Fun bar! Drink prices weren't outrageous and there was no cover on a Friday night. The games are free to play too, which I only realized after shelling 10 dollars in quarters into games--still worth it though ha. Its definitely worth checking out.

Atmosphere was great, servers were great! Halloween party was Amazing! Contest winners were on a whole other level! But the prices were disgusting and will definitely be the reason I would not frequent this bar. It's an amazing concept and beautifully executed, just so way overpriced for a TINY drink that it's only worth showing up if you can hide flasks in your pockets.

This bar was the perfect hangout spot for us on a Saturday evening. With plenty of free-play arcade machines (and a few pay-to-play), they've got something for everyone, whether you're looking to make new friends or show off your competitive spirit. HQ has at least a dozen craft brews on tap in addition to a decent selection of cans and cocktails. I can't speak to their food options, but they do serve shareable snacks, burgers, and things.

Very fun place to visit. They have awesome games, which are free, with the exception of one or two or so. The dj plays good music and the place all around looks cool. The drinks are over priced but a good selection and some unique mixes.

This place is the epitome of adult nostalgia. Nothing like a classic games, great food and a few beers. I ordered some mozzarella sticks and fries and it definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere is super chill but had an excitement to it reminiscent of the old-school arcade feel with the addition of cupholders to set your drinks up at whatever game you play. The staff was very friendly and very willing to answer any questions I had. They even let me know that they rotate games about every month so I'll DEFINITELY be going back again soon.

This place is such a fun time if you love arcades. They have a great selection of beers from local breweries on tap. The service is great. All the games work and they have 2 floors. I will definitely go back I recommend this for a group night out.

After refusing to let our entire wedding party in (12 people) because one of our number was wearing basketball shorts on a Saturday we finally cajoled our way In. Apparently the owners were mad because people want to play the games at their arcade and not just get drunk. And this is my wedding, ya know? We are gamers. We came here to be with our people. The accessible bathroom in the 'ladies' (no genderless bathrooms here) was unusable. The stall I chose next to it had no t.p. if you actually want to play games I suggest you head uptown to Logan Arcade or Emporium. I feel very grateful the manager let us be there but at the same time....I don't want to have to feel grateful you let me and 11 of my friends buy booze at your place.

Was in town for a music festival, but by the third day I was drained. After a quick Google, found this place. Was excited by the Pinball Map App that said they had a lot of machines. Turns out there is two levels, and the second level is only open on Friday and Saturday (understandable, I'll have to come back on a Friday or Saturday to check out level two). They had a good selection of arcade cabinets and pinball. They even have the new Jurrasic Park! The beer selection was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the loaded fries which were good. The rest of the menu looked excellent as well. All in all, a real treat! It is a must-go if you wanna play some games. Even better that they are on free play!

I love the place!!! Besides great vibes, music, and games, I love that this place is super unpretentious. There is no cover fee, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the games are free. I got the strawberry mangroni pop and I don’t think there was much alcohol in it but it tasted good. There is a nice beer selection as well. All-in-all a must visit place in Chicago!

I cannot say how much fun I truly have when I visit. Especially since I go alone on Mondays. I cannot resist their selection of games, the movies they play on the flatscreens, the drinks , annnnnndddd the food. I am completely in love with the Cali burger. I get it every time I visit. I absolutely love the service I receive and cannot picture myself cheating on this Headquarters with a different location! This picture does not give the burger justice. I definitely recommend this place to Anyone over the age of 21 who appreciates good music, movies, beers/drinks, food, games, and great service.

Very cool theme, but way too crowded. Hard to move around, let alone get a machine. They had 3 different areas of the bar sectioned off for parties , greatly reducing the number of machines. Also they charge for the cost check, kind of petty.

Oh wow I haven’t left a review for this place yet. Well, since I am such a big deal (seven star local google guide) I will change my review from three stars to five stars. BECAUSE OF FUCKY BRINCH. The bartenders aren’t that great but this Sunday party is the best thing you will ever see on a Sunday. Fun is an understatement. Make sure you get tickets in advance. It is a lot of fun.

This place was great! It was cool to relive moments of my childhood playing the same arcade games I did and the roller rink in my home town. A group of us came here for food and drinks before a beer festival and the food did not disappoint. I had some pizza rolls appetizer and it was so good. They were topped with fresh, finely chopped or shredded cheese. It was almost like a powder. They didn't explode with volcano heat when you bit into them too, which can be a hazard with pizza rolls. Just talking about them is making me hungry again.

No less then six version of Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Time Crisis, Tekken, Terminator, 10+ pinball machines, Pac-man, Digdug, Primal Rage, Total Carnage (which me and my bud played Start to Finish) and so many more. Don't forget this place has a level 2. Best part is all the games are totally free and the beer was fantastic. They had a live DJ blaring tunes and some old classic movies on TVs. All in all super good times.

Headquarters in River North has changed a lot since its debut in the area. When it first arrived you had access to both floors whenever you went, the music was good but not as loud, and there just seemed to be a better vibe in the place. Now for the most part you only have access to the first floor (in my opinion there's better games on the bottom floor) and it seems to have gotten louder. I enjoy coming here early in the evening or early on the weekends. By the time night rolls around it is extremely crowded and can be hard to get onto a game and you can't talk to someone standing right next to you. The slower hours are 5 stars for me, the busy hours 3 stars so I averaged it to 4. They have fun cocktails and a fun concept. I also really like that the games here are free unlike some of their competitors.

Cool idea and place, it's just extremely loud. The drinks are pretty pricey, unless you're buying something draft be prepared to shell out. Food is pretty good, some little twists on typical bar food. Very extensive game collection, so if you're out for some old 80s and 90s arcade feels this is the place. All games are free, just be prepared to wait your turn for the old hits like you used to back then...

Went at around noon on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and professional. Our bartender was awesome and made delicious drinks. I highly recommend the Saturday Detention. My friend ordered the truffle fries and the portion was large and they were delicious! Very fun place, love the variety of the games. We will be back!

Went with a friend for dinner. Waiting staff refused service at dinner table because I'd previously bought one drink at the bar and the server was worried she wouldn't make money. We're both polite people and fully intended to buy dinner and drinks at the dinner table, plus we're generous tippers. Because of the petty attitude of the wait staff, I'll never go back there again. Embarrassing.

This was an awesome place that I went to for the first time. The place had reasonable drinks and all the video games in the arcade was free. My friend that I went with ended up knowing the general manager and he hooked us up. even though the downstairs arcade was not open we got super VIP treatment and were able to go downstairs and play the video game of our choice for free. in addition the food came out pretty fast although it wasn't all that great. I would not recommend eating here but I would recommend visiting because of the drinks, the ambience, and the free games!

Great arcade and bar. Love all of the classic pinball machines and video games. Adams Family, Attack from Mars, Pole Position. The wall of cassette tapes is pretty amazing as well, hard not to think every album from the 80s isn’t on that wall.

I had went to Beercade with a group of friends last night (Saturday night). There were 2 issues we ended up having while buying drinks. The first time, a guy in our group was buying multiple shots and he had told the bartender (white blonde girl) what 2 of the shots were going to be and had told her told hold on a sec to pour the other 2 while he asked us what we wanted. The bartender proceeded to pour all 4 of the shots with whiskey when we only wanted 2 of the shots to be whiskey. We asked her if she could pour us the correct drinks we had asked for and she rudely said she couldn’t. Mind you....she said she already charged his card before he even told her what we all wanted. She could of easily poured out 2 of the 4 shots and switched it with what we actually wanted seeing as this was her fault to begin with. I just found it absolutely rude and inconsiderate to not correct her mistake. The second incident happened at the other bar upstairs when we had ordered another set of (I believe yager bombs??) whatever shot that you have to drop the shot glass into the bigger glass and drink. So we had already done 1 round at that second bar top. When we ordered the second round of yager bombs, for some reason the bartender decided to give of the shot glass and a shorter glass to drop our shot glass in. The shot glass didn’t even fit all the way into the glass the bartender gave us so we couldn’t even enjoy the shot. We had asked her why she gave us a shorter glass than before and her and another bartender jokingly were telling us that we can still take the shot how it was. Which is completely ridiculous that we paid money for the bartender to not even give us the appropriate shot. She acted like there wasn’t any clean glasses even though I saw the correct glasses right behind her. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and with bartenders and I thought the treatment we were given was totally uncalled for. We were not out of control drunk by any means so we were not being rude back. I expect better service from a place like this.

Today was my son's 18th birthday wanted to play the arcade games there. We get there and was informed he has to be 21 and over to get in really. The website doesn't say that the host tells me they became a full time bar now ok well put that on your website then wasted time and money to get to you. Well you guys have lost any future business

The first time I've gone to a Headquarters it was the old Lakeview location that ended up becoming a Replay due to the management kerfuffle that happened a few years ago. This place is actually an upgrade, since all of the games seem to be on free play they've added a food menu, for one - and the beer selection is still good. It can be difficult to find on foot, but it's close enough to the Chicago Brown Line where that won't matter much.

McRealty & Associates

This is my favorite and the absolutely BEST Thursday night Special in town! U get a Burger and a Beer for $10!!!!!!!!! Not only is it a deal, but the burger is GOOD and they give u a good quality beer as well. Not the cheap stuff. I recommend this place on any day, especially if u love vintage arcades. But Thursdays make it even better.

Been to a lot of arcade bars, but this is the first one where the games are free which is the right way to do it! And best of all, all of the games were working which was a nice treat. The beer menu was good amd so was the craft cocktails. The bartenders did a great job mixing the drinks and keeping up with the steady flow of orders. Only complaint isnt really a complaint at all but when you have free play ppl join like all 6 of the players and you can't reset the games so you have to wait for everyone to die off and then start again... Best part was I could actually finish a game that I never beat in the arcade as a kid bc I'd always run out of money, haha!

Prices are decent. Parking is what you would average. The door guy is cool. Games are fun and reminiscent. Food was great. Drink variety was good. A nice place to go on a date, but not first date if you expect to talk and get to know them. Music was crazy loud and it was packed but that's any Saturday at an arcade.

First time there, enjoyed the games and the drink was ok. The main issue I have is that the Jerk Wings should not be called that! There was nothing jerked about it. It was literally just regular grilled UNSEASONED wings, no jerk sauce, seasoning or heat. I had to ask for hot sauce to get some type of flavor and heat.

Always have a great time here. Their games are free. The atmosphere is wonderful. Cocktails are premixed which had us feeling like they were way too weak. We went on Monday night which is industry night so half off food & drinks. It wasn’t super busy, but the bartenders were awfully rude and slow. Kind of a bummer in such an awesome place. Maybe they put their weak bartenders on Monday’s? Will return but I hope they replace their Monday night bartenders.

Love this place! Entrance and games are free! I have been to several other arcades and barcades and none have been both free to enter and free to play. There are lots of games to choose from. I love pinball and there was a great selection. Also lots of different beers to choose from. It's most fun when there isn't much of a crowd. Will be back for sure!!

One of my favorite bars in Chicago. However, last time I was there I ordered 4 5oz beers all of them $3 then the bar tender said "$18" so I paid and left a tip then after sipping my beer I realized that could not have been right. So I Asked the bar tender how it could be 18 and he responded with "Chicago tax" I said "50% tax?" he then left and came back with 2 dollars and said "sorry, my math had been terrible today" So definitely do not trust the bar as much and brought my over all experiences down. Watch out for the Latino Johnny Bravo bar tender with all his buttons unbuttoned on his polo.

Really fun place where you can play video games for free!!! Awesome selection of old school arcade games and amazing selection of pinball games! This is a great place to go out with friends and have a great time. I highly recommend checking it out

Free games are awesome. The beer selection is good but near impossible to get a drink. Took nearly 10 minutes. For all these free games i cant belive they dont maximize their drink sales with some bar staff and maybe a cocktail server or two

Cool bar in River North. Free to play the games which is great. For a beercade style bar their selection of games isn't huge, but still a fun time on a Friday night. Good selection of craft beers as well.

Super spacious and fun, great variety of games for everyone to have something to entertain themselves. Beer selection was solid and the bartender was very knowledgeable. Also got the Savory flatbread which had phenomenal flavor and was perfect for snacking on, especially with vegetarian friends. Definitely a place to come back to, especially on a quiet Tuesday evening.

Signed up for a all you can eat/drink event there. They opened the doors 20 minutes late and they were putting out only one tray at a time of food for hundreds of people. Seemed like a cool place, they had pinball and some old arcade games most from the early 90s. Just be wary of their all you can eat and drink events.

This... Place... is... Amazing!!! So many different throw back games for FREE PLAY! They have a wonderful beer selection as well as some tables you can rest your legs at or wait for your favorite game to free up. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the city.
