We were here for a romantic date night. Staff was friendly and attentive. Service was quick. Food tasted excellent. Food decoration was eye-catching. It was pricey but reasonable for the food quality and customer service we received. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We always seem to get the server that doesn't like to talk. The other servers would tell the diners they were serving about the courses beyond just the ingredients. The food & presentation is always stellar. No complaints or suggestions to make. We had a $79 travelzoo voucher for a chef's five course menu. Can't beat the price. The drinks are expensive. Two cocktails ($16 each) & a coffee plus taxes & the mandatory 18% gratuity brought the total we paid $94. Even at $173, it was definitely worth it & we will go back.

Wonderful food and exquisite service. Appropriately priced for this kind of experience. I am afraid that people looking for a Groupon experience will be disappointed. It is quite proper that an 18 percent gratuity be added BEFORE the Groupon discount is deducted. Why should the staff be punished! So if you are looking for something special... This is the place. If you are expecting a bargain, you may not find it here.

My wife and I came to Oceanique during Restaurant Week 2019. Their specialty is French and American Cuisine. The food was great. We dined on their fixed dinner menu of various fish dishes. The place is very warm and inviting. The service was excellent. Parking is not a problem. Lots of street parking available or you can valet your car. The restaurant is a little pricey outside of Restaurant Week 2019, but it is well worth it. This is a place where you want to celebrate a special event in your life with that special someone. Enjoy!

Oceanique at Maine street Evanston, we have a great dinner, service, decor, food all excellent, thank you so much entire team for hospitality. Best wine menu I ever seen, they everything that I like. We choose 5 courses chief dinner which normally cost 80$ per person, but we get amazing Groupon deal and pay almost 50% off of our check.

Had an enjoyable 5 course set meal. As the name implies, their specialty is seafood. Had the ocean trout as the entrée and it was prepared very well. It was silky smooth and the sauce was a great pairing. The service was nice but not above average for the price point. It is a nice conformable restaurant that is worth trying.

A little hidden gem in Evanston and a great date-night fine dining spot. We were there several weeks ago and had a wonderful multi-course experience, returned tonight for the Wednesday night lobster special (weekly). Several unexpected (and free) small bites from the kitchen before and after our salad, including a pallet cleanser prior to the main course made for a perfect, appropriately paced and enjoyable dining experience. The lobster was prepared and paired perfectly.

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! We went there for our anniversary during a travelzoo promotion and this may be our new spot for special meals. It definitely isn't a place we could afford to be regulars but the food was absolutely worth every penny we paid. We had a five course meal and each course was superb. We ordered different choices and were able to sample a good portion of the menu and were not disappointed with anything we chose. The wait staff were exceptionally friendly. I would recommend going on a Monday/Tuesday when it isn't as busy and you will get a lot of attention from them. We will definitely be back!

24+ years of patronage. Even with an hour drive all "special" meals are dined there. Mark creates tasty seafood focused meals in a hip/romantic atmosphere. Superior wine list.

We were here with friends and we had a 5 course prix fixe menu. Everything was beautifully presented, very fresh and very tastey. Service was attentive. They had no problem adjusting for a food sensitivity in a manner that did not impact the meal.

My god! This place was just beautiful and the food was excellent. I tipped the waitress a 50 because she had been the best server I have ever had. A year later, we again had the same great dining experience. The halibut and bouillabaisse were both excellent, and the sommelier who is also the bartender picked a reasonably priced California pinot that paired very well with both. The atmosphere is just neighborly and friendly, and you can chat with your dinner partner quite easily without any need to shout. This is just a fun place to go.

Recent visit this month was exceptional. High quality food and really fantastic high level chef preparations. Oceanique has been a little hit or miss over the years for service and its price points but on our recent visit it was definitely firing on all cylinders. We’ll be back!

Fabulous seafood,well,presented but definitely at the top end of the budget range.We had the 5 course set taster menu and each course was excellent.I dropped a star because the service was way to quick,we had barley finished one course before the next arrived ,this is not what you expect at this price point,probably just a staff training requirement

My wife and I had rhe 5 course Groupon dinner which was ok. We ordered 3 glasses of chardonnay and were shocked when we got the bill for $20 a glass. We eat out often and at many fine restaurants and usualy have wines by the glass at an average of $10 a glass. We will not dine at this place again.

The food was good but overpriced but what really ruined my experience here was the restaurant refusing to honor a gift card which was the only reason we even came in the first place. The gift card clearly stated that we would receive $50 if we ordered $100 worth of food/drink. We ordered over $130 worth but the server insisted that the food was already discounted so the gift certificate could not be used. The gift certificate said nothing of this in any fine print but it was refused nonetheless. I objected and asked for a manager but the server took my card which was lying on the table and charged my card without my consent. This restaurant is devoid of morality. I've never felt so cheated while dining.
