothing to write home about. We waited 10,000 years before someone took our order.

Luke Cho

Beautiful interior aesthetics and the space includes the bar and dining tables as well as their lounge with sofas and coffee tables. The space is shared with their hotel's check in area so it may be a little confusing figuring out how the seating works but guests are free to sit anywhere they'd like upon arrival.

Mark Diny

The atmosphere is like no else, delicious coffee and food, and excellent service all around.

Evelyn Flores-Rocha

Went for afternoon tea during a weekend trip to Chicago -- I love tea time and have gone to High Tea at the Rtiz in London, some others down here in Texas, some more abroad I can't remember-- so I'm not sure if maybe my expectations were too high. The interior is beautiful and worth a visit by itself, but the food was a disappointment. We were starving so we ordered some hard boiled eggs and other goodies. The eggs came out half-boiled and room-temperature, crusty cold. The finger sandwiches from the tea were delicious but had clearly been left out (the bread was staling and a little hard at the edges) the scones were cold and not fresh. We didn't finish the whole tower. THE GOODS: we did the champagne tea and the prosecco was amazing. They forgot to give us the tea for afternoon tea (lol) so when we finally got that, it was really good too. The plate and stemware were stunning and the lighting really made everything beautiful. Overall an "ok" experience, still really enjoyable. This is definitely AFTERNOON tea and NOT "high tea". This was a lot more casual than high tea.

Marisol aleman

All in all the place is great...amazing decor and ambiance. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is simply because as I was having afternoon tea...(which was probably one of the best I've had!) I chewed down on a piece of glass and cut my gums. I told the manager and he was extremely apologetic and went into action right away. (I understand things like this happen when working in a kitchen...glass breaks and goes everywhere no matter how hard you tr th to clean it up.) But the restaurant did every thing to make it right including taking care of our bill. Without that set back I would've definitely rated the allis 4-5 stars and would still like to return to try the other amazing things on the menu.

Shannon Russell

I love the Allis! It is decorated beautifully and I've never had a hard time getting a table right away. I've only gone for cocktails so havent tried the food. The cocktails are all great; every single one sounded good to me so it was hard to pick! They also had a seasonal cocktail menu, which for summer featured a variety of spritzes.

ashkan mizani

Great atmosphere and lovely pastry dishes ;) always a good place to chill and have some drinks. They have tea time from 3:00pm to 5:30 which is my favorite! Delicious sweets and great teas.

Esther

We were there for the Saturday morning brunch. Menu choices are perfect and the food was fantastic. I've never seen Avacado Toast with that much avacado on it! Very generous portion sizes. Great atmosphere too. Would definately go back!

Andrew Pototschnik

I had a great time at the Allis.

Kameron VanWoerkom

The restaurant is cute, but the atmosphere was very snooty and pretentious - starting with the unmarked podium offset from the entrance which made it a little embarrassing to bumble around until we could find the right person who could help us get seated. Service was poor and we found a few of the dishes and utensils to be dirty. However, the food was good which we were thankful for after enduring the rest of our experience. I enjoyed an egg sandwich with an almond croissant, and my friends shared a tower.

HAMID ALANSARY

Great location for breakfast or lunch

Evan Siegel

Took my girlfriend here for valentine’s Day. Awesome place!! The atmosphere is great. Service is very good! Had the sausage pizza and it was very good! We will be back!

R. Tink

Really cute place. The service was excellent. The only problem we had is that we wanted the afternoon tea for lunch nd we couldn't get it. But we still got a nice tea. With only one pot of tea you have enough for 2 people. Breakfast es excellent.

Ali Bassir

Great place for socializing and mingle. Beautiful setting. Tasty coffee and food.

Mme. Suzanne Giacotto

Delightful food, tuna appetizer yummmmm! Excellent service and perfect ambiance for a couples night out.

Rachel Mooreland

Once you step inside The Allis, it’s going to be tough to convince yourself to leave after your meal. Beautiful decor, cozy seating and their darling decorated dishes compliment their fresh and tasty menu! I highly recommend the French Toast- it’s a favorite amongst me and my friends! This is the perfect spot for brunch with your girlfriends, or to catch up with a friend over a cocktail.

P K

Randomly popped in and very surprised on decor. Food was just as amazing

Bethany Dominik

Wonderful Mother’s Day dinner with party of 7. Drinks and food were absolutely delicious. We loved relaxing on the couches between courses- what a delightful evening.

Tiffany Tank

I love everything about The Allis. Great vibe, phenomenal food... a chill escape in the west loop.

Lily C.

Came here for a bachelorette party and ordered the afternoon tea set. The Mallorca Melon tea was very flavorful and unique; I enjoyed it. The sandwiches were delicious, but the pastries were a bit too sweet, so sweet that it gets a bit overwhelming after you eat about two pastries. There were also quite a bit of fruit flies (counted at least 5 at my end of the table) hounding our food the whole time, so it was annoying having to continuously swat them away. Made me wonder what the situation is like in the kitchen. However, the atmosphere is beautiful and the servers are very attentive and friendly. Overall, a good experience.

Rebecca Greene

service is always nice even when they have a full house. the service was very welcoming and sociable. this place has an awesome atmosphere. makes me feel like i am back in sacramento.

Kathy Puckett

Waitress was outstanding. Daughter had best tea ever! Entrees were excellent! Definitely would enjoy again soon!

Murat Duru

Great staff and atmosphere. Good food and good prices.

Тамара Онофрийчук

Good bar, average food, no special atmosphere, just ok to spend some time with friends

Andi Mendoza

It's such a beautiful place for a relaxing breakfast. The food is great.

Мар'яна Лаганяк

Wanted to spend the Christmas Day with my people in my favorite ( in the past) place... so disappointed, service was awful, we were waiting for the menus 30 min, for our food almost 1 hour, I ordered Shakshuka eggs with spinach, in result I’ve gotten just baked eggs with spinach on the side, for what I paid $5 more. That was totally different dish. Came to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Instead of that I’ve got upset, and to be honest my perfect day was ruined, thank u The Allis team....

Rachel Hunter

My husband and I ate here for brunch this past weekend and had an amazing time. The restaurant itself is super cute and is decorated beautifully. The service was great, and the food was delicious. My husband got the eggs Benedict and said it was the best eggs Benedict he’s ever had. I had avocado toast, which I loved. We also tried the sides of roasted tomatoes and the breakfast potatoes. I highly recommend pairing the tomatoes with the avocado toast. The macchiatos and banana walnut bread were wonderful as well. Overall, this was a fabulous restaurant and we will definitely be coming back.

Judy Martinez

Great spot if you are looking to enjoy amazing cocktails! We also tried the vegan chocolate cake, it was delicious!

Stephani Becker

We just held a 50th birthday tea at the Allis. From start to finish, the team at the Allis was helpful, responsive and professional. The ambiance is beautiful in the room where the "sparkling" tea for 27 women was held. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! Erica and Stephani were particularly awesome and attentive to every detail. Thanks to the Allis for making the event go smoothly. Everyone had a great time...and we will be back!

Tonya Collins

Great service and food

Mahir Huq

Yummy food and good vibes

Kaitlin McClendon

The design of this building, and its decor are very pretty. It walks a line between industrial warehouse and glamorous mansion, and it somehow works for the space in this building. The appearance is comfortable and spacious, without being too intimidating. I note the architecture and design of The Allis, since it is apparently a common area for designers and artists alike. The atmosphere in here is busy enough to have a fair amount of background noise, but still quiet enough to hear your table company easily. It's a nice mix. That being said, I stopped here for brunch with a friend. The food itself was seasoned well, and plated nicely- I had the smoked salmon with lemon and dill, which came with a toasted bagel, house-made radish pickles, and capers. The salmon was delicious, and prepared perfectly. The only complaint I would have about the food would be the fact that the bagel was toasted a bit too long, and although still edible, it was difficult to eat when paired with a tender meat such as salmon. This aside, I definitely enjoyed the meal overall! The cappuccino was good, but I personally prefer a less acidic flavor in my coffee. Overall, still a decent cup! I recommend stopping by this place if you're looking for a nice spot to have brunch!

Gisel R

This place is super cute and offers some delicious options. I did the afternoon tea and fell in love with it. The space feels very cozy and it's beautiful. It's a little pricier but prices feel fair based on the quality of food/drinks and the atmosphere the space offers.

Luke Panasyuk

Tea is bomb. Dinner is bomb.

Richard Samaniego

Great atmosphere! The seating was very cozy and it was very laid back. It's a nice place to have lunch and relax. We had high tea for $45 per person. It was pricey but the food was good and the ambience was worth it. It was a delightful experience. We had a tea party with our three little girls. It was perfect!

Jade Kumar

Beautiful ambiance. Excellent drinks and service.

Andrea Brown

Food & atmosphere is nice. There's live entertainment on certain nights.

Thunder Cheeks

Unique environment and a interesting place to visit. Staff is kind and professional. Food was underwhelming, and average. Tea was good.

Nick Cardoza

Swanky, hip and lively. My biggest pain point here is the ability to get a drink. If you are not at a table or seated then youll wait because the bar service is really slow. Other wise the place is really nice

Elzbieta Szczudlo

Amazing atmosphere, beautiful interiors, eclectic menu. Very friendly service. I keep coming back to this inspiring place ,everything seems to be better there: simple coffee, meal or conversation. If you like to add aesthetic value to your dining you have to come!!!

Bernardo Carvalho

Beautiful place, great setting with armchairs and small tables. Great food and service and nice music playing in the background.

VH Bowling

Brunch was awesome!

321 and me

This is a very prestigious place - great for meetings, high tea, and for a pampering spa day. I met with a friend for high tea and sandwiches. The whole display they brought out was simply beautiful and the atmosphere is elegant and artsy. I recommend dressing for the occasion as you might feel a bit out of place if you go too casual. The staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful. One thing that would be nice, is if they gave an option for more sandwiches or more deserts on the tower with high tea, but everything was amazing so I'm not complaining. I hope to take friends here when they visit - they just take it a step up and I felt so taken care of.

Decent food, but tea needs more savory items (currently, there are only 3 tiny finger sandwiches) and at least one tea that is not a blend. Both Hostess and Waitstaff Service is confused and unavailable. Rather inattentive actually as we sat for over 30 mins. and I finally had to go find a waiter to just get water and give our order to someone, no one had offered us anything at all for half an hour! Similarly, I had to ask someone to get our bill since our waitress had disappeared for over an hour (she was doing back of the house work apparently.) Afternoon Tea is a bit expensive. Go for dessert not for the savory items (there are hardly any!). Nicely appointed dining room with a hip young clientele (not your typical Michigan Ave. hotel tea scene). However, we will not be back due to the poor service and almost no savory items. Needs improvement.

Omg I had a blast here for a bachelorette party

Amazing low light atmosphere and great place for high tea. The try comes with small sandwiches and some amazing bites of dessert.

Food was great. Had to wait at the host stand and wait staff seemingly disappeared for a while, which was frustrating as this was a midday lunch break and time was limited. Have had better experiences here in the past, hopefully this visit was a fluke.

We were amazed by their craft cocktailss. They were so natural and fresh and inventive. I ordered the Soho Mule (made with fresh ginger instead of ginger beer) and a green drink with gin, pineapple, ginger, and lime. Both were so delicious and refreshing. We were amazed by the quality and will definitely make it a point to come back on our next trip to chicago!

Pretty space and great mimosas! I would like to come back to for the tea service and try some menu items. Definitely a great spot for a brunch with nice ambience.

Avocado toast on point. I've been several times and always loved the food and vibe.

We headed into the city to have afternoon tea after the holidays. The food we were serve tasted like it was prepared well in advance. Our waiter was rarely available. We paid the same amount to have tea here as we would at The Drake and there is no comparison - the scones were hard and crumbly, the tea sandwiches consisted of thick slices of bread, and the desserts all tasted like the 3 year old fruitcake that gets passed around (one of the desserts WAS that fruitcake). Not worth the expense.

Lovely waiters and great food but you really have to wait for the waiters to take your order. But overall, it was a great experience ☺️

Good food, but not to many options as the typical, I did not want to order alcohol and coffee was great but no tea options. Food quality is good. We were 8 people and the made reservations which tend to be complicated for a Friday night. I enjoy having a quiet dinner with friends and no noisy music that would force me to scream.

Good vibe, slow service

Perfect lounge ambiance. Phenomenal mimosa (actually best in the city). It’s the right bottle of Prosecco, Fresh Orange Juice, English Crystal. The Allis absolutely knows how to take care of you when dining. Thank you for so many memories!

Great place to grab a few drinks and a very relaxing environment. Mature crowd and cozy ambiance. Love the lighting, decor and the open concrete concept.
