We had dinner at Gemini on a Sunday and tried their Sunday special Fried Chicken. It was amazing, juicy meat, great hot sauce and the biscuit was delicious. They also have a great drinks selection. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Awesome experience.

Once you take a look at the menu, you might be tempted to order one of everything on the menu...and who could blame you, there wasn't a bad dish delivered to our table. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and professional, and the place was packed on a Friday night at 8p. A great place to go for a special occasion or date night. Definitely a grown ups restaurant. My only complaint would be with the quality of the olives they use for their martinis...

We had seen Gemini on a list of dog-friendly restaurants, so we had planned to print our pooch for brunch sometime. We forgot that was the plan, so we went for dinner- sans pooch. We ordered a handful of small plates and liked each more than the last. Warm Parker house rolls, wild salmon belly tartare, barbacoa empanadas, duck confit nachos, and Thai red curry mussels. The barbacoa empanadas were great, but everything else was excellent. I loved the duck nachos and red curry mussels especially. I can't say enough about the mussels actually. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who likes seafood at all. They were fresh, delicate, perfectly seasoned, and gone too soon. Two thumbs up. We will come back with the puppy soon.

I first discovered this gem when my sister was working here, I would always stop by after a show at the park West, Pauly one of the bartenders became one of my friends. The braised short rib ravioli and split pee risotto are amazing. I greatly enjoy the specials which change every week. They used to be known for their incredible desserts, as I mentioned my sister was their pastry chef, I'm not sure how they fare anymore.

What a lovely job the team did on this (formerly) slightly dainty space. The complete makeover now means an airy, light, and very contemporary space with great high booths, table seeing and a beautifully crafted bar, the optical focus. Food here is solid: the lamb we ordered was done exactly right and accompanied by a delicious Oregon Pinot, all served by attentive and friendly staff. Only drawback: hardly a veggie dish in sight.

Meh. Took the girlfriend here after some convincing on her end, and we were both severely underwhelmed. Her short ribs were dry and tasteless, and my steak was right around par. My cocktail was good (Velvet Old Fashioned), but if I'm paying $120 for two people to have dinner and a drink, I expect far, far more than Gemini offered.

This place is an absolutely GEM in Lincoln Park! They have weekly specials which are delicious and fun in addition to the regular menu. We had pasta and the special pork chop. Their mussels are delicious too!

This is one of those little known places in Lincoln Park. Unassuming from the outside but very good blend. I can't say it's French, and I wouldn't say it wasn't Italian either because the food tastes so fresh and organic. I recommend!

Service was good but food portions were not worth the money. Friend of mine ordered the crab cake with Apple salad. 18$ for a crab cake the size of a silver dollar 5 pieces of grass on top of the crab cake. I guess that was the Apple salad? I ordered the salmon lunch special for 14$. This included 5 chips an extra small side cup of salmon sauce. Needless to say both our meals were gone in less than 4 min. Don't go if you are hungry. This is only enough food to fill up a SMURF. Don't go if you are on a budget. Also water was lukewarm, straight from the faucet but served from a nice glass jug.

Lovely place and the outdoor seating is really nice. Went for brunch and their special corn bisque over lobster was excellent -- sweet like fresh corn. The crabcakes were mostly crab and the salmon eggs Benedict was also good. Would also recommend the chicken parm cutlet which was very moist.

Gawd!! Really? Do I have to give away all my secret places? Okay...... Seriously, one of the best .. no, the best best best restaurant in Lincoln Park. It used to be Charlie Trotters... But nobody could every possibly compete with Charlie. For not good reasons, sadly, Gemini has taken best. In Lincoln Park. You night not get much out of this recommendation, but, honestly, you'll see, it's the best. Try the bacon wrapped chicken, or the Mac and cheese (for kids), with bacon (for both adults and kids). The wine is exceptional at an equally exceptional price. I love the outside tables during the summer. That's all for now. Enjoy.

We flew in for the evening to catch a show at Park West. We opted to sit outside on the patio. The server was absolutely amazing, next level customer service the throughout our whole dining experience. He made several recommendations on wine, he knew the dishes extremely well and explained them in great detail. The mussels and chorizo appetizer was out of this world, easily the best mussel dish we've had! I opted for the Korean BBQ and my wife , which had just enough spice to wake up the sense. It was extremely juicy and delicious. My wife opted for the halibut dish and she enjoyed every last bite of it. Wine suggestion was spot on with the meal, as was the dessert recommendation. We would absolutely dine at Gemini again if we found ourselves in Chicago. They excelled on every level of service, presentation and execution !

Great outdoor seating atmosphere! Started with the parmesan truffle fries and they were great. My boyfriend had the burger and I had the filet mignon for an entree. The filet was cooked perfectly and nicely paired with a port wine sauce, and the burger was juicy and delicious. We had the creme brulee for dessert. Service was excellent and the food was coursed well with polite and prompt clearing of plates in between. Would highly recommend!

Went to Gemini this evening to celebrate a birthday (mine). Partner and I arrive shortly after the Browns vs. Jets game started and the game was on the only tv at the bar, good stuff. Obviously neither of us are fans of those two particular teams, who would be, but we had some players on our fantasy team so we did have a vested interest. We start out with two premium liquor martinis and shortly after order the meatballs. After the first course and closing in on halftime. We order another round and the wedge salad to split. Everything up until this point was great. Halftime ends and the game is starting up again when another couple across the bar takes a seat. Within moments of their seating, the bartender, who we spoke to about the game, switched it over to the Cubs vs. Reds game. Reminder, this is the only TV in the place so we were just suppose to take a backseat even though we arrived prior? Newsflash to any bartender or restaurant manager reading this, you cater to the people that have been there the longest. Instead, we ended up leaving after gathering up more than $100 bill before ordering entrees because they wanted to try and please everyone, instead of providing service to the people who were going to be there for another hour+ and spend another $100 or so. Congrats, GEMINI, we were looking at a new place for someone in your neighborhood to go to and you lost them. Food was fine, but servicing customers isn’t their forte. Find another spot and you’ll thank yourself.

Every time we come here we have a great experience. The drinks are delicious. Ask for the non-alcoholic ones, with alcohol. :-) we ordered the tomato and peach salad, it was so fresh and delicious I could eaten one every day. Do not leave without getting the lamb meatballs. Holy wowzers. Trust me, if you like delicious, get the meatballs. My only complaint is that there’s not enough, I want at least 10 each time. The patio is great and the service is great. Make sure to also ask for bread $6 UNREAL. I’m so happy this restaurant is in my neighborhood. <3

This neighborhood restaurant has a superb chef(s) who makes each meal count. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was the perfect warm-weather starter treat that along with their Parker House Rolls are worth the price of admission, but its the trout provencal that was so fresh and moist it could have been from a stocked tank in the kitchen that made the evening. Their burger was also superb. Of course, the Yukon Gold potato puree as well as the Truffle-Parm fries made for a perfect food combination. We had several different deserts. Dinner was complemented by an attentive but not hovering staff.

We came for the zoo lights menu the day after Thanksgiving. It's a cute place with good food and attentive staff. The truffle fries are amazing. The steak was very good. Not steakhouse caliber but still very good. Everything about it was great and I recommend the zoo lights special.

The Gemini Bistro has accessible but creative fare across a wide culinary spectrum. Food may not be breathtaking every time, but the Gemini rarely disappoints. Octopus and rolls as starters. Octopus is always a little skimpy when they serve it - but the flavor and texture was 100% on point. Tender and some charring. Strip and golden mashed potato - both great! Could have been hotter and I should have noticed the potatoes were pureed in the description. I like a little more texture and not as smooth. But the steak and potatoes were generous portions.

Nice atmosphere... Pretty good food. The server was very nice but it took an hour and a half to get our food, and it was not as described. I asked when i ordered if the fish was cooked in butter (i cannot consume butter) and it clearly was cooked in butter. Also, the menu listed "leg of lamb," and my parents ordered it... It was a lamb chop, or something like that, which is very different. Whatever, i will not want to go back in any case.

Super disappointed. Having just moved to the neighborhood we've heard great things about Gemini. Sadly our experience didn't measure up. Called ahead to see if there was availablility for 2 families (4 adults, 2 kids) on patio. Was so we headed on over. Got seated just fine. Rather than a long drawn out play by play I'll hit the highlights: - took 2 reminders to get our drinks - appetizers took 20+ min to arrive - kids meals weren't really build for kids pallet (ravioli was tasty but far from a kids version) - entrees took well over 90 min to arrive with no for warning. - all portions small (think tapas or starters, but priced as though full entree) - took nearly 2.5 hours for our dining experience, which is very difficult with 2 little ones. After our meal the table next to us was complaining about the time they had been waiting on their meal. So I guess it was everyone. On the positives: food was all delicious, presentation was on point. Bit expensive, but good food is. Don't expect we will be back. Too many places can keep a kitchen running efficiently

Gemini Bistro has a lovely outdoor patio for dining al fresco. I tried the greek salad and the free range chicken. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was good. I would like to come back to try the mussels which seemed to be a popular dish.
