This Restaurant is classified in the category of Chicken restaurant.
Ordered the fried chicken for delivery. Got the house hot sauce and a side of mashed potatoes and slaw. Skin was crispy and well seasoned and the meat was juicy. Really great fried chicken. Definitely worth the effort.
Best fried seitan and I’ve been dreaming of the cornbread for a week. I also highly recommend the quinoa pasta and nachos. Just order everything
Seems legit
Great service and food was really good
Absolutely amazing chicken, and amazing service!
The cocktails were excellent. However, I did get an upset stomach from the food. That happens with me an fried foods. Something with the oil.
I come here on Mondays for "Industry night". Great service, solid seasonal cocktails and the Boar Bolognese! This spot can turn into a date night. And a heads up drinkers, people do bring their kids here at all times of the day/night.
Crab bisque was great!
Great service amazing food. Atmosphere was very relaxed and romantic Went here for restaurant week 2018 Seinfeld vs Friend's Menu was great, loved the idea everything, was executed wonderfully.
Went during restaurant week wife the wife. We ordered both options and tried all of everything. First and second courses from both were great. The avocado toast with the poached egg on top was fantastic. The main course pork dish was a little bland but the bourbon onions were very good. Atmosphere and service were great. Definitely will go again
We did the chef's table and the food was great. Service also phenomenal.
This was a stupid pic, but i liked the check trays. Chicken is fantastic. Matzo ball soup also.
Great experience! It wasn't impossible to get a table, but it was also busy enough that the atmosphere as fun and energetic. Excellent food and friendly service!
Amazing food. Incredible service. Super cool place.
Crunchy. Salad.
Just as good, if not better, than Ada Street. All the dishes were excellent. The 32 oz steak was cooked perfectly and well worth the (relatively inexpensive) price tag. Only negative is a weak beer selection, but the cocktails were great.
Great food and amazing staff. Highly recommend.
Tapas great music and atmosphere! A bit loud at times.
I am struggling to even give this restaurant 2 stars. I went during restaurant week and it was a tremendous disappointment. They offered a vegan menu which was amazing and I was so appreciative but I had asked about it before I found out about it. The food was not good, nothing was interesting or tasty, the best part about the meal was the first course which was half a piece of toast with avocado. On the first try the toast was so burnt I actually had to send it back just to get a normal piece of toast with half a scoop of what was basically guacamole. My friends ordered the non-vegan prefix and were also woefully disappointed as well. Nothing was good and the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the staff were doing a tremendous job to keep up despite being understaffed. The money was not worth the meal in the slightest.
Really good food, warm atmosphere, quality customer service. It's nice to have a place like this in Uk. Village.
This is one amazing joint!
Happy hour was great! Staff super nice!
Love the breakfast burrito.
It's so chill! Drinks are amazing!
All the food was sooo good...we ended up ordering another biscuit just for dessert. Great service and ambiance as well!
Excellent spot, the food is fabulous. The bar menu is fantastic. The recent reconcept is great get two orders of the wings they are that good
Went here for restaurant week, it was amazing! Will definitely go back for their regular menu
The chicken was fantastic! Fried to crispy perfection and really scrumptious sauces, i highly recommend the maple Chile butter. They don't slack on the sides either--loaded mashed potatoes were to die for and biscuits too good to share. Cocktails were creative but approachable and decent wine by the class. This place is more than a neighborhood gem!!
Good eatery. Interesting spices on the food. I enjoyed it
Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere, the service, and the food was Amazing. I'd like to put out there the service most of all. Courtney was just perfect. I've never got such caring service before. She considered all my allergies and …
Best fried chicken in the city! The green beans are crazy good, and don't get me started about the biscuits.
Amazing food and decor. Loved the experience. A definite go to place.
Everything was delicious. Food was amazing, service was stellar. Drinks were great. Definitely a "foodie" place but so good!!!!!
Favorite part of the restaurant week menu was the avocado toast
Loved every dish we tried. Definitely get the potato gnocchi and the fajitas. Nice environment, would definitely recommend.
Decent food but way overpriced. $4 for half a chicken breast?? That's crazy
We were invited to their preview re-opening and introduction of their new menu. The menu has changed drastically. Our server, Whitney, told us the menu was changed in order to get more take out orders, with the old menu, they did not get many of these. They also will be open for lunch soon and stay open an hour later each night. Chicken, chicken and more chicken. The menu has been simplified and less varied. This is not necessarily a bad thing, it just means they are sticking to items that they do really well. We split a 4 piece (split boneless breast, bone in leg and thigh) order of fried chicken, a shrimp po-boy sandwich (with cabbage slaw, spicy mayo on a soft bun) and an order of roasted vegetables (with an aged cheddar cheese sauce). Looking at the chicken, I thought it was too dark and overdone, however, once I removed the crust, my chicken was moist and delicious. The po-boy sandwich had plenty of shrimp, was very tasty and was really good. I was disappointed in the roasted vegetables as they were definately overdone and very dry. We topped off the meal with a Krombacher (pilsner) and Three Floyd's Alpha King (pale ale). The service was impeccable and we will return for more fried chicken!
Great gluten free options and loved the atmosphere. Service and drinks were amazing and everyone seemed very passionate about what they were doing.
Very good cuisine. In fact, I just went down the menu and selected 10 different things. All my selections were excellent!
Nice atmosphere, great service and unmatched food choices
Just a great local joint run by amazing people.
One of the rare gems in the city! Staff is incredible especially sitting at the bar. Food is addictively awesome, you really can’t pick a bad option here. Chicken is by far the best I’ve had, perfectly crispy, seasoned and juicy without ever being greasy. Try the nachos with chicken perfect balance with the pickled jalapeños. Drink menu is killer! My go to spot, highly recommend you stop in and experience this rad place.
Delicious comfort food, pumpkin and spice flavored cocktails and desserts, which I assume are seasonal. Warmly lit cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a lovely winter night outing. The gravy fries were a delicious reminder of poutine. My only minor complaint was that the fried chicken was breaded and cooked in a way that made a hard crunchy shell, thicker than expected. I found it somewhat unpleasant, but it's entirely possible others would enjoy it. The chicken inside was tender and delicious, nothing to complain about there. Overall they did a great job of serving a limited number well executed dishes, which I prefer to a sprawling selection of mediocre dishes.
Nice vibe—I think they were playing vinyl—but I personally thought the chicken nuggets were way over-hyped. Good addition to the neighborhood.
Had never been here before. Went to meet friends and talk over some business. The sign said that they specialized in chicken which got me all excited because I consider myself a "connoisseur" of chicken. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but that was the only good thing about it. The water was warm (no ice). Everything was sold separately and I hate to say it but the chicken was horrible! Not seasoned, cooked too hard and the only piece I recognized was the leg! I would not recommend this restaurant - at least not for the chicken!
Good experience
Amazing burgers, extremely inviting atmosphere, and an unbeatable happy hour. A gem in the neighborhood.
Great flavors and cocktails. Definitely a comfort food type place. I've been twice now and will probably be back.
Their Gluten Free Fried Chicken barley made it for the Picture! It was gone as fast as it was served ! D•E•L•I•C•I•O•U•S!
The biscuits, the biscuits, the biscuits! Seriously the biscuits are amazing, The chicken is so fresh and the breading is perfect. All the sauces are great but the curry mayo shines. Have I mentioned how good the biscuit with chile-maple butter is?
Gotta love the Nachos! (With fried Chicken!)
I have been there before and after it changed from fine-dining at causal atmosphere to fried-chicken centric with high quality compliments. Although I like to former version better but I understand the current format is more approachable for a neighborhood restaurant. Anyway, the service has always been attentive and thorough, and the food is very good. The fried chicken is definitely high quality, but the stars are the creative sides and appetizers where the chef's skills shine.
Just tried the new fried chicken focused menu and it's hard to not rank them #1 in terms of fried chicken in the city. The sauces served with the chicken also are top notch, very well rounded. The breading on the fried chicken is deceptively light yet so crunchy, with the inside so succulent and tender. The biscuit...oh my god. It's a revelation, I'm a biscuit connoisseur and this one is very high on the list, the chili maple butter is also amazing. The hush puppies are the most well executed in the city, light yet dense and flavorful. Extremely happy with both the food and service, will definitely be back.
Amazing Tequila... some of the best I've tried. Very reasonable happy hour prices.
Overpriced--food was alright.
Great food great service
Fried chicken was ok but disappointing. Lacked seasoning. The sauce was good but fried chicken shouldn’t need sauce to enjoyably eat. Mediocre slaw and pickles for $4 each.
Great food and drinks
Happy hour nuggets!
Nice restaurant
Fantastic American comfort food, top to bottom in the menu. The only place that I know of that serves gluten-free fried chicken, and they're serious about food allergy issues.
Love the space, cozy but not small. Great nature light. Great service (timely food delivery and servers are super awesome). Bit of nostalgia when you order smashed potatoes and chicken nuggets. Super fluffy eggs if you're there for brunch., Can't wait to see how their dinner service is.
Beautiful space, warm service, fun dinner party vibes. Everything that came out looked beautiful and tasted even better. The gnocchi is NOT to be missed. Even simple-sounding things like the green bean casserole had us basically licking the plate. Love Chef Zoe's food and her whole team here.
Great Happy Hour options. Very creative menu. Maximum possibilities with local sourcing. Very empathetic and professional staff. Chef is very personable. ALWAYS treat the kitchen to a six pack!
Best fried chicken experience I've ever had. The sides are even better.
Amazing food atmosphere and drink selection. Went for restaurant week and the 4 course menu was to die for! Will definitely be back to try their regular menu!
Here for restaurant week sooo good
Great cocktails. Must try their old fashion. Great food and very romantic atmosphere
Best fried chicken. Period. End of discussion!
Was served a tasting menu at the Chef's table. It was outstanding. The flavors we're well connected and delicious. No empty stomachs or unsatisfied palates.
I'm giving the 5 stars for the food and the drinks. Ended up at a late brunch at this place and ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage. It was gigantic and I really enjoyed it. They had placed an amazing hash brown in the tortilla and then filled it with all kinds of goodness. There was some mild heat to it with the jalapeños but it was just right. Their whiskey and rye selection was really good and the manager recommend one for the Old Fashion. Perfection. My only down side was the service. We weren't checked on enough during the meal for drinks and dessert but I overlooked it as the burrito was so good. I recommend this place.
Great seasonal vegetable grain bowl and friendly service. Right across the street from an adorable vintage shop.
Theme menu a lot of fun, but food was just ok
Longtime resident of Chicago here - in a place of endless options for great meals, they really do kill it. Atmosphere and Service is on point as well. Do yourselves a favor, and go here. Ordered chicken wings, biscuit with **maple butter** and shaved vegetable salad.
Some very creative dishes.
Delicious fried chicken and biscuits. Even the gluten free fried chicken was equally delicious. Nice cocktail menu as well.
When your local spot knows what you really like...
The food here was great. I'll start there. Food & coffee : excellent. We stopped in here for brunch this last weekend. The menu is limited, the space is "cozy" but with all the windows it feels very open. The decor is cool. However, we sat for nearly 10 minutes before a server even came over to us. The hostess stopped by and gave us water after she seated us, but no one else said a word to us for nearly 10 minutes after the water. They may have been low on staff, but you can still stop by to let us know you'll just be a second. Overall, I'll go back, but I'll sit at the bar.
Good food
Old fashion was on point. Top 3 spot for an old fashioned in Chicago, crunchy salad with chicken was pretty good as well!
There are numerous options for vegetarians, even for a limited menu that they have here. I was happy with my taco salad and the “snacks” that they have available (fried pickles and nachos were the best dishes on the menu). The vegan chicken option was fine, but quite bland without the sauce. The server was also confused as to how many pieces came in the order, which was disappointing. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Not the best option for people looking for “fake meat”, but still pretty good.
The service was very good. Good cocktails, good chickpea salad and an absolutley dynamite biscuit. But the chicken, oh the chicken. Unseasoned, overcooked and simply baffling given that's their whole schtick. I guess I should have known what was coming when they offer a series of dipping sauces. Good fried chicken doesn't need that. For those that have said this is the best fried chicken they've ever had, I feel kinda bad for you.
All the food is amazing. Super duper fancy cocktails. The nicest staff.
Delicious dinner and cocktails. Great service, too!
Fun place and great food! The fried chicken and biscuits are delicious!
Great GLUTEN FREE FRIED CHICKEN! Seriously delicious food and good drinks. Our server Siobhan was friendly and made good recommendations.
Small but very interesting menu. Great decor and service. Would definitely go back.
Beautiful food. I never had a better experience in a new restaurant around my neighborhood.
Nice atmosphere. Menu needs work. Only a few things on the menu I really wanted to eat. Food can be delicious and healthy - not necessarily the main consideration here.
One of my top three favorite restaurants in Chicago. The food is superb, the drinks delicious and the staff delightful. If you haven't tried it, you absolutely should. Best vegan chicken I have ever had!
Excellent service and excellent chicken. Highly recommend the sauce flight!
Great food great chefs great serves lovely place to wine and dine
Good chicken..great service
double eh
Loved every dish we had on the menu - green salad, green bean casserole, fajitas, and gnocchi. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
The burrito is unreal. Coming back for dinner asap
Amazing cocktails and delicious food!
Great fried chicken
I've waited a long time for this empty building to turn into something exciting and here it is! The decor inside is adorable and cozy. The food ranges from octopus to chicken nuggets. The price is akin to a nice dinner out.
Excellent food, although very pricey.
Came here with some colleagues for dinner and wasn't disappointed. Great atmosphere and even better food. A bit on the pricy side, but this place is great to split meals and try a variety of food items with friends or family.
Very thoughtful attention to flavor here. Look underneath the liquor selection and you see the house made tinctures and shrubs. (Not like shrubs on your lawn) The drinks are designed for balance, not too much alcohol taste, not too much fruitiness. Chefs table available, to really get into the making of the meal. Go here, it's lovely.
Better than expected.
What a fantastic restaurant! My family and I celebrated my mother's in-law birthday there! The beet salad, steak tartar and pasta were amazing! Great service and ambiance! Thank you chef Zoe and team!
