Breakfast is amazing here. It is fresh and very delicious. Worth the drive from downtown.
Great spot for brunch! We have been coming here for the past 6 months since we moved to the area.. everything is delicious but two of my favorites are the cinnamon roll french toast and the bread pudding! Every now and then gets crowded after 11 but tables move quick so wait is usually no longer than 30-40min.. definitely worth it!!
absolutely delicious! had breakfast here with my boyfriend, and we both finished all of our food. i would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!
Amazing! Probably one of my favorite places to eat. Everything we tried was delicious. All all the French toast is fantastic, the maple butter is delicious, and chicken & waffles are one of the best I've ever had. Get there early if you don't want to wait because this place gets busier every week.
Excellent service, excellent food and excellent people.
Great service! And the food was 100! I had the lemon and raspberry French toast 5 stars!
Perfect place for breakfast and brunch. Nice decor, friendly service and good food, definitely worth recommending!
Great food, very nice quality, appropriate portions. Long lines, long wait, but staff were nice and we were able to wait indoors. For the money, this isn't a single dollar sign yelp value, it's more line 2 to 2.5 dollar signs. I've had as good and more food for the same money. We were originally going to Pauline's that day and wanted to try something different, and the yelp reviews were good. I might go back if in the area and hungry but I probably wouldn't go out of my way.
I'm obsessed with M. Henry! It's my go-to breakfast place when I have visitors in town. Great atmosphere and decor. Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful and amazing food!
Japanese souffle pancakes were so good!!
French toast was very dry. Potatoes were good.
Food was alright. It took a long time for the food to get ready after we made our orders though.
Great place, great food. I love the rustic peasant quiche so much that I buy a half quiche to take home and eat it several days a week.
Creative menu. Great salads and best turkey burger ever. Sunday breakfast menu is terrific. Renowned for the blackberry bliss cakes.
Always has a tasty vegetarian option
Our favorite breakfast in the city! Great food, comfy atmosphere, and friendly staff!
A great breakfast/brunch restaurant with a diverse menu. Every item on their menu that I've tried has been well created, and tasty! The ambience is splendid, and the service is good.
10/10 everything!
Fantastic food, wonderful service.
Wonderful selection of fresh desserts and fresh ingredients. The menu was somewhat small, but the food was delicious. The items on the menu aren't exactly things I would regularly order, and the wait to order was somewhat long. However, overall great restaurant, service, and food.
Excellent breakfast! My friend loved his pancakes so much I bought their mix and they are great to make at home as well!
This place is just wonderful. I took my mom here for brunch on Mother's day and was glad I made a reservation. It fills up fast! But the food is so good. The only downside is is not open for later meals so it gets crowded and is not a very quiet place to enjoy conversation. It is definitely more for the food experience.
This is probably my favorite breakfast/brunch in all of Chicago. They have fantastic food, a menue that changes seasonally, and several Vegan/Vegitarian friendly options.
Great brunch, the veggies and fruits always fresh
There is usually a wait, but service is quick and the food is amazing. Saturday and Sunday brunch have different menus. Plate presentation and serving side is enough to fill you and then some! Also a great bakery attached. While you're waiting to be seated you are able to get coffee and a treat! One the consistently great breakfast restaurants in the city.
Great costumer service, friendly, great food. Definitely going back.
A wonderful spot for a Sunday breakfast in the Anderson neighborhood of Chicago. Great congenial service. Try the baked goods, yum!
One of the best places for breakfast in Chicago!
We love this place! Beautiful breakfast!
I had the breakfast sandwich. It was very good. I also had a side of fruit which was really fresh and none of that cheap melon filler.
Nice place. Feels quaint and "homey." Menu isn't huge but it looks like the things they have, they do well. The cinnamon bun french toast was huge!
One of my favorite brunch places in Chicago. We used to live down the street so coming here brings good memories back. Their Latina Omelette is still a favorite!
Great options for vegans! The Latino comfort was excellent
Best breakfast in Andersonville.
Best brunch, even cold hours later as a snack!
Amazing food and service! Gluten free menu available, highly recommend!
Super cute cafe, with a great breakfast selection at a reasonable price. This isn't your destination for a blow-your-mind brunch, nor is it a foodie destination. But sometimes you just want eggs and toast and don't want to max out your credit card doing it. Service was great -- the man behind the counter seemed to know the regulars, and accommodated my special requests graciously. Will definitely be back!
Most amazing breakfast ever!!!
I had just read on other reviews how good the cibamonc roll French toast are and I was still blown away. So insanely delicious, way beyond my very high expectations!! Will come back for sure!!
I had the cinnamon roll french toast and it was great!
Great little spot in Andersonville. Small menu big flavor. Not a diner style menu. Modern menu.
Fresh and delicious
Of course this place is great, I'm the baker! :)
Great service. Solid breakfast. Nothing insane but solid overall.
Inventive menu, and super fast service. Def a new fav.
The bread pudding. The atmosphere. So fast. So personable. Please eat here. You will not be disappointed. Everything on the smallish menu is a great choice. BYOB.
Always an amazing meal. My family and I come here a lot, and we always leave happy. Favorite breakfast in Chicago by far.
Amazing salads! And the Japanese souffle simply spectaculars
Definitely have the baguettes. Many baguettes. And veggie sausage
Don't bother if your group is more than 2. I've had good breakfasts here in the past but recently stopped by as a group of 3. Got there early knowing weekend brunch but still ended up waiting an hour and a half to be seated. Apparently there are only a couple tables that can seat more than 2, but nobody told us that or would even gives updates while we waited.
Great vibe and yummy pastries.
This place is fantastic the vibe is phenomenal, the food is great! Its worth the wait! The food always tastes fresh, on the weekends it gets packed so be there early and get yourself a table! Waiting time is around 45 mins when its packed and you have to sign your name and wait to get called. Inside gets a little noisy but the place is great overall!
Great breakfast joint. Lots of seating for bigger parties. And the food is great. Pastries look amazing but I didn't have a chance to try them. That said, it's a great neighborhood brunch joint and highly recommend it!
Honestly, the food was mediocre. The hype is mostly from the decor of the interior and the look of the entree’s. Coffee tasted sour and salty. Overall, good place to go once. Probably won’t come back for seconds just because it gets dull. Not worth the price tag.
High quality, healthy food. Portions are a normal amount which could be a good thing or bad thing depending on appetite
I don’t really like ordering pancakes/waffles at brunch spots, because it’s hard for me to justify the expense when I know the cost of making them is fractioned to the charge. But holy mother of god is m.Henry is an exception. A reliable source told me they use magic powder in the batter, and I personally suspect they sprinkle crack on top. Because they are absurd. Brace yourself for the first couple of bites, you’ll be disoriented by how damn scrumptious they are. You’ll hear yourself becoming bad company because all you’ll say for five minutes is “I know I already said these were delicious...but man, they are so good..”
Worth the trip, food was excellent and the staff was outstanding. I will tell friends about this place for breakfast and lunch.
Limited street paid parking. There is a long waiting time. The place is very cozy! The food is about average.
It was a comfortable atmosphere. I was really looking forward to something special, but it wasn't as good an impression as I expected. The food was creative, but the taste was mediocre. Service wa good!
Really good breakfast/brunch place. Very nice menu selections which will appeal to almost everyone. I recommend the Blackberry Bliss Cakes for a flavorful and only slightly sweet option.
Wow! Delicious food, and a great value for the price. Try and enjoy.
Wow wow wow wow! Worth the wait in line! Super friendly staff! Line does move fairly fast for how small the place is! The monte cristo is to die for!
Great food parking cam be tough
The food was fine. Service was good. Coffee not great. A side of bacon was $4 - it was 3 small thin slices...
Great food and great staff. Place is crowded sometimes and they still find a way to give great service.
This place reminds me of home, the food and atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The food is very well prepared and all of it was super fresh. There's a Sunday specific brunch menu that is to die for. The service was great and the server were so nice and accommodating.
The food was absolutely delicious and amazing. Definitely recommend coming here. Try to be there around 10:30-11 during weekend as it gets really busy during brunch.
So so so so good! Their patio is amazing! Their food is outstanding! I love it.
One of my favorite places to get brunch at in the city. Pleasant servers, delicious food, presentation of food is on point, and great indoor and outdoor space.
Very good service, they have a vegan breakfast dish and they have soy and almond milk available.
Has a few vegetarian options. Food was delicious esp the frittata. Corn bread wasn’t that great.
The food was phenomenal. We had the Latina Comfort Plate, the fontina omelette (I forgot the name), the raspberry lemon curd French toast and a vegan alternative. I tried them all and all were delicious. There was a wait to get in, which is OK, but not a great space for waiting. I waited for 15 minutes at the bakery to get a cup of coffee while we waited for our table, to no avail. The service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. The decor was pretty cool too. And we loved that it was BYOB. We brought some prosecco and ordered a carafe of orange juice. Definitely would go back!
Best brunch I've had in years. Super fresh, colorful presentation, and reasonably priced. I don't live in Chicago, but would travel for this brunch.
Great food, especially breakfast!
Food was very good and they have a decent number of options for vegan / GF needs. Service was nice however we went at peak brunch time on a Sunday and it took a long time for food to come out. When it did arrive it was lovely though! Definitely will go back!
The best breakfast! Pancakes with fruit - a work of art. Prosciutto with asparagus Benedict taste exemplary! Bread pudding with fresh blackberries and peaches super yummy!! Highly recommend. We will be back.
Very good food. Reasonable prices and good service
Byob got my attention. Great pastries and brunch. Pie was my favorite. Depending on time, will probably be a wait but large venue.
Good food service was okay
I was very disappointed in this establishment they first told us it would be a 20 minutes wait and it was closer to 40 minutes which would have been fine if they would have communicated that with us. Secondly, my daughter found a hair in her potatoes and never an apology by the management or anything, that was so unsanitary. Thirdly, while my party were still eating a waiter proceeds to pick up plates which is fine but reaching in front of me dropping utensils once again no apology or acknowledgment. I would never come here again or advise anyone to do so. Lastly it’s BYOB.
Restaurant in Anderson with a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I ordered the cornucopia salad with salmon. Best salad I’ve ever had. The restaurant cozy, with homey decorations. Staff was very friendly!
It's good but not two hour wait good.
great BYOB so you dont go BROKE.
I really liked latina omelet and quiche, dessert options are pretty good too
Delicious food! Great breakfast.
Best french toast in Chi. Never failed me
This a five star restaurant a great place for breakfast and that know it.
I forgot how delicious this place is. Blisscakes are fantastic!!
Pretty good place for brunch. A lot of options for any taste! Great salads!
Amazing fresh food, friendly service, cool decor. Expect a wait though!
Very good food!!!
The brunch fare is delicious, including their unique spins on pancakes and French toast. The waitstaff is pretty attentive, even when busy. The only minus is how loud it can be when the restaurant has a lot of customers--it was kind of hard to hear the people at my own table.
Favorite breakfast/lunch place on the north side. Been coming here for 8 years and never ceases to make me salivate! The latina omelette and vegan epiphany are my favs. Im pretty sure the cinnamon roll french toast is actually ranked best breakfast dishes in the nation
Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Just Sayin'!
Loved the salmon lunch dishes, and the kid's menu. Service was outstanding. I just hoped that the bread in the sandwich next time isn't overly sauced, as it was a bit soggy on one side, and could be messy if you are dressed-up in a nice shirt.
Been there so many times. Everytime food is excellent. Love this place for breakfast or brunch.
Great spot for a well thought out, well put together meal. Had breakfast/brunch and it was spot on. Health conscious without sacrificing delivery.
Pretty solid brunch, but maybe not quite as good as reviews have hyped it up to be. I had the Latina comfort while my girlfriend had the black bean cakes. Both were very tasty with high quality ingredients. I thought my portion size was a little small, however. We also split their berry blisscakes which were my personal favorite: light and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. Their menu is definitely more health conscious, so don't expect any items that are too heavy on meat or grease. Overall considering that it was on the pricier side, I probably wouldn't return.
The food was absolutely fantastic! We loved everything that we ordered. The waiter was very friendly and the space is very welcoming. I'll definitely be returning.
I wasn't at m henry you idiots
My gf and I come here often. We will split an entré and an order of the Blisscakes (so good, not too sweet). Good vegetarian/vegan options and bakery.
Service was great. Friendly and polite staff! The food was delicious my friends and I enjoyed the morning there.
Lovely place. Great service. Great brunch.
Love this neighborhood Eatery! Had such a wonderful time just kicking back and enjoying the fabulous food and catching up with my grandson during my recent visit. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good, healthy food! Great menu!
This place is warm, friendly and serves incredible sweets dishes and great Metropolis coffee. The savory dishes are better than average but I think it is the sweet dishes that are exceptional, from the pies to specialty pancakes, the sweets should not be skipped. We always get something for the table to share after the mains. For breakfast I really enjoy the egg sandwich, it's simple and very well done.
Cute little cafe with great food and service
Delicious place for brunch
Found this gem of a restaurant around the corner from our rental! Lovely outdoor location excellent service and delicious food!
Cozy brunch spot packed all days of the week
Yummy coffee and sweets!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Great food with large portions. Most options we had could probably be split with another person if you aren't real hungry. The one exception might be the egg dishes. Definitely check it out though!
I lived in Chicago forever and have always heard about this place, but had never tried it--mainly because the wait is too long on weekends. It's very popular. Now I know why. I went on a weekday and there was no wait. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. You should check it out!
Great food, atmosphere, coffee & the impeccable food presentation. A gem in the Andersonville neighborhood. Be prepared for a wait. especially if you have a large party. unfortunately the food isn't exclusive to m. henry. it's a wonder how a spot in North Park is able to have an almost identical menu & presentation with no affiliation.
Delicious! Great presentation. Attentive service.
Best brunch in the city - worth the wait. We went on mother's day and it was divine!
Went in for breakfast since it popped up as suggestions on the Maps and loved the place. Portion sizes were huge and food was tasty. We had the Latina omelette and Lemon Raspberry French toast, was super full till evening after that.
Family friendly local neighborhood restaurant. Prices are good for the neighborhood and the staff is always very nice. Food is served quickly and the quality is consistent.
Definitely worthy of all the good praise the restaurant recieves.
Awesome brunch spot. Food was fantastic, loved the atmosphere. Service was great. Great location too.
Best breakfast ever!!! The restaurant was so cute! We ordered our food (which was amazing) and about 45 seconds later, our food came! They even charged our cell phone. Definitely 5 stars
This place can get busy, but I am always surprised it’s not busier based on how tasty it is. Hands down the best brunch spot for taste and value.
Great food, atmosphere and service.
HOLY GUACAMOLE. I had the Blackberry Bliss Pancakes, and MAN were they incredibly divine. You cannot go wrong ordering these. The granola on top is amazing. I don't even know how they do it. They just look like regular oats, but they're magic. They're the perfect amount of crunchy and sweet. There were two layers of pancakes, and the bottom one had blackberries in it. GENIUS. So good. I would feel bad not finishing it (but I did with a little help). It is a lot, so if you shared that would make sense. BUT it's so good that you probably wouldn't want to share. ALSO the fried egg sandwich is good. The staff is really friendly, and they definitely pay attention to you. However, I was here very early in the morning when there weren't loads of people, so I don't know how much that attributed to their attentiveness. DEFINITELY COME HERE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING IT!!!
Lovely place for breakfast and brunch. Menu changes to nice seasonal ingredients but also keeps favourites. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is cozy.
Great little place with nice atmosphere. Unique dishes with beautiful presentation and complexity of flavor. I enjoyed everything.
My favorite brunch spot
This brunch was phenomenal. My friend got me to try their bread pudding which I'm usually not a fan of, but their fresh fruit really added the right touch. I'm going back to try more of their bakery stuff, it looks delish
A good place. Very original in the elaboration of the dishes. With a colorful and tasty combination of flavors (I had a mixture of chile poblano, chipotle, corn tortilla, eggs, rice, beans, plantains...), and a nice environment. But the rice could be better prepared. Thus, 4 stars.
Great food and very nice and helpful staff definitely and an amazing breakfast spot with actually good coffee
Very good service! So many choices ! Everything looked great! Food was amazing ! Came quick and was delicious! Thank you!!!
A stellar brunch location in north Chicago. Reminded me of the Bucktown/Wicker Park area and the food offerings are exquisite. A little loud for my liking, but with how packed the place is for brunch, it speaks volumes about the quality.
always the best weekend brunch, especially that bread pudding!! (only available on the weekends)
We come here fairly regularly and have never been disappointed. Tasty breakfast food and generous coffee refills.
Delicious breakfast and brunch food. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Last time I had blueberry mango pancakes with honey baked oats on top. There is usually a line on weekends. They will put you on the list, but wont seat unless the whole party is there. Worth the wait though.
Omg the fruit bread pudding is a must. So delicious!
Probably one of the best breakfasts I've had outside of California. The Benedicts looked amazing and they had plenty of types to try. I chose the breakfast sandwich which was equally as beautiful to look at as it was to eat. SO BIG though, so I could only finish half - easily splittable. The wait can be lengthy depending on party size and the fact that there is always a line. I'd say grab a coffee (in a mug of course) and maybe even a pastry if you can't wait without eating and give your legs a rest while enjoying the beauty that is outside. You wont regret waiting.
Amazing breakfast!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Food was delicious and was prepared beautifully.
If you love brunch, you will absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and there are options for everyone! The pancakes are fluffy and amazing. The breakfast potatoes are to die for! I definitely will be going back here very often. My new favorite brunch spot!
The food was good even though it was a bit over prices for what you receive. Our server was very polite and helpful.
A great place to have breakfast or lunch. A very diverse and creative menu that will tempt your taste buds. The prices are in line for the size of the serving. My only complaint is the coffee. I didn't much care for it, but my wife liked it, so we'll call it a draw and hardly a reason for not going. Very friendly staff. Gets busy on the weekends, so I'd recommend a week day, if possible. Also, it is closed one of the week days, so check their website.
The food was extremely good! Natural and healthy!
Best breakfast & lunch on the north side of Chicago
Long lines but definitely worth the wait. Staff is great and the pancakes were very delicious.
The omelette and French toast were so damn tasty. Very gourmet with elegant and well balanced ingredients. Our server, whom I wish I remembered his name, was incredibly nice and attentive. The place is cozy, artsy, and warm. The coffee was pretty damn good too. They have a bakery up front but I didn't get anything there. I'll definitely be going here for breakfast again soon.
Fantastic vegan breakfast. strongly recommend the potatoes and the tempeh. Very kind staff.
The food is Good and Plenty, wonderful home baked cakes, cookies & breads, and if you have children the whole staff cater to them. Don't take my Word, Check it out!
The food is excellent the baked goods or even better. Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch although it gets crowded rather quickly. It's easy to miss in the busy neighborhood so keep an eye out.
Everything was amazing. Soy chorizo tasted just like regular. Suggest always doing it family style. Too much food that's too good not to.
I absolutely loved the presentation of my food. The prosciutto & asparagus Benedict was the special for the day, I requested Turkey sausage instead of prosciutto and it was delicious. The day was beautiful to sit in the garden section of the restaurant. I also ordered a half serving of the BlackBerry pancake with mascarpone cream to try since the bread pudding was not available during the week. I loved everything about the restaurant that I will be back on the weekend to try the bread pudding with friends. Parking is tricky in the area, but well worth the time finding a parking spot.
Had a great breakfast, and one of the best cups of coffee I've had... Ever.... Seriously it's a great place!
Tasty, but go on a weekday
Always a good place to eat. Good food and great service. Pastries are delicious and large selection to choose from.
Nice Place
Really lovely brunch/lunch restaurant in Andersonville. Food is always colorful and tasty. They have a lot of space and a back patio during warmer months.
Super fast, super tasty, great prices, great vibe and atmosphere
Came here because I saw the food network raked it as #1 for brunch location in the U.S and we were not disappointed! We had the drunken eggs and the cinnamon French toast. Both were amazing! Highly recommend trying either one. It's definitly a great place for a family breakfast.
Happy times! Open for breakfast and lunch all day until 2:30 closing. Lots of space, flavorful menu selections including specials. Great service! I love the Latin omelette, which is spicy but not too much. Served with potatoes and plantains. Salads are great, too! One of my favorites for midday meetups with friends.
