Bad service with the customers, the waiters bother taking a picture for you and they don't like listening to suggestions and improving thier business. (BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE WATER AND BREADS,) suspicious taste and smell out of the date.! I hope that they can improve BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN.

If you have visited the island or miss some good home cooking this restaurant has the flavor portions and freshness your looking for. I drive 3 and a half hours just to enjoy the deep fried goodness that is ala cart served to go or dine in. The rice is always fluffy and the pasteles hot and flavorful with just the right Malta or Cola champagne to go with your meal.

I don't like the food from this place at all the rice barely naked with a few grains of pigeon peas the sausage in the rice is semi cooked,. The pork skin is not hard and crunchy always soft sorry but not my taste.

I've been coming here for years and never have I received the service I got today. The young man that answers the phones and works the register is so professional and accommodating (sorry didn't get his name.) He was amazing. Plus, the food is DELICIOUS, and the prices are reasonable. So it's a win-win! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My daughter, two nieces, nephew, myself and a family friend dropped in one evening and were waited on by Jesse. Jesse greeted us with a warm smile and seated us promptly. We had lechon which was juicy and flavorful; we had the jibaritos which weren't the freshest but still delicious; we also had the alcapurria which were super fresh and lacked NOTHING!! My nephew ordered tostones which were light and crispy with garlic "mojo"on the side. Jesse memorized our whole order and repeated everything back to us, not leaving anything off! I even joked and suggested he try for that show super human for memorization but he said he loves what he does and I have to say IT SHOWS!!! He had such a great personality and so friendly but not fake or overly crowding. As if I wouldn't go back for the food, Jesse and his dad/the owner made me and my group feel welcome!! I do recomend this place. It's a little hidden gem. Try it, you'll like it!!

On a recent Chicago food crawl with my trusted native Chicago-an (not sure if that's a word lol) he took me to this small spot for some banging fried chicken, pernil and addictive arroz con gandules! My most favorite rice dish in the world! Sadly for some reason most restaurants I've had it at would under season the rice or undercooked the rice so you're left with a mouthful of hard bits of crunchy rice grains! Not so here! The rice was perfectly seasoned with the right ratio of rice to gandules too! The restaurant is clean and not much for decor but the food made up for that! I cannot wait to get back there on my next visit!

Food taste nothing like Puerto Rican food. Lechón was dry pasteles hard and rice tasted like Mexican rice. At first used to be Puerto Rican people cooking, then Mexican trying to make PR food, this last time, was Guatemalan people making the food and it was sucks. Never go again
