After The Art Institute, visiting Rudy's is an important stop because the service is an experience. They encourage patrons to express their creative talents by providing markers to draw on the paper tablecloth. The drink selection is excellent and the food is wonderful.

This place is my favorite bar in Chicago, I go at least once a week sometimes twice because the food is great, the drinks are reasonably priced and the management and wait staff are fantastic. Shout out to YoYo, Renada, Ally and Trish, my favorite bartenders and servers that work there. I highly recommend checking this place out!

They don't have space for big groups. Also very few food selection for vegan. Bar is designed in small place as people going and coming out will bump you for sure. Servers were pushing while passing by if you are in bar area getting ur drinks. Also one of the was very rude to all guests.

Popped in for a pit stop while in town before the winter classic. Place was fun. Nice staff and cheap beer. Didnt eat but from what I saw the food appeard to be large portions and smelled excellent. Bathrooms were very clean.

Came here after receiving horrible service at another restaurant down the road. Our waitress was so sweet and extremely attentive. My mother and I both ordered the broasted chicken and were told upfront the wait would be 25 minutes. We were okay with that and had some fried cheese curds to hold us over. Our dinner arrived in about 20 minutes and it was steaming hot, fresh, and absolutely DELICIOUS. I also had a creamsicle martini and let me tell you, they are NOT stingy with their alcohol! The martini was filled to the brim and it tasted dangerously good! I would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

Fun hangout bar. Comfortable and laid back vibe. They have a $6 cheeseburger, which is unheard of in that area. I was there a little before midnight, so perhaps that's a late night offer. The burger was good but the fries were under done (limp and starchy). I still would go back.

Hey, I was intregued by the sign, and the classy woman out front, who told me the mac and cheese was good. But what really got me was the seven dollar martinis. Yeah. I had the pomegranate. Not something you see every day. Now I'm buzzed and on my way home on the train, but what a time I had! The drink came fast, loaded to the top of the glass, and it was STRONG!!! The place had bathrooms up a flight of stairs. There are lots of old pictures of Chicago, and a cool atmosphere, plus the music was popping. I will likely be back.

Sat at the bar, we had to ask the bartender to order drinks and to order food. She never came by and asked how everything was or if we needed anything. The manager is the one who asked us how the food was was if we needed anything. She dropped the check off before we even got our food and without asking if we wanted more drinks (we did). Wouldn't go back for meh food and bad service. First and last time

Arrived 530 on Saturday, sat right down. Good selection of beer, try the Gumball.. pretty good according to 3 people in my part. Waiter was attentive, offered up specials. I enjoyed the Rudy signature Burger with Coleslaw. Both were very good, burger cooked medium as ordered and creamy coleslaw hit the spot. I'd come here for a repeat meal. The restroom was quite clean, usually worth taking a restaurant down a notch.

This was a great experience! We had a group of 14 and they were able to get us in right away. The only down fall is they basically required that it was all on one. I'm from a small town, so guess that might be a thing here. Anyways food was good and a good price! We got crayons to draw on the table and whoever had the best drawings won. So three of us won at our table and got a triple layered dessert that was so so so good! Our server was very polite and prompt. The manager was also very friendly, funny and kept the atmosphere upbeat and fun! I'd come here again, but be more prepared money wise for big groups! I'd recommend coming here!

Rudy's Bar & Grille is a nice looking place with a great bar and tons of Chicago history. The dinning area is small, but there was no wait for my boyfriend and I at lunch time. There are ample TVs to watch various sporting events. The vibe is a typical sports bar sports bar feel. Rudy's has a simple menu. I got the crispy chicken sandwich on the buttered bun and my boyfriend got a burger medium well on a pretzel bun. Both of us got fries. The wait for your food felt a little longer. Probably about 15-20 mins which seemed a little long considering what we ordered. It wasn't worth the wait for my crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was thin and fried, but it didn't really taste breaded. The lettuce and tomato on both sandwiches came with were wilted. The buttered bun was great as was the pretzel bun. My boyfriend's burger was juicy and fresh. Guess I must have just ordered the wrong thing. Wouldn't mind trying this place again and maybe order a burger next time.

Solid little joint for burger and a beer -- operative word being little. Service was good as was my meal. What is best is that these guys serve food until 12:30a and pickings are slim after 9p in The Loop. Doubt you will have a bad experience.

We come here a decent amount since it's close to where I work. I like the food and the service is efficient. Best to come just after 1:30pm to avoid the lunch rush. Burger skillets are great for a heavy lunch when you need serious fuel. Otherwise the Santa Fe chicken sandwich is my go-to. Their blackened salmon should not be overlooked. It's consistently fantastic.

Our experience was fantastic! Our server, Yolanda, was attentive and knowledgeable about the food selections. She made helpful suggestions without being pushy. Our food was perfect! Very nice bar and grill. Open late on weekdays which is handy when most of the other shops are closed. I'd recommend their nachos. Very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service quick.

Absolutely the worst place to go. If you don’t want to wait 30 minutes to receive water then don’t come here. Waitress took 15 minutes to ask for our order. Then had to come back three times and ask what it was people had ordered. Ridiculous service considering the place wasn’t close to full. Then when our food came out she had forgot to even put an order in and had to ask again what it was that she didn’t put in again. This place to allow someone to work like this is unbelievable. No food was compt.

My friend and I were looking for a place to grab a quick burger after work so we decided to give Rudy’s a try. I will say I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food was really good. We both ordered the bbq burger and waffle fries. They also had $4 shots. I’ll definitely be going back.

My family and I went to this establishment the weekend of 1/13/17. Our server ( I think his name was Tim) was awesome. The food was excellent. The experience was so good, we went back the next night too! The manager even offered us a free desert. We make it a tradition to go to Chicago to see Buddy Guy every year. We'll definitely add Rudy's Bar & Grille to our trip now, too!

If you're looking for a leaded martini and tasty bar food, this is the place to go!! The atmosphere is so relaxed, it's a treat to come by during an afternoon on a weekday and grab a martini at the bar. I mean, it's always a treat, but especially then when it's a little more quiet than the weekends (and when I'm more likely to get a seat at the bar) it's extra enjoyable. Even if I'm not eating a full meal at Rudy's I love to swing by for a drink and appetizers while I'm in town if I can squeeze it in. That said, I have also enjoyed when I've been here for lunch and dinner, though I love the shrimp po'boy so much I have a hard time trying new things! They also have perfect food for a late night when you're craving a nightcap and nachos at 1AM! Would definitely recommend <3

I travel to Chicago for work often and it's tradition I eat here the first night. Ruben and Revolution IPA. Great service. The place is filled with Chicago memorabilia. It's fun, casual and has great good. Don't like Ruben sandwiches? Get the Chicago Dog.
