Didn't even know this Taco Bell existed, you have to zoom all the way in on Google maps to get it to pop up. I mean ALL the way in. Ordered the same thing I had just ordered two days prior and was told they don't have it, and got what was suggested to me instead. Asking for a soft taco is 20 cents more than a crunchy, and these baked chicken things are Teeny. They layout is weird, everyone piles up in front of the drink station to wait for their orders and although there isn't a line, there's a wait. How many employees do you need to make a taco? All of them, I guess bc there isn't anyone around to wipe down the tables. Employees are friendly though, and my food was hot.

There's no point in mobile ordering from this location - except to snag promotional coupons. I set the pick up for 6:45pm. My food was ready at 7:10. Really inexcusable. The manager was horrible. I realize they were short on staff and training, but she initially refused to give me the free Pepsi Zero Sugar from the mobile app. What a joke. You make me wait 25 minutes for two bean and cheese burritos - and then you don't honor the promotion? Sorry, no. The 2 stars are for the food being hot and prepared properly to order.

This business has no bathroom for customers, but they serve beer. That's a bad equation. The food was what you'd expect. The restaurant was surprisingly clean. The staff is "there". If you want something to go, this is a good option.

Consistently great customer service! The black male manager from the Wabash and Lake location can learn some things from the manager Tammy at this location. She's an absolute delight! My last visit, one person was just awful but I will not go into detail because that was a fluke. Maybe she was new. Again, wonderful service. Also, clean restroom.

It's mid-afternoon and your hungry and you want the joy of cooking your mouth with tasty psuedo Mexican fast food but are tired of not being able to have a tasty adult beverage? If so this is the place for you. The menu is standard Bell (meat and cheese in any shape you can fit in your mouth and some you can't). But in addition to tasty Supremes and Bel Grande's you can get some fine local beers and mixed drinks. The downside, the place is a little small which means it takes a little longer to get your food. Plus you can see them make your food which isn't always what you want when buying fast food. So make a run for the border with your designated driver.

Nothing special about this "cantina." It's actually slower than a drive thru despite not dealing with one. I (used to) do deliveries for them. All of the deliveries boys talk smack about this McWretched restaurant on a nice block.

It was fun to be able to try different things but that was the only good thing about this location. It was way too small and crowded and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. Also, they do not have public bathrooms. They advertise they are a cantina and have alcohol on the menu but they do not have their liquor liscense yet.

I downloaded the app and went with co workers. The app said 3 - 5... 15 min later the food was done. Everyone looked confused!! I probably would have rated higher if I didn't have an online order and if my order was made correctly...lol I had a Mexican pizza and one side was completely empty... just shell. But hey... its taco bell, what did I expect!?

I just had a bad experience here at this location. The staff is not friendly. I asked them to make my Order again since they got it wrong and I received attitude on top of him making it even worse. I’ve never had this bad of a service. They really need to replace their employees. I won’t be coming back here. Look at the Mexican pizza I received. I didn’t want him to spit in my food if I asked him to remake for the third time so I just threw this in the garbage.

I was SO EXCITED when I found out there was going to be a location just a couple blocks away from me. Especially cause there's not that many locations in general in the city and neighborhood. But visiting them since they first opened, has been a hit or miss. So you take a risk. Cleanliness can be a hit or miss as well. But considering their location being directly across the street from one of the biggest Universities in Chicago, I can understand them maybe being a bit behind. The location is tiny, and usually pretty busy. I will keep going back, (IT'S TACO BELL!), so hopefully they start stepping up their game or finding better employee's, or employing more employee's.

Spacious enough to fit 80 people. Located close enough to walk to after an afternoon of shopping or catching a matinee. The glass layout let's you clearly see who and how your food is prepared.

This is the slowest taco Bell I have ever been to. There was literally no one in the restaurant and 3 tacos and 2 quesadillas took 20 minutes. This doesn't seem like a long time but for a taco Bell that is supposed to be a fast food joint, that is a long time. Although the food tasted great, I will will not be going to this taco Bell ever again because of the wait time to make some simple food.

This is a Taco Bell. There's not much special about a cantina. The menu is basically the same. The food is still Taco Bell food. If you love it at another Taco Bell, you'll like it here; if Taco Bell doesn't agree with you else where, don't expect a miracle here. The "open kitchen" is cool, but the ploy is unnecessary. You can stand at the window to watch your food being made, but the view is limited by the equipment and food containers. The charging high table is nice to get a little more power while eating. Bring your own cord. Sadly, it's understaffed and only had two people working when at least three should have been assigned. Also the Kiosks and cash registers went down and there was a ten minute wait for the system to reboot (hopefully not a trend.) The dining area is relatively clean. The design scheme is darker so it's a bit harder to see mess,. There were stomped sauce packets in some areas but understaffing means no one to clean up. Bathrooms were "buzz in" and only one toilet per room (men's and women's only.) They were messy and needed to be cleaned an have the garbages emptied. They needed more staff. Simple fix.

We walked in 15 min prior to closing on an early Wednesday morning. Instead of receiving us with an attitude because they had already been cleaning up, they welcomed us with good enthusiasm and were very friendly. They took or order and prepped the food without any problem. Made conversation with us and were awesome. We had just come home from the airport and they were the only ones open. We felt bad but it was a great experience.

Yeah it’s Taco Bell.. but the service is terrible. This place was massively under prepared for its opening. Within the first week the ice machine was down, they were out of their most popular drink, a Taco Bell exclusive, (Mountain Dew Baja blast) and out of hash browns for breakfast . This morning, waited 5 minutes to be helped, with no line...cashier just staring while one person doing everything says “be right with you”. Also, ordered an ice coffee off the menu and at first she tells me “we don’t have ice coffee”. Then, she changes her story to “well we have it, but it’s a real process to make it”. The nerve of these employees.

It does not have a public bathroom, so that was the bummer. Also they mess up orders constantly, so if you're vegan and you get some pork up in your taco, you're blessed. But nevertheless the quality of tacos and quesadillas was pretty good, was satisfied with the quality.

The cashier Nicholas W. was very rude. He seemed very upset. After taking my order I decided to take a flyer "tell us about your visit". I asked was his name Nicholas looking at the receipt he stated very aggressively i'm Nick..I said okay. I'm sure he don't like his job. Customer service was horrible he should not be in the front lines at the register interacting with people. Its a bad look for Taco Bell.

We ordered 6 supreme soft tacos and received all standard soft tacos without the sour cream and tomato. The chalupa shells were stale and crunchy hard, not soft like they should be. The baja blast syrup was empty and there's not a napkin in sight. Very poor service. Visiting from out of town, glad I wont have to worry about coming back here.

This place is pretty compact and maybe not always the best kept, but the location is very convenient for people in the area. I haven't been to other taco bells in Chicago yet, and as such, cannot compare the prices of the "value menu". The value menu prices are probably twice as much as they are in other taco bells I have been to, making the 5 dollar boxes a much better deal in comparison than the usual dollar menu items

The critically acclaimed Toasted Cheddar Chalupa has been out of stock for a week at this location. I have tried taking this to Twitter to resolve this grievance with no success. False advertising, as the app and ordering screen taunts me with that toasted cheddar goodness every time I check.

Asked for #6 (chicken chaloopas) order was not repeated back. After paying I noticed that I was charged for nacho bell grande. I do not eat ground meat. I let the cashier know before they started preparing the order. She let the kitchen know. She was very friendly also. No adjustments were made to my order and I was not charged the difference. I watched them proceed to make the nachos anyway which I was not given. I was given my "correct" order which was not correct. When I got back to my office I realized that I was given ground beef instead of chicken. This was not ok. I had to give my lunch away and didn't have time to get food elsewhere.

My quesadilla wasn't melted, which kind of ruins the point of a quesadilla. Other than that it was pretty on par for a Taco Bell. Don't go in expecting magic to happen, you still have the same workers who don't care about your food and the same 5 ingredients mixed into different formats. The Cantina has booze though so that's cool I suppose.

Horrible Taco Bell. The staff welcomed every customer with “30 minute wait”. I’ve worked in a Taco Bell. There isn’t a drive thru here and a total of 4 customers walked in after me over the course of 20 minutes. They got orders out every10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. They need to hire new staff immediately, the people don’t know how to run a fast food business. A Taco Bell order takes about 1-5 minutes to complete. Here I am sitting for 30 minutes and counting on two meals. Looking at the order board right now, there’s 7 orders , small orders that have been up for the part 30 minutes, no progress . I see three workers dancing around, sweeping, not making orders. Y’all are losing profit. These workers are purposely slowing your business down because they don’t want to work. Hope the owner sees this.

Always slow and refuse to read delivery driver's phone for order accuracy. Quite rude. You know you should be reading the phone yourself to ensure accuracy since we are there on behalf of a customer. One order I had was very big and I had to prove to them it was detailed and long before they would do their job. Terrible service

Waited over 40 mins for a simple crunch wrap and taco combo. Times have always been long at this Taco Bell but this is rediculous. Only two employees in the entire store and the manager would rather sweep the lobby while it's full of customers instead of helping his only employee fill the long line of orders. The night shift team needs a revamp or if anything a new manager. Don't go here after 9pm unless you feel like waiting forever for a mediocre taco. Worst Taco Bell service I've ever received.

Every once in a while, I just have to have a Mexican pizza or burrito or soft taco from Taco Bell. Brings back my after drinking days, when Taco Bell had the perfect munchies. It still satisfies my need for Mexican fast food, and the servers are really helpful. I watched them serve a blind man, and they were tremendous. Very fast and quite good tacos. You have vegetarian tacos and you can ask to have it in lettuce instead

Standard Taco Bell + alcohol. Great digital ordering kiosks, but make sure to ask for your drink at the counter! Very clean with mostly friendly staff- they get really frustrated if you don't immediately collect your order when they call your name, though. Both times I've been delayed- once I just got my foot stuck in my chair (haha) and once I was getting my drink, and both employees shouted my name again, clearly in frustration. I get it, but it had been like five seconds, and it wasn't crowded either time.

Excellent service and food! Love the set up of this Cantina location, the food is prepared in front of you and they also serve alcoholic beverages. This is definitely going to be my new go to place when I am in the south loop!!

This Taco Bell is a really great high water mark for the cool, chill cyberpunk future we almost had. I will think fondly on the great customer service and excellent food when the machines rise up to subjugate mankind. My only hope is that once I am plugged into the hive mind as a flesh battery that I can get crunchwraps in the matrix as good as they make them here.

Best taco bell I've ever been to; they have beer and liquor! Service was remarkable, and given the limited taco bell menu - it's a blessing on humanity. When you need a quesadilla and revolution pills, they are there for you when you need it!
