You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite high, and it's based on a large number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Mexican restaurant.
I couldn't believe how great this place was. I haven't been home in a month and have missed the authentic Mexican food. This place hits home when I had their taco Al pastor and chicken nachos. The nachos had overly to much Lettuce but it …
I live in the neighborhood and eat here fairly often. The food is great, the prices are good, and the atmosphere is cozy/quirky/Mexican. The staff has always been very helpful. Every once in a while service can be slow, especially if it is busy, but most of the time this is not an issue. Highly recommended.
Good authentic tacos. Meat was slightly tough, but otherwise the food was superb. Would stop here again.
I got ancho chicken bowl. Added tomatillo, it was lit. Delicious food, well made, and didn't feel too heavy. Like elevated chipotle. Definitely recommend. I will say, don't waste so many napkins, we got more than necessary, though it was more amusing than it was inconveniencing. Thank you for a great meal :)
Being Hispanic, and having had many many many tacos, this place is by far the best! And there margaritas are fantastic, and I barely ever order those. Tiny place, but people are usually pretty conscious of this and eat quickly and leave or …
I really enjoyed my dinner at Flaco’s Tacos this evening. I’m always searching for restaurant with vegan (for my wife and me) and non-vegan menu items for our friends. Flacos was fast, fresh and delicious. My wife and I got two different vegetarian tacos each. 1. Black beans, onions and cilantro 2. Poblano Pepper The tacos were very good. Mild but with good flavor, especially with the two salsa we ordered with it. I also got one black bean tamale and it was excellent. The chips are thick and freshly cooked (fried) and addicting. I recommend trying both salsas and the pick de Gallo. Guacamole was good but not amazing. Needed a little more flavor (perhaps the avocados were quite ripe enough) Overall great dinner. I highly recommend this place!
Holy moly the tacos here were amazing! I had the Al pastor and the ancho chicken. I highly recommend this place good magaritas and tacos what's not to love! Plus you can tell they use fresh ingredients.
Excellent tacos and tamales. And they have beer! Win!!!!!
Very curteous service and tasty tacos; margarita wasn't bad either. I found the prices reasonable.
Good food and great prices during happy hour
So so. Slow service and inconsistent food.
Great taco place. The lime steak is to die for.
Food was delicious. Naturally GF most of the menu. Great place to stop in :)
Love going here, try the margarita!
Food was COLD and it took FOREVER to be served. If I wasn't with a group of colleagues I would have asked for a refund and left. Instead, I took the food to go and threw it away because it was absolutely horrible. Sadly, I heard the exact opposite which makes my experience even more frustrating. I was there on the 14th of May
Pretty good tacos and some crazy deals
Nothing special. Probably prefer chipotle.
Pretty good tacos. Pork was real good. Fish was okay.
Great food and great price. We were in town for Pokemon Go Fest and were able to walk to Flacos from the Essex hotel in under 10 min making it perfect place for great food in a pinch. The service was also extremely fast.
Good place. Good food. Good music. Deals on drinks daily.
Delicious! Such good tacos. The lime steak was my favorite!
Very busy location on a Sunday night. I had the taco bowl. It was good. The menu says the bowls are gluten free but u think that's not with the basket. I think that's a deep fried wheat tortilla. The server should clarify when they ask if you want the basket or a bowl. the service is decent not special
Great deal on Sunday morning $1.00 breakfast tacos.
The food was good and good customer service
Food was very tasty and prompt. The server was a bit low energy, and the squeeze bottles for the salsas is a bad idea. They get clogged easily, then explode.
Very cute, casual, and delicious. We had the chicken tamale my son LOVED it, the poblano pepper taco, and the grilled steak burrito. The guacamole was EXCELLENT. Warning: if you're not carb crazy everything, even the tacos come with rice on it, so ask for it without. They only have frozen margarita, but to my surprise it was not super sweet and I enjoyed it. The employees were friendly and helpful.
Good tacos and tamales . They have daily specials like Margarita Mondays and $1 Tuesday tacos!
-5 stars. Go to Flaco's if you want an unprofessional, angry employee arguing with you. I went to this place, looked at the menu, saw that there were several vegetarian offerings, marked by a green asterisk with a footnote explaining that, so I decided to tell this person taking my order behind the counter that I wanted a poblano taco combo and one additional chicken taco, separate from the combo. She told me that she had an order for a vegetarian combo and a separate chicken taco. I told her that it wasn't a "vegetarian combo" (there is no such thing on the menu), I told her that it was a poblano combo, the way it is exactly in the menu, while I pointed that out to her. She came back at me arguing that the poblano combo WAS a vegetarian combo, ignoring the fact that, while that may be true, that doesn't tell me whether she got my order right or wrong because there are several vegetarian taco options, so a "vegetarian combo" could be any of those. At this point, I asked her why she was arguing with me, and she replied (has NOBODY ever trained any of these employees on customer service??????? An employee is never supposed to argue with a customer, especially when the employee is wrong and just acting rightful and argumentative) that all she was doing was telling me that I had ordered a "vegetarian combo" (which I didn't, I ordered clearly a poblano combo, one of several vegetarian options for the tacos they have on the menu). I also asked if she wanted my money and my business, but since she had this belligerent attitude all over her, I decided to give up and left. NEVER order and eat food from a place where you've had any problems with the restaurant staff before that food gets to you, we all know what they can do to your food. So I just walked out and left, I'm never coming back and I'm going to let everyone I know know that this is a terrible place with unprofessional, immature, emotional, righteous employees.
Great food and service, tiny place! The Cowboy tacos were delicious - very flavorful and the steak was tender. Burritos are large - plenty for even a big appetite. There is Very Limited seating though, so dont plan to linger over your meal!
Great food at reasonable prices!
Large portions, cheap dishes, and unlimited horchata? Yes please.
Margaritas are delicious! Quesedillas as well! Only reason for not giving five stars is that I witnessed a argument between a worker and management regarding not being paid that escalated. The premise of the argument was that she was getting paid cash but they hadn't paid her in months...
Loved the shrimp tacos! Customer service was great! Highly recommend!
Hopeful after discovering this place yesterday while out on another errand. Normally I'm in the loop, but decided to wander south of Harrison for lunch. Nice looking place in a decent neighborhood. Waited over 20 minutes after ordering before I received my food. How long does it take to make a burrito? Especially if this is your thing! When the food arrived it was good, not great. As I waited for my food the dining area quickly filled up. Either they're doing something right and I just had an unfortunate experience or there was an influx of others like myself trying this place for the first time. Not rushing back, but I'll give it another try someday.
I had two of the most flavorful vegetarian tacos I've ever had. They were as reasonably priced as they were delicious. Highly recommended. (I'm guessing their non-vegetarian dishes are as good.)
Delicious and economical. The Salas and chips with 2 blackened shrimp tacos. The best
Probably the best tacos I've had. They appear to be tied in w a hamburger place so will try that next we visit Chicago.
If I want good Mexican food I will drive to Pilsen. I don't know what was added to the guacamole to make it tasteless but I make better guac than what was served. Even though there are specials on certain days, like dollar tacos, thanks but no thanks.
The food was good, however further attention to the cleanliness of the menus would better the experience.
Daily deals are amazing, including $1 Sunday breakfast tacos before noon
The lines can be pretty long and it can be packed on certain days but the wait is worth it for the food. They have some good vegitarian options there as well. The cashiers are kind and helpful.
If you're in for fast food and you want tacos you want the best tacos then eat it flaco tacos
Good food and fairly quick service.. will be back.
The food was very tasty. Reasonably priced. Relaxed atmosphere.
If you’re looking for tacos, this is one of the only places in Printers row aside from Taco Bell. Monday nights are margarita nights and their rice and beans are on point!
Food was pretty good and the service was pretty on point for such a packed establishment. We went on taco Tuesdays and they did not disappoint. Definitely might be my new spot for the weekly holiday whenever I'm in town.
Love this place! Great frozen margaritas and food was great and really fast. The employees were really fun and nice.
Delicious Mexican food with a unique touch. Service is always friendly and award winning Margaritas are flavorful. So many choices! You know the foods good when it's a real internal struggle deciding what to order!
Tacos here were great with a side of a cold beer. I just wish the salsa was a bit spicier but then again thats me. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Will be coming back.
Taco Love in the hood ! Excellent on 71st Street
They made good food and GREAT portions. Their burritos are quite large! I've been to Mexico and I can tell you that it's seriously on par
I wanted to like this place, however I can’t overlook poor customer service. The two black girls taking orders at the register appear unhappy, irritated and impatient. They don’t listen well because I had to repeat my order several times and they still got it wrong. I don’t eat meat, I ordered shrimp and they gave me a steak bowl. There were several other mistakes that I care not to mention. Also long unkempt hair in restaurant service is not sanitary. Food wasn’t bad, but the service is why I’ll be reporting this place to the BBB.
Let's just start off with this: 3 tacos and a coke $18.27. Now I normally don't care about the price I pay for food if what I'm getting is worth it. Unfortunately, these tacos had very little flavor, the meat was not cooked fresh, it had the consistency of being kept warm for awhile and to top it off my tortillas were not heated properly - making them tough. It was not a great experience. The wait for tacos is also a little too long. I've worked in restaurants and I've been in the industry for almost 15 years, therefore I can try and give the benefit of the doubt by thinking "maybe they were short staffed" and that's perfectly understandable however if that's the case, and I'm still going to wait for my tacos I'd like for them to be done well, not rushed and still done poorly.
I had the hotel concierge recommend this place to me. As I have found it difficult to find good Mexican food in Chicago. I come into the city twice a year. I was quite disappointed with the tacos I was served. I got 1 of the lime steak and 1 Al pastor. Growing up with in a very Mexican family in LA and traveling to Mexico all my life, I've never been served tacos with granted cheese, which made it taste salty. The Al pastor tacos were not prepared as they usually are. They were slathered in some kind of deep red sauce. Which I know they should not. As they are cooked in in a skewer style way, never drenches in some sort of salsa. Other than that. The tortillas were pretty darn good. I only have one suggestion. Maybe add a few more items to the menu. Some Sopes, tamales, empanadas.
Highly recommended. I had the ancho chicken bowl. Amazing quality for a great price.
Bought Tacos which were small but tasted good. They were $1, however I would have liked if I had someone who had gone there before to tell me and let me make the decision of whether I wanted to spend my money on them. With that being said, you all have me so I'm giving you my honest feedback.
Hope you got a big mouth for these big burritos! Saturday night is a good night for there sangritas!
I ordered tamales they were so soggy they slipped out of the shell when I picked it up my water was warm as hell and tasted disgusting. Way too expensive for the quality of the food 0/10 don’t recommend
I used to be a big fan of here. However, I went today and ordered a chicken quesadilla, my partner ordered a steak one. When the food arrived, the quesadilla slices were mixed together in separate plates— my plate had two steak slices and …
Elotes tacos are best! Great place to take date ♡
Great food! I always enjoy eating here when I'm in the area.
Great atmosphere, great tacos, I had the chicken tacos with poblano peppers.
Great tacos. Don’t get the combo, the rice and beans were not good. The tacos made up for that. Margarita was okay. Ambiance was good.
We were visiting Chicago from Madison, WI and happened to stumble across this place down the street from our Hotel. What a great find! Small place with a small menu, but great effort by everyone and the food & drinks were great! A little pricey for how long it took, but hey it's Chicago...
Very cute and clean! Shrimp tacos were delish!
Great food! Great quick service and awesome specials! One of my favorite Mexican places in the city will definitely be back!
Tacos were good. I enjoyed eating alfresco. Birds were landing on an near the table expecting to be fed. Not in an annoying way but like in a communing way.
taco time. was really busy but I bought my share
Disappointed! Based on the hype I was hoping for better. I ordered three tacos "al pastor". The meat was cubed and not thin sliced off a spit. The two or three pieces of pineapple (diced canned) were mixed in with the meat and marinade, not fresh cut, so it didn't have the citrus punch you expect. The marinade was bland. I eat tacos in every city I visit and these were not worth the nine blocks I walked in the Chicago heat.
Here's what I like about Flaco's: the atmosphere is quaint and comfortably unassuming, the chips are really really good, the drinks are yummy, the Tuesday specials are always right up my alley, and management proactively responds to unsatisfied customers with practical remedies. Here's what I perceive as needing improvement: food portion sizes are ridiculously small for the price. Other than that... it's a solid experience.
Nice mexican place with decent prices and great drinks.
Personally loved this place! Authentic Mexican food and great portions. Great Margartias and pretty reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and the music is on point. Off the beaten path but well worth it. Will come back with friends.
Been going here for years and usually everything has been great. Ordered tacos on grubhub and one of my tacos had plastic in it. Further, there were no salsas included with our order. Called to let them know and didn’t seem to care.
Pretty decent tacos. Had the lime grilled steak. Not bad. Wished they used more authentic corn tortillas (true Mexican food aficionados know what I mean) but otherwise not too bad. Kinda pricey, but you expect that. 2 tacos were under 10 bucks, but filling.
Only go here for the tacos I repeat only go here for the tacos, I got the tamales it took over 45min to make they were dry and terrible please see my pictures, the rice came in a stupid cardboard bowl and it was crunchy and hard. Just terrible I will never go here again please read the bad reviews they are true
Great drinks. Mediocre food at best.
Delicious with perfect portion sizes. Very reasonable prices. Food came out very fast. Small seating area.
Excellent service staff and very clean thanks see you again soon
Awesome food, great weekly specials. And a sangria that will knock you on your a$$. Decor looks like a restaurant straight out of Mexico. Would recommend
Great food and atmosphere. I loved the burrito bowls and the kids loved the churros.
Amazing burritos, fresh tasty and good quality food with even nicer portion size & price. Place is a bit small inside but take out is quick & easy.
Best taco in the Loop. The place is popular, don't expect to get a table ;-)
Cute place, good staff, good food. Also very quiet which I personally enjoy. Will come back with friends. (UPDATE) Where has this Hibiscus tea been all my life. Also burritos have been spot on because I hit this place up every now and again. I'm changing my 4 star to a 5 star. Great product keep up the work.
Great place to visit, delicious tacos
I gave this 3 stars because there was no half star option and I didn't totally dislike it. This is a place for college age/young adults. All the Margaritas are frozen. PERIODT! So I drank a beer. I ate a steak bowl and it was okay. I don't reccomend for those on the rocks Margaritas folks.
Wow, the food at this place was great! We were there during lunch so seating was hard to get but then again, that's a sign of a good restaurant, right?! Definitely try this place out!
Very nice Mexican, not big, casual. Excellent portion sizes, well spiced. People are nice and the food is really good.
The food was pretty good, better than Chipotle, in my opinion. Loved the chicken bowl I got. Should have told them to hold the beans!!! Lol! Would recommend them!
