They make delicious Korean, American, and Korean - American fusion food. Their chicken wings are particularly good. They're cooked twice to a crisp perfection. Just be aware that they take 30 minutes to make. Parking is free, the service is good, and the place has the feel of a sports bar.

The one on 40 is better. Both locations are always dry to us, but they won't give you extra sauce because they are freaked out that someone will steal the recipe, so they take it in the back and "paint" it on, srsly. They never paint enough. also, no half orders, so if you are dining for one, you are still getting 10 big pieces and it's not great heated up the next day. Twice, I've had mouthwatering, juicy. wonderful chicken pieces, but more than that, small and dry pieces. the salmon ball is to die for!

Absolutely love the food!! It’s always so so good. Service is always quick. Staff is very friendly. I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like their wings. The few Korean dishes I’ve tried have been really good as well. I have recommended them to a few people and everyone seems to really like the food.

Have ordered carry out from here many times and the quality is consistently subpar. The service alone makes us cringe. We’ve called in the order 2-3 hours AHEAD of pickup time and still had to wait 20-30 minutes when we get there. The last time, our food had been sitting right next to the cashier for 5-10 minutes. He had told me to sit down and wait until it was ready. Why am I waiting when it’s right next to you? Today, our food was again on the counter next to the cashier for 5 minutes and I was standing right in front of him. Never an apology when I brought this issue up to him either. We’ll be finding a new location or dropping BonChon all together from now on.

This bonchon chicken located inside a small shipping center, not easy to see it from the street, but it always has lots of people eat inside. Parking lot is descent size if you drive into that shopping center, and is free. Teast of chicken is unique. Worth to try.

I had lunch here off their lunch special menu. Price seemed reasonable (under $10) for lunch and dinner portions around $12-$15. Atmosphere and music were modern and enjoyable. Servers were attentive and food came quickly and was delicious. Their wings here are really good and perfectly cooked. Had the tofu Bi Bim Bap bowl and it was good, the tofu was a little under seasoned but beside that this place is awesome. I will defiantly be back for a casual lunch or dinner.

Wings seem smaller than the ones at Chinatown but the sauces are the same. Ordered the lunch special today. They didn’t give any radish, so I asked for some and when I paid I realize they charged me. In Chinatown when you order wings they give you free radish even if it’s a lunch special! If you’re craving Korean wings I would recommend going to the one in Chinatown instead, but if you can’t then this location is an inferior substitute.

F you like your chicken with a crispy coating this is the place. However there is something strange about the the coating it is almost like a balloon around the meat. Do not get me wrong I really like the flavor and texture. I will receive mend and return. Staff was very friendly.

The chicken wings were great. They were cooked well. I don't think I can go to places like buffalo wild wings again without being disappointed in the wings. The fries were also good. They gave us two free orders of them by mistake. The service does take a little longer, so make sure you don't go during a work lunch break.

Outstanding! Some of the best food I've had this year. It has some standard dishes with a Korean twist. The menu is not overly large but contains something for everyone. There were 7 of us and everybody ordered something different. The chicken was great. The wings, drumsticks and tenders were quite crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The spicy sauce had a good kick to it. The Bonchon sauce was just a bit salty for me but had good flavor. One of the sides available is pickled daikon which I highly recommend. The soups were delicious with plenty of veggies. The ramen were fresh and silky. The marinated beef slice dishes were also excellent. The kimchee as a side was a great accompaniment. Prices were very reasonable. Service was quite quick even though they were busy. A fabulous place for lunch or dinner just west of Woodfield mall on Golf road (Illinois 58). Free parking and wheelchair accessible.

Yummy we stopped in after theater in the area and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was very nice and our food was very tasty. Shrimp shumai and bibimbap were great. We also really loved the salmon avocado. Will definitely return.

Perhaps I failed to notice this while dining the other night, but when I warmed up my ddukbokki this morning, I found something stuck halfway in the rice cake. Looked like a piece off a steel sponge. I was immediately appalled. I enjoy Bonchon, but will not be returning to the Ellicott City location. Steel is not edible. Absolutely unacceptable.

This is their second Chicago location. I was surprised to find that it is a bit less casual than the Chinatown location, but it makes sense knowing the neighborhood. I think the Chinatown location is a bit better. But it was still good. I like to order the chicken strips spicy and ginger soy. They do not have a lot of vegetarian options- but the steamed buns and chicken is good. They also do not serve dessert. This location does, however, serve alcohol. I would come here again because of convenience, but I would prefer to go to Chinatown because it is slightly better.

My family and I ate there this afternoon, we had the soy garlic and the sweet crunch chicken, bulgogi tacos, fries and pot stickers. The service was good but the food was to expensive. The soy garlic chicken, pot stickers and bulgogi tacos was good but the sweet crunch chicken tasted medicinal. The fries had a good flavor but was super greasy and the tacos didn't have enough bulgogi beef.

Trust me, This place is awesome! The Soy Garlic Tenders will not disappoint. It is flavorful and scrumptious. I haven’t had anything else from here, but if it’s not broke....make sure to ask for extra sauce on the chicken!

Korean food is not even close to being one of my favorite types of food, but this place can fry a mean chicken. The strips take less time to cook, so if time is of the essence, try the boneless rather than the bone-in, but do try them. I ordered the japchae, my mum the bibimbap. We were both well pleased withour food although intolerances meant I had to remove some of my vegetables, and I would have liked a few more. The bibimbap was served in a sizzling crock that continued to sizzle and gave the rice a nice crispy crust on the bottom. The service was prompt and very courteous and I would not hesitate to go here again.

Sat at the bar. Clean good atmosphere and decoration - tv's for sports. But I waited 24 minutes after ordering to receive my chicken katsu. Others who were seated and ordered after me got their food before I did. It wasn't the servers fault - the woman acting as expediter didn't make my order a priority and maybe forgot to fire it. Rice was good. But plain. Chicken cutlet was a bit dry and not enough brown sauce. Not really special or worth going back to. Restaurant was a third full and i waited more than 20 minutes for a flash fried chicken breast on rice.

I called in to order a pick-up, I ordered 20 wings. I asked if they can put 10 wings in one box and other 10 wings in another box. The receptionist say " I can't do that." I'm just freeze for a second. Then, I asked if they can give me an extra box. He say " I will try." I'm confused with the receptionist. I do not understand why they cannot seperate 20 wings in different boxes.

Was not impressed with this location. I eat Bonchons in Stapleton all the time and it is amazing. I spent $140 for food that tasted old. I told my friends how amazing Bonchons was and all of us were left with a giant disappointment and plenty of wings left uneaten. My friends will not be returning! However the waitress was very nice!

This location is great, the food is always consistent and delicious. This is by far one of the better location in the state. Waiters have always been nice and friendly. Making me feel welcome and comfortable. The menu is user friendly, not crammed with stuff so very easy on the eyes and easy to make a decision. The only downside to this location is the selection of non-alcoholic drinks and seating can be tough to get. So be prepared to wait for a seat. Overall highly recommend this location.

The food is good but overpriced on some items. I love the rice but I noticed yesterday they gave us just enough rice for 2 people with no room for seconds but a few weeks ago we took our two kids and we all had rice with plenty to take home. If your gonna play with the portion play with the $13.97 price. Also, we ordered strips but received wings and had to wait another 30mins for the right order but by then was ready to go. We asked for boxes and the young lady offered to take it and box it, got home to realize that she took back the pickled radish that came with the order. I'm just praying they didn't serve it to anyone else but would also like to know why she felt the need to take it back?

Went for lunch on Friday - I couldn’t get over how quiet it was. As normal for any Bonchon location, the chicken was fantastic and they do a great lunch special. They currently have beers on the menu but no wine or liquor. The staff were pleasant and the space was clean.

Chicken always good, the food does take a bit but it is made to order. The waiter forgot our side of coleslaw but after eating everything we ordered, it didnt matter because they didn't charge us for it and we were full. The location is in a weird area to drive into so that was a struggle. Also there wasnt too much seating so itd be better to have smaller parties.

Amazing chicken!! Bonchon has lots of options. The seasoned fries are great and the bulgogi is very good. However, the bonchon chicken is to die for. It's crispy and glazy at the same time. The flavor is amazing and the texture makes it an experience. Definitely recommend both sweet and spicy flavors, you won't regret it

Soy garlic wings - 5/5. Spectacular. Spicy wings - 5/5. Too spicy for me, but my BiL says they're amazing; spicy but tasty, as opposed to Buffalo Wild Wings which try to be hot without flavor. Bibimbop - 5/5. Two of us ordered versions of this, and both were excellent.

Their place has one of the best chicken that I've had. (And I've had a lot of chicken). They have unique flavors one being soy garlic and one that's very spicy. The spicy one is a little tooo much for me but lots of my friends enjoy it. It's funny to see them eat a ton and see them struggle with it. They give free cubes radishes to help with the heat. They also have a lot of side items such as sliders,takoyaki,pork buns, etc. Other than the chicken here they have the normal korean food such as tteokboki ,japchae, etc. It is a really nice place to bring your friends and have a good time. It can be pretty pricey with 20 piece wings are about $30 but worth the price for how good they are. The environment within bonchon is also very nice. When you walk in the first thing you'll notice is the GIANT projector they have up on one of the walls. Sometimes itll play kpop mvs, lyric videos, or sports from what I've seen. They also have booths alone the sides of the building and tables in the middle. I do believe you can also call ahead to get a table ready if you have a large party. They also have a big bar in here with their own TVs at the bar. Bonchon also does to-go which can be very conevniant for me and my friends sometimes if we cant sit down. I would also like to add and say that they do take a while for the food to come out. Unless you get one of the sides/starters it sometimes feels like you are waiting forever for the chicken to come to your table,but once it does its the best feeling since you can smell the delicious flavor and just cant wait to just eat it. I usually go to the ellicott city one and they've been doing great. The service is great. They somehow always refill my drinks without me even realizing. All the people their are really nice,attentive and they usually always look like they are happy with what they are doing.

Since I love chicken wings and literally have had wings in over 100 establishments and homes combined ... this is top 10. It’s nice setting with a big screen projector of a major game and a few other TVs. It’s a smaller restaurant but open with high ceilings and a bar. You can get your typical drinks but if you are Korean place you gotta get some Soju of which they have a nice selection of flavors. It’s made to order so not fast food but worth the wait. I think they have the best tasting chicken but could use a few more flavor wings. There’s only 2 and no plain. That’s my only gripe as to why I feel as tho it’s not a 5 star place. The garlic soy chicken is bananas good. I have to forcibly stop myself from eating a whole order. Service was good. Music videos on the wall I'm ok with but not the same pop song on repeat for twenty minutes. If you're gonna play K-pop, why not go all in and play the Korean versions. It's not like the English words of a pop song are going to wow anyone anyway and the Korean groups sound just as good/the same.

Best place for spicy chicken. I get cravings for it . It must have crack as a main ingredient. Only thing is the wait time between ordering and getting food is too long. But maybe that is just my sense of time being warped because I am so close to eating it. I generally don't dine here for dinner also because the place is a little small and I end up waiting for a table unless we get there super early.

I came in thinking this was a grab and go place (Its not.) You have to wait to be seated. Not overly formal, its like a cross between Applebees and a sports bar with korean style fair. I came for the wings I had heard some much about but couldnt wait so I got the chicken sliders. They were very kind. Although the order only took about 15 mins, I was given hot tea on the house while I waited. Very courteous and accommodating.. Food was good too. The sliders come two way, spicy and soy/garlic. The spicy is spicy! The soy/garlic has a kick. I also got the ribeye soft tacos. Hubby said they were good. I plan on coming back. Also, I found out from staff, you can call in an order but they dont have internet ordering yet.

The place can get very busy since it's in a small place. The wings are five stars. Just make sure you know it'll take at least 30 minutes to get your food. Also if you're calling it can be really loud so make sure you are very clear with your order.

Food is amazing. The wings are a must try item. The spicy wings are flavorful and delicious. They definitely have a kick to them but not overbearingly spicy. The soy garlic wings are also excellent. They are flavorful but not too overbearing with the garlic. The pickled radishes are a great side companion. The seafood house fried rice is also great. It is delicious and has a good amount of seafood in it. The drink selection is pretty good as well; handful of options to choose from. The soju is delicious as well. We got the lychee and mango flavored soju and both were good, but I liked the lychee better. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and welcoming and very attentive. The bathrooms are clean. The restaurant is clean and modern in decor. Street parking is ample. I would highly recommend this spot for grabbing dinner or late night eats.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered chicken strips with soy garlic sauce. The sauce was very good and not at all spicy, and the chicken had a different kind of crunch than expected but it was good. The chicken itself was dry even after getting extra sauce. We came expecting the atmosphere of a quiet takeout place like the Frederick location, but instead it was like a sports bar, tvs and all, which was disorienting. I would highly recommend you go to a different location if you don't like sports bars.

I like their wings, but ,most of time, i can smell cloride kind of sanitizers at the restaurant. It is so strong sometimes I wonder whether I am sitting in the toilet or chair in the restaurant. Other than that, great place to enjoy chicken, some korean foods with a bottle of beer.

Decent Korean fried chicken. Just wish they had an option for a sauce in between the sweet one and the very spicy one. Serving size was not very large and they were out of the boneless wings.

Fantastic place to eat whether you're going for some good fried chicken or some Korean food! I'm a big fan of the chicken Katsu! It has this sweet and sour sauce lightly drizzled on it asking with spicy mayo which makes for a nice flavor with a slight kick!

Great chicken. Skin crispy, meat tender and sauce on chicken flavorful. Ordered a medium order if chicken drumsticks today and took home to share. Did half sweet and half garlic soy. Could have done all 10 by myself. Saved some for tomorrow. Definitely will be back.

LOVE the soy garlic wings and horseradish, paired with some white rice. Can’t get enough–I would eat there every week if I lived closer. The Bucktown location is big. There’s lots of seating and a patio. They play dance music instead of the pop throwbacks at Chinatown. The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. I always forget if I like the honey flavor and the server was nice enough to let me sample the sauces. I’m not a big fan but if sweet and honey are your thing, it’s worth a try.

Ordered the plate of chicken strips, (careful when they say hot they really mean HOT!) delicious, not your regular thick flour coated strips. The fried zucchini was a nice change from fries. Great eats!!

Really enjoyed the food here. Tons of flavor and spice. Solid drink list and trendy atmosphere. If you don't try the wings you're definitely missing out; there's something about that crispy, spicy, sweet kick that will have you reaching for more.

that's not great that's not bad I stopped there for lunch I ordered the chicken combo that's worth spicy game that's why I hit was sweet actually which I am not crazy about and the temperature was lukewarm not as hot as it should be for fried chicken sandwich was good this is clean but the food the strip was so so I'll be back to check it out but I won't go out of my way to go in

Poor operations. Every time I go here the waiters seem to lack training/attentiveness as you will constantly have to flag them down for service. They have also run out of basic staples like fries before. And Super Bowl Sunday, ordering apps said it would take 20-30min for an order but after not getting it, the restaurant they said it was a 2 hr wait for an order. They also disabled their phones so you couldn’t call to ask about an order. Hoping Bon Chon Corporate can assist in improving this establishment as Bon Chon is such a great restaurant chain more generally.

The spicy chicken from this place never gets old. Good food. If you're on a tight lunch schedule I'd advise ordering ahead, or to go. The plaza it's located in is usually pretty busy. Be aware. This location is way better than the Canton location. The Canton location is nothing like the NY locations.

While the process to get a table was a bit disorganized, the food was absolutely delicious!! We ordered a combo plate of chicken wings. Perfectly cooked with crispy skin, loads of eye-opening flavor, and tender meat. Certainly the best Korean Fried Chicken we've ever had. Medium size is more than enough to feed 2 people. It has a pretty casual vibe inside with TVs in the bar area and a variety of seating options. Seems like a great spot for date night or small groups. Definitely excited this place finally opened up after a long wait!

I opted to pickup my order instead of sitting in. Initially, it took them a while to answer the phone. I finally got someone on my third call, who was a bit unpleasant. Her tone was off putting, but I disregarded it and proceeded to place my order. Once I got there I was greeted by the same girl who I was on the phone with. She said very little and matched the energy she gave over the phone. Still, I ignored it and paid for my order. I ordered the combo chicken lunch special w/ fries and the house fried rice lunch special. The price wasn’t bad for the amount of food I received, but the chicken could’ve used a lot more sauce then what was presented to me. Also, be sure to ask for condiments and silverware if needed. I had only two packets of ketchup in my bag and nothing else. Prior to visiting this place I was on a Google search for Korean sticky chicken and this was one of the locations it suggested. Maybe I will try Crisp or Dak next time to see if I can actually get what I really want. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, the price is doable, but the customer service could be better.

This place is soooo GOOD! We had the wings both spicy and sweet, Kim chi and bacon fried rice, salmon avocado ball, and the seasoned fries! Everything was amazing!! The wings were crispy and the spicy ones were really spicy! The rice was to die for!!! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the fries was crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside! Highly recommend!

Although this seems to be a small chain, it doesn't feel like one. The bbq style seating and projector large screen TV are of little to no consequence. This place is all about the food and shared experience with your friends. There's always a warm buzz inside. Lot's of great Korean dishes, all cooked very well. But let's not dilly dally here.... this place is all about the WINGS! If you don't leave in a double fried, heavy battered comatose state... you're doing it wrong.
