Bacon and Beer! What more can you ask for! Located steps from the Diversey Brown Line this local watering hole is a great spot to stop in for a pint, two or three. The staff is very friendly and if you are not sure what you want they can help you find something on tap or in cans/bottles. While they do have vegetarian options this is a carnivore's haven. If you have a group of 6 or more would highly recommend the whole bomb which is 5lbs of bacon, pork sausage and ground beef. (Elastic Waist Band Recommended)

Food was TERRIBLE!! Service was good but we will never go back. Watched this place on a show for Chicago's good food. But was NOT good. My husband and I both got the Bomb sandwich. I couldn't even eat it.. Gross... We also got the appetizer breaded bacon. You cant even taste the bacon. All breading. I'm just so disappointed.

Went here after seeing it on Chicago's Best episode. Typical bar/pub atmosphere with decent food. Tried the Bacon Grenades, Bacon Bomb sandwich, and Bacon BBQ Burger. The Bacon Bomb was a bit dry and had a heavy amount of black pepper flavor. I like black pepper so I didn't mind. The BBQ Bacon Burger was the best. Cooked to a perfect medium rare with a multitude of bacon types. Recommend as a must try once place.

Had a great experience here tasting the multiple types of bacon on the bacon board. In addition there were plenty of good brews to choose from making the experience even better. The staff was very friendly and the service was great, I'm looking forward to going back and bringing friends.

I can honestly say that my visits to Paddy Long’s are the best bacon experiences I’ve ever had. They have a half dozen different types, all cured in-house, and all absolutely delicious. Their beer selection and other menu items complement the bacon perfectly. The staff is excellent and the pub is located just a half block west of a Brown Line stop.

This place was awesome. Very comfortable and casual. Staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar and gad good conversation about bacon and vintage t-shirts. If you've never been, you have to go. Order the grenades, game changers.

Been waiting to go here for a while and was pretty disappointed. Me and a few buddies wanted to try the big bacon bomb for 70 bucks but thankfully did not and went with the bomb sandwich. It was basically a very dry reheated meat loaf. The beef stew was microwaved and absolutely horrible texture and taste wise. My buddies that got burgers were not impressed either. We all got beer and the majority of us felt as if it was a bit watered down. Definitely would not recommend the place.

This is a fun place to go if you have an appetite for bacon. You should be open to the fact that some types are much fattier than others, but overall, the beer and bacon tasting is a great time. I recommend that you go with a group. The service is good and there is a lot to do in the area when you leave the bar.

Albie, our host, did a great job of explaining the relationship between the bacon and beer. Five pairings, great beers and even better bacon. Already planning for next year.

Ordered the bomb, it is basically a giant bacon wrapped meat loaf but it actually tasted good and it comes with a giant basket of fries. Decent selection of beer to choose from. The service was great but had no a/c or it wasn't working or didn't have it on yet but overall a decent bar to go to

Pub food with great beers & bacon tasting. Street parking but I would recommend getting by a train or taking a bus. We always get bacon board. It's pretty good. What makes Paddy an awesome place is the Pilsner Urquell event. Once in a while they will have the Pilsner Urquell night where you get the beers & keep the mugs. The kegs flew in from Prague!

We went around 5:30pm and not many people were in there which was perfect to me. Tried some of the bacon appetizers, the bacon board was phenomenal as well was the appetizer that had a little bit of everything. Food was outstanding! Drinks were perfect as well! Definitely recommend.

We saw Paddy Long's on a dining show and stopped in for fun the last time we were in the city and recently returned during our last visit to try more of the menu. The food is beyond fabulous, especially if you love bacon, and their stock of beer, wine and ciders is a mile long. The staff is fast and upbeat, very welcoming.

Paddy Long’s has the iconic “Bacon Bomb”. But if you don’t have the appetite or friends to share with, get the Bomb sandwich. It’s AMAZING! The bacon sampler is an insanely delicious appetizer. The beer is always an adventure with staple and eclectic brews that will compliment the bacon to a tee.

Drove up from Indiana to try out Patty Long's after seeing it featured on " the United States of Bacon". We took the kids with after calling first to make sure kids could go to the pub. We went on a Monday and we able to get half off on appetizers. The bacon tray was great, but the bacon grenades stole the show. We also had the wings which were better than most wing places. I tried the monster BLT which was a true flavor explosion. I will be going back in a month or two to try out more items. A very nice restaurant and bar.

Worst service ever. The waitress was completely careless. We had to wait forever to be served. She took our order in a super rush, as a consequence our food came different from what we ordered. She was rude and insisted that 'this is how we do it!'. She did not change the burger, this is how you don't do it!

They have a great vibe, great bartenders (see Sam) and a solid beer & food menu. When it's packed it's standing room only, and you're most likely rubbing shoulders with the person behind you, which gets you to want to leave rather quickly. Aside from when it is packed, I really dig this place.

Paddy Longs also hosts a lot of tap takeovers from local breweries, so it’s worth keeping up with what they are doing next. We visited this place last year, and the meatloaf/bacon sandwich was amazing. It was perfectly done. That's why we put it on our list when we came back. However, this time, I think it must have been a left over from the day before, it was very dried it out and the flavor was not the same. In addition, it took a while to come out even though we got there shortly after they opened and we were the only people sitting down, and there were only two people at the bar.

Horrible service. The waitress came to us once and then didn't come back for over 20 minutes, talking to other tables and dropping stuff off at tables near us, then would just bolt back behind the bar before asking if we needed anything. Our drinks were nearly empty and we still hadn't ordered food which is what we came there to do. Finally I went to the bar and asked her politely if she could come over and take our order when she had a minute. She came to our table five minutes later with a horrible attitude and was extremely rude. Then still just dropped stuff off at the table after that and would run away without asking if we needed anything else. The food was not even that great. It was mediocre at best but and not live up to the bacon bar hype. Bad service, mediocre food. Atmosphere was nice, but overall would probably not recommend.

Beer and bacon, yes please. If you havent tried it jowel bacon is the greatest thing ever made. They have a "bomb" sandwich which is simply amazing. Also you can ask for a mystery 3 dollar beer, my buddy got a great Irish ale, I got an ice house.... Still fun.

I went to Paddy Long's with a crew of 5 guys to get the Paddy Bomb. What is it? It's 6lbs of meat wrapped in bacon, served with buns and french fries. We went around 1pm on a Sunday and the place was nearly empty (maybe 2 other tables) which was fine since the waitress/bartender was really nice and attentive anyways. The bomb looked as formidable as it sounds, and while cooked thoroughly, it was a little cold. It was good, in the sense that it's meat and bacon, but at the same time tasted a bit bland without the BBQ sauce. It's definitely a fun thing to do with a crew, but eh wouldn't have to do it again.

Apparently I'm the only person in the world who isn't all that crazy about bacon, but that doesn't stop me from loving Paddy's. This is a great neighborhood bar that's completely unpretentious. If you're in the area, Paddy's should be your go-to bar for a drink with friends. Good food and great beer. What else do you need?

We came in on a Sunday and had the best service from Kristin. She really took care of us. I made a mistake and thought the beer and Bacon pairing was on Sunday but it's on Saturday. She made sure we didn't leave without taking their awesome Bacon. If you want a quick stop through here take the walking Brewery/bar tour. They stopped in and brought the party with them! The bacon was amaze-balls!

Stumbled in while bar hopping in the neighborhood. The staff was great, super friendly, and helpful. We only got appetizers, but they were good. The beer list is FANTASTIC! They had Delirium on tap! A great selection of various types of beer on tap, and a vast and expansive bottle and can list. The staff was knowledgable and helped navigate the beer menu. I will definitely be back.

Great local bar for a drink during the week/happy hour. It's never crowded but there are always people there. It's on the quite side which is by design I think. late twenties early thirties crowd. Solid selection of whiskey. The owner is a very nice guy who takes time on each person he serves.

Bacon boards and beer, bacon wrapped dates (6 for $12 is too little guys how about 12/$12) and bacon granades were fantastic. And no TVs on all night long, perfect. Rob, great service man. Love Paddy Long's! The food is great and it is never too loud. I was a little upset last that they forgot my order when they brought out the food to our table. They totally made up for it though by not charging me for my sandwich. I will definitely be back!

Terrible service, badly balanced menu, outdated beer list, clueless server and sub-par food. We ordered the bacon board, which was alright for the price. The blt wasn't anything special. The signature salad I ordered was undressed and had almost no bacon or vegetables aside from the lettuce and parsley on the plate. I tried to give the server the benefit of the doubt as he was running bar and dining room, but his attitude and inability to even stroll by to check on our table is inexcusable (especially since it wasn't busy at all while we were there).

Bacon, beer and rum. A great experience at a Mom and Pop feeling kind of joint. The bacon bombs were amazing and the Founders Breakfast Stout was a perfect match for it. Not a bad place for a beer and some grub. The bacon assortment is great but all the bacon dishes I sampled were bland. Aside from the bacon, every dish tasted like it needed a pinch of salt. Staff were seemingly annoyed by our visit. Beer list is great but what made everything just "eh" was the staff.

One of my favorite spots. Solid draft list with amazing specials. Frequently features limited run barrels from international brewers. Boasts a truly impressive whiskey selection in a part of town rife with good whiskey bars. The food is, obviously, very heavy on bacon, and British and Irish inspired, but this is bacon with dignity. Get the bacon board. You never knew there were so many ways of doing bacon.
