Great food (huge portions, well made), efficient, friendly service. Got there late, 1030pm or so, bar crowd was loud, but very reasonably so. Tables filled and turned at a good clip, but there was no rush felt by any of us. Not our first visit, so we warned our guests about portion sizes- no one listened, of course, so there was easily a second meal taken home by all.

This past weekend my friends and I came to have some food at this restaurant. It is possibly the worst experience I have had eating out. One of our party members ordered their food at the bar to get their food faster, while the rest of us waited for a table. The waitress did attend to us quickly in the beginning and we placed our order right away. It took a whole hour for our food to be brought out to us and when it got to our table the food was cold already. On top of that the party member that ordered at the bar to get her food faster, didn't get her food till last so she waited over an hour. Two of our orders were also incorrect. When we asked to speak to a manager about this concern they had said that the manager was gone for the day. Therefore the waitress couldn't even remove the incorrect food from our total. I personally don't run a restaurant but how could someone leave their restaurant without someone in charge who can handle this things. I was given a business card and told to call the next day to speak to a manager yet when I called there was yet again no manager. Suffice to say I will not be returning due to the horrible service and not even a managerial staff to address these issues. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

It's a place we go to have work meetings often. I drink and eat compliments of my boss but the food is good, the service is friendly and the prices seem decent. Good atmosphere for adults.

All day Irish breakfast is excellent if a bit expensive ($18). Good happy hour, daily specials and they also have a weekend breakfast buffet til 1 p.m. Lots of t.v.s and they put the sound on for soccer games.

I'm actually sitting at the bar of Emerald Irish pub. First of all it took probably 8 to 10minutes for the bartender to come by to take order. I asked for food menu and received menu right away as she was making my drink. It's been 15 minutes and she is just chilling behind the bar, not coming back to me to take order. Didnt get her name but she got some thick glasses, blonde/brown long hair pony tail, left for her shift at around 5pm on4/6 Saturday. She needs to be retrained on customer service. I'm sorry, she sucks, I would never hire person like her. And seems like she did not communicate to the new bartender who just started her shift cuz I'm still waiting... lol

Stopped in for an appetizer and a drink and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The sangria was so good and the poutine was filling and melty deliciousness! Very happy the green lights grabbed my eye. Was very slow at 230pm but picked up right at 3pm

Went here late night with my honey and a friend. It was on independence day, so the place was pretty full. We ordered strawberry basil cocktails and a sundried cheese dip. It was perfect for a late night snack. The menu looks extensive, will definitely return and try more.

Cocktails weren't great, so probably best to keep you drinks neat or stick to the beer selection. Some food items like their Mac and cheeses we're pretty great, while others like the wraps we're about what you'd expect from a decent cafeteria. I'd go back, but found the overall product quality just average.

Not bad. But not great. This place has location going for it. Sitting outside and enjoying a beer on a hot summer day is nice. The service is pretty good too. Wine list is weak. Irish beer beer and whiskey list is good. Food is typical pub food of decent quality, but never had anything to write home about. I would say my experience coming here is exactly what you would expect from an Irish pub.

The bar was recommended as a good place to watch the Stanley Cup finals; however, it was not. They have multiple big screen TVs playing the game, but no audio and none of the staff follow hockey whatsoever. The bar was good, staff was friendly, drinks were good but food was bad. You could smell that the fish and/or shrimp were not fresh, really foul. I wouldn't go back, sorry.

More or less a bar food menu but they do have some more substantial entrees as well. They also have specials. We tried this place because their kitchen stays open late. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. They also have a breakfast buffet but we did not try it.

I’m An Irish student coming over to the USA and applied in the emerald loop to which I was told I had a job and I could stop applying for further positions, this was the last I heard from the management who did not reply to me despite their assurances and as I was required to have a job before I came from Ireland I was forced to delay my flights and look for jobs elsewhere, I’m sure the food is great but their dealing with potential employees left me in a bad situation.

Stopped here for lunch it out experience was good - not less or more. The restaurant is located right downtown with a few parking options nearby. Our server was nice and friendly. The menu - not a lot of food choices, pretty basic, but also very reasonably priced given the location of the venue. Food came out quickly and tasted ok (wasn’t impressed with Mac & cheese), but overall it was a good experience.

Our Poutine was great. Large beer list as well. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice little space on the street to sit outside, but it closes early (forcing you to move inside). If you're looking for a chill place to eat and drink in the loop, you can't go wrong here.

My fiancé and I were visiting Chicago last night for a show at the Chicago Theatre and decided to grab a drink at the emerald loop before the show. When we walked in we were greeted by the hostess with eye rolls upon hearing we weren't ordering food. Our server was rude and impatient and acted as if we were an inconvience. Im writing this in hopes that managment can address this as it seemed like a cool place but the staff we encountered ruined the experience.

The wings were AMAZING. So crunchy and perfectly cooked. I went with the mango habanero. I think I also got the Bangers n mash, and those sausages were also really well cooked. Well cooked and crunchy and juicy. Nice atmosphere

Happy hour is pretty great, especially compared to the places around the area. Staff is always nice. The nachos are delicious and very filling. You can make reservations or walk in. They have tables for small groups and the space for large groups. Also the drink selection is good, usually have a few different ciders too!

Great little sports/Irish bar. You know exactly what you're getting when you walk in and it doesn't disappoint. It feels old, which I love. Just over the river, in the loop, it's ready access. The menu is pub fare, burgers to salads. I had fish and chips, which came with a huge piece of chips, prefectly cooked. Why only 3 stars? It's Chicago, there are incredible places to eat, but if you're looking for the game and a great beer, highly recommended.

Got us in quick, but once we were in we had horrible service. We were told they had gluten free options, and that there was a gluten free menu. Where is the menu? The waitress said that they warm the buns on the grill and scrape off the gluten when it burns? I didn’t know you could do that? If you’re going to post you are gluten free have something other than salads, and be well informed about it. The waitress was at our table to take our drinks and food order, but was non existent after that. We had to get our own silverware! Oh and by the way I understand I ordered your cheap beer special, but come on Luke warm beer? I’m only giving you this because you took us in quick on a busy Saturday night. Oh and train your waitress to be a little more helpful.

This was the perfect restaurant for my fiance and I to go to after a drive into chicago. We are staying at the Wyndham and it was just a 5 minute walk around the corner. It was very chill and dont have to dress up. The prices were very reasonable. Her and I shared the New York strip dinner that was $30 and an app. It was plenty of food for the both of us.

After arriving in Chicago for our 5 day wedding anniversary trip, we were really hungry and took a walk looking for lunch. Happened upon the Emerald Loop, just around the corner from the Wyndham Grand. Got there just at opening right before the lunch crowd and ordered the lunch special for Thursday..Corned Beef and Cabbage. Excellent meal cooked to perfection, served with a smile and washed down with my favourite Irish brew..a "Car Bomb". Food was excellent, staff was excellent, and overall experience was great. Will most certainly be back next time in in the "Windy City".

Stopped in here for late night snack and beer. Walked in, went to a table just near the stairs, when a rude girl came over and asked "is this where to want to sit" and we said yes, and she tossed some menus on the table and said "ok great" super snottily, and stalked off. We waited and waited and no one ever came to our table. So we got up to go directly to the bar. Again she stopped us, and asked where we were going ONCE AGAIN rude tone. She definitely shouldn't be a hostess, she's the rudest person. Ended up going to Hoyt's where the service was great and FRIENDLY.

Handicap accessible. Big spacey place. Lots of tables. Taller tables in bar area and short tables for dining. Food is awesome. Burgers, flatbread pizzas, salmon and chicken to steaks. Seasoned fries and salads. Staff is very nice and accommodating. They have a area for private parties. And if you work in the industry they give you a discount.
