We went in with a large group on a Sunday morning so I thought we would have a long wait but we did not! We were seated quickly, server was nice and friendly, and the food came quickly. I had the breakfast tacos and I thought they were very good! It reminded me of my Mom's breakfast meals!!

I like this place! It's our go to when we visit the Windy City. interior is a little rough. Might suggest smaller portion size with the savings going to sprucing up the decor. Wait staff is always on point! Friendly and fast.

Positives: I never have to go there again. Negatives: - Took a solid 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. - Took nearly 30 minutes for one plate of food to arrive with no communication from anyone in between. - Cashier didn't have any change and simply shrugged...making no attempt to get some.

So the presentation and taste of the food was rather delicious but the fact that the toilet seat moved set back my eggsperience. I give the facilities 3 stars. You can drop a deuce here if you have too but I wouldn't recommend planning on it.

The place was pretty packed for a Saturday morning, which should be expected. We sat at the bar and ordered food there. A lady who came in after us got her food before us. The server lied to me and said my order was in when he clearly forgot. We didn't even get the food until she had already finished and left. The waiter guy was all over the place and unorganized but very polite. The food was good but service is meh.

Was in town for a bachelor party, we decided to try this place. The food, when it finally came out was good except for one in our party that received approximately a quarter of an egg shell spread throughout his meal. Another table also received their food before ours even after arriving approximately 20 minutes after us. The waitress was terrible. Would not split our bill, said she could not. Told us she would get the manager and never did. I would avoid this one if you can.

A must visit breakfast stop for me everytime I visit Chicago. It's usually pretty busy, but I've never waited longer than 20 minutes. They offer a variety of egg related dishes, with options for vegetairans as well. The Tommy Boy skillet is a favorite amongst me friend group for it's hangover curing properties*. The coffee is decent as well. * Tommy boy skillet will not actually sure hangover, stay hydrated.

Nice place we only ordered a basic breakfast (eggs Bacon and sausage ) but my breakfast had a hair in it and when mentioned to my waiter he only said oh and took my plate and never brought it back with food so I basically paid for something I didn't eat. Again my first time so I can't say it's a bad place to go. I didn't complain we just paid and took off.

Came here after getting two independent recommendations and my oh my had it earned them. I had a triple crown waffle with strawberries, blueberries, and granola. So good I had to go back the next weekend taking a friend. I still dream about that breakfast. The staff were nice enough to remember me the second time too.

Plentiful portions, great variety of options on the menu, moderately priced, clean and friendly atmosphere, wide open dining room design, cute decor, good service, clean restrooms. Service is a bit on the slow side, nobody came to check on me as I was eating, the waiting staff seems to have a hard time organizing themselves. However, the food I ordered (chilaquiles with scrambled eggs) was good, it tasted fresh and I felt like it was worth my money's worth. Only open for lunch and breakfast. Unlike other restaurants in the area, it doesn't seem to get crazy busy and crowded at lunch time.

Had a great experience with Eggsperience (no pun intended). It was a cold and cloudy day. The timing was perfect for some brunch. We got there and it was busy. We were seated in a booth and immediately got served hot coffee. After ordering, we expected a longer wait but was pleasantly surprised to get our food in a jiffy. Apparently, things got busier in the summer. The food was great. Not mind-blowing but was perfectly portioned. The entree was not too savory and the blueberry crepe has just a hint of sweetness. Just how I like it. Overall, I would recommend the place. Great for brunch. Prices are not that high and the atmosphere is cozy.

It was freezing in the establishment. Ordered a skillet, potatoes were under cooked. It was like biting into an apple. When they brought the replacement meal, they forgot the eggs on the skillet. The skillet comes with a side of toast, they brought us two slices of untoasted bread. The family next to us, was having the same bad "eggsperience" we were.

Their menu is huge. We had a party of five and got in immediately with no wait on a Saturday morning at 8am. It started filling up a little more at about 9. It was a little hard to get the attention of our server for water refills, as she was working most, if not all, tables in the restaurant. Regardless, food came out really quickly. I had a wrap with bacon, cheddar, and scrambled eggs. It was delicious and I ended up having about a quarter of it leftover. They accommodated our vegan in the group by preparing hash browns, peppers, and onions sauteed in olive oil. My sons ordered the chocolate chip waffle and chocolate chip pancakes and....let me just say you would have to like eating full mouthfuls of melted chocolate to enjoy them. Luckily they do, but even they commented that it could have been a bit less. There was as much chocolate as there was pancake or waffle, and neither of them finished. The atmosphere is casual, open, light, and airy. Booths and tables are available. No reservations needed (I'm not even sure they take them). Great place for breakfast.

Maybe it was the day, maybe it was the food choice, but this place should have nowhere near a 4.1 rating. I had the chicken n’ waffles bennie and my wife had the chicken n’ waffles. My Benedict poached eggs were hard boiled, the chicken was meh and the waffles were a lot like hotel waffle iron waffles. The hollandaise sauce was insufficient for the size of the meal, so I ended up dipping my Benedict in the carafe of syrup for my wife’s meal, which was actually alright. Oh, and the glass of milk I ordered was warm. Oh, and the waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes, other patrons who hadn’t received their food were asking other waiters/waitresses where the waitress for our section had gone, where was their food, etc. Oh, and the table next to us had two plates out and the 3rd and 4th plates were like 15 minutes behind the first two. The good stuff, the music they had playing was fun, the staff was friendly and the price is reasonable. I mean don’t get me wrong, we definitely overpaid for what we got, but it would have been reasonable if the food had been decent. Enough time spent in/on Eggsperience Cafe. Moving along.

I've been to Eggsperiance several times and the food is always great but can I just say that Jesus S is one of the best servers I've ever had. He was nice, friendly and helpful. He really embodied what great customer service is. He's like a whirlwind going from one task to the next but always spared a second to check on us. Thanks for the great breakfast and service!

Took forever to get acknowledged by server. Their espresso machine was broken so none of their coffee except for the regular brewed coffee was available. Their menu said "freshly squeezed ice cold juice"...meanwhile I saw the server pouring the juice out of a "Pom Wonderful" bottle. And the "mango orange" juice definitely didn't taste freshly squeezed either. Nor were neither of them "ice cold"...room temp at best. Took forever to get our food (place wasn't full or super busy) and the food was just ok. We were never asked how our food was. Never asked if we wanted anything else. Waited at least 15 minutes after we were completely done eating with our plates stacked before getting up and asking for our bil. I asked the server if she had forgotten about us and she just smugly said; "Oh I didn't forget about you guys." Somehow that answer made things worse for me! I've never not tipped before...there's a first time for everything...I definitely did not leave a tip this time. On top of all of that, their AC "was broken", so it was pretty hot in there. I get that might be out of their control, but the only way I found out it was broken is overhearing one of the other patrons talking about it after asking. When these things happen (along with having a broken espresso machine for example) an establishment should be proactive about it and let their customers know and give them the option of still dining with them vs. not. You don't just hope and pray everything goes well. Needless to say, I would recommend you go elsewhere for breakfast when in town. You'll be glad you did!

We waited over 10 minutes for a waitress to even get us drinks. Another near 15 minutes to get the drinks. And over 30 minutes to get our food. During that time, the waitress not ONCE came to check on our drinks or get refills or an update on our food. In fact, she didnt once the entire time during our trip. When we got our food, it was luke warm and the hash browns were cold. I asked for salsa and hot sauce and only got the salsa. She didnt come back up once after to even ask for the hot sauce again. Fast forward another 30 minutes waiting after eating to get our check. She checked on other tables often and it was hard to get our check to pay. By far the worst experience we had dining on our vacation to Chicago.

Quiet, which is so hard to find. Good diner breakfast. I drink tea rather than coffee, and their English Breakfast comes loose leaf brewed in a good-size pot with very hot water. Awesome! I went two weekdays in a row, in early afternoon. Not very busy. Service was night and day. The first day's waiter gave immaculate, faultless, prompt, accurate service. Big tip-worthy. The second day, I had trouble getting someone to come to my table. After finally taking my order, the waiter had to come back and ask what I said. (The order kiosk was about 20 ft. away.) From then on, I had to ask for everything twice, or ask once and wait awhile. My pancakes came out at a different time than my eggs, etc. By the time I asked about them (I was almost done with eggs, which would have been OK because pancakes were dessert), they had been under the heat lamp so long I could barely touch the plate and the top pancake was hard. (which was OK, because I only wanted one, so I ate the bottom one.) Both waiters were really pleasant and friendly. I just think the second one might be in the wrong line of work. I felt like I had to do almost as much work as he did to get my breakfast. Five stars first day, three stars second, for an average of four. Maybe I'll go back and see which is more typical.

Atmosphere was great. Service was good. Food was adequate. Prices were decent. The only reason I give them four stars is because of some discrepancies between the menu and what actually came out. For instance, the “fresh squeezed” orange juice was definitely not fresh squeezed. The “caramelized apples” on the pancakes were definitely not caramelized (see photos). Rather, it was just a caramel glaze. We respectfully asked our waitress about this, who kind of jokingly said, “yeah, some of the menu is a bit of an exaggeration.”

Eggsperience Cafe is a very tasty restaurant with great prices. I recommend smoothies. They're delicious! My issue here is that they aren't careful about mixing your food with someone else's. Both times I've been here I've told the server that I'm vegetarian, and both times I've found chunks of meat in my food that wasn't even supposed to have meat to begin with. I understand that this is not the waiter's fault at all!

These guys are Eggsperts in breakfast. I ordered the meat lovers Skillet and it was great. They even have these really cool coffee cups. The server was quick on the money on point. The food was not expensive but tasted very well and if I am ever in the area again I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast anytime of day. But of course parking is an issue so be prepared.

We had an excellent server who entertained us with puns while providing truly great service. Wasn't overbearing, gave us enough time to check the menu, answered questions, and updated us throughout the wait. It didn't take long to get our food. I ordered the waffle with Greek yogurt on top and it was fantastic. The yogurt was Soo rich and creamy with a dollop of honey and that all complimented the waffle so well. Definitely should have had two meals from that but nope, ate it all up. Considering the size of the helpings and the location the price was moderate. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his chorizo breakfast as well.

This restaurant and location is by far the BEST dining experience I have ever had in Chicago. We were greeted by every single person we had an interaction with, everyone had a smile and everyone just seemed very happy to be there. We had Katerina as our waitress and she definitely made our experience very enjoyable! Definitely looking forward to coming back! By the way, the house made green sauce is phenomenal!

A great place for good, classic breakfast fare. They do have lunch items as well. The service is great and quick. It's a spacious place with a good amount of seating. The prices are fair and it's well kept and clean. It is certainly worth a visit.

Red, Velvet, Pancakes. Yeah they have em. Dam right they were delicious. Their take on chilaquiles was not bad either, better than a lot of places in Texas. Great place to get your day started, highly recommend.

Nice breakfast place, many kind of dishes. The taste almost there, better then a lot around. For me it was too dry. Otherwise it was good, I recommand it!

Cute place. They did not have an oven working so I didn't get what I ordered. Switched to a skillet. Not impressed. Order the pancakes. Great service. Liked that there was lemon water on the tables.
