One of my favorite places in IL... great sandwiches. Today I had the Provo...turkey, provolone, avocado, grilled into toasty deliciousness. Had the fries for the first time...especially tasty and crispy.
Love this place! Best gluten free crust anywhere.
Just found out about the lunch special and I'm a HUGE fan. Not only do you get to choose two options from their lunch special menu but you also get a free cookie treat! I had their salad & pepperoni pizza (ironic combo). I did not have to wait long and it tasted great. The waitresses were also very helpful and readily available. I would definitely recommend going here if you're ever looking for a good lunch!
Beautiful ambience with funky quotes and light strings all over the place. The staff were super nice and explained everything in detail. We were a large party but they still managed to get us a spot as soon as they can, asked us for preference and changed it again when we asked for a different area. They also have a patio area which is equally good. Not sure but I think you can take your dog there. Food was also really good. The buffalo chicken salad was a standout. Would recommend 100% as a place to go out with friends over a weekend or just a week day!
Super fun spot! Lound and lively.
Looking at the reveiws I thought this was a good place but when I ordered couple slice of pizza and it wasn't hot and appetizing. I didn't even finish the whole thing. I guess it was just my bad luck. Workers are very nice though.
Love this place for hanging out and enjoying a gluten free pizza. Plenty of options, great beer on tap and friendly service! It's a great place with a fun atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating!
I like the atmosphere & the positivity of the workers here! Bathroom is nice & so is the seating. Very unique, the designs/signage around the restaurant is great.
Such a beautiful patio. Delicious crust. Really fun time here
Always good pizza, I am gluten free and it’s very delicious. Although they don’t have gluten free ranch... how do you not have hidden valley with pizza?! Otherwise still good. Small is decent for 1 person. The potato skins are yummy!!
Best restaurant in Chicago and I will fight you in a steel cage match if you disagree with me. Look I know it’s not on some fancy, user-friendly interactive Eater list and it doesn’t have a Michelin Star yet, but if you are looking for a spot to bring friends that will make them say “Great choice, ____, that place was awesome” go to Homeslice. The aesthetic will make you feel like you have significance and are an influencer even if you are just some JAG eating a medium ‘Knife and Forkner’ by yourself. This place rules
Can't beat good pizza, good wine, and a flamingo party straw
Love this place and the pizza. The Calzones are really good too. They're more like little backed sandwiches. Super yummy. A little pricey for that sort of food, but you get what you pay for.
Great service and fun atmosphere!
Great food, very nice place
Stopped here with a family of 5. I like you can order personalized pizzas because it's difficult to agree on toppings. The service was a bit slow but the food was delicious.
Loved this atmosphere. It’s full of wood log walls, hanging lights, and copper walls. The pizza was incredible and the 6-Pack cooler was a surprisingly good deal that came with a koozie. Plus they have Do-Rite donuts which was a pleasant surprise. The service was phenomenal and the amount of TVs to watch football is incredible. Highly recommend.
Great area great atmosphere the patio is so freaking cute and most importantly the food
The pizza here for gluten free folks is really good. The staff is also always laid back and really nice.
Great handmade (thin crust) pizza and atmosphere! We went during the afternoon for lunch when it was quiet - it was very relaxing overall. Loved the flavor combinations for pizzas and appetizers! Can't wait to come back when it gets a little warmer and the outdoor seating opens up!
Great waiter great food and wonderful ambiance!
I was checking out some pizza places on my Christmas trip to Chicago, and this was my first stop. The prices were good, and the quality of food was fantastic. I went around 2-3 pm, so the place was relatively empty.
We're always eating at Homeslice. If we have family and friends visiting or we if want to just go out for some great pizza. Just an awesome place with awesome pizza and awesome staff. Can't get enough
Great thin crust pizza! I enjoyed the appetizers as well. The garlic bread if servers with roasted garlic, which is yummy. If you stay long enough, you may be treated to a s'mores donut. Enjoy!
Good pizza, good crust, came out piping hot. We went on a Friday night and it took about an hour for our pizza to come out. Thought that was a little long. Good beer selection
Suggestion for Homeslice: please make your nutrition information available for the items on your menu. I come to BB all the time, but this is the one draw back! Love the salads...but who knows how many calories are in them...
As a celiac who has tried endless gluten and dairy free options I must say the pizza here at homeslice was HANDS DOWN THE BEST GLUTEN AMD DAIRY FREE PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I am blown away at how incredibly scrumptious it was. We had a fantastic server named Lauren who was a real gem. Her charisma, knowledge of the menu and overall good vibes made for a great night. I will be coming back here again! THANK YOU HOMESLICE!
SUPER LONG WAIT. Expect to wait a good 1.5hrs+ if you're going on the weekend. The pizza was worth the wait though! And the holiday decorations were astonishing!
Their food is nice. The atmosphere is pretty chill and the staff is friendly. What I liked the most is an unusual interior.
Quality ingredients, good pizza with a real nice thin crust. It's a good middle ground between crispy and a soft crust. Inventive mix of ingredients leads to interesting combinations. You can't try them all in one sitting, but definitely come with friends, order different things and share! Service was good, beer selection was nice (perhaps a better bottle selection would be nice), but all and all I'd recommend it. Will definitely be back.
Great service, pizza is unique. Cool place to hang out.
Had pizza and salad! So good!
Super Adorable ,outdoor and indoor and I'm obsessed wth their decor
busy, crowds, lots of fun. Good service, foods, drink. We went on a busy Satur night at prime time. Families, college kids. Very fun place. Be prepared for a little loud. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Alcohol and non alcohol are all fun.
This pizza was delicious! The crust was thin and crispy! We came during a Christmas visit to Chicago and the entire place was decked out in Christmas decorations! That made the experience there even cooler! My son thought we were at the North Pole!
The decor is what made me want to come in, but the service is what will make me go back for sure. Also, the penny floor in the bathrooms is sick!
Great Pizza in Chicago is hard to find and you can find it here. I have had one negative experience here due to issues of being busy and rushed, but what I can say is that the management took care of everything and addressed issues professionally and courteously. I will be coming back because of how they fix mistakes after making them. Kudos homeslice!
Incredible pizza and atmosphere!
Place has got some energy and it's a bit hustle and bustle, so don't go there during peak times and expect to have a quiet chat. Food is good, some decent options and a few choices for vegetarian and gluten free. They make their own gluten free crust, which is a huge plus. When it's busy, the food can drag a little, but the service has been good when I've gone there.
It was good .The first time I actually sat down inside and had the opportunity to taste the food rather than drive by and enjoy the smells. Nice atmosphere not badly priced. Food was good even though I didn't have any pizza, the food was good and when I'm in the area I'll definitely stop back in.
Pizza is great! Same with the appetizer. Relatively fast service with very nice staff. I really wish they said how many people each pizza size feeds (a large for two people is WAY too much) but still tasty overall!
Great food and service!! Cool ambience and we were seated promptly.
Decent food, great atmosphere, terrible service. Not that busy with a ton of waiters around, and we only saw our waitress every 20 minutes, if that. Had to track her down at the end after telling her we wanted our check, because she was MIA after 20 minutes.
A delightful place for dinner - the back room/covered patio is an exceptionally magical space - lights, plants, colors, sunlight, comfy furnishings. The Ava-Lance pizza was delicious (we got a large for 4 adults and that was perfect). The Bloody Marys are excellent - can't wait to try their special Bloodys served at brunch (supposed to be some of Chicago's best). The service was super friendly, helpful (but not overbearing), and went above and beyond to make us feel special. Highly recommend for small groups.
Love homeslice. The pizza is excellent, location is perfect, ambience is cozy and hip. Highly suggest checking it out.
Atmosphere, food, drinks, service - everything was great! Very enjoyable experience! Can't wait to go back!
Great pizza with hip and artsy decor inside. Gray spots for pictures and a good vibe for hanging out and catching up with friends. Lots of funny phrases on the walls!
Stumbled across this place on accident while on my way to another restaurant my boyfriend and I couldn't find. The food is AMAZING and the staff is so kind!
Great pizza, really cool atmosphere. I could hang out all night with friends here. Love the funky decor.
Great food, good company. I really loved the whole atmosphere it was very comfortable and laid back. Our waiter knew a lot which really helped since this was our first time going. ❤
Reviewing the take out experience, ordered a medium pepperoni. Pizza was cooked and ready promptly, fast and friendly checkout experience. Pizza itself was rsther unremarkable. Gas oven cooked, medium thickness dough with a nice sauce and good cheese ratio. Above chain pizzerias but not much to make it stand out.
Great food and drink and even better atmosphere. Staff is always super nice
Love the ambiance. Great food and bar menu.
Pizzas were good, but I feel like they could use more cheese. The bread/crust is really good and marinara sauce is very garlicky so I was happy. Had a great drinks selection. Very hipster/hard to describe atmosphere bc it’s all over the place but it was nice non the less. I would come back here
Food was amazing and atmosphere was beautiful. The only issue I had was that it took a while for us to get our food. The reason for that is because the place is really popular
So cute and amazing pizza and atmosphere.
Great place, very open, tasty pizza and friendly staff.
Mind the EL noise, but great foodstuffs!
Amazing great pizza! Delicious bloody mary!
Pizza was so tasty & filling! I got a small personal pizza for myself and had a beer! Nice place to hangout with friends and a cool scenery to enjoy while eating there!
Unique layout and location. They were able to accommodate the different food needs of people in our party and the wait staff was exceptionally helpful and kind.
Love this place! Great staff! Fun, friendly environment! Manager Kim is the absolute best!!!
I really like to have a Chance to enjoy the patio with my kids too the location is great the decoration is fun....
Would have given 4 but hostess sat is at an undesirable table many open cool seats but not ours food was good and service was quick will go again
Incredibly delicious pizza! Great spot to bring your date, friends, or family to have a nice night out. The ambience they've created is gorgeous. The string lights on the ceiling make you feel like your eating with the stars.
Amazing salads!!! Add protein or order as is. SO GOOD. Only wish they had gluten free bread or hot coffee on their menu. They do have canned Stumptown cold brew though.
Beautiful place lit up with mini LED Lights. Lot of variety in food, delicious pizza. A must visit restaurant in Chicago.
Great atmosphere and food. Service was great! My toddler loved his s'mores dessert!
My recent visit to Paradise Park reminded me to leave a review for Homeslice... I can't speak highly enough of Homeslice - I don't think I've had one bad experience here. I have never waited longer than 20-25 minutes for a table (once, my two friends and I waited almost 2 hours...but our fault, we went on a Saturday night at 8PM...). Food is great and service is always wonderful. Whenever I have friends in from out of town I bring them here. Goat Cheese bread sticks are phenomenal and the Clay Bacon is A+. Thanks Homeslice!
Great service and atmosphere...very hip, has great "Instagram worthy" decorations.. As for food - personal size pizzas are pefectly cooked and absolutely delicious!
This is a great place to meet friends. We love their back patio. They have great cocktails and good food.
Really confused came here last Sunday with my boyfriend loved how everything was decorated they asked for my ID, but we just came in for pizza? Then I come in today with my brother and my boyfriend which is 21 & I’m 20 they asked for my ID and I was oddly confused because I just wanted my brother to try the pizza. They said we can take takeout but we can’t eat Inside? I was oddly confused then they asked if I had a fake? I drove all the way from Plainfield to dine in and I wasn’t able to? I understand they have liquor, but Olive Garden sells it. Many restaurants have liquor we came to have pizza, so I’m confused how this all makes any sense if I was just there the other week and came back and can’t have some pizza. I’ll pass. Not wasting my time coming here anymore for sure
Honestly not to exaggerate but this place is by far for me personally the best pizza place to go to and for a reasonable price as well. The scenery is amazing like for a casual go out or a small date night. But everything was delicious and made from scratch. Just amazing. And the customer service is on point. The only thing that threw me off was being seated next to another couple and it was me who ultimately noticed like 4 empty booths and was changed upon request and also soft drinks are not included on menu. Other than that it was great.
Such a dope and cute spot. The drinks and the food were amazing and the atmosphere was so fun. I went when it wasn't too busy but I imagine it gets wild later on. I will be coming back to see that.
Fantastic Date Spot. This is my go to when meeting new friends or people in Chicago. The atmosphere is fun, casual, and laid back making this the ultimate get to know you atmosphere. The pizza is phenomenal!
We’ve had a great experience every time we’ve dined in or ordered out. Atmosphere is great and so is the pizza. The mozzarella cheese sticks are amazing.
My favorite thin crust pizza in all of Chicago! The atmosphere is fun. There are big tv screens, so that you can watch sports. The music is upbeat and loud. You can also sit in the back patio. I like to order for carry-out. The service is always fast, efficient, and friendly. The menu has lots of options, so it is a good place to eat with a group.
Awesome comfort food restaurant :) The interior is really cute and the pizza was simply delicious!
Every time I go here I love it even more
Really great atmosphere. Beautiful outdoor area in the back with lots of colors, a swing, big tables for big groups. There's even an Airstream that's been converted into a large seating area. This place is great all year around. The drinks are fun and the decor is great. The food is good, mainly focused on pizzas, but recently added a seasonal menu with things like quesadillas, burgers, and salads. The blood Mary's come with a slice of pizza! Beers are served with coozies, always fun!
Obviously the ambiance and decor are enough of a reason to visit Homeslice. The menu is hip with nice variety of pizza creations. It's not the greatest pizza in Chicago but it's a FUN and tasty experience
Service was poor. Slow and forgetful. Pizza was not good either. The cream cheese based pizza meant soggy crust.
Really enjoyed their pizza!
The interior of the place is so pretty! I have never seen that many fairy lights.. you should check out their winter garden at the back! And yes their pizzas are great ;)
Great atmosphere! They have dozens of creative pizza options and never skimp on the cheese. They also offer gluten free crust. I wasn't too impressed by the mule I drank; however, there are plenty of other drinks to try and beers on tap.
This place is too good. Friendly people and friendly environment.
Great service and AMAZING PIZZA!!! We asked for a custom pizza that wasn’t on the menu and they didn’t blink an eye at our request. They made it exactly as we’d asked and it was PERFECT! Our waitress was fantastic. She wasn’t annoyingly overbearing and she wasn’t hard to find if we needed anything either. It’s such a cool atmosphere here. We saw the patio from the L on our way back to our condo and though it looked cool so we walked back and had dinner. It was a good decision. The crowd was mostly college aged, young adults. We were a bit older than most everyone there, but it was a perfectly inviting space.
Top 5 best pizza in Chicago, hands down. Maybe even within the top 3. Huge selection of straight up genius concoctions.
Hip & trendy place to go for decent slice & good service.
great for local and all. clean roomy dining area inside and outside. friendly staff great food
Great salads and pizza. Did not give it five stars due to having to ask for silverware more than once.
Super cool atmosphere and homemade gluten free crust!! They also had gluten free breaded appetizers which is very rare. My heart just about exploded. The green house seating was super chic. A great place to grab a pizza and hang for a bit. We will definitely return when in Chicago again!
Always great service at the bar! Delicious food and great ambiance
Great lunch special. Slice of pizza and salad for $10. Food is pretty good, too. Friendly staff.
Good pizza and atmosphere for lunch
Amazing scenery and great food, service is also very nice
Liked the Samilton pizza. Whatever you do, stay away from "Mr. Sanchez" pizza (Horrible experience unless you are in LOVE with burritos).
Cool atmosphere and good service. No deep dish pizza unfortunately, but the food they do have is excellent. A+ on the Christmas decorations too, as evidenced by the photos.
Yummy in my tummy. Nice decor, great for dinner. The only problem is parking.
Excellent service. Even better pizza.
not too pricey, but very good pizzas. large pizza could feed 4 people if they're very very hungry.
Excellent pizza and great service in an extremely cool spot. I had the gluten free and the crust was crunchy and delicious. Fresh toppings and just the right amount if sauce made it perfect for me.
Food was very good. Pizza had fresh ingredients and was piping hot. I had the cider drink, it was delish. I would definitely go back. We sat outside, it was a chilly evening, but they had heaters
Good atmosphere, GREAT food, exceptional service.
Great food! The place was extremely busy but it didn't seem to affect service in any way. Very cool atmosphere too.
Build your own pizza you can't go wrong nice atmosphere indoor and outdoor seating.
Pleasant and attentive staff who made good recommendations to first timers. We ordered Gf pizza, the crust could have been more crisp, the regular pizza with green peppers, black olives and sausage was delightful. Try it and request the crust be cooked to your specifications.
I can’t eat cheese, so finding a pizza place that is able to make a great cheese-less pizza is super important to me! The vibe is fun and they have a great beer selection. It’s super close to the L too. We’ll definitely be back!
Casual and fun place with consistently great service. Very family friendly, also has adults only section in the covered patio in the back, which makes it feel like summer year-round, and accommodating for those with dietary restrictions (e.g. gluten, dairy). Don't just stick with the pizza - brunch items, the turkey calzone, and the salads as wraps are actually some menu favorites!
Had a salad that I modified bc I'm vegan. Salads arent always on point but this one was AMAZING. I also had the veggie pizza with vegan cheese and it also was AMAZING. The decor was very nice to especially the view looking up
Went there for St. Patricks with a group of friends. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The place is also very nicely decorated and the patio is perfect for the upcoming spring and summer months. The food and beer menu were also extensive and delicious. All of our pizzas and calzones were good and filling.
Their pizza and apps are AMAZING and the atmosphere is so fun. Great time for a group of friends and for family.
A great spot for pizza and beers. There are great outdoor seating areas along the sidewalks along with a "see through roof" and a small outdoor space again in the back. Very friendly staff! I highly recommend checking this place out!
One of my favorite pizza places in Chicago. Very fast and lots of options. The atmosphere is quite nice as well.
The price was surprising cheap for a bar in the north side. The pizza was good.
Very unique and enjoyable atmosphere. The pizza choices were eclectic but incredibly tasty. The service was great too! We had a larger group of about 8 and were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. Ten minutes later we were seated at a table. Of course this won't always be everyone's situation, but it was really nice to be seated ahead of time on a busy Saturday night. Finally, our server was fantastic. Clearly quite good at his job. I wish I could remember his name but he knew how to provide a professional demeanor all the while relating to us and making jokes from the start. He had about shoulder-length hair, wore a backwards cap and like Champions league soccer (I think!), if that helps identify an employee that should be recognized!
Really solid neighborhood mainstay know for its pizza. Had an Oktoberfest beer and the Chia bowl. Server told me it wasn't very popular and I probably wouldn't like it. Fortunately I like healthy food and being a contrarian so it was a delight. Would definitely have it again!
Went in on a Saturday night and they don’t serve pizza slices.
Good pizza. Different from typical Chicago style. If you like garlic, they do whatever we cloves.
Pizza was really tasty and the prices weren't terrible. Good value overall. My only gripe would be how off our estimated wait time was. We were told 40-50 minute wait but it took more than 1 1/2 hours to get our table. It was a Friday night, so we expected to wait but would have went somewhere else if we had known.
Fun drinks and an interesting selection of pizzas
A modern take on traditional pizza. I have been here twice and will definitely come back for more I normally dont go out of my way for pizza but this place is AMAZING. The FunkyMcChicken and Mr.Garcia are sooo good
My favorite was the garlic bread that was served very thoughtfully and differently. Best pizza dining! A wonderful place for a casual dinner with your partner / friends. I randomly found this place to spend some special time with my husband. we enjoyed our time and food there. Would definitely visit again!
Went for brunch. Service was great but food was only okay. We got the breakfast calzone and a veggie pizza. The dough was great but the pizza was overwhelmed with canned black olives and roasted peppers. A few slices of high quality black olives would have been way better than the 100 bland canned ones on our pizza and same goes for the peppers. Probably won't go back.
Great selection of Pizza, cocktails and Calzone!
We have gotten pizza from Homeslice (both pick up and dine-in) about 10 times, and every single pizza has been fantastic. We're partial to the veggie pizzas, and they don't skimp on the veggies. Cozy booths, beautiful twinkle lights during Christmastime, and not so loud that you can't carry a conversation during dinner. Steadily becoming our favorite Chicago pizza.
Megan was the best server I've ever had. Great pizza too
