This restaurant is my preferred one. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The team is very welcoming and the cooking they offer is so appetizing. I never decline to have a good meal in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

I've only eaten at this particular location once but have ordered through Caviar multiple times. Just generally speaking this chain does pretty good ramen. I've only ordered the furious and it's obviously not traditional Japanese ramen. When I did visit this particular location the workers told me Shin (co-owner) is pretty nice. Having worked in the food industry that made me pretty happy that my money isn't going to some jerk that mistreats his workers.

Melt-in-your-mouth brisket. Break it apart and eat it with the delectable, extra chunky BBQ beans. The Memphis style sauce was thick and savory, and the vinegary Carolina style was a fantastic second sauce to mix-it-up every few bites. However, the presentation was a bit lacking, and the dish was significantly drier and less satisfying after it cooled. The location in the Revival Food Hall is great and means you can find food that will satisfy everyone.

Food 5-star / Service 5-star / Atmosphere 4-star. By far my favorite barbecue in Chicago: smoky meat with various styles of sauce on the side and tasty side dishes. Food is great! Ordering process was fairly quick and easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only watch out is that seating can be challenging in the Revival Food Hall during lunch hour. If you can avoid the 12-1pm peak hour, you will have a great experience at this location!

If you want a great bbq meat, Smoque BBQ is the place, amazing meat tasting and delicious. Is a good option. 100% recommend you. Meat is terrific don’t need sauce, but if you like put it. The price is reasonable with the plate.

Went after work, no crowds. Sliced brisket on a bun, potato salad, slaw, butterscotch root beer. The brisket is wonderful, skip the bun it just covers the flavor. Try the meat without sauce first. The sauces compliment but are unnecessary, the meat is that tasty. Slaw and pot. salad are above average. Service is fast and cheerful. Well priced.

I have seen Smoque on a few shows on the food network over the last few years and was excited to hear about the location in the revival food hall in the loop. It was my first stop on my trip to Chicago and the BBQ did not disappoint. I have traveled far and wide in search of perfect BBQ and I found it in the chopped beef brisket sandwich.

Placed a little bit out of downtown Chicago, I was pleasantly surprised with the BBQ. There is a smaller storefront in a cafeteria like setting downtown, but my SO really wanted to try the ribs. I ordered the sandwich and some sides instead and took bites of his ribs. You can definitely taste the smokey flavor infused into the meat of the ribs as they fall off the bone easily. The meat was tender and full of flavor. We ate around lunch time on a weekday and it didn't seem like they were fighting for business with people always coming through its doors. It's a great BBQ joint I'd visit again if I lived in Chicago.

Smoque was a very interesting place in a good way. As some out-of-towers it was a little difficult to find but after a quick check on maps we found it and the other choices in this unique food restaurant group. The food brisket was very tender and just fell apart which was delightful. The BBQ sauces were delicious. I had the spicy Memphis and it was very good with just a little heat. I didn’t taste or see a nice smoke ring but that’s okay.

Came here for lunch, got the brisket plate, portions were huge for the price! The BBQ sauce options were good, the mustard was my favorite. I like the customizable 'chipotle' style of ordering. I would definitely come back. The location however is a little hard to find.

I wasn’t aware that this location had such a limited menu. By the middle of lunch rush, they were already out of macaroni and cheese. The pulled pork sandwich was good with the Memphis and Texas sauces, but it was slightly dry. The baked beans were subpar; they are cooked with meat, but they don’t taste savory. The saving grace was the bread pudding. It was magnificent. The caramel and pecans elevated it to another level. TLDR: limited menu, come early for mac and cheese, ok pulled pork, less than ok baked beans, amazing bread pudding

Limited menu for the food hall, but still enough to make it hard to choose. We tried the pulled pork and chopped brisket - with all the different sauces to dip (couldn’t give you a favorite they were all so different and good). Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The potato salad was good but the slaw was the winner with the vinegar cutting through the rich BBQ perfectly. Reasonable price for such tip quality food - and some of the friendliest/best service anywhere, let alone at a take away food hall.

I have had Smoque at its original location 10 years ago when I lived in Chicago and remember it fondly for having awesome brisket. I was excited to see Smoque at the revival food hall because it was a short walk from the hotel I was staying. I ordered the brisket sandwich. The brisket wasn’t as good as I remembered it but was still cooked nicely. It was tender had a nice fattiness to it and nice flavor on the bark. Where the sandwich failed is the bread. Arguably the bread is the most important part of the sandwich. Minimally if the bread is not good it will destroy the dish. That is what happened here. The bread is of the same quality as off the shelf supermarket bread. That is fine if I’m having a brisket sandwich at my friends house but not at a restaurant. The dipping sauces offered were also pretty good, but couldn’t make up for the dry bread. They do offer the option of ordering the brisket a la carte without bread and that is what I would suggest doing. I probably would having given 4 stars if that is what I ordered.
