Omega in Niles, IL is an excellent family style restaurant that does everything right. Their menu is varied and wide ranging. In the mood for a burger? No problem! There's 10 to choose from, and I count at least 50 other sandwiches on the menu. There's also a large selection of pastas, steaks, seafood, bbq, and my favorite, Grecian entrees. Their breakfast menu is a bit smaller than their main menu but not by much. Choose from pancakes, lox and bagel, skillet entrees, biscuits and gravy, french toast, crepes, etc. Earlier today I ordered the Waffle Split, which is a waffle topped with a banana split. It's as delicious as it sounds. My very friendly waiter suggested I take a picture - glad I did bc now I'm sharing it with you.

The food is really good and the servers are always walking around asking if u need anything or if everything is up to ur standards of how u like ur food. I couldn’t bring myself to only give one star because I normally enjoy the food. I have been going to Omega for years and I always receive warm and swift service. Today I ordered steak and eggs and did not get steak. Instead I got hamburger meat in the shape of a steak. I was too shocked and quite honestly too hungry to say anything to the waitress. It’s upsetting that they think a customer will not notice! I likely won’t be back and will no longer recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to Omega for years, with no complaints. Unfortunately, my last 2 visits have been not so good. Most of the time I order their Rubin sandwich, which has always been above average. The last 2 times it has been below average, the corned beef is tough and tasteless. Not like many previous visits. Maybe they are using a new vendor? I suggest they go back to the original vendor. Disappointed .

I love going to the Omega Family Restaurant. This place serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The establishment is open 24 hours and is definately family style. The environment is mostly calm and is quite nice and clean inside. Also, the food is very good, and the meals can be very filling, especially if you upgrade to full dinners. The full dinners include a dish, potato, salad, soup, bread basket, tea/coffee, and a dessert. That brings me to my next point. Omega has an amazing bakery with dozens of dessert choices after your meal. Also, new to the restaurant are slot machines, if that's something you guys are interested in. So, if you're looking for a family style restaurantnopen 24 hours that serves great and abundant food, you should definately dine here.

The food and service is always great. I just came to pick up a couple things. The 2 complaints I have are, the bread was not very fresh and the manner in the way I was told the cost at the register. I am not sure why it was so off putting to me , it just was. I would still go back when I am in the area.

Great breakfast spot! They start you off with a baked item ours was a muffin of sorts with a strawberry glaze and icing. Skillets were great and plenty to split between two people. I also got a blueberry muffin which was huge and amazing! Service wasn't the best which is why only 4 stars but definitely a great place to eat.

Pretty decent diner! Food was good for diner food. We had the gyros and Greek salad. I wasn’t a huge fan of the feta (didn’t have that signature feta taste) or the anchovies but it was still tasty. The gyros was also good. They have an impressive array of bakery sweets. It’s a very nice looking diner and the service was outstanding. Robust menu as well. Try them out!

I go there at 2 or 3 in morning when I can't sleep so I can be in a well lit restaurant to be feel safe and eat. They have a great variety of dishes from a Russian Ruben sandwich and the Godfather sandwich. I usually get to have left overs. I feel accepted there at that time because there usually aren't many other patrons. I can get to talk to the wait staff and host and they are friendly to me.

Good service, okay food. I was not impressed with the Gyro sandwich I ordered. The meat was fairly bland and didn't have the flavor I was expecting, especially since they cook them on a spit in house. My wife's ruben sandwich was much more flavorful and she really enjoyed it. Maybe they were having an off day. Didn't get dessert, but the showcase looked impressive with a variety of cakes, pastries and cookies on display. Definitely worth a try

What impressed me more than the food was the discounts for senior citizens throughout the day for senior citizens, until 11 am for breakfast and 2 to 5 pm for lunch/dinner. This will be my preferred restaurant in the area.

Their prices are on the high side. We had a half tuna sandwich, which came with a bowl of soup and some salad on the plate with the half sandwich. It was $14.99 + $1.00 since it is a special for lunch and it was dinner time. The tuna was very bland, it could use some sweet relish in it to perk it up a bit. If I were to comprehend another restaurant to this, I would have to say The Continental Restaurant in Buffalo Grove is much better for the same type of food. Prices are also better.

My guest and I went the graveyard shift, lots of parking available, the place doesnt look like much outside, but the inside is inviting. you are greeted by a host and a large display of desserts and pastries. Large diner with tables and booths, and lots of them. They have a huge menu, a huge bread basket, and even though what i wanted wasn't available our server said he would get it made. wasn't long at all for us to receive our food. veggie skillet with potatoes and My guest bagel and lox. Food was good, fresh, but now my guest was ready for dessert, he had to grab 2.

Great place, they have a huge variety of meals and do everything really well. I had the Chicken Parmesan - it was very good. However, I did feel there was excessive butter on the chicken. Omega has an amazing menu I mean huge it's overwhelming how big it is. It's a good idea to go in with an idea of what you want to eat that day. Omega has daily specials including soups. It's a bit dark inside. It can get crowded. They do offer a senior special for breakfast and an early dinner. You can order alcoholic beverages. They have a huge desert display there that you can either order for dessert or package it up and take it home. The food is good! Reasonably price you get a lot for your money. It's probably why it's very popular.

My favorite 24 hour spot in the area. I go here fairly regularly, the food is always good, portions and prices are fair. Servers are on point most of the time. I'd say all the time but my last visit's server was sub-par from what I've come to expect.

Went for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but not crowded. I was seated right away and a basket of bread was immediately brought to my table. The waiter asked if I was waiting for anyone else, when I replied that yes, he calmly said take your time and let me know if I can get anything for you while you wait. Very classy service. The food was good, the atmosphere was better! The restaurant is very well organized. I was impressed with the uniform way that all the waiters are accommodating to the guests.

A good place to eat any meal and you won't go away hungry. Omega has a massive menu, so everyone should be able to find something to eat and the portions are substantial. They also have a huge desert cooler with many people just coming in to satisfy their sweet tooth. With a number of daily specials and daily soups, this is a great place to go when you aren't sure where you want to go or get that answer of "I don't know, what do you want?"

Terrible!!! I bought the Jillian salad and they put shredded cheddar cheese on top of the salad. It made me sick to my stomach. The vegetables were crunchy and seamed fresh but I had the runs for the next two days....I suspect it was the cheddar. Never had I've been served a Julian Salad with cheddar cheese on top.... Never going back there again!
