My first time going there and the food was wonderful but a little pricey for me for the amount of food I ordered but it was my Birthday and my daughter wanted to take me there. I had to keep calling the waitress over because she never came to check on our table. I would go back for an special occasion. I just love my steak!!

Food was well prepared and staff was attentive. Good knowledge of the wine they serve and staff was able to discuss intelligently about my selection. Several folks stopped by during the course of the meal to ensure everything was perfect. Great spot to eat.

Went here for lunch with my coworkers, but was very unimpressed. I was on a very strict diet which can always be a pain eating out, so I went for the simply prepared fish and the server couldn't even provide me a single option of what fish were available. I had to sift through the menu to see what fish they use in other meals to see what kind of options I had. Server was extremely slow and obviously had no interest in maintaining a higher expected ambience, given the class of restaurant this should be. Most fresh fish places would offer a menu of "today's catch" with market prices, etc... but we couldn't even get that. Also, we ended up waiting over 40 minutes to get our meals after the soup came out when there were only 2 other tables seated in the whole place. Makes sense why I have never heard anything good about this place. Would not bother going here, especially when there are so many better options like catch 35 nearby. 42 bucks for a plain ~8oz sea bass really grinded me the wrong way.

The food was good. Large portion for lunch which I couldn't eat all of. Our server was very attentive. We had 7 in our group so it took a bit for our food to come out. I enjoy the atmosphere it was a good choice for lunch and conbersation.

Best happy hour I've ever been to. If I lived around the corner, I'd be at it every day. Somehow it's lively but chill, and I'm not a big spender but the staff were exceptionally attentive. Also, the food is Applebee's prices for waaaaay better stuff (in some cases it's cheaper). I don't know how they do it financially, but I hope they find a way to keep it up.

This location has the worst service imaginable. The restaurant was not overly crowded but there were people waiting for table that were clearly open. Once seated the waitress took a drink and bread order and 20 minutes later hadn’t come back. We couldn’t even find her to flag her down so we just left. The cost of the food here definitely demands better service. Would never go back.

We went in with a reservation. The hostess was kind but said there would be a 20 mins wait. We waited patiently. Crazy we had to wait so long for a reservation, but whatever. Then we’re sat and it was 10-15 mins longer and no one came to greet us or take our drink order or say “I’ll be right with you”. For a “fine dining” experience this was the worst most unorganized place I’ve been to! I do not recommend and would never come back to this restaurant. Poor experience. Very upset we waisted 45 mins of our dining experience. Not my idea of “fine dining”. Try Eddie V’s or Ruth’s Chris instead! Much much nicer. Even Fleming’s is a step in the better higher class direction! I would even recommend outback or lone star. Lol they at least seat you promptly and get a waiter to you faster and more promptly. Wink

Their menu is becoming less and less expansive, with more of the overall offerings being seafood based. That's unfortunate when you're with a group of friends, some of whom love fish and others who hate it. But the lobster bisque is delicious every time, and I've never had bad service here.

Pretty disappointed that you could not order from the bar menu in the dining room. It was especially frustrating when the bar was full and you couldn't order off of the bar menu in regular dining room. If it was regular dining hours, I would expect it. But it was a natural, normal happy hour..

My boyfriend made a reservation here to surprise me for my birthday. With the reservation made WEEKS in advanced, we waited an HOUR to be seated. Despite the God-awful wait time, we were patient and proceeded to sit. After having to flag down our waiter (because he'd walked passed us THRICE), I decided to place our drink and appetizer order all at once to move things along. 17 minutes later, and not even a drink. At this point, my boyfriend was fed up. We left without so much as a drink. No apologies, barely a smile from the waiter. Absolutely terrible.

My fiance and I and came here last night for our 3rd anniversary and all I can't say enough good things about not only this restaurant and it's food, but also the staff. Our server, Diego, was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was packed (not an open table) Diego somehow made it seem like we were his only table, always coming at the perfect time. The star of the night for me was the young man who booked our reservation. Once he found out why I was booking, he pulled out all the stops, even providing us personalized menus to bring home. I wish I would have written his name down! Thank you to all of the staff/servers working 3/22/19 at 6:15pm, you all helped make memories my fiance & I will have forever!

My review keeps deleting, let me try this again. 1. Brian you were amazing and attentive. 2. My meal was delivered to another person who I watched cut into my steak. Minutes later my meal was given to me. I informed the server that I just saw what happened and he stated that the patron did not touch my steak. Mind you I just saw her cut into my steak. REALLY!!!!!! 3. I informed Brian and he had the chef fire a new meal. 4. The head of house apologized for the mix up and offered to buy me a drink. In my opinion she should have covered the meal. By the way...the re-fired steak was the wrong temperature. I have a feeling it was the original steak! 5. The patron who received my meal picked up my check before I even had a chance to look at the bill...WOW. YOU DIDN'T NEED TO DO THAT. THE RESTAURANT SHOULD HAVE. YOU ARE AMAZING AND I APPRECIATE THAT YOU SAW THE WRONG DOING AND TOOK IT UPON YOURSELF TO CORRECT!!!! 6. I was sitting next to someone from the company who was evaluating my servers performance. HELLO...I CAN HEAR EVER WORD YOU ARE SAYING...LOWER YOUR VOICE OR SIT IN THE BACK OF THE RESTAURANT!!!!BY THE WAY SOME PATRONS SUCH AS MYSELF APPRECIATE THEIR SERVERS SUGGESTIONS OR FAVORITES! I am a returning customer and this is probably my favorite restaurant in Chicago for 3 main reasons: 1. The food is just delicious. They have some of the best salads I ever tried and both seafood and beef main courses are satisfying 2. The service is quick, professional, pleasant and not invasive 3. There's silence. You can talk with your dining companion without screaming, there's space between tables and they also have some tables where you can close curtains to have your own peace and privacy.

There are definitely other restaurants downtown that offer a better fine dining experience. Our server was very enthusiastic, but fairly awkward. We ordered wine which was served quickly, and the bread came out hot, which was great since we had just left a show and were hungry! Next, We shared the walnut mixed greens to start and agreed this was the best part of the meal. He ordered the Black Angus Bone in 20oz Ribeye. It was topped with so much butter. The side of asparagus was very soft. I considered it to be embarrassingly over cooked. I had the lump crab stuffed shrimp. It was delicious. But the shrimp were sitting in greasy sauce/butter. The menu listed the calories in each entree, looking at the greasy plate made me feel pretty bad about my selection. The red pepper white cheddar mash that came with my dish wasn’t good. I had two bites trying to decide what was so weird about them. My boyfriend tried them too and thought they were strange. The atmosphere is nice, there is some really beautiful cityscape stained glass in the back of the restaurant. And the location is great. I probably wouldn’t go back. If I wanted a steakhouse on the river, I’d probably head over to Smith and Wollensky where the food of a higher standard.

A few sources told us this place is one of the best in Charlotte for seafood. It was a bit overpriced, in my opinion. However, I understand I may expect too much being I am from Florida and my father-in-law is from Maine. Good seafood should stand on its own with maybe just some light seasoning and sauce on the side, if desired. I found a lot of the food to be over-salted, especially both the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. The appetizers and main courses were not bad but, as my husband put it, "nothing to write home about". The drinks were pretty good overall, too. Only one of the 5 cocktails we tried between the 3 of us needed a bit of work (my rye Manhattan). However, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We all walked out saying, "not great, not bad either". I'm definitely willing to come back and try a few other items on their menu.

So I live about a block away from McCormick and Schmick’s and I decided yesterday to go check out their happy hour. The prices were actually very good which is kind of out of me in the door in the first place. The food came out pretty quick and everything appeared to be good until a few hours later. I ordered the fish tacos and the all tuna bowl. A few hours after leaving the restaurant I began to feel very nauseous and sick to my stomach. Generally I have a pretty strong stomach and can tolerate a lot of different stuff but that McCormick and Schmick‘s definitely was not one of them. I could not sleep all night as I was violently throwing up and just felt like death. I drink a lot of water I had a lot of crackers and I feel dehydrated and empty for food but finally about 24 hours later I’m starting to feel better. This is total total total food poisoning So make sure that you stay away from whatever they have going on over there unless you feel like throwing up for at least 24 hours...

Horrible experience. Ordered the beef medallions. Four tiny medallions and an order of vegetables for $24. Absolutely horrible because it said they came with mushrooms and they did not. Dried out beef that was so chewy it was impossible to digest Not sure why it didn’t come with some sort of starch like potatoes but to pay $24 for these little pieces of beef with no bordelaise sauce to speak of and just a vegetable was unbelievable total for lunch for two people with no alcohol was $65 The restaurant was completely empty during a high traffic post church lunch crowd. Music was extremely loud with a very loud bass and ready for a bar crowd. If you’re looking for a relaxing lunch you need to go elsewhere

Updated to 4 star. Went 3 times lately. Salmon was amazing 5 star. NY strip was very very good 5 star. Ribeye was a rather bad cut they gave me.. I must downgrade.. I feel the snuck in a long dangled cut that isn't worthy of calling a steak.

Our waiter, Malik (according to the receipt), never took away our appetizer plates, he didn't bring us refills until we finished eating. Then top just t off he threw the check on the table and walked off. I have never been treated that way before. If I do come back I will request to not have him as my server.

Great location, made dinner reservations for my wife's birthday added a special note saying I was there celebrating my wife's birthday no acknowledgement whatsoever by anyone, ordered dinner came out in a timely manner. I ordered the bone in ribeye, the steak was very dry, I ordered it with crab mashed potatoes the mashed potatoes were warm at the crab sauce was cold. Overall for the price they are other places close by with better steaks.

Very disappointing. Arrived a few minutes early and was seated quickly, so that was nice. Only 6 other tables in the whole place were occupied. Not sure if that was a warning or just due to the time/day/moon-phase. Warning Flag #1. Greeted by the server who asked for a drink order. He was asked if the Manhattan or Old Fashioned was better and his response was that he did not drink so he had no idea. Being in the business, I know all too well that alcohol is a main profit center for F&B locations. Warning Flag #2. Went with the Manhattan, and received an Old Fashioned after a few minutes. It was good so no complaints. The server had presented an oyster sheet and he was asked which ones were the freshest (it was a Saturday night). He said they all were pretty fresh. Oops. Warning Flag #3. The ahi tuna tartare was ordered as an app and the bone-in-filet was asked about and told that it was good (usually order it at Ruths) so did that and a small mash on the side. That went well. The waiter brought out the cart with the build-a-tartare on it and proceeded to attempt to make it. He clearly stated up front that it was his first day and he had never made one before. After watching the mixing and the fact that he left at least a half full spoonful of tuna on his cart (maybe he wanted to try it, or just didn't notice), the guest agreed that it was his first day. The taste was good for what was received, but halfway through the waiter brought out condiments and silverware for the appetizer and said "oops, the manager just told me about this". Warning Flag #4 A bit later, the "bone-in filet" appeared. It was ordered medium rare, and delivered scorched on the outside and was maybe, to be generous, about the size a quarter thick. NEVER had a bone-in filet that was anything but a ball of meat or thick enough to be cooked properly inside. If this was really a filet minon then the meat purveyor needs to be canned. The worst filet I ever had was at Uncle Tim's one summer off the grill. This was second worst. Edible but chewy and tasted like burn marks. The side of mash helped but not much. Warning Flag #5. By this point, there was no saving the experience. No coffee or dessert was accepted after being offered. Plus marks on trying to get those last few bucks. All in all... a very very disappointing experience by a regular business account traveler at a supposed quality establishment. :( Will have to debate doing another M&S elsewhere after this.

Had a 1845 reservation for 2 and arrived about 45 minutes early knowing we would have to wait. However there were 3 parties that were also for 2 that had 1830 reservations and arrive at 1845 and were given seats ahead of us. Sounds like it’s better to make a reservation and arrive late and get seated immediately rather than show up early and have to wait longer. Food is overpriced for the quality served.

Had been wanting to go there for some time, and was EXTREMELY disappointed. The grilled seafood platter that I ordered was cold, dry and spongy. The lobster mashed potatoes were bland mashed potatoes with the lobster bisque poured on top (I know because a member of our party had the bisque), with no lobster pieces. Not worth the money spent. Will NEVER return. The only plus was that our server was pleasant.

Melissa the manager is always helpful and very considerate given crowd & staffing constraints. Everyone always makes our visits special : birthday, anniversary or just a visit. Chef is exceptional as is the menu. A must for everyone.

M&S is one of my mum's favorite seafood restaurants. So when I told her Charlotte had one, she made the discussion for the group that we would go their for a late Sunday dinner. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers and meal. As always, the portion was nice and the seafood well prepared. The only complaint I had was my pasta was a bit tough. Also, I wish M&S would consider creating a small vegetarian menu. Making customers pay full price for a dish that is minus the seafood

Very nice birthday dinner with my mom and friends. A little disappointed after making a reservation 5 weeks in advance our table wasn't ready when we arrived. Nonetheless, we sat at a bar table for about 20 minutes. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. The wait staff were very accommodating delivering the items to our table once we were seated in the dinning section. Overall, a wonderful birthday time was had and everyone enjoyed their food. My water glass was never completely empty and I appreciate that! It was a bit pricey, but this is not a restaurant I go too very often. Valet was nice and quick - extra bonus!

If you're looking for a higher end restaurant with numerous choices of sea food plates, do not look any further! The steaks and desserts are delicious as well. Our thanks to the chef and Eric was great help with picking dishes, drinks and helping with the tough choice between desserts. Would suggest to visit this restaurant if you're in the area and love fish or steak.

We were running late to a show and checked to see if we could get a quick drink and apps. Our waiter was quick and informative, coaching us to order calamari and truffle fries. The Cosmo was smooth while the other cocktails were quite tasty. Thank you for being so accommodating! I loved the calamari app, but the meals themselves weren't worth it for the price to me honestly. I am not cheap but if I will pay that kind of money I at least want to enjoy my food.

I arrived just before 5:00 and didn't have any trouble getting a seat at the bar. The bartender greeted me right away and took my drink order. It was another waiter who took my food order and didn't do a great job articulating the answers to my questions. The food was good (clam chowder and crab cake appetizer), but no one checked in to see how my meal was until I was completely done.

Simply put, I ordered the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken, something I very much enjoy when prepared properly. Unfortunately, on this night, they failed badly. What I was served was mostly uncooked, and totally inedible. I struggled to cut it with a knife, and what I managed to cut off was... crunchy (and I don't mean the coating). In fairness, I was part of a large group, so I admit that adds complexity to the challenge for a restaurant. Also, I didn't contact them to have them correct the meal... it was a business dinner and everyone was happily eating by the time I realized the condition of my food. The chef came out to apologize, and they wanted to make it right... but unfortunately, this night was just not their night for me. Others at the table seemed very happy with their meals... so I'll offer a second star for second hand experience :)

My wife and I stopped there last night after an evening at the symphony and sat outside. I love seared ahi tuna and while the plate looked awesome with two large chunks of sesame crusted very rare tuna, there was no taste and no texture. I was very disappointed and this was apparently one of the chefs two recommendations that night. The service was great, eating on the street is and possibly noisy with people thinking that they are The Commodores and cars driving by wanting to impress us with their music and sound system. It’s a shame the city doesn’t have noise restrictions.

Hello, Be careful with this restaurant, they charge you more than your Bill & That's ridiculous !! my actual bill was $47.36 on 29th june'19, but a week later found the card was swiped for $56.30, without my consent ! I did not consent for Tip either, as there were really delayed service !! Feels like its completely fradulent charging more than the bill, without the customer consent. @McCormick Management - $9 may not be a big amount, But I do not want to get wrongly charged ! Expecting you to take actions & reverse the amount!

Have been here a few times before. It was not as good as the past. The wait staff was nice and helpful. The hostess not so much. We had a dirty drink glass with full lipstick stain not a light washed one. The food was OK... definitely not worth the prices for the food and service..

I felt disrespected and ignored. Our waiter was dismissive of our request for simply water. This went on for over an hour. The manager on staff didn't even try to correct the challenges. To make matters worse, the food was mediocre with exorbitant pricing. I'd say pass on this one of you're not at happy hour sitting outside. The extra star is for the times I sat outside and had $5 tacos and wine with decent service.

Don't get the Lobster Tails! Mine were as big as my thumb-and for $42?? I didn't say anything but I was floored to see that. One of the ladies at our table got the fish that was the special and it was full of gristle-like matter. They did replace that with the tuna, which she thought was wonderful. Others at the table thought their meals were fine. The service, luckily, was excellent.

Came with a group of friends for my birthday, was not disappointed. We moved tables 3 times (first waited at bar for outdoor table, then it got too cold outside and we moved inside), and they were nothing but gracious about it. Plus it was half price bottles, which was amazing. We had a table of 8 and stayed for probably almost 5 hours, didn't order a lot of food, just mostly bottles, and the service stayed great and accommodating the whole time. Was definitely appreciated.

From seafood to Kobe beef burgers. Everything came out wonderful. It brought back memories of my first experience years ago at the M&S on South Beach. Food service out of the kitchen felt a tad slow for there being barely anyone here, but other than that.. great. It was a banking holiday when we stopped in. Great location, okay dining We opted for this at the last minute, over nearby Catch35 which we ended up visiting for a "snack" after our dinner, and while the food was okay, we would recommend Catch 35 instead for seafood lovers. The halibut at McCormick's was at most 1cm thick, a shameful cut for such a beautiful fish, and the plates were adorned with enough side potato to feed two. The culinary "vibe" is closer to steakhouse than fine seafood dining. The real highlight was the outdoor patio seating right across from the river and one of the many bridges crossing the Chicago river, and for that alone worthy of a visit if your expectations are for a more casual (though not casually priced) steak and fish dinner.

This place is mediocre, at best. It is a chain restaurant with “upscale” seafood (the seafood is NOT impressive at all) and outrageously high prices. I have been to one other location, and wasn’t impressed by that place either. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The salad was good, and the shrimp were nothing special. The real issue for me was that they charged me $14.50 for a lemon drop martini. First of all, I’m not dining in NYC or Vegas. This is a very common and easy-to-make martini, which usually costs about $8. (I used to be a bartender.) I expected the price to be a little high, but it’s not like I ordered Johnny Walker Blue. I was appalled by the fact that they had the audacity to charge that much. Also, the manager yelled at his waitstaff in front of customers multiple times, which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Unfortunately for M&S the standard for steakhouses in Chicago is very high. Our medium rare 8oz filet was char grilled to the point that the char overpowered the entire steak. Each tender bite tasted like burnt charcoal. Perhaps that style appeals to some. Perhaps we should have researched what M&S's claim to fame is. Or perhaps they just turned up the heat in the burners way too high and burned the hell out of a $48 piece of gummy meat. The octopus appetizer was also charred beyond desire. (Sensing a pattern??) I was pleased with the crab stuffed shrimp. The specialty beverage was decent. It was unnecessarily prepared table side which was very gimmicky. There was no real reason for it other than to show us that the block of dark chocolate was shaved fresh for the drink. All of this was well and good but not as impressive as the neighboring steak houses that compare favorably in price.

This place is VERY prejudice towards black people who dress very casually. We came in and started getting looks from every corner of the restaurant. We had a reservation for 7 but didn’t get seated till 7:30. What is the point of having a reservation if you’re going to seated 30 minutes later. The servers were very rude ,and just gave out without speaking to us. We asked politely if theres anyway we could have separate bills ( we had a big group so i know they earned alot money for them) she left got her manger and the manger came in heard the question and said a blunt no. He didn’t give us reasoning and didn’t want no if,what’s, or but’s about it. Then he left abruptly . We waited so long to get our food it was crazy. Then they tried to give us some type of customer service when an adult came and sat with us. NEVER again. I would suggest you go to outback for much more GREATER service and BETTER price. Also for a piece of advice looking down upon young black women isn’t a good look.

Restaurant week in Charlotte. If a restaurant has plenty of reservation times available that might be a sign. Upon arriving we asked for a table on the bar side vs the dining room to watch the AFC Championship game. The restaurant had patrons scattered about but was not busy by any means. After a 10+ minute wait, while a manager and multiple bar employees enjoyed their conversation with the 6 customers at the bar, a waitress finally brought ice water and took our drink order. We ordered off the “restaurant week” specials menu. Lobster Corn Chowder as the 1st course. Nothing special but decent. Needed salt & pepper! For the second course my wife had the scallops which were good overall just on the bland side. I had prawns for my second course. Absolutely disappointing. I do not expect a prawn to be smaller than your average medium size shrimp but that is what was served. 6 of them that wouldn’t make a good shrimp cocktail and like everything else to that point, bland. For the 3rd course I had a winner! The creme brûlée was really good and a nice serving. My wife however chose the chocolate silk pie. How could this not be good? It was so hard that you could not cut it with a fork. When using a knife it just cracked into multiple pieces. I asked the waitress if it was supposed to be creamy and she agreed it was not good. The waitress offered to get another piece or something else but we were done. I watched her take our plates and dump them in a bin. No need to inform anyone of a poor product, not even the manager who hung out at the bar. A $100+ dollar bill to pay knowing the Mexican food truck that was out on the street corner puts out a tremendously better product. Believe me when I say I won’t be back!

We decided to try this place again but instead of happy hour we dined in for dinner. The dining room is low lights and pretty quiet. The table we were seated at felt very private and intimate which was a pleasant surprise. It was like a small room for just our tables with curtains in the entry way. As soon as we were seated the server brought over water and asked if wanted bread. The bread comes out warm and the better melts instantly on it. The bread was very soft and light. A great starter. We started with the fried oysters. These were very different. They were crispy on the outside and slimy on the inside. The crispy coating wasn't overly oily or salty. It went really well with the slaw it comes with. My husband doesn't eat oysters but he liked theses. I think I prefer the traditional way of eating them. For dinner I got the stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes. You get 5 medium sized shrimp with crab stuffing overflowing from them. They were very good. The crab stuffing was filled with crab and very minimal filler. The shrimp were tender and each to remove from the tail. They do come out drizzled with butter. I think it was a little too much so maybe ask for it on the side if you don't like a lot of butter. The cheesy mashed potatoes were also very good. They were fluffy and seasoned perfectly. My husband got the blackened white fish with sausage mashed potatoes. The whitefish was spicy and cooked to the perfect texture. The seasoning was layers on top and you could taste it throughout the entire fish. The sausage mashed potatoes were different but my favorite. They were spicy and reminded me of a Cajun like flavor. Overall we had a really good experience. The service was quick and the food wad great. The prices we also cheaper than many of the other seafood places around the city.

Made reservations at 6:45pm didn’t get seated until 7:30pm they did not honor our reservation at all, in fact they seated a walk-in before. Waiters were slow and came to table twice and still forgot beverages. Food was sub-par, ordered the sea scallops and pork belly... the pork was maybe 5 pieces of half inch cubes, and 4 scallops for 38$? Not worth it at all. The porterhouse steak was also sub-par. They boast a nice selection of sub-par quality food on the menu with long wait times.

You'd expect great service when your bill is $150 for 2 people but I guess that's too much to ask for these days. Walked in on a Thursday night, waited at the host stand a solid 5 minutes without being greeted by anyone, including the people that walked past us. The restaurant was dead by the way, maybe 20 guests total taking up 7 tables. Finally we pulled someone aside and asked if we were ever going to be sat. Food was pretty good although expensive. My girlfriend got the 2 lobster tails and steak for $55. Her lobster tails were literally the smallest I've ever seen but she said they were almost as good as making them at home LOL. My burger was excellent and so were the fries and mac and cheese we ordered to go. My 20 year old girlfriend wasn't planning on drinking but after our waitress kept pushing drinks on her and asking if she was sure she didn't want one, she finally ordered the one the waitress suggested and got another later on. Not complaining about that, I just think it's funny. All in all, this could be an amazing dining experience IF the service was better! Until then, I wouldn't go back.

I waited at least 20 minutes to get water. The waitress was training someone, which was fine. However, when there were issues with the meal, the waitress kept blaming the new girl with her standing there and that was awkward. No one cleared the appetizer plates when our meal came out so we stacked up our own plates and dishes to make room for dinner. (Side note: the dishes were not removed from the table the whole two hours that night.) The vegetables that were part of the meal were not plated and were missing. We requested the vegetables, but the waitress took them to another table accidentally. We never received the vegetables. The waitress had way too many tables and needed help but the manager did not get her assistance. We asked to talk to the manager but the manager would not come out. At least two other tables had similar issues while we were there. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Management has many opportunities for improvement.

We were given a coupon from our hotel so we were excited about our new adventure. We waited over twenty minutes after we were brought to our table and noone came to wait on us. I told the waitress and yet no one came. And a group that came after us was waited on. We left and all I heard was, "Really??? The server didn't come??? Sad to say we will not come back as there seemed to be no one that stepped up to make sure we were taken care of.

This location uptown Charlotte is not as great as the Southpark location. I had to send several glasses back due to something on them. The steak was very good, but that 93.3 score needs to go up before I go back to this location. I only stayed because it was an event going on and it was one of many restaurants that was not very packed at the time.

This was delish! I had grilled octopus appetizer and the seafood trio (grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, stuffed shrimp). I sub'd the mash for asparagus and it also came with roasted veggies as well. Everything was seasoned simply but to perfection. Great meal. Great service.

If you want real yummy tasting steaks, get french marinated steaks. American steaks are tasteless and for some reason this restaurant’s steak was kind of cold... Shaming the brand name, really. Fun and cheeky Columbian waiter though.

Went there last night for my cousin’s dinner party and as soon as we arrived they were so unorganized that they didn’t save a card on file for the reservation. The wait to be sitted wasn’t long but the food preparation took a while. The hostesses weren’t polite, barely spoke to us, and answered questions ambiguously. The food was good but overall service could have been way better. Not worth it to spend money here.

We visited Chicago for a weekend getaway celebration and wished we'd chosen better. The filet and lobster tail special was terrific the asparagus was also perfectly prepared. The rest of the evening was average at best. Service was initially friendly, then after we ordered it became non-existent. The soup and appetizers came out in a reasonable time, then 30 minutes passed with literally no one checking on us. I finally got up and asked a server about our food...it had been 40-some minutes since we ordered. It was then brought out within a minute or 2 without explanation or apology. Personally, our server was a likeable person, but either wasn't trained properly our suited for this level of expected service. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers we're tasty but tough and over-done, the corn salsa bedding it was served on was very good. The clam chowder tasted "earthy" although there wasn't any grit. From a value stand point it was disappointing. When got the bill we noticed that: 1. We ordered mixed drinks which were upcharged from Call to Premium (which is waste in a mixed drink) without our ok. 2. The upcharge for a substitution we made at our servers offering (16 oz's. of meat VS 14.ozs) cost an additional $24. Taking a $51 entree to $75 for 2 additional oz's if meat was not at all reasonable. The seating was good, unfortunately throughout the evening we were within earshot of a service station and could here 1 of the employees complaining about his schedule, supervisor, and job generally throughout the meal. Think we'll check out Lawry's next time we are in town.

The service here was fantastic, the people were all extremely kind and professional. The food here was amazing. Absolutely delicious. The filet was absolutely perfect, the asparagus is cooked to perfection, and the oysters... you need to let every other restaurant along either coast know where you get your oysters, because those were the best I've ever had. My husband doesn't usually ask for the manager of a restaurant to bestow praise, but he did in this case.

Great food and service. We started with the shrimp kisses. Shrimp wrapped in bacon with pepperjack cheese. They were delicious . I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and my boyfriend had the halibut. Both were delicious. We followed it up with the chocolate bag. OMG save room for this dessert. Chocolate filled with white chocolate mousse and fresh berries. Ignore the almost 2000 calorie count, it was worth it. Treat Yo Self!

I was a returning customer who had a great experience the first time I dined at this establishment for my birthday, but this time it was HORRIBLE! The female greeter was very rude with eye rolls when my wife and I requested a specific booth that was completely empty, the person serving us forgot to bring a side dish and we were quietly billed for a rewards program presented to us that we did not give permission to be charged for. I will never go back here again. It was one of my most favorite Chicago restaurants.

We had the worst service today at one of my favorite restaurants. Rachel, our server was awful, she bought the wrong drinks and food to our table twice. We had to keep flagging her down, never came back to check on us after bringing us the incorrect orders. I’ll be going to another location from now on.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was not busy and we received terrible service. Our place settings were missing silverware. Our seafood was extremely overcooked. Our waitress was so slow that by the time she brought us the proper silverware needed and butter and lemon for our overcooked lobster, our food was completely cold. Overpriced for the quality. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE ELSE. There are many better options in Charlotte for the money. Management doesn't even care about customers. When I complained about our experience, they offered to send us a gift card... It took 4 weeks to get a $25 gift card (to make up for our terrible experience where we spend $150). Sorry, but I don't even want it!

I've never been disappointed with their food or service. They serve delicious food and drinks from any of their locations. This location is better because your right in uptown Charlotte. There was a menu change and price adjustment for the All Star weekend so you can only order from their All Star menu, not the regular menu.

This is a really great place to eat in Chicago, especially if you're taking a client out for dinner. The steaks are great, all the appetizers are amazing, the atmosphere is very cool and conducive to conducting business, and the bar is all that. Personally I like just getting a whiskey sour, but my friends all rave about the scotch, which just isn't my thing. Check them out.

I was going to Carolina Ale house however I stopped at McCormick & Schmick's instead and it was a horrible experience. The communication was horrible between the waitresses. We actually came here and wanted to watch the fight on showtime. We asked multiple times if they could change the channel. After about the 5th time we found out they didn't have showtime. This was a deal breaker. We cancelled our orders. Unfortunately, we probably won't come back.
