French food and service at this location is great. Visited on a Wednesday I think. The staff was very kind and attentive. This place has a cool atmosphere.

Brown Michael

Distinctive dining and the food was Fantastic! Simple decor but delectible entrees. The quail is perfection with a buttery Chablis and after dinner sweets...

We heard about Brindille through the Chicago's Best New Restaurants article in the May 2014 Chicago Magazine. It was quiet, dark, and very... grey and unassuming. We ordered the beef tenderloin, hand-cut noodles, frisee and a soup; but I think my favorite part of the dinner was dessert- L'oeuf a la neige was unforgettable. It is an experience to relish the complex layers of flavors without distraction.

The decor is lovely. The welcome is warm; the service is attentive and the food is wonderful. We recently took our grandson, Elias, and ordered the 5 course meal. He was impressed.

Flawless. I go here about once a year for some of the best French food I've ever eaten stateside.

Cozy, nice restaurant, but don't go there hungry, small portions, good for people who are in diet

I am prejudiced about Brindille, and anything Carrie or Michael Nahabedian do in the restaurant world. Carrie's skill as a chef is legendary, certainly well known in this country and recognized by the James Beard Foundation. Michael's business acumen, and aplomb as a restauranteur, helped put Chicago on the "foodie" map. Yet, most importantly, their warmth, love for family, good food, and happy times reverberates through every restaurant they open. Brindille is a classic French restaurant, that just happens to be in Chicago. We were just in Paris for a week, and Brindille would be comfortable as a Michelin starred dining destination, sitting on a block in the sixth, seventh, eighth, sixteenth, or seventeenth arrondissements. As River North changes, overtaken by the hordes of drunken young people, looking for another beer, margarita and fish taco, Brindille sits on Clark Street as a beacon of fine dining. The patrons of Brindille know what Carrie and Michael offer; great food, elegant surroundings, and a dining refuge. Chicago is lucky to have Brindille. Go and discover what fine dining is all about. This is grown up elegance.

I was lucky enough to go here for a special event with a multi-course tasting menu (with wine pairings). One of the best meals of my life. Well-crafted, thoughtful dishes; excellent pairings; lovely atmosphere; very friendly staff.

I went to a wonderful private wine tasting this afternoon at Brindille and the food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and there was no loud music that allowed for pleasant conversation. We had several courses and the wines paired nicely with the food. Bravo to everyone that worked so hard for this tasting event!

As a 21 year old it was still very much enjoyable and well worth the money for the experience! My girlfriend and I were at odds over whether the duck or quail was better( I think the quail)! Make reservations and you shouldn't have a problem at all.

Doug Anderson

Everything on the menu is excellent.

The best. Chef Carrie Naha never dissapoints. The Ribeye is second to none and the dessert cheese course is very satisfying.

Lovely and expensive French restaurant. Nice elegant decor. Perfect for a date or celebration. Try their New Brunswick Oysters. I was surprised that being a French restaurant they did not have mussels. Their current online menu is not up to date.

Terrific place for French food & wine. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Noise level was a bit loud for conversation, but we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

Simply amazing food and service

Very nice French style restaurant, even if owners are'nt... Ideal for romantic dinners. Very quiet place. Everything look elegant. Plates tastes good, presentation is perfect and service is excellent. Even the valet parking bring your car before you have to ask for it... Probably one of the top restaurant in Chicago! Why not 5 stars? Because of its prices and its (French) wine list too limited (and expensive too).

One of the BEST restaurants I have ever been to! From the incredibly welcoming staff, to the pleasant surprise of having a taster cup of warm mushroom soup immediately brought to our table (it was to die for), to the perfectly complimentary dishes, the amazing wine, and just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more, they couldn’t let us leave without bringing a tiny taster from their award-winning pastry chef before we left (best two bites of dessert I have ever had!). We traveled up to Chicago for the very first time to get a taste of their food scene- this was our first stop and we were completely blown away! Keep up the good work, Brindille!

This intimate, sophisticated and romantic spot is an absolute find. A perfectly creative French bistro in River North with James Beard service and food. A foodie find that is not a scene is my definition of perfection.

Delicious, but at the high end of my budget.

Sorry to say I was disappointed with Brindille - we waited an hour for two appetizers and a further hour for two entrees to be served. Given that my $60+ Dover Sole would cook in 4 mins it was an excessive wait. The food was decent when it arrived but by 10.30 we'd lost our appetite. Grateful for our wine to be comp'd nonetheless won't be rushing back.

Love this place so much. Great for dates or business dinners. Service is impeccable and food is divine. Would recommend this place to anyone for a nicer dinner. The restaurant is on the smaller side but the art they've picked out is so beautiful. If you appreciate french food, I think you'll really appreciate this place. It might even be better than NAHA (strong words i know, haha).

Unbelievable.

Excellent place. Room is beautiful and they have a menu with old french standards done with an interesting twist which makes them different and good

Gavin Bullock

Ok spot for delicious french food. the bill was fair for the quality of food.

Rodolphe T

Food was really good but portions are small, even if that's what you would usually expect from this type of restaurant. The service was great and the chef made vegetarian entrees specially for us.

Pricey, but you will feel it is money well-spent. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, as no detail is remiss! The Decor feels like it's straight out of Armani Casa. The servers are well-spoken, friendly, and spot-on with food and wine recommendations--and strike the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. (Bonus points for the fact that when I started to feel chilly underneath the vent in our cozy banquette, our Server immediately turned it down to a comfortable level). Tres magnifique!

Easy to get to, valet parking is available, and all of the food was terrific. Make sure to get the scallop and also the corn fennel soup is to die for. When doing the tasting menu, spend the money and get the bigger one for more experiences, and compare prices of wines unless you just want to do the wine pairing, which I recommend. Overall great!

Delicious food, amazing drinks, and top-notch, attentive service.

An upscale, fine dining spot that stands above the crowded River North dining scene. The elegant decor matches the rich, decadent dishes. The ambiance is subdued as the crowd skews noticeably older, likely thanks to the steep prices and extensive wine list. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented, rich in flavor, and flawlessly prepared. Best suited for celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a quiet, intimate night out. - Visited on: August 3, 2013

Very positive review of this place - we hosted an executive event for the company here for many of our top clients. We booked the whole venue. Service was superior. People offering to take our coats as we walked in, offer us a cocktail or drinks, and more. The food was pretty good overall as well. Kicked off with oysters, went into greens/meats, and ended up delicious desserts. Man the dessert was awesome - macaroons, cookies, and more. Very impressed. The ambiance of this place is very romantic also. Great date spot. I'd definitely return here for a date, client dinner, or just to catch up with friends.

Kristy Mayer-Mejia

Food was good, but disappointing for the price. Some of the dishes had odd flavor combinations that fell flat. For that price, I would have expected something more creative and more on point
