I typically do brunch here. This time we got the smoked fish dip and a oyster mushroom tartine. Love the food here. Service is pleasant and professional. Patio can get noisy in the summer but that's just how it goes. Copious amount of vine.

Really cozy place. The bartender was very friendly and gave great service. I didn't try the food but the menu looked really good and prices were good. This is definitely a good date night spot or a casual night out with friends. Will definitely be back.

The service is stellar; however, the food is terrible. I ordered the ribeye steak which was the most expensive dish on the menu. They didn’t give me a whole steak—just three small slices of a steak accompanied by a bunch of burnt vegetables. If you decide to go here, I would recommend sticking to the drinks!

I can only speak highly of this place from several visits. Amazing food, amazing people, and they put the patrons experience first. Someone had walked in smelling like a prepubescent teenage boy who doused half a bottle of bad Axe on themselves to the point where it was suffocating to be in the space. Kudos to the team for asking them to leave since it ruined the sensory experience.

Pshh..like, what can I even say about this place? I pretty much never see places with all five stars filled in on Google...and for Rootstock, it's not without a reason. This place is just so cool! As the name suggests, they've got an amazing beer and wine selection, so you should know what you're in for as far as drinks go. The food they have to pair with it is nothing short of incredible. The team there is very knowledgeable about what they serve. They also serve food all the way up until closing, making this place a great option for late night bites, that is actually healthful. The atmosphere is super cozy and bathrooms are clean. Probably the only con is the location, but it's not too bad.

One of my favorite spots in the city. Last night I had a new pasta dish that was veggie friendly and was topped with roasted carrots that were to die for. Rootstock is fine West Loop dining without that hefty West Loop tab. They have oysters, they have charcuterie (in my opinion, the best board in the city in terms of selection and portion size), and a staggeringly large portfolio of wine. When your friends come to Chicago, and you wanna make em think you're living some glitzy high-class city life, bring them here. You'll escape with a $60 bill and satisfied visitors. Despite the limited seating, I've never had a problem getting a table here. The most I've ever had to wait is thirty minutes, and that was with a group of seven. A+ grade, would highly recommend.
