Not a deli but merely a shop in a food court. Their food is fine, but nothing to write home about.

Bebe's is always a great option when downtown. Quick lines, affordable kosher food, and generally convivial staff. It's almost impossible to go wrong, unless you come too late on a Friday or right before a chag. Otherwise, you're in good hands with these folks!

This is one of my favourite places in the French market, I'm so happy we have a proper deli here in Chicago! I enjoy ether the reuben or chicken salad sandwiches. The portions are also quite generous.

Located in the French Market, a good place to grab a great sandwich. the hot pastrami special and the reuben are some of the best I have had. Food is fresh and made to order, service is very fast. Prices are a little high, but the portions are big. Delicious sandwiches you can eat there or take to go. #CitiExperts @Localguides

Visiting from Santa Cruz Ca., Hail Mary the food at Bebe;s is to thank the "Almighty" for! Praise be God, the service was fast, friendly and cute. The reuben was made to perfection. The meat melted in this Christian's mouth! The bread fresh, soft, warm, near climatic! There is nothing to compare to this Jewish Kosher Deli in the land of granola bars, Santa Cruz, where I have resided for 4.5 decades! Chicago French Market is indeed a rich treat. Before I leave the Windy City I plan to order their Turkey Pastrami sandwich; I heard a couple sharing one, romance pure tasty love. Thanks Bebe's HATS OFF! Service was very fast and friendly, despite the long line. Got the turkey club with turkey pastrami and very happy with it. The avocado was creamy and the garlic mayo is a good touch. The bread was soft.

Delicious everything crusty bagels and chive cream cheese to die for. Stopped here on my way from the train to office. I was craving a REAL bagel and Bebe's was the best I've had in a while. Thank you!

Staff is rude. I was standing and waited for service but no one cared. 4 minutes later they asked me what I need. I said salad and they said it will be couple of hours until salad will be ready. That was 10AM. If you are not ready to serve cudtomers, DO NOT open your booth.

Good but Overpriced. My corned beef sandwich was tasty, but way too small for $13. I'd return if their prices go down.

Today I had soup for lunch so i had calories left over for something REALLY good so I decided to go to the French Market downtown, on Clinton street. (@ the Metra Station) I walked around twice before deciding on Bebe's. Liver haters go away, because I'm sure you won't want to know this BUT Bebe's has the best Chopped Liver. The best things about it is the mild liver flavor and the chopped part, its not mashed, or pureed its chopped. You can see the small pieces of onions in it and chopped boiled egg I believe. This chopped liver dances on my tongue, I absolutely loved it. I also wanted a knish, but I have always eaten a potato knish so i got a Spinach one and it too was good no JOOD!!! (that's better than good) The Knish was packed with spinach and layered at the bottom with potato. Outstanding oh wait they seal your dish with a strip that says : Under CRC Supervision, now that just made this Kosher eater very excited, wait until I tell my friends this gem I found...

Awesome and yummy food, I like the mood this spot has, and the employees were very welcoming. I will definitely visit here next time.

Not sure how anybody gave this place a bad review...I was a little uncertain how it would turn out, but I walked 5 minutes from Union Station for a Chicago Hot Dog that was 100% Kosher. The gentleman took my order immediately, made my food immediately, and it was very delicious. Debating whether I really need a second one but I am probably going to. How often can someone from out of town get a Kosher Chicago Dog, in Chicago? And hey, $6 was a little expensive I thought, but the sport peppers and relish were top notch, and plentiful. The bun was not a cheap bun, it was a fancy deli bun. And let's not forget the meat is CRC certified Glatt Kosher. That is all top quality ingredients, so it does cost more to produce, and for the price, I can now say I am satisfied with it as well, but befpre ordering I did not know what to expect. Check them out.

Tasty and interesting American Jewish food

Never got to try the food because the counter help started arguing with me right off the bat. I ordered a pastrami on rye with spicy mustard. Then, because I have a health condition, I asked for it to be made more on the lean side than the fatty. Having eaten at New York and Maryland delis all my life, I know what a pastrami sandwich is and that the meat can be cut leaner (and trimmed some) than fattier—eating regularly at Katz’s taught me that. Unfortunately, Bebe’s counter guy argued with me about it. Told me very condescendingly—as if I’d only ever eaten “pastrami” from a grocery store—that there was no such thing as a leaner pastrami sandwich. Guess the dude doesn’t get out much. Considering all the other options closely available for lunch, I told him to just never mind. Next day, I went to Fumare and asked for the same thing on the Montreal pastrami. Response: “Sure, we’ll have that right up for you!” Take a lesson Bebe management.

Great food. I recommend their chicken soup with matza balls, it's made with real chicken. I also had their turkey club sandwich and tuna wrap. Excellent. It's convenient-1 block off the green and pink CTA lines, in metra station . Easy access to downtown and attractions. I preorder and pick up my food on way home from work.

I work next to Bebes and have been here maybe 5-6 times. I always get the Reuben sandwich. For $12.50 you get the sandwich, 1/4 of a pickle, and coleslaw served in a 3.25oz or maybe a 4 oz solo souffle cup. I don't mind the tiny pickle or the tiny coleslaw but the amount of meat on this sandwich is criminal by New York OR Chicago standards. I'd be surprised if it was more than 1/4 of a pound. If you ask for extra meat they double the meat bringing the sandwich to an acceptable size but that's gonna cost you an extra $6.00. With tax, you're looking at a $20 Reuben sandwich. Over at Jason's Deli the Reuben comes with a pile of french fries, two pickle slices and the sandwich has 1/2 a pound of corned beef for $9.99. The service from the gentlemen (I assume gentleman since I've never seen a woman behind the counter) isn't anything to write home about . They are glum and sullen. No smiles.. no warmth. On the good side? The sandwich actually tastes good. The Russian dressing is good. They don't over-toast the rye bread. The service is fast. Always under 8 minutes for me from the moment I order to the moment I receive the sandwich. They have potential here but you can't go weak on the meat at $12.50+ tax. This is a staple of any great Jewish deli and it's #2 on their menu. I'll have to swing by the shop again in the next few weeks. See if things improve so I can come right back here and bump these guys up to a 4 or 5 star rating.
