I had a breakfast and it was very goo. They have street seating also that looks comfortable. I liked the inside. They have a lot of business and a lot of servers. The service is quick. My waitress was bright and fast. I no longer drink but they have a quite expansive liquor selection. With a name like "ROCKS" they had better. Looks like a good date place.

There's nothing bad about the place but it isn't amazing either. The beer list is pretty deep and they have a wide selection of whiskeys. Decent burgers and well priced happy hour and daily menu specials. If it wasn't surrounded by truly great bars and restaurants it'd be better. As it stands it's a decent place to get a drink.

This place was clean and quick to seat us. The staff was friendly and we received great service for a table of 8. The pricing was correct. The only reason it wasn't a 5 because the food was just regular stuff. Nothing over to top exciting. Overall, a solid experience and I will return.

Absolutely terrible service - bartender (David K) literally tossed drink coasters at us, placed the drinks that we ordered really far away from where we were sitting (so much so that we had to stand up from our seats to reach them) and acted like we were a complete nuisance the entire time. Don't go here, spend your money where you will for sure be appreciated!

This is probably the third time coming here, and they never fail me with the food quality and and size. Lately its hard to find a place with not so expensive and pig portions. Best time to go is during week and daytime, maybe afternoon. Weekend is really crazy at this place.

Okay food. Usually good waiters/waitresses. One of the worst gimlets I have ever had in my life (they aren't that hard and I've tried twice). Rudest door men in the city...they pounce on my teenagers demanding ID every time as we enter to eat like they just caught a fugitive. Definitely not family friendly. I'm done with this place despite it being around the corner from my house.

Overrated. Drinks are wildly inconsistent as well as the service. Drink prices are WAY overpriced, a fact they won’t bother to mention until after the bill comes, and those prices can also be inconsistent. Tried talking to the staff about the inconsistency and overpriced small drinks, to no avail, even after many many visits here. So many better places around Lakeview to visit. Not worth it. They have lost my friends and my business.

Excellent place for a burger and a drink. While there's a wide selection, personally I'd suggest getting their house burger (the Rocks burger) and a bloody Mary. Their curly and greek fries are very good, and the atmosphere is very lively, while usually a bit loud. It's a great place for a Sunday brunch as long as you want to be surrounded by 20 and 30 somethings who don't mind notable conversation noise.

The establishment has alot of space, but not alot going on. I asked for a drink e/ blue curcio in it, but they didnt have it. I then asked if they had midori & the answer was no. I finally asked if I could just get a buttery nipple made into a drink....they pretty much made a shot and put it in a small martini glass...NOT what I was looking for, so I informed the bar tender. Instead of taking the drink completely off, I got a 50% reduction on the drink, making it still a waste of $5. I ordered the chipotle chicken finger and they were dry as hell. On a good note he chipotle ranch & regular are both delicious. If I lived here it wouldn't be a place I'd go back to if I was choosing where to go and I would recommend it to my friends, however. If drinking is your think and you like the basics & bear, then this could be you spot.

Had the September burger a Paranormal Pepperjack-tivity burger. Perfection of flavors. Was not happy with the chili I choose as one of my sides. It came warm, and was lacking the important chili spice- cumin. Waitress was knowledgeable and professional. Great place to go for a quick burger.

The food and the service has drastically changed since it reopened after the fire. It was a decent place for brunch, but the last time I was there it took well over an hour to get my food. The waitress stated it was because there were a lot of deliveries. Maybe I would have got it quicker if I had it delivered

Wait staff terrific but don't try to ask for a side salad with your chili. Monday night manager is a moron. You can have a side salad with a dinner. But by itself its not in the menu and I quote the manager "if I sell you one tonight you will want it again next week". Left the waitress a nice tip but the manager need not worry. I won't come back next week

Had great service the few times I've been. Food is always good too and they've got a nice series of drink and food specials. Little cold every time I've been there but it is winter. The high top tables are huge which can make conversations hard but that's only a small portion of the seating

This popular location burned down, but now it's back! Their wed burger night is crazy popular, but they did speed up service by getting rid of Turkey burgers and disallowing DIY burgers during the deal. The patio is popular with couples, families and pets during the season.

Wonderful service but will never buy a salad from here. I got the guilded idk what its called but its red quinoa tomatoes green onion avocado. It was literally 98% quinoa 2 percent everything else. It it literally had 5 bite-size chunks of avocado and maybe 10 chopped up pieces a green onion and 4 tomatoes for 10:50 I would expect a little bit more when it says greens and the picture looks ten times Fuller than what you actually get

Service was excellent. Greatly enjoyed the Smackdown Burger and White Trash Nachos. Originally ordered the Greek fries, but didn't care for them. Our server swapped them out for an order of curly fries with no problem. I didn't catch her name, but she was a peach! Would definitely come back again.

Went for dinner, didn’t finish it so put it a box. When I left I forgot it on the table. My car was across the street but I remember before getting inside. Came back BUT the waitress threw it away already not even in 2 minutes. So rude, couldn’t believe it. I’m a server too and happens all the time; I always wait at least 5 minutes if customers come back. Seriously I’m so pissed, I only crossed the street back and forth.

Get the Leroy Brown...don't question, just do it. You won't be disappointed!!! Absolutely fantastic. The White Trash Nachos were scrumptious and the serving was quite generous. We sat outside and while the food was exceptional, service was slow. Our waitress was very nice and was busy, so I'm guessing it was the bar and kitchen.

Rocks is a great neighborhood spot for beers, burgers, a rather extensive selection of whiskeys, and fries dressed in just about any form you can imagine (my favorites are the curly, buffalo, or Greek). Additionally, they have a rotating burger and sandwich each month which are usually intriguing and you can’t go wrong with the happy hour deals (half off burger Wednesday and wing Thursday to name a couple). They also have outdoor seating which is great during the summer. I would definitely recommend sticking to the bar food scene if eating here though as those are the best items on the menu as you’d probably expect.

I frequent the Rocks in North Center fairly often, so I wanted to check this one out. Cool spot with a decent beer line up. The food was good, and the bartender was nice.

I love the food but the doorman and bar staff leave a bit to be desired. I went on ‘burger night’ (which I didn’t know was a thing) and when I saw the bar was full I asked for a table. The guy at the front door said it would be quite a wait. Then a couple behind me said they had two and he sat them immediately at a two seater table. I understand wanting to optimize seating but one person or two at a two person table is the same thing. They left tables dirty so that a table wasn’t opening for me and then finally a seat at the bar came available. When the bartender asked what I wanted to drink I ordered a club soda and asked for a menu. She gave me a drink menu and walked off. A few minutes later the other bartender asked me what I wanted to drink. Feeling I wouldn’t be served if I didn’t order a drink I asked for a specialty rye whisky. I saw the whiskey on the second shelf and se came back and said they were out. She just couldn’t reach it and didn’t want to ask anyone for help. I ordered the club soda again and finally got one and asked for a food menu. From that point the meal went better but it stuck with me all that happened. I’ll say this is the only time I’ve had a bad experience there but still made me knock it to 3 stars rather than 4 considering it was three different people there that contributed to the evening ending like it did. Made it seem more a mentality than a blip. Hopefully I won’t be banned from coming back.
