Loved it. Tried the bulgogi, bibimbap, ramen, and dumplings. Everything was well made, flavorful, and the portions were huge. Service was great too. The only tables large enough for our family hadn't been cleared yet and someone noticed almost before I did and came out to clean up. We will definitely be back.

This was a great casual place with tasty food. The serving size was large so you get more than enough for your money. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is there was not an option for smaller servings for kids.

Recently me and my father went to eat at this restaurant and my father was in the military and he was stationed in Korea and he said that he hasn’t tasted bull go gi like that in since he been over there in the motherland. I give it five stars.

I heard about a new Korean Restaurant in Oak Brook so I was excited to see how it was. They have a small to medium sized list of prepared dishes from Korean styled Bento Boxes to Korean BBQ (not the all you can eat kind). My friend and I opted for the Bulgogi BBQ and Pork Belly BBQ as pictured below. The portions were very generous, delicious and tasted very fresh. We both highly enjoyed the Pork Belly dish which included a few pieces of tofu. The establishment is very clean and has an open space. The staff is friendly and the time between placing our order and having our food was very short. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This was out first time here and it was really tasty! We got spring rolls, hot stone bibimbop, and a beef bulgolgi bento box. Everything was really tasty, but the spring rolls were especially delicious. Crispy on the outside, flaky, with a great amount of filling. The kimchi could have been more pickled and less spicy, and the fish cakes were fishier than others I've had at other places. Other than that, I'm excited to try their ramen next! Great spot.

Very underrated establishment serving delicious authentic Korean dishes. More of a casual dining style with plenty of natural light making the place look fresh and clean. Will be coming back here as I didn't get to try all the dishes so far.

Excellent food at a great price. I ordered ahead for lunch and everything was so well packed. Plus it was more than I could eat. I had the chicken bibimbap, and I will be back to try more.

This is a very casual almost fast food set up. The menu is slightly different from the Glenview location. For instance they don't have the mushroom ramen here. Not a deal breaker and the food is just as good. You order and pay at the register then have a seat and they rush your steaming hot food to your table. Or in nicely packed containers to carryout if you like. I've been here a couple of times and the service is always very friendly. The parking lot does get extremely full during lunch so you know its good! I'm glad there is a SGD in the western suburbs. It's a very welcomed treat!

So Gong Dong..must mean... "SO DARN GOOD" IN KOREAN!!! We LOVE Korean food but have had a difficult time finding one that is both nearby AND FANTASTIC!.. Yesterday was our first...but NOT last time dining here. Everything that was supposed to be crispy was...The fresh steamed noodles, fresh stirfry all had excellent flavors...just can't get enough of their food! We will definitely be BACK!!!

Want a quick Korean lunch or dinner? This is the best idea for a casual quick meal vs fast food. Dishes are delicious, along with good friendly service! Ramen was served piping hot (spicy and temperature hot)... yum! The bento box was good too. But,I prefer the japchae side noodles vs the plain noodles served in the bento box. Nevertheless, good food! Want to try the food at a discount? Try their Hapoy Hour from 4pm - 6pm... 20% off! Great deal! Spacious and clean too. I usually go to the Schaumburg location, which is a full service dining. Excellent!

Great to find another location open up nearby! This one is much less formal, so you can drop by order an entree at the counter, and they'll bring it to your table. Still featuring their delicious tofu soup!

For the price and the time that it takes to get your food, they do a really good job. Don't expect the food to be as flavorful as homemade Korean food or the stuff you'd taste in Korea, but if you need a cheap, quick Korean fix this place is an excellent option. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Soooo tasty! Would highly recommend. Pork Bulgogi(B7) was what I had. Usually I'm picky about the texture of meat, but this was very lean and the seasoning/sauce was great. Corn and kimchi side hit the spot. Enough left over for another meal.

I'm was so excited when I heard that So Gong Dong was opening near me. My sister and I checked it out yesterday and surprised to find out that it's not a sit down restaurant which I liked and the food was the same as the one in Glenview. I had my usual tofu with ramen dish with pork belly wrap. This restaurant is an authentic Korean restaurant, not watered down version. Korean food is getting popular and I'm so happy that we finally have one of my favorite restaurant is in Oak Brook.

Very pleasantly surprised with my experience here. I only had a short time for my lunch break and rushed to get some food, unfortunately the restaurant was pretty busy and there was a group of people ahead of me. Seeing the line ahead of me, I knew I wouldn't be able to get the hot stone bibimbap or the soondubu because I was scared I wouldn't have enough time to eat there so I opted for the regular bibimbap to go so I could make it back before my lunch break ended. To my surprise, I didn't wait long for my food and was approached and handed my to go package neatly organized without a number prompting me to come pick it up - I felt special. I went to my car and was astounded with the packaging. I thought all of the beef and vegetables would be on top of the rice in 1 container but the container had a upper portion that housed all the toppings and the bottom portion houses the rice, beef and egg! The food was great and fresh. I definitely enjoyed my experience besides rushing due to my time limit.
