REVIEWS OF Everest IN Illinois

William Homan

Everest is everything that you would think that a fancy French restaurant should be. It was rated the #1 restaurant in Chicago for many years and still at the top of its game. We did the 6 course tasting dinner (which is really 9 courses) and the wine pairing. Everything was fantastic as was the service. Great views of Chicago from the 40th floor of a skyscraper. It doesn't get much better than this!

Pat Diaz

We went here having received recommendations and were really excited to have a top notch meal. We can’t fault the food, it really was 5*. Deserving of a Michelin star, especially the meringue based dessert. I was pregnant for our visit and there were plenty of delicious dishes that I was able to eat on the menu, not just fois gras and shellfish! Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the service which is the reason this is not a 5* review. The sommelier appears to have forgotten that my companion ordered a glass of white wine with her starter and it never came. The advice on the red to accompany the main dish was very good though so I feel it’s important to note that her knowledge appeared to be very good, she just forgot one of our orders.

Nice atmosphere with jazzy music on the background. There are areas that can be reserved for groups. The general dining area has a good view of the west side of Chicago. Nice and long list of wines. Single malts go up to 21-year-old ones. I decided to take the prearranged Menu Degustation. Portions are small but exquisite. Wines are paired with each dish. The service is great. Loin of venison was cooked on their own account medium with rear center. Lucky I like it that way , Outside of the menu I ordered the scallop wihich really was delicious. The texture and the flavor delivered a wonderful experience. Dont look at the prices, just enjoy the experience.

Lyle Griffin

Elegant dining at the top of the world. The service is impeccable, the food outstanding, and the views stunning.

Vegetarian tasting menu needs improvement. Wine pairing with vegetarian tasting menu was super expensive and did not work very well for us. Courses with different wines washed away our palates instead of enhancing the food taste. It is not unusual to have such wines during a course because the food would require you to taste different variations and techniques prepared by the chef but that does not work if during each course the wine washes away some of the best characteristics of the food. Service was excellent after our 3rd course. Our server for the first 3 courses simply did not care. During our 4th course and so on - our server changed and that person asked us about our experience after each course and started conversing after each course which is how it should be at a Michelin Star restaurants. Despite all these flows, service will make you feel like Michelin Star restaurant if you get good servers. There were almost as many servers as guests sitted at the restaurant. From pulling your chair when you are getting up to pushing your chair in when you are sitting down to walk you to the bathroom to serving your courses with silver utensils- will make you feel like you are royalties. One note to the restaurant- please train your staff and have them explain to your guests who are paying premium $$$ that how the wine pairing will work with each course. Also, don’t just say the name of the wine, where it is from and year it was bottled - explain what kind of flavor the wine contains, which ingredients make up that particular wine, and how it will infused and enhance the course. To make the story short - giving 3 star out of 5 for the tasting menu with wine paring. Not worth the price we paid.

Just to say, I’m not a review person but my wife kept convincing me to write one. We were there about a month ago for our very special anniversary. And only because of Eugen( Ukrainian server) our night was fabulous despite all odds and wrong wine from sommelier. He truly deserves to be the waiter of all times. My wife is super picky and very high standard person and boy oh boy, after they brought the wrong food and very bad wine suggestion( I’m not sure about their sommelier, seems like first grader; we have been to many Michelin stars restaurants and this lady- sommelier could not suggest Alsace wine which I thought was Everest specialty)I thought it would be it for us but Eugen indeed convinced us to try Grand Cru Kessler and my wife melted after a sip. We also very much enjoyed sautéed Foie Gras. He showed us what personal service truly means. We also enjoyed his knowledge in Europe’s history which is very rear here in US. My wife is historian. His team was very helpful too. We enjoyed their theatrical performance. View was fabulous as well. If we ever get to come back to Chicago, I will try Everest if Eugene is still there again

Excellent food and service. A must visit restaurant in Chicago.

Jesse Badger

Classic and still great.

Cristi Tibulschii

We had a great time on Valentine’s Day. Awesome food and helpful staff!

Ramsey Lewis III

My father , Ramsey Lewis said it's a great place to dine !

Valerie Moggio

A marvelous dinner at the 40th floor with an awesome view on the city. It is a Michelin starred restaurant with fresh delicious food and "savoir faire". My mother and I got an excellent friendly service from all the staff. We also appreciated and were honored to have the visit of the Chef Jean Joho.

V

Not only was the food top notch delicious, but the serving staff was so friendly and fun! It’s refreshing to go to a prestigious restaurant without snooty staff!

Leslie Carter

A preferred site for French food. It was so tasty. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers.

Darren Foster

Amazing view and even better food and service. Smoke salmon starter was perfect.

Kelly Grote

Ahhhmazing! Service impeccable! Food delicious! View incredible!

Lee Hnetinka

I went there for dinner and the view was just amazing! The city looks amazing and the lights turn a casual dinner into a gorgeous experience.

Carl Werntz

Great views and tasty cuisine. Was part of a group, so we had a limited menu. Food well prepared and presented. Would enjoy going again.

Jacob Ong

5 star service worth of its Michelin 1-star. Private garage for dining and superb customer service.

Lorraine Hultman

An elegant supper club setting atop a bank building. Food and service are exquisite. Arriving in front of a financial building at night is less so. We LOVE this restaurant!

Alex Jenkins

thought good be better and bigger portion. but nice view.

Rupal Gupta

We found this restaurant wonderful. Servers were kind and attentive and completely unpretentious with our questions about why the spoon had a dent in it. We enjoyed a lovely anniversary meal here and appreciated the variety without excess portions and the traditional touch of amuse bouche and sorbet before dessert. I love this style of traditional French cuisine and wish it always to prosper.

Gil Fonger

My rating is probably a little unfair but it wasn't quite what I expected. This is absolutely a restaurant for "foodies"; dishes that only someone familiar with the French language would be able to pronounce or even understand what they are. Unless you are really in to French cuisine it probably isn't the place for you. It is very intimate which is nice on one level but leads to a very low energy level. The view is wonderful and the service is top notch. The main dish was excellent. I was prepared for how expensive but for the price just didn't get the whole package that I was expecting. For my money, I would much rather go to Wildfire that has excellent food and a fun atmosphere at half the price.

Beth A

The food was delicious and we had excellent service. I would suggest they dim the lights a bit as it seemed too bright for such a great evening spot. Additionally, the tables on the upper level would benefit from having some mirrors installed on the back and side walls. If they did this all guests would experience the striking view of Chicago. Overall a good experience but very expensive.

Excellent View, Service, and Dining - It was a climb getting to Everest, buzzed through via security, up one bank of elevators, switching to another bank, and then following signs to the doors, but the trek was certainly worth it. It is an elegant setting for couples and groups, with expansive views of West Chicago, and with service that was attentive and accommodating. For dinner, of the three options, 3-course, 4-course or tasting, we chose the 4-course, and were happy with all of our dishes and dessert, as well as with the amuse bouche and intermezzo. Expect to pay around $200 per person, less if you get the three course, and more if you go with the tasting menu and/or several drinks each. PS, If you want a view, eat early, to be seated at a window.

Thomas Lewry

Great dining experience. incredible service. Special occasion place....

Kurt Wietzke

Having recently spent time in Alsace, it was a delightful reminder of the many terrific regional foods and wines of this vastly under explored region. Amuse Boucher “flights” between a couple of courses was well done. Enjoyed several of the House specialties including lobster tarting, goose and seared foie gras paired with Sauterne. Service was attentive and timely. Jordan had a special spark. An investment in a memorable evening. Did I mention the breathtaking views?

Dalt Brewsher

Everest doesn't disappoint. Starting with the amazing tease the bush, then appetizer, one will be pleaseantly surprised. Both lobster appetizers are excellent. The sea bass and venison are delicious choices. The desserts are sweet and tasty. The ending treats are a decadent bonus. Everything on the menu will be memorable. The service is impeccable. The wine list is extensive. Atmosphere is five stars. Lastly, this 40th floor restaurant has views, views, views!

Dominique Brown

Great scene for delicious French food. I will be back with my friends. It has a nice feel to it.

rostislav Kislyuk

Great food good service very professional

Mike Oren

Great service and amazing food. Second time there, and it was just amazing as the first.

Jim & Vartsana Winkels

Everest is an intimate and quiet restaurant for a special occasions (this night was the start of our anniversary weekend) or for date night. The staff were professional and friendly. I also enjoyed the conversation with the chef when he went table to table. Speaking of the chef, the food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers and bread through to the main course and dessert. I am giving this restaurant five stars for the food and wait staff, but not for the manager. Our conversation with him to resolve a minor issue, he was on the rude side and unhelpful. We almost left and went elsewhere, but he threatened we would be charged $75 for each of us and call it a cancellation. That type of response to customers standing right in front of him was disappointing to the say the least. To see more pictures, please search for _vartsana_ on Instagram.

Jeff Kaldahl

Horrible place to eat. The food was sub par. The service for lack of a better word, sucked. We sat there for 30 minutes before anyone even addressed us. The waiter spilled a desert on my girlfriend's dress and did not even say sorry. The dress needed cleaning and they did not offer nor did they take anything off our bill. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. It is not worth the money or the time. I can't believe that it is "suppose" to be one of the best places in Chicago. Those people who give it a high rating have no taste!

Kevin Lin

The food is exquisite! Don't hesitate to come. If you are planning to come with the special one on a special occasion, you definitely want to ask for the table that has the view to the Chicago night for both person.

Carrie Pacheco

A fav location for delicious french food. This place has a great atmosphere.

Dean Morse

French food, mmm, my favorite treat. Got there about one, it wasn't busy. I'll return with my friends. Prices were appropriate. This place has good reviews for a reason.

subra santhanam

upscale. The waiter discussed my dietary needs before. I ordered chicken for main course and soup, warm oyster and cheese cake. The service was excellent and the portion generous. By the way enter through the one financial plaza and the parking is just across the Lasalle entrance is closed.

Jeanett Vergara

Food was great, as well as the experience.

ray ira

I always pass through this restaurant when going to work and I always wonder what this restaurant can offer and if it's too expensive. I was so afraid to get in because it looks too elegant that yesterday was the day when my officemates invited me to eat here and I was so amazed by their foods, staff, and how it looks like inside. It was like a complete package.

Larry Bair

Excellent eye-popping food with excellent service. Check in with security in the lobby for entry to the elevators to the 38th floor, where you change for the elevator to Everest on 40. Nice view facing west on a sunny day. Food was paced a bit slow for the sampler menu relative to the tasting menu, i.e. the table behind us ordered the multi-course tasting menu and their dessert arrived at the same time as ours, having ordered the three course sampler menu.

Tom Wright

Came on a Saturday night for the vegetarian tasting menu. Kicked off with the amuse bouche: it was lukewarm with the taste of Campbell's soup. Accompanying bread was cold. Butter (always important) was house made, but unsalted and no salt on the table. Cubed beet dish had the distinct flavour of a tinned preserve and fell flat on the plate. The soup that followed was an equal miss, having the flavour of commercial stock powder and texture too close to what I'd purge after a heavy night drinking. Artichoke was also clearly not fresh, with a sad, grey appearance and accompanying vegetables of equally sad quality. Service was truly poor on the whole, with poor knowledge of dishes and irregular pacing. Most other patrons were grey and toupeed with their tastebuds presumably lost somewhere in the 50's. As evidenced by other reviews, people come here for the beautiful view. Not sure how the Michelin star has been maintained...

Christina Kendrick

Have been thinking of going to Everest for about 10 years but just never made it happen. Well I went for my birthday this year and it was quite the experience that I won't soon forget. My table did the tasting menu as well as the wine pairing and it was superb. For a table of three I think we went through almost 30 glasses and sets of silverware. The food was like nothing I had ever had and the views looking west during sunset were amazing. Our waiter was aloof and quirky but it really only added to the experience. If Dorsia from American Psycho were a real place it probably would be just like Everest. Our only disappointment was the chef didn't come talk to us, but we can't complain about our almost four hours there.

Andreea Seicean

Was excited about trying French cuisine with a nice view and made a reservation for Friday night. Come at the respective time with my boyfriend and was offered a table nowhere near a window despite multiple open tables available with a view. We requested a different table and the manager was unaccommodating and rude. Said tables are on a first come first serve basis, but there were multiple tables open so clearly that was not the case. When we asked about changing the date of the reservation to a time where we could get a table with a view, we were told its not possible to request a table by the window because its first come first serve. We left. This is perhaps the most inappropriate experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Thanks but no thanks Everest, we will not be back.

Terry B

We had a great evening. Waitstaff was professional and entertaining. Sommelier pairings were spot on. Food was amazing as was the check, as expected.

Damian Mcgee

A favorite spot for delicious French food. came here on a friday i think. i will be back with my relatives.

Micheál Ó

In one word: OUTSTANDING. We've been lucky enough to have eaten here twice, and both meals were absolutely fabulous. Service could not be better, wine selection is great, cocktails superb, and the food? Ooh La La! After our meal, we got to meet and speak with Chef Jean Joho, and pass on greetings from Paul Haeberlin in Illshaeusern, France. The view from way up is spectacular, looking to the west, but the tables adjacent to the windows seem to be booked further ahead than we make out plans. Otherwise, I'll let these photos speak for themselves.

Everest is an elegant restaurant on the 40th floor of One Financial place or 440 South LaSalle. Reservations are required and it is likely you will need to make them several weeks in advance because of the size of the restaurant. The menu is fixed price. The food genre is considered French. There are three levels of dining on the menu. I chose their classic menu which included three courses: an appetizer, an entree and dessert. This entry level menu, the least expensive, was $93. Since I chose the steak entree, an additional $17 was added. Cocktails began at about $18 and a glass of wine started at $16. Though the food was excellent at Everest, it was the experience of ambiance and service that's called for the premium price. I have no other experience with which to compare Everest. I will say it was a delightful evening and quite a show. I am also happy that it was a birthday gift and will remain a one-time experience for me.

Mikey Griesbaum

Classic French Chicago prefixe. Christmas menu was delicious. Would go back to try more of their "known for" plates. The service was a little hectic, not as organized and coordinated as places like Tru; however the servers were very friendly. The atmosphere was not too pretentious, but it is hard to completely avoid at a $$$$ French prefixe

Brooke Hietpas

Ate at Everest about a week ago and was not impressed. When we had first arrived we asked if we could sit at a window table and was told "all the tables with a view just sat down", did not even have a choice to wait until one opened. We chose the tasting menu in which the food was nothing special and each one was about 2 bites each. All in all our bill came to about $400.00 with less than quality food without a view and left still hungry. Would not go back to this restaurant. Way overpriced for what you get.

Melvin Sims

Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal.

Me and my husband went there for a New Year celebration. Our bill was $545. I was driving so I didn't drink any alcohol. We were seated next to the wall and didn't see any view though it was our main point of choosing the restaurant. We asked them about the table with a view when we booked the table online and we also asked about that again upon arriving. They completely ignored our request though there were empty tables with a view later during the night but other couples were seated there not us..The service was no so good as well. We felt ourselves like a lower class by the staff attitude. Our new year eve mood was completely destroyed. The food was average. We just returned from our trip to France before that so we could compare. The food at an average restaurant in Paris was the same or sometimes better and the price was 10 times less. I still keep the receipt from the restaurant as a reminder of our huge failure.

A fine dining option in Chicago. Spectacular view, delicate and delicious french cuisine. Tasting menu is very good.

Leslie Mendez

Food was okay but nice servers.

Yash Vyas

Food was ok, but insanely expensive.

NY Chicago

We have been coming to Everest for years and it has been by far our favorite place for special occasions. This time we took there our friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. While the food is still in my opinion the best in Chicago classic French fare scene, the little things like service, attention to detail, quality of ingredients, level of expertise of the employees is slipping and it is killing otherwise exceptional experience. It is like death by thousands paper cuts cutting little by little off the star. First the good: - excellent wild mushrooms and quail risotto. Rice had bite, flavor and presentation with little dish of warm water to wash the fingers was on point - great venison dish - better piece and cooked to rare perfection - duck and steak were excellent too The bad: - Sommelier- while helpful, would not describe any of the wines I was asking her opinion on. We wanted Gewurztraminer since it will go with Alsace theme of the food. She would not tell us about producers, wineries - like she had no idea who they were. She described one wine as more frutty another as more acidic because of the year - I can Google more than that. For the main course we wanted red wine. Instead of bringing the list or asking what we like - she offered Cab from Paso Robles - Ha? In a French restaurant is it the first sommelier choice? I personally felt offended and asked her for some St. Emillon. She brought the list recommended the wine and again said nothing about the producer, winery, taste - anything. - Different people take your orders for different courses- understandable. What was strange that the gentleman who was taking the desert order did not know what we were talking about and could not speak to cheese course that is on dinner menu that we wanted to order as desert. We had to tell him that the gentelman who took main order told us that is ok. There are like 30 items total on the menu - everyone on the team should learn the full list. - before dessert all of us who ordered sweet desert got sorbet to clear the pallet. The lady who ordered cheese - did not. When asked why she was not the answer was that it does not come with her choice. Noone even offered an option for her to have it - flat out no. It was embarrassing. We recommended the place and our friends and felt responsible for disappointment. - three kinds of sweets were brought for coffee - no usual selection of 8 or so was offered. Was staff afraid that 6 people will eat to many sweets? For the bill of $250+ per person? Please coach the staff - just excellent food will not save the brand.

Natali Natali

Amazing place!! Spectacular view, delicious food, good service!!! I highly recommended starter Seared New York State Foie Gras

Jackie Marzano-Lopez

Celebrated my wedding anniversary here this past weekend and have to say the food was loaded with flavor. Tastebuds were going crazy. We decided to do the 7 course tasting... absolutely delicious! Although it is hard to choose, the foie gras and smoked salmon were my personal favorite. It was unfortunate we didn't get a window table or even a view of a window. The photos of the restaraunt are a little misleading as you may assume every table has at least a view.

Andrea Sapienza

Went here to splurge on a dating anniversary with my boyfriend, but ended up getting engaged. It really was the best food and service we've both ever had and the staff was very accommodating. Turns out they needed to be extra accommodating since we, novices to fine dining, got the last seating and proceeded to order the 10-course meal. (SORRY) We were the last ones in the restaurant and they moved us to a window seat at my boyfriend's request so he could properly propose. Then served champagne and chocolates on the house (I think). Though my pallet may not be as refined as other Michelin star diners posting, I can tell you it is GOOD food and service. Dining room was a bit noisy for a truly intimate meal, but just order the 10-course meal and you'll have it to yourself!

Steve Sutherland

Great view. Good service. Awful, (and I mean awful)value for the dollar. Think “Outback” quality at $200/plate. However, in true French fashion the food was prettily displayed on the plate—as what you would expect for French fine dining. However, leave your “fine dining” taste buds at home and bring a ton of money. Sad. Please give your opinions as I truly hope it was an “off night” and I can be convinced to try “Everest” again. At this time I would encourage patrons to try a plethora of other eateries in Chicago for far less $$$ and much greater taste.

Marko Kalezic

Excellent service, great French cuisine !!

Veronica Graham

All in all, our first time dining at Everest was an outstanding experience. Upsides were the lobster salad, hare, fois grais, and cheeses and paid wine. On the downside, the restaurant was very difficult to find with the listed address not matching the entrance. The soup course was a disappointment. We asked for a window seat but were seated in the secondary dining room. To their credit, we were moved to a window table for dessert. I am so glad that an elegant, yet easily approachable old school restaurant still exists in Chicago. I'll leave the 17 course one bite, noisy places to others and will return to Everest as soon as possible.

Michael Pearce

Wow beautiful view and Outstanding food.

Lisa Pringle

Service was attentive and friendly. Beautiful view from our table. The food was delicious and not as expensive as some reviews stated. However, we did get a bite to eat again later as the portions are smaller than what we eat.

Amanda Pelletier

We tried this place recently and the service wasn’t great and the food was just okay. I was pretty disappointed given all the 5 star reviews. I travel often for work and get to eat at a lot of great restaurants. I wouldn’t recommend.

John Appleby

We visited Everest for our wedding anniversary dinner. The location is quite nice, though we had no window view. Make sure you ask for one when booking. The wine list came first and is very extensive, though very expensive compared to other similar restaurants. The sommelier Alex was able to point out some good value picks, which I always appreciate. Honestly the food was extremely average. The amuse bouches were tasteless, the salad wasn't that fresh and the Dover Sole preparation was very disappointing. The cheese course was unimaginative and deserts boring. Service was variable with multiple people taking care of us, and no one clearly running the front of house. The lack of leadership made it feel quite haphazard. Overall the experience was only ok. I'm not sure how Everest earned its Michelin star but I suspect at one point it was at its peak, and now it is on a slow decline. Of course the one thing which has not declined is the prices, which are sky high!

Lois Harrison

Good location for tasty French food. Got there about two, it was not packed. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. The prices are good for what you get.

Bruce R

It is unusual for me to write about about service, let alone first, but it was abysmal. They were nearly as many servers as customers, but it did not affect their inability to provide service. You wait for the server, and even the menus. We then wait for the champagne. Again we wait for the server... wait the bread... wait the server who has still has not taken our order. We are in the restaurant 25 minutes by then. Finally, I got up and asked for the manager. She was pleasant and apologetic and actually took our order. The food was good, but very small portions. Considering the high prices it was an exceptionally poor experience.

Bobby Batterson

Another location where service is king and taste supreme.

Dhruv Chadha

If you are looking for a classy dinner with great service, you must check out Everest. The servers take their time explaining the menu and the whole team works together to create a great experience for their guests. Make sure to dress up or you will feel out of place.

Pepe Sánchez Cetina

Parfait. The lobster is beyond excellence.

Troy Johnson

Ridiculous expensive but definitely once in a lifetime experience.

Maureen Kelley

Now that Grace and Tru closed, wanting a five star dining experience? Keep reading.....

Samantha Gowan

Fun atmosphere, food was phenomenal as well as the service. Nothing negative to say. We were celebrating our anniversary and staff were coming out of the blue just walking by the table wishing us a happy anniversary. They treat you like family here. Definitely will be back.

martín glusberg

The best. Expensive.

Darrel Chan

Great food with one of the best scenic in chicago

Paul Patten

I have eaten here probably 30 times over 30 years. Everest has no rival in Chicago.

Florencia Garza

I have been going to Everest for the past 10 years and I was my favorite restaurant in Chicago up until this past Saturday when I was greeted by the worst surprise of my life, I encountered RACISM, yes you heard me correctly, RACISM, this coming from the newly appointed MANAGER from this fabulous restaurant. A MANAGER who knows nothing about SERVICE or CUSTOMERS, knows nothing about the golden rule of service "THE CLIENT IS ALWAYS RIGHT" and who has the audacity of saying that he does not care about the client, the client being me because I am no one, eventhough I made my reservation a month in advance and asked for an specific table and have been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years. That goes out the window because he does not care, better yet, from the start he believes I do not speak English and so he sends me someone that might be able to speak my language so on top of eveything, he proceeds to insult me... it has been such a disappointing experience which I wanted to share with you all because until this man learns the most fundamental rules of service, you will all be completely disrepected at this fabulous restaurant which is such a pity because the food is out of this world, the waiters are sweet and honest and the ambience is the best in Chicago but one person ruins it all: the MANAGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

David Ledersnaider

There vegetarian menu not as first class as I would expect.

Torrey Vegter

Amazing Meal. This was the best meal I've had in Chicago. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the service was great!

Shamit Khemka

Good food. Expensive but worth it.

nuo yan

Describing dinner at Everest is like trying to describe love. All the good feelings, all the pleasing sensations are so vivid in my memory and yet there are no words to appropriately convey the heavenly nature of each course.

Kozue Aochi Kato

Delicious food, very well paced, just like how a restaurant like this should be.

Teresa Jennewein

Beautiful view. Best service in Chicago. Perfect for that special night.

Mark Hollander

Amazing food, service and experience. Was $900 for 4 people but definitely won't forget it anytime soon.

Nancy Novit

Great ambiance. Service not special, food very good, but not special. Difficult to get to and from. Management needs to take a hard look.

Deadmaulace

The food was outstanding. Combined with the view and the great service, this is my personal favorite restaurant.

Al Rosin

The Chefs Tasting Menu was outstanding! They even arranged a Vegan Tasting Menu for my girlfriend! Incredible experience.

Megan Padgett

Their vegetarian dishes are, hands down, the best I've ever had. It's so nice to have composed, savory, vegetarian dishes in a beautiful atmosphere. You can tell the chef puts just as much thought and energy into the vegetarian side of the menu as he does in the meat-based one, which is a refreshing change to the afterthought mentality of most fine dining restaurants.

Anthony French

Desserts are awesome. Never had so much tasty food before. It was little bit costly.

Tonya Collins

Great service and food

Laura Agapay-Read

Like a luxury trip for your palate. They take good care of you.

Cinque Tang

Our view was excellent and the menu had a large variety of tasty options for each course. Lisa was our main server but the entire staff provided top notch service and attention to detail. The lobster soup and sea bass were phenomenal.

Casey Hoogstraten

Everest never disappoints. If you are ready to spend $150/bottle plus on wine you'll have an even greater experience. Rely on the friendly sommelier to help you.

Jacob Cervantes

Called to cancel my reservation, and was still charged 150? That's fine I will not be returning.

Todd Peterson

This place is great. I love it. The view is amazing, service is excellent.

Eli Callahan

Absolutely 5 Stars!

crystal israel

For a high end prefix restaurant, Everest falls short. There are other restaurants in the city that offer a way better experience and more complex dishes. Also the decor can be updated since it's still stuck in the 90s.

Joel Stevens

french food, so tasty. Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. The service here is above par. Prices were appropriate.

Lynn Bakiares

Five stars all around - the food was incredible. In between each course we were treated to a palette cleansing treat which was completely unexpected. Some in our party had very specific medical dietary restrictions. The kitchen had no issue accommodating our very special needs. The service was impeccable - the best I've ever experienced. The views are breathtaking. Lastly the decor is elegant and the music was apropos to a top notch dining experience. I cannot recommend it enough. This does come at a price, but the quality of food and service is on par with it. This is not a casual dining experience. Put on your best attire and get ready to be wowed.

This was one of the worst Michelin star restaurants I have ever been to. We sat down and ordered a bottle of 2002 Dom and then proceeded to wait an hour before we received our menus. They ran out of the dish that got them the star on a Saturday night before mothers day.... The service was extremely slow, no wine list was offered and we had to ask for it when the dinner started. The food was extremely lackluster and we had to send back a steak entree. No compensation, dessert or anything was offered to make up for the steak (they made a new one that we had to take to go because at that point it wasn't worth staying there to eat it). I can find better food than this from a street vendor.

Me and my wife were celebrating birth of our first grandson so it was pretty special to us. I was shocked how rude their management is. I honestly thought that we at least deserve to be welcomed properly. I usually don’t write reviews and don’t complain but this gentleman ruined my night. I just wanted to walk away but my wife asked me to give it a chance. What can I say? Food was awesome, perfectly paired wines with true grand French cooking, I have never seen “synchronized theatre like” service before and I’ve been to many places, that alone was worth watching, never had to wait or ask for anything. Everything just magically appeared in timely manner, so cudos to the guys who saved our night and impressed us. We also witnessed how the same manager was extremely rude to one of the employees so I admire how she came to the table with a smile even though she looked like she was going to cry. I don’t think this is appropriate to treat anyone like that, especially in front of other customers and in a place like that. So we left with bittersweet memories and if it wasn’t for the manager, I would have given it 5 Stars.

The entire experience was amazing! There are so many little details that you would never get at any other place. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive.
