The whole Eataly was an amazing experience! I will be going back again when I am in the city. We went here on the suggestion of a friend. The pasta I ordered was delicious, our waiter was very friendly. It was pretty busy when we went so maybe expect a longer wait if you go during peak times. But well worth it!

This food is legit. Simple, delicious (think layers of flavor), and filling. I've been here twice on this trip because it's so good. The pizza is very thin crust, soggy and floppy in the middle (so all the typing slide right off,) and charred on the edges. It had a good flavor, but some parts of the crust were too burned for my taste. I've tried three different pastas and all were amazing (if you like a little spice, try the Bucotini.) It can be a bit loud, but still a fun and wonderful ambience. Plus, the restaurant is in a huge, amazing Italian market with pasta, cheeses, meats, chocolates, wines, and so much more to browse or buy! A must-try if you're walking by or staying in the area. Don't forget dessert downstairs!

I have been here several times and have always had a great experience! The waiters are knowledgeable about the menu, tasty and consistent recipes. I love coming here for some yummy pasta or a delicious Napoleon style pizza. The waiters are beyond amazing and always give attention to their customers. Tip: I would make a reservation before coming here because it always get busy around dinner time, especially on the weekends.

Zachary Ostrand

Very good authentic Italian food. Will not be disappointed. Be mindful of wait times, but you will not be bored during your possible wait with so many shops.

David H. Nguyen

The Gelato here is so good! It's a huge market and you find a bunch of authentic Italian foods. I really wish Houston would get one!

Rolf Schaenzel

The best places in Chicago to shop and eat Italian. We love it.

Valentina Winters

Eataly is a really neat store/groupings of restaurants that I recommend anyone go to at least once. If you go during an off time, like 11am or 2pm, it's really fun to explore the store. I stopped at the wine counter upstairs about 11am one Saturday afternoon. They don't do tastings on the weekends but will during the week, so I just got a simple glass of Rose. I sat down at one of the high top tables and grabbed one of their fun cookbooks and had a nice time by myself. The guy working was so nice and helpful. I'd come back again just to sit there.

Tasty dishes. Fun market place environment. Good for social dining but not quiet intimate occasions.

Our first and last visit to Eataly. We were underwhelmed by our overpriced and horrible service experience. We wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and leisurely shop the markets on a Sunday afternoon. We stood and were completely ignored at the wine spritzer bar on the second floor. The server never made eye contact with us or said I'll be right with you - nothing. Another single gal customer barged right in front of us and her and the server were googly-eyed with one another forever more. Had the server been conscious behind the bar, he would have said to her - These folks have been waiting you'll be next. Sick of waiting and being ignored , we walked over to the two young hosts at the host stand for the restaurant located near the wine bar and asked where we could get a glass of wine. They directed us back to the wine bar we just walked away from. We told them we were ignored and could not get service over there so we asked "Where is the next closest wine bar?" He directed us over to a counter within this restaurant where we again stood and were ignored. Eventually, a server came over to us from the customer side of this bar, we said we wanted to get some glasses of wine. She told us this was a dining counter area, not a place to get a glass of wine and she directed us to a corner of the store where she told us there was wine tasting today, (Sunday June 2, 2019). When we arrived to that wine bar, we inquired about the wine tasting and were told "There was supposed to be wine tasting today but nobody showed up" - (whatever that is supposed to mean). Following is a quote I found from the Chicago Eataly website on the day following our visit: "On weekends, we drink wine. Weekend like an Italian every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this spring with complimentary wine and food tastings, market offers, restaurant specials, events, and more." To clarify, none of the above were offered or made available - no wine tasting, no food tastings, no nothing. Eventually, we were able to purchase some wine but we were exhausted by the wasted time & effort to do so. Almost every counter we visited within this place we were either ignored or had to interrupt employees conversing with each other in order to place our order or to ask them something. There was no sign of management anywhere. Clearly, the inmates are running this asylum into the ground. We easily spent over $100.00 inside the store and various shops within the store on nothing that overwhelmed us - especially the service. No parking for customers is yet another reason to skip this place. Had to pay $35.00 at the lot across the street only to be ignored and have our time wasted once inside. What should have been a relaxing Sunday afternoon of specialty shopping turned into a frustrating experience not ever worth repeating.

debbi sessa

So fresh!! Everything was wonderful and the serving sizes were very generous!

joshua folta

Great place, great shopping and food. It's a bit overwhelming to think about a bathroom.

Nick Cipponeri

From the beginning... 1. Water was spilled all over our arms/hands and menus 2. Olive oil was spilled all over the table 3. The waiter took 10 minutes to come and then all he said was "are we ready to order?" Then he seemed more concerned about whether we had any allergies to the food we ordered which...fine I guess, but I can see the ingredients and am not gonna order something I'm allergic to. 4. Our waters were never refilled even tho we finished them while eating the bread 5. Spaghetti was too salty and undercooked (yes I love al dente. It is undercooked if u can grind the grains while u are chewing). 6. We were obviously finished eating but we had to wave down the waiter to get our bill. 7. The waiter saw we had barely eaten our pastas so called the manager over. At this point we just wanted to leave, but told the manager about my pasta. It then took forever to actually get the bill delivered. So we had both our pastas comp'd but it would have been much better to have a great experience and pay full price. This might sound nitpicky and honestly any one of these things individually wouldn't have been a big deal but when you add it all up, it actually really sucked. I think it's even worse cuz we have been to other Eatalys and pretty much always had a great time.

Jessie Le

If you are a fan of Italian food, well... you are at the right place! Plenty of food choices in Eataly, plus you can buy a lot of Italian gourmet food and groceries. I tried the basil ice-cream and it tasted very unique!! They also had tomato ice-cream... which tasted very funny!

Dave Huang

We have eaten in various restaurants in EATALY but have never tried La Pizza & La Pasta until last night. I think the reason why we waited was because it is actually not difficult to find good authentic Italian food in Chicago, and there is no specific reason why this place is any more special then others. When we first looked through the reviews and photos, we realized that a lot of posts and photos were randomly posted about EATALY, not about this specific restaurant so we will try it and see how it is. To be fair, I think most people who spoke very highly (the ones whom actually take about food) about this place probably frequents Maggianos, expect there is no buy one take one home deal here. We had the bruschetta, the suppli (deep fried rice ball), arugula salad, margherita pizza, and the Fettuccini al Nero. The bruschetta toppings had winter veggies like squash, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, etc. over a Mozzarella spread. I can't say that I liked the creation since I am a basil, tomato, balsamic type of guy, besides the veggies were quite hard. The suppli and the salad was normal, so was the pizza. There was literally one leaf of basil at the middle of pizza. Maybe they had to ration the basil since it is marathon weekend. However the dough was good, just the right elasticity for me. The pasta was a bit of a disappointment actually, maybe because of the over hype about the pasta in the reviews, the fettuccine was done al dente but the sauce was nothing extraordinary, and the only seafood in the pasta was cut up shrimp, I didn't see any mussels and such in other posting. The service was good of course. In summary, I gave it a fair 4 star because it is still good Italian food. But compare to some of the other Italian places in town, like RPM, I think it has to take a few steps back.

Jason Edwards

Neat place for italophiles, ok for the rest of us to find some savory add ins to our diet

Joshua Seitz

I mean their Prime Rib is a gift from God himself

Vesna Zafirovski

Pasta so 'al dente' as if run through lukewarm water and so full of pepper to make it inedible. Pizza the size of a plate and a price of a steak. Absolute dissapointment.

Nima Shams

Good fresh food, service can be inconsistent, and a nice place to shop, grab a small bite, or eat a meal. Parking validation available for the garage located at 10 E Grand Ave.

Yubing Ji

Large variety of Italian grocery and goods AND authentic Italian food with fresh ingredients! Great taste with reasonable price and awesome ambience.

justin miller

I liked it, but way too busy to love it. The service seemed to be a second thought and a little more signage as to how you are to dine would help. Price is quite high for what it was as well. The food is nice but again not lovable.

benjamin Cooper

First time being exposed to Eataly! Great location right next hotel. Ate nearly every meal here while in Chicago. While eating in the pasta room towards the back of the second floor me and my wife where both thinking the same thing we have tried these same Italian flavors before where at Del Posto NYC which is one of our fav restaurants! Cant wait for the one in Dallas to open.

Hamilton Foster

Met several different servers at different booths who had crazy bad attitudes. One was actively making fun of her coworker (not in a playful way). Another, was incredibly curt when I was paying. The prime rib sandwich I had bread that was burnt, which ruined the flavor but the meat was really good. I wouldn’t recommend this to people since there are other places with good Italian in the city.

Asima Arora

Great place for food and wine. Love the meat and cheese selections available here

win Simpson

You could spend hours here looking around and/or eating. Very impressive store with so many selection's to choose from. Several different places to eat inside for lunch or dinner.

Jeff Spang

Exciting place with hundreds of options. (Not an exaggeration)

Benni Vannocci

Don’t waste your Time or Money! Our whole experience was at best, Awful. The staff ignored us and the layout has no rhyme or reason (very confusing). The overpriced “Italian food” was low to average in both taste and quality. ***Why doesn't Eataly validate parking for the Parking structure IMMEDIATELY across the street from their front door???*** We were soaked $35 to park for just over an hour and a half. (Rip-Off). We won’t be back.

Denise ODell

Great food, authentic Italian pasta and pizza, great staff!

Vadim P

Great imported goodies from Italy. All kinds of cheeses and wines etc. different restaurants to choose from.

Luis Arismendi

Amazing place, you can find all kinds Italian food,

Hillary Gale

Sensory overload and overwhelming. Pasta was just ok. Gelato was super overpriced ice cream. The Italian groceries were cool but super expensive.

Chris

Several different places to choose from to eat. Great service and great goid. Tons of shopping choices while yoir there. Fresh pasta, fruits and veggies. Lots of oils and tomatoe sauces to choose from, as well as a few dessert options to choose from.

Norbert Tillemans

What a great place. An Italian Food Court and delicatessen store. Superb food in a lively atmosphere!

Brian Hartman

Such a fun place. It brings back such fond memories of Europe. The selection of Italian items is impressive and fun. We really loved the meat and cheese counter. Such selection! Highly recommend even if just to look around. We did not eat at any of the Bistros but they all looked amazing and smelled even better.

Erin Nichols

If I could give it 6 stars I would. Best pizza I have ever had.

max gilll

Great fresh food ,pasta pizza and wines. Plus great shopping for all things of Italy

Debbie Pancini

Great place! Food is delicious and the market is excellent.

Cassandra Krug

Food, service (Sarah C) and company was great!

Monika Mittal

Wish they had something so nice in my town

Malena Vareles

Interesting layout concept. The pasta was Al dente, just like u like it. The chocolate Gelato is every chocoholics dream.

Kyounghee Lee

Worst experience ever in La Pizza & La Pasta! Do not visit during the restaurant fest. Too many people, long wait time, and degraded quality of foods. The server forgot to set our table even after foods came out (probably because she was too tired?) The other server brought us a pasta different from what we ordered. The magaritta pizza was totally different from what we always had there for the past 4 years (No mozzarella cheese seen on the top of the pizza). May not visit the restaurant again.

Klaudia G

Eataly has some of the worst, unprofessional and embarrassing customer service in Chicago. Do not waste your time visiting this restaurant. There are plenty of amazing Italian restaurants that your money can be better spent at. I had reservations for Eataly and asked if they had gluten free options, they confirmed that they do. When I asked what options are gluten free the waiter told me a list of items. When he came back I was ready to order my gluten free pasta- to which his response was that he cannot give me gluten free pasta and I need to go stand in a line of 20 people at the other kitchen and ask for gluten free pasta and I also have to eat it at that kitchen’s tables and I am NOT allowed to bring that pasta back and eat it with my friends at the table we reserved. Eataly - your servers are truly worst in class it’s quite pathetic. I’ve never heard of something SO ridiculous. Extremely lazy and careless waiters.

Sharyn Sobel

Fun environment. Great food.

Wilsons-2

A really cool eatery in downtown Chicago. A multi level Italian grocery products store with a full service restaurant. Pizza (Italian style of course) and pasta selections offered. Each from its own kitchen - so time your orders appropriately. Good beer and wine offerings to go with any entree. Casual dress, mid level prices. We had a very knowledgeable server, Armen, who offered - when asked - great lunch and drink selections.

Ana Muneton

So many choices , everything look delicious.

Piyush Bhandari

Great concept but lacks in quality of service and adaptation of food to taste preferences. I ordered a simple pasta with marinera sauce. Spaghetti was way too under cooked even for allacante. They were unable to add any vegetables as it’s against policy. Sauce was very bland and lacked flavor. Overall i did not enjoy the food. I would not return for a meal. The good think is that it does give you a good view of the variety Italian culture has to provide. I love Italian food so am a little passionate about it.

Fernanda Nunes Ramalho

Great food, nice ambiance, good service and mostly good prices. The lunch special is a pretty good deal: an appetizer + pasta or pizza for $17. There are a few options.

Leslie V

Great place for eating alone. I eat here regularly by myself for a quick pasta dish. Pasta is delicious and not expensive. Also great for dates and you can buy pasta as you leave so you can. Attempt to make at home.

V Blondell

This is hands down the best CHEESE DEPARTMENT on planet earth. I’m not sure what a cheese specialist working for a company that’s obviously doing very well makes but I’m hoping it’s a lot! The level of attention I received and the obvious love of cheese and willingness to sample and answer questions made me want to leave a review (which I rarely do). If these guys don’t get a raise can you at least out out a tip jar? It makes me feel better asking so many questions and I like to reward people who obviously love their jobs.

katelyn gogets

Really cool environment and great food. If you love cheese, wine and pasta you have to visit this place. Who doesn't love to drink wine while they shop?

Robert Sullivan

Great place to get great Italian food and drinks.

Nurbek Ormonov

I love Eataly and come over like everyday for these pizzas and pastas. My choice is always pappardelle with ragu meat

James Hall

A very fun experience. Good food. Friendly, helpful staff.

luis angel

No words to describe the amazing flavour and environment of the place...

Andrew Crowe

A little slice of Italy

Anthony Nicosia

Eataley we have been there several times but will not return untill Mario returns I don't care who he touched they changed the the idea of a good time place Lidia in only in for the money the service was poor and the servers were more into talking with one another the taking care of the paying customer. Sorry we are going to miss eating there.

Chef Love

The whole concept is amazing. We got there when they opened and spent hours shopping and tasting. We had the opportunity to sample wines, cheeses and salumi. We ate at La Pizza & La Pasta and had the margherita rustica and it was molto delizioso. We were excited to be able to purchase such high quality salumi and cheeses.

Austin Davies

Good for imported italian goods and the restaurant is good too.

Eugene

Great Italian food. Nice atmosphere. Good service.

Patrick Alfieri

Great place! If you want the best prime rib sandwich in Chicago...Eataly is the place!

Lori Orzechowski

Awesome! A bit overwhelming at first but for all the right reasons. We were just looking for some gelato (which was exquisite btw - cherry chocolate) but got so much more. PS praise cheeses, I've literally never seen so many cheeses in one place.

C. Paul Courtney

It's always nice to have options. I'll definitely be back to explore.

Luke Skywalker

If you are coming from the north do not bother with this Chitown scam —— go to Tenutas in Ktown —- ok if you like crowds and ripoff parking or a 2hr train/ Uber ride be my guest

Michal Fonfara

I really liked pizza napoletana, the best thing is that this place is store with Italian products and also a restaurant, you can get a glass of wine and do your shopping :)

Rhonda Schifano

Love this place! It lets Chicagoans go on a culinary trip to Italy whenever they want.

Nicholas Joerger

This place has great quality meats and cheeses. I always enjoy going and sampling their goods

Pat Laurence

Loved my custom ordered pizza & fun to watch it being made!

Iwona Adamczyk

Always great food options, fresh ingredients and attentive service.

Everett Gossard

Ordered a small plate of handmade piselli filled with spring peas, asparagus, and ricotta. Amazing. The shops are incredible, handmade pastas, truffles, black garlic, hundreds of cheeses.

John Hurtt

Wow. While large-scale, I have not tasted more authentic Italian cuisine. Even the most pickiest eater will leave here satisfied.

Olivia Yoh

Great place for Italian food and shopping. Worth checking out if you're in the area and like Italian food. It's in a convenient location, with many different options but is a little more on the pricier side of things.

Bryan Bazley

Lots of hustle and bustle. Wide choice of food from pizza, pasta, and desserts

Stacy K

Excellent authentic Italian food and markets. We had some of the best pizza we have ever had. Great service, unique food and lively atmosphere.

neisha torres

Dirty behind the scenes!! And over priced

Michael Redman

Great concept. Service felt rushed but food was good.

Doina Romanciuc

I love Eataly. Here is nice to find a store plus restaurants, patiserie, coffee shops, icecream and a huge selection of wine. During the weekends it is very busy and hard to get a table. So plan your visit in advance. On a weekday is not that busy.

Mikey Griesbaum

Only been twice but I love this place. Gives a commercialized feeling of being back in Italy. So many food options, drink options and grocery options. Place is packed on the weekends. Even in the middle of the day on Friday it was very busy. Worth a visit and hanging around eating, drinking and shopping for a few hours.

chad svastisalee

First trip to Eataly to actually eat! Grabbed some lucky $1 Oyster and $5 bubbly specials. Satiated but still hungry, decided to sit at the bar in the Birreria. Bruce was well versed in the beers, very talkative but informative with the menu. After a few house IPA and Lagers we tried the Swordfish skewers and Arancinis... Will be back for more.

Alan Dewey

Amazing place for everything Italian. Expensive.

Chris Martin

Eataly is a must, if you love everything about Italy. The food and extensive wine/spirit experience will have you going back to try more.

Stu Schwadron

The pizza and salads are made fresh and have a delicious combination of thin nepolitano style, and a 36-hour rising to give some great chew in the crust. Lots of fresh ingredients and cooked in a wood fire oven in open kitchen. It is hard to decide where to eat at Eately... This choice will not disappoint you! The open feel of the restaurant is also a nice change, even when busy, no matter the season, it is light and bright.

Arek Szot

We have walked by Eataly hundreds of times and would always avoid it because it's such a touristy spot and at times it looks super crowded plus based on experience touristy spots more than often have terrible food. Well this might be an exception. We came inside the store before noon on Sunday when it wasn't busy and explored the store a little bit till we found the La pizza & La pasta on the second floor tucked in the corner of the store. We got a table by the window and order pizza margarita and spinach ravioli with wild mushrooms. The staff was super nice and helpful here and the restaurant is very clean. Our food came out fast and it was delicious. I had pizza in many parts of the world and the pizza margarita we had here was top ranked among the pizzas we have ever had. The ravioli dish was so flavorful and the mushrooms used in the dish were delicious and very different from what you would typically expect. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Be ready to wait for a table especially around lunch time. I only say that because by the time we left (around 12:30pm) all the tables around us were occupied

Pablo Suarez

The place is very nice, an extraordinary concept, the food can be better

Maria Soria

My expectations were very high to go here, it is a perfect place to find anything Italian, best ingredients, best cheeses, etc. However we went and had dinner at Pizza and Pasta and we order quadrati pasta and my Italian Husband and I were very disappointed when they bring this almost cold plate of pasta with a watery sauce that tastes like nothing. in conclusion this is an Italian supermarket not recommended for eating here if you know Italian food.

Michael Zorko

I reached out to Bridget (events coordinator, she is amazing!) Just 10 days ago! In that time she was able to put together a 5 Star event for my group of 10 in very spacious private room. That right there is outstanding. The food was amazing in taste and presentation. However the highlight was the staff. We were lucky to have Mo join us as our drink magician! Such a great guy, we loved having him there with us. Also a special thanks to Karen. What a great point person. The only thing missing is that both Mo and Karen were not able to join us for dinner. We would have loved to have them as our guest. Eataly was a top notch experience. We will be back!

Alice Kelsey

Eataly is so much fun. From shopping through the store to dining there, it is all fun and tasty. We lucked into a wine tasting, which was great fun and then dined in La Pizza & La Pasta. Lots of great pizza, which disappeared as fast as the pasta. Servers were great.

Junie Stephens

So many good things to eat or sample. If you are not sure what you have a taste for lunch, I recommend stopping by Eataly. The prime rib sandwich is as good as every one says.

Betsy Van Die

I've been to both NYC locations, and have to say, I personally think the Chicago store has a far better layout. Sure, many of the items are the same, but this location is spacious and the displays are more creative. At the original Flatiron store in NYC, it is so crowded and the displays are too close together, so somebody is always banging into you. I never ran into a single area that was crowded here - and this was just a few days before Christmas, so Michigan Avenue was fairly busy. I could spend hours in here browsing the eclectic Italian delicacies ... browsing is the key word, since I can't justify spending this kind of money, with a few exceptions.

Tanjim Hossain

Came here on a raving recommendation from a friend. $10 for their vegan option. Pretty plain jane and flavourless. People with me had non vegan dishes. Also rather unappealing and appetizing-looking. Try somewhere else.

Tatiana Ori

The front of the house is so rude , even with reservation we was waiting 30 min and they was seating people without, they was just ignoring us . So rude , terrible service!!! But food is great. It’s not our first time here, but every time the same ! Service was TERRIBLE, but the servers doing great job. You should definitely hire a new hostess!

Julieta Munoz

Such a great atmosphere and amazing food!

Jim Mosier

Our second trip to Chicago and we made it a must to stop into Eataly. The store is very clean and organized. Super impressive selection of italian wines and even larger selection (so it seems) of olive oil. The man at the cheese counter was very knowledgeable about cheese and let us try a few to figure out what we wanted.

linda hayes

I don't care for their spaghetti. Too al dente. Sauce was sparse.

Jaime V

Cool bar. Nice store overall. Crowded with tourists. Expect to overpay (understandably so - due to very nice location)

Shailabh Shah

Amazing pizza! What set's it apart from everyone else is actually they're gluten free pizza. My wife is gluten intolerant and their pizza is hands down the best in that realm. I've compared it to their regular Neopolitan pizza and it's so similar! Highly recommend. Estimated dinner for two will run you around $110

Doug Collins

Every single time we visit Chicago we go to Eataly at least once, often multiple times. The prime rib sandwich upstairs is amazing. My wife loves the coffee and I like the selection if sweets. Worth the trip if you're in Chicago.

Ava Wu

Had lunch at la pizza & la pasta and the pasta dish was delicious and in good proportion. Eataly is a great place to shop and dine. Don’t forget the gelato!

Lu Gan

Love seafood in eataly... so many choices for the Olive oil and win options... Love it ...

Brandon Best

Had some Fantastic Cannoli with super rich Hot Chocolate.

Angelina Alicea

I love this place!!! The food, staff and atmosphere is so amazing!! All the place to pick and choose from are all very delicious!! Every time I come to Chicago I eat here at least 3 times!!

Chris Mulvey

We had another great experience at Eataly Chicago. We browsed around a bit and made our way to Pizza and Pasta restaurant on the second floor. Food was great and our server was very attentive and friendly. After dinner, we went back downstairs to grab some desserts and coffee. I had an espresso shakero with orange, it was very delicious. Would have liked to do the amaretto one but unfortunately out of it.

Matthew Klimuszka

If you enjoy good food, this place is heaven on earth. I started to tear up as I stood in front of a whole wall of different pesto. I ate at one of the sit down restaurants and had a glorious light margarita pizza. Then finished it up with mind blowing hazelnut Gelato.

Tammy Lawson

Very good place staff was so nice. Food was good.

Aubrey Martin

Such a fun time wandering and exploring all the wines and yummy bites and desserts. So many places to eat your heart out, and is such a fun and clean and lovely atmosphere. Can get crowded, but is so big you hardly notice! Delicious!

richard kalu

Great plane to chillax, grab food and drinks. There are so many food options. You can do some shopping at the same time. Don't forget to validate your parking ticket. Saves you some $$$

Dominique Harris

Great selections but really busy. Wait times at least 45mins

Linda Lizzi

Great service. Fun shopping and wonderful menu selection

Dan Moffett

Love this place for lunch. The entire store is awesome. The food is great and the shopping is amazing. Perfect place for a date night or to buy a gift for someone!

Terry Fields

The layout is fantastic. All of the restaurants and shops inside are great. The food was pretty good also.

Joe Calmese

The food was absolutely fantastic! Great vegan spaghetti noodles. Would highly recommend.

Aman Gudluri

It's terrible. I cannot say this enough. The food truly sucks. No, I'm not a disgruntled customer. No, the service wasn't bad (it was great actually) and no, this isn't in any way, an attempt to make the restaurant look bad for no reason. The food is just genuinely, undoubtedly, undeniably bad.

Anthony Salerno

Fantastic food. Great service. Came in a bit late but they took us anyway -- the pizze were delicious with fresh sauce, a crispy crust, and cheese that was to die for

Sandra Rice

The food was good but not enough for the money.

Matthew McRitchie

Great value, family friendly, high quality food. The eats are good as is the shopping. Was a highlight of our trip to the Windy City.

Minjin Kim

The front of house lady is so rude. I just asked to change my seat from a bar table to a normal chair table since I am pregnant. The lady even did not look at me and threw the menu to the table I pointed. Did I do something wrong??? It was 3:30 pm and so the restaurant was almost half empty. I really want to complain this to a higher person of the restaurant.

Andres Jaramillo

Pizza undercooked, pasta overcooked.... Returned both. Nice decorations

Alex K

Awesome place we stumbled upon. Lots of Italian bakery, drinks and everything else in between. Second floor is watery and cafes really awesome.

Michelle FT

Friendly wait staff, intriguing atmosphere, reasonable prices, and amazing food!

Monica Netkow

I love love love Eatley. However today was a terrible experience. I sat at the counter and ordered a pasta dish. After I ordered never saw the waitress again. Had to go hunt down my check. The pasta was awful. After one bite I should have walked out. Couldn't complain since I couldn't find the waitress. Also when purchasing items I asked for something specific and the girl didnt didnt know not did she try to find out. Just a bad day.

Annette Glover

The atmosphere and wine selection. I haven't eaten there yet....I plan on it very soon.

Mason Lugo

Great place! Had the lasagna, pizza and ravioli. Everything came out speedy and delicious. Also downstairs we had some gelato and canolis.

V. C. Tirumalai

Had both the pizza and pasta. Both were well going here for. They have a real Wood burning Neapolitan oven that cooks the pizza in 90 seconds or so. I wanted the fresh pasta, so I was limited to the raviolis as the other stuff is meat oriented. They have a bigger selection of dried pasta for Vegetarians, but those are cooked al dente, which I don't like. A couple of really well made cannolli and tiramisu rounded our meal. And they have deep fried rice balls as appetizers, which you should also try. All in all, worth it.

Iesha Robinson

Everything is GREAT! The service, the shopping, the drinks, the food, the environment, it was fabulous. We ate at the Pizza and Pasta restaurant and as someone who has been to Italy, the food is authentic as you can get!

Joe Solomon

Great food, great atmosphere, awesome experience! Will definitely be back

Daniel Thomas

I've been here twice now. Pros: Food is delicious Cons: very crowded, small portions, literally fighting for a table during dinner rush, overpriced. To me it's not worth all the cons to get delicious food since there are other options close by without all the pains of going here.

E D

Worth every penny. The pasta was to die for. The experience was incredible. Everything was outstanding from the service to the food. I loved it so much that I actually ordered another round of my meal to go to enjoy later that evening. The portions are just right so you don't feel overfull and the store is amazing.

Daryl Wheeler

The pasta and pizza were incredible, fantastic service, and finished with gelato and cannoli. Grabbed an espresso for the road. Fun place to wander around.

From out of town! Stop by here! You can get wine, pasta, cheese, bread, meat, and fish. Try everything here and relax. Plenty of places to enjoy wine and everything else. Such a big place with 2 floors of restaurants and a grocery store. You can spend a few hours here or try things from Italy!!!

A big rip off. Nickel and dimes you for everything. Extra sauce pay more. Extra pesto pay more. Expect to drop a 60, and walk out still hungry. Won't go back.

Cesare Ramoni

Took the pizza salsicciotta; it was really good. Also the gelato is good, a little bit pricey but still good.

A must go to if you like Italian.

We ate at La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly last night and we didn’t plan well at all. We had a hungry 6 year old who was not going to make it the 40 minutes we needed to wait. The desk made a fantastic suggestion to order her pizza so that she could eat sooner while we waited. AMAZING! Not only did she get a personal, heart shaped pizza (which was soooooo yummy) but the rest of us could have a drink and enjoy ourselves while we waited. Thank you!!!

Service and food was phenomenal. I want to go back already even though I was just there! They have so many food options there all within a giant market. I can’t wait to go back!

Great service and fabulous food. Salmon and pasta

My wife and I love Eataly. They have so many high quality items in stock, including but not limited to a great meat and cheese departments, a huge wine selection, and several restaurants. We try to stop here anytime we make the trip to downtown Chicago.

Good food made from fresh ingredients. Choices for everyone (gluten free, vegetarian, meat, hearty dishes, and lighter fare). Upbeat ambiance.

the place is fantastic. you cannot stop eating

Excellent Italian specialty market in downtown Chicago. They offer multiple places to enjoy a meal within the market or you can purchase ingredients and cook your own. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Chicago The only complaint was they did not have staff to accommodate the crowd

Amy Robertsonsmith

Such a fun place to shop with so many options to sit down and enjoy some delicious food and take in the ambiance and people watching. The staff is amazing.

The Margherita Rustica pizza was great...the tomatoes were sweet and delicious and the buffalo mozzarella was full of flavor. The Lo Spaghetto al Pomodoro was rediculously salty to the point we couldn't it eat and we sent it back. Exchanged it for tiramisu which was tasty. Ended the meal with a double espresso at Caffè Vergnano which was strong and rich.

Samuel Kent

Say what you will about Chicago style pizza, this is my favorite pizza place in all of the city when what you want is a simple slice of decent pie.

Hector Hum

Excellent location for a range of cooked foods. The meat counter was very impressive with the dry-aged beef.

I consider myself a foodie but Eataly changed my expectations of Italian cuisine. They offer an authentic al dente pasta that is unmatched elsewhere. This is a must for any travelers visiting Chicago. I often purchase their pasta and sauces as gifts for out of town family and friends.

Beautiful Italian grocery store, you get everything you just name it ,wide selection of cheese, wine, pastas, breads, meat, fish. They have food joint too where they serve freshly made pastas, pizzas and more. I completely loved the store where i can buy the grocery and can eat my lunch and dinner as well.

Laura W

Amazing for authentic Italian food groceries! Pricey though!

Ruy Filho

Italian market with a remarkable products, wine selection is out this word, every section is full with italianvfood and delicacies. Love this market.

Zachary Miller

Great produce, poor service. Cashier asks you to bin your own basket.

Steve Fittes

Great food! The entire Eataly experience is wonderful. Food & Wine heaven!!

We were surprised when we talked in thinking it was just a small grocer but as you walk around you find all the neat little cafes- coffee, pastries, pastas, etc. Plenty of seating so you can relax after all the walking on the Magnificent Mile. Service was quick (minutes!) for fresh pasta and the servers were friendly. It won't break the bank either. If you're looking for something quick, fresh and flavorful stop in and give it a try.

Portions were pathetic, taste was bland and pretty high priced food. We asked for some tomato sauce on the side and were not informed it would be extra $2. Wouldn't ever go again.

Love early for all my Italian shopping and gelatos are the best here .

Terrible experience, we'll never eat there again as we missed all the fun of going out for dinner. We were a party of 6 for dinner on a Friday. The service was just bad, after being seated, we were brought bread and olive oil but no waiter showed up until we called for help. A manager had to take our order on a sheet of paper and we were not even offered to order drinks. Our table ordered pizzas and pastas, the pizzas came very quick but the pastas were not served at the same time. Apparently, the waiter we did not have forgot to mention the pasta needed to be boiled on order and would take much much longer than the pizzas. Well, this is not a fast food chain and it's basic principle of restaurant service: all guests should be served at the same time or very close. This killed all the fun and we did not want to order drinks and spend more time there. Now, let's talk about the food, the pasta tasted good but nothing really original, it was basic sauces and the portion size was very small. As for the pizza, my reaction when I saw them was: "This is a joke" On a mozarella pizza, there was barely mozarella and the rest was plain tomato sauze... . On a Quattro Formaggi, there was cheese only near the center and the crust was almost 2 inches wide leaving just a small area that was not just bread. The portion size was also ridiculous, we had a kid with us and he ate a adult size pizza and was still hungry. Come on, this is pasta and pizza and basic sauces, it does not cost much to fill a plate with a normal dinner portion (we don't even need leftovers). Overall, the food was not great and we did not even have the fun of sharing a meal and drinks with friend, we had to eat in turns, watch each other eating and get our drinks somewhere else. Fooled me once, never again ....

If you want to find Italian product for a reasonable price, it’s the place to go!

Norman Wollach

Outstanding! Go! It's an experience. Have a glass of wine while you shop. What more needs to said?!
