Visited yesterday for a late dinner with my family. The service was horrible. The last time we were there the food was awful as well but this time that was amazing! There were only two cooks back there that we could see but they both seemed to be the only ones working and caring about what they do. Our waitress was horrible. When we asked to speak to the manager she told us that she would find her. We watched her walk into the office and back to us. Sheila was too busy to visit our table and didn’t leave the office once. I have also heard a lot of other harsh things about this manager. Maybe once they get rid of her The front of house will be just as good as the back!

For the past several years when we go to this Smokey Bones we are left unsatisfied by the quality of our food but we were celebrating our daughter's birthday and she loves Smokey Bones so we relented. My burger wasn't medium like I ordered it and lacked seasoning, my husband's fish was mediocre and my daughter's french dip was lacking meat and the meat that was on it was all dried out. I tasted her sandwich, it tasted like beef jerky. I wanted to especially say something about my daughter's sandwich to the waiter, but she didn't want me to say something because she would be embarrassed. We ordered an appetizer and soda and our bill was $60! The only reason I didn't give this one star was because the server was excellent.

Service good, food good, but a little overpriced. For instance, the Cuban sandwich price was larger than the sandwich quality and size. But why order a Cuban sandwich at a bar b Q joint. I had and enjoyed All of the St Louis full rack! The Texas kid will order ribs next time.

I've been here many times and had good experiences. The food on this visit was just as always, good barbecue. I think they were having a staffing issue this day and caused us to have to wait over an hour for our food. The manager took care of everything though and comp'd our meal. I'm definitely going to come back and hopefully they won't have that issue again.

As a career manager of anywhere from 5 to 115 employees and a trained chef, the GM on duty today has a lot to learn about manage people and how to motivate them. This is evident by not only the demeanor of the staff and stories I heard today, but previous reviews of a miserable attitude of the staff. You don't motivate by threatening employment.

8/4/19 9 people went at 5pm to smokey bones to celebrate a birthday. It was not busy. Everything went well AT FIRST... Then the issues started. They took orders for half the party and they got their food out quick. The other half of the party looked around asking when will our orders be taken. After orders were taken it took a long time to receive our food. When food was finally recieved they had orders all screwed up. It took awhile to get it straighten out. Our waitress was patient and great... In my opinion, It was a back of the house kitchen issue that caused the problem. As you might have noticed there was no mention of manager... Thats because one never came out to appologize or to check on the progress of our order corrections. Smh the entire problem and correction was all handled by the waitress.

This restaurant is quickly becoming a favorite of my wife and myself. Whenever possible we stop here too eat when in Ft Wayne. Nice environment, friendly staff and, most importantly;GREAT FOOD! Crazy busy at dinner time most days but worth the wait. Lunch is a much quicker affair with almost the entire menu available (brisket after 4:00 PM only and sells out fast every day.) I suggest that you try it if you enjoy smokey barbecue food. You will be glad you did!

Masie was an excellent waitress. Not many people realize that the service staff is penalized, down staffed and even made to work at their loss if they do not get enough positive survey reviews. Our service has always been excellent, the food good but we had not always done the survey. Please take time to give your wait staff a positive review..if it was. Great food and service but can be pricey. They have good lunch specials at reasonable prices but evening and weekend prices are too high for what you get. We used to be regulars but left when prices kept going up... returned today to a nearly empty noon rush. Service was excellent but good luck paying cash, as the server wants you to use those table kiosks.

Atmosphere was great. I got one of their gourmet mac and cheeses and I was a little disappointed. Most the cheese was at the bottom of the dish and the chicken was missing the spicy flavor they advertised. The bacon was in a lump at the bottom as well. Maybe it was an off night. I'll try again one day and offer revisions if necessary.

Our bartender was nice enough even though I got carded and totally shut down on anything cool for my (THIRTY FIFTH) birthday... I ordered the pulled pork tacos which were delicious but literally poured juice down my arm for some inexplicable reason. I had an unremarkable glass of moscato and my friend ordered the strawberry lemonade which was made with a ton of simple syrup and so sweet he had to have them cut it with a ton of sprite to even make it palatable. My friend ordered the steak and spinach salad medium and the steak was so rare he couldn't chew it so he sent it back and somehow had his salad back in under 2 minutes with the "same" steak completely overcooked... I'm not sure how this is even physically possible unless they have a flat top time machine in the back... definitely suspicious to say the least. I would say overall it was not worth the time and $50 +/- for a mediocre meal consisting of 3 tacos and an apparently magical salad.

*Vegan friendly* which was a huge plus! Our server was outgoing, caring, and very knowledgeable of the menu! The bubble lemonade was amazing and very unique for a restaurant! Could have more fries in the side portion with burger because the natural cut fries were awesome but looked a little sparse on the big plates! The restaurant layout and environment was modern and very spacious with great lighting and music! Even as a vegan I will be back! :) Thanks for a great experience! Side note: location is great if you want to seek out other activities with family and friends at Jefferson Pointe shopping center!

My first experience with Smokey Bones. Ordered the Loaded BBQ Burger with fries, I asked for medium rare, and the burger was cooked to perfection. Very juicy and flavorful. I'm looking forward to going back to try something else on the menu. Service was polite and fast! Very good experience!

Back ribs were better than most places. Fish was very average and leaning towards under-cooked. They were unable to fulfill my wife's original request of chicken breast because they were out. Service was average and the price was expensive compared to others places offering the same fare. Onion rings were good.

We have been out of town for awhile and just got home this past weekend. Decided to come back tonight for dinner. The food was amazing. They must have changed their cooks. The service on the other hand was the worst we’ve ever received! And the manager? Where were they at? The other servers were the only ones helping. No manager to be seen! We even asked for the manager, but when the waitress came back to the table the response was I’m not sure where she’s at. What kind of management is going on here!

Our waiter made a classic mistake that I see way too often in the restaurant industry. Our food arrived. He asked if everything was OK. We had 2 pepper shakers but no salt shaker. He said he'd get one. He then proceeded to take the order of a 5 top and process the bill for another table. So I had to make a choice ... let my baked potato go cold or get the salt shaker from the empty table next to me. He eventually came with the salt and was surprised that we already had it ... really? Take care of the table with hot food first.

My boyfriend Ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye Rare... it came out well done. Sent it back. The lady next to us at the bar ordered the same thing but well done. She cut into hers... Rare. She sent hers back. My boyfriend watches them take her steak off the plate and put it onto another. 2-3 minutes later my boyfriend’s comes back out with a cut into it. It was the same steak the lady sent back. We sent it back. The service manager comes out basically denies it ever happened. New steak comes out barely even cooked. Lady’s steak comes out... same steak that was originally hers then my boyfriend’s and then back to her. Our bartender/waiter tried to make it right as he too seen what the cooks did. No luck. Not sure if we will be returning as we made an hour and fifteen minute drive to come in the 1st place

What a fun place. Lively staff and hoppin' atmosphere! RJ was our server and had the best suggestions! Ask for him. He is hilarious and makes sure it's a good time. The ribs are INCREDIBLE! Tender, flavorful, fall apart perfection. The pulled pork and the smoked wings are amazing as well. I recommend getting the create your own bbq combo, or the tabletop grill that feeds anywhere from 2-6 people, to really get a taste of what they have to offer. Service is always friendly and efficient. However, their coleslaw tastes like they dumped an entire container of celery seed in it, was not a fan. That's my only complaint. This is easily one of my family's favorite restaurants!

I can’t remember her name, but she was a very nice black lady with black and red braids, and glasses I’m pretty sure. I just wanted to give her a shoutout. We came in on the 4th of July, with a party of 8, which included 3 children. She went above and beyond to make sure EVERYTHING was taken care of, and made sure our lunch was great. Very prompt. My order got messed up, which I didn’t mind. But she surprised me with the original entree I had ordered! Drinks were never empty. She had a WONDERFUL personality, and made sure we had a great experience, along with being SO nice to the kids. I wish I could give her 10/5 stars.

We have eaten here many times over the years, and have seen the prices go up and the quality go down. Yesterday, again the food was disappointing. I ordered the 1/3 rack of St. Louis ribs, but what I got was a small piece of dried up meat that had 3 small bones, each 1 inch long that were so overcooked, they were soft and disintegrating. My potato and broccoli were not hot, even after returning to the kitchen. My husband's food was just barely warm as well, but we were hungry, so ate it anyway. We cashed out our Bones reward, but will not be back.

The food and service are both hit and miss. We used to go to Smokey Bones more often, but not so much anymore. Last time we went, the pulled pork tasted off and had a rubber texture. I ordered a salad as an appetizer, and that didn't get delivered to the table till after the food arrived. I also ordered a pair of smoked sausage. One was rock hard and the other was perfect.

If you are looking for roughly the same prices as Apple Bees but you want significantly more flavor this place is it. The pork is where it is at, the brisket is great but the pork is so far above. If you forgo appetizers, their appetizers are pricey, you will get rate of Apple Bees but I am telling you flavor is great. The other standout was the service, it was excellent. I have travelled and lived in different areas around the US and some other countries and our waitress Victoria M was hands down THE best server we have ever had anywhere. Go here, eat great food, have good drinks, and have perfect service... you won't regret it.

Every time I come in "Sam Garcia" always greets me and my girlfriend and friends with the biggest smile and always the most kindest gentleman can be to us and his customers, he very nice to everyone that walks through those doors and to sit at the bar or the dining room. My salad was spoiled on the bottom. My baked potato was small and the skin not cleaned. I couldn't eat my meal and didn't told the waitress, she said she told the manager but made no amends to my bill. I was sick within a half hour and the whole next day. $44 for two meals and two drinks. Not worth it

We walked in and had the most gracious hostess. She hustled and got our table ready immediately! Then the service was absolutely first class, RJ had the best suggestions and was so attentive. He really cared for us and had a genuine concern for our experience. It was so refreshing with today's service standards. Thank you RJ. We will be back for him!
