I went to Beatnik for brunch as I celebrated my birthday. The food was good and and the atmosphere was very eclectic, with an urban bohemian vibe. Service was cool and the drinks are great.
Beautiful decor, perfect ambience, absolutely lovely... Food was good, but the Large Plates were very pricey so we asked about several of them. Our server was unfortunately curt, impatient, very condescending and unattentive... Really too bad as we are always gracious, friendly, and courteous to people everywhere, so we rarely find service to be an issue. This just made us feel bad and confused. This was on Mother's Day and my daughter had picked the place as she'd be there several times and loved it.
Modern place, has a good vibe. Drinks aren’t bad. Why 2 stars ? Because of service. You can have the fanciest restaurant, but if you don’t have a good service you won’t go far my friend. P.S. Could drinks be smaller for $13 ?
Super cute with awesome food. Love that the menu lists known allergens. The interior is awesome and the service is great. Food was so delicious!
Great brunch spot! The vibe makes you feel like you are on vacation! Staff is friendly and attentive. Food was good and drinks were superb! Can't wait to go back.
Our group waited 25-30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. A little annoying, but even more so because there was nowhere to stand or hang out at all. The food wasn't bad, but the setup of the place and the "atmosphere" are really terrible. Music was so loud that you couldn't even understand someone sitting across the table from you. Meat tasted good but was way overcooked; could've been a solid meal otherwise. Only reason it gets a star is that the staff was nice. I'd skip this place, there are just too many good brunch spots in the city to spend your time here.
We sat in the bar area, our waiter/ bartender was great- made awesome drinks. The atmosphere is great, we loved the decor. Definitely worth the money.
Super cool place. A bit pricey. Bring a sweater! It gets really cold quick. I had the ceviche. It came fast. We also had the olives and the toasted almonds. Both were amazing. They do not do refills on Just regular soda. Apparently they serve it out of a bottle. They also do paper straw. It's cute. But they don't last long. Overall great place!
First time visiting will definitely visit again I really nice atmosphere grown mature crowd very diverse
Really great ambience, excellent food and drink, moderately priced l... not many better places in the city...
Unique and a most see.
The desserts at Beatnik were phenominal. Definitely try the incredibly tender beef cheek arepa and the perfectly tangy baba ganoush. Also if you're into cocktails get the El Guapo you won't be disappointed
Excellent drinks, food was great. I love that most plates are shareable.
Love this place!! Food is delicious and the wait staff was so accommodating to dietary restrictions. I was disappointed that it took over 40 minutes to get a table (after having a reservation and showing up on time). Also, the host treated me with disrespect when I inquired about the long wait time. Great vibes other than that!
One of the best date places in the city. Awesome decor and ambiance. The service is out of this world. Inventive cocktails and small plates.
The food and drinks are absolutely incredible. We tried a few things the Veal sweat bread kabob, curry meatballs and duck two ways and everything was delicious
I love this place. Atmosphere is the best in Chicago. If you want to impress someone, bring them here. It will show you know how to find the cool spots in Chicago.
Very nice place inside and trendy bar for the area. We were a group of three and it came to about $185 with tip. That was 2 mezzes, 4 drinks and the lamb. For someone with gluten allergy, they do have some options but not as many as we had previously thought. However with that in mind, they did make adjustments. For food I’d say a 3.5 because the main meal which was the lamb shared among three people while it was good, the pita and roti that came with it was not really warm and it was hard; which ruins the pairing. They could have a better selection of cocktails. Overall nice experience.
Chicken and waffles are awesome.
Love the ambience. Had several excellent cocktails and a very interesting take on chicken and waffles. Never thought blue green algae could go in a drink, much less taste so nice!
Such unique and beautiful interior. Not a huge fan of meat but it was incredible. Very attentive staff.
Funky spot with a decent Mediterranean themed brunch menu. Great service
Had our book club here. The food is fantastic and great customer service. Booked reservations in advance.
This place is vibes. Amazing atmosphere and incredible food. The wild mushrooms, beet hummus and octopus and hummus were the tables favourites. Highly recommend.
Cutest bar, cutest cocktails, cute bartender! The only issue we had is that we ordered an app shortly before the kitchen closed. It was a dip that did not come with nearly enough pita bread...when we asked for more...kitchen was closed. I wish they had been mindful to give us more. We left over half on the bar uneaten. The server seemed uninterested. I will still go back, but they lost major cool points for that!
Fresh food served beautifully. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is great.
Food and atmosphere were delightful also there was no wait which was lovely. Felt like I was eating outside somewhere warm which was perfect
You cannot stop looking at the decor! So beautiful! So hip!! I wanted to just lay back and stay all day!!! The menu is limited and definitely for the adventurous type. It’s pretty noisy there. If you go try to not rush it. Food comes out when ready and so sit back and enjoy the beautiful decor.
Really great menu and prefect romantic date brunch
Very beautiful, smooth ambiance... and tasty food! I'm not a fan of their cocktails... but they were able to make what I asked for, so that is all that matters. With that being said, no one else had any objections to the cocktails they ordered. The food was apparently amazing per the crowd I was with- I'm pescatarian so "share" options weren't ordered with me in mind- but that's cool... lol I loved the hummus! Overall per experience and friends comments, I would definitely recommend this restaurant
One of the most stunning bars I've been to. I'm a native Chicagoan and this place made me fall in love with Chicago all over again. Perfect date night or place to grab a drink with friends. Can't recommend enough, the river view is stunning.
Wonderful dinner in fun setting. The duck two ways was fabulous and you can not go wrong with any of the vegetable dishes.
Great cozy ambience, good cocktails, simple and appetizing menu and good value for
Amazing meal, great ambiance!
Great atmosphere and beautiful decor. Drinks are also very good strong and not too sweet. Ordered a couple of appetizers and they were also delicious and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back!
Funky, eclectic decor. Reasonably priced food, unique drinks that are a little high end but won't break the bank. Although the place was definitely bustling, my friend and I got a bar table without a wait on a Friday night - we felt cozy and chic!
Fantastic venue. Music volume was perfect. Food and service was phenomenal.
Beatnik has a really cool Boho meets Victorian vibe. The front of the restaurant has a lot of natural light but the back is immensely dark. The service was good. I ordered the Spanish Tortilla with Chorizo and a mimosa for brunch and they were fantastic!
Great experience. Okay food
Amazing decor and design, this place will have you snapping tons of photos. Cocktails are unique and delicious. Haven't tried to food but everything looks delicious. Have been here many times and plan to return in the future.
The ambiance and vibe are great. Food is pretty good but not awe inspiring.
Beautiful interior and great ambience.
The food was ok but I wouldn't return. Hit or miss with this one. Portions were quite small for a group.
Great dessert menu, interesting ambience
Delicious small plates to share ,very vibrant atmosphere!
Super cool location. Try the lamb feast, it was great!
Fantastic ambiance and amazing tapas style food. I will definitely come back. Also our server Collin was extremely professional and fantastic
Very well priced. Good cheap eats ~$70/head. Don’t order the duck unless you have 40 minutes to wait. Takes a while to cook but worth every minute!
Bartender was amazing. Recommended drinks and other great local places. 10 out of 10 would go again!
Ambience is just about everything! Not to mention that the food was fabulous. Thumbs up all around.
Super cute place! Perfect to feel like you have gotten away to a land far away! Great cocktail spot and delicious food! Loved the decor and ambiance.
This is a beautiful and eclectic place. Even more impressive than the decor and use of space are the food and drinks. We sat at the bar and ordered a few things. The bartenders are very skilled in their craft, and we had to notch service, despite his bring very busy. The cheese cake is a must-do item on the menu, as well. Can't recommend this place enough!
absolutely stellar with a fun, busy atmosphere.
Funky, fun Bohemian cafe with an upscale Victorian twist. Almost like being transported to Bali, the atmosphere of Beatnik is a BIG draw. Here for brunch with a large group, we made sure to have reservations well in advance. Their brunch menu is a creative blend of classic breakfast food mixed with bougie elements. We ordered tapas style for sweet and savory plates. Definitely recommend!
For the amount of money invested in the interior and given the reputation of this establishment, you would expect for them to have WiFi at the very least. Two stars because the drinks were great.
Really nice place but not as many gluten free options as I was hoping for
Their FOOD POISONING MENU is out of this world! Chicago has very few restaurants that will give you food poisoning, but this one is easily the most expensive.
Service was pretty slow, but food was absolutely amazing! Very delicious, and great variety of cocktails!
The Pluma Iberica pork is to die for. Didn't know pork could be that tender and taste that good.
Unique addition to the West Town area which is normally filled with smaller, more casual places. Expect loud music and a busy, crowded space. Food is good and drinks are well made.
I loved the decor! The music was way too loud. The food was tasty but don't expect large portions. Our waiter was friendly but the staff seemed too busy. I totally love the decor but would sit in the front lit section if returning. The back is dark and I prefer light.
Ambiance is amazing and level of detail is great. The food is sub par and wouldn’t go again. Drink ehhh.
The ambiance was excellent! The decor is on point. The brunch food and drink was good. This place is great for large groups since they take reservations.
Came for desserts. Left confused. Too much creativity for your own good. Service spotty. 20 min for dessert, I understand they are composed, but most of it was weird and poorly executed.
A must if you have a girls weekend, mom visiting, or a client dinner. The atmosphere is worth the price of dinner itself. There is nothing like it in Chicago. On top of that, all the dishes we had were delicious. Come hungry.
Everything was absolutely amazing.. from the ambience in a whole, including the music, to the food, to the drinks. Absolutely phenomenal!
Ambience is amazing. Really well constructed. Would like to have more options on the food menu.
This place is amazing. From the invigorating decor to the delectable food, nothing is to disappoint from this restaurant. The menu offers plenty of tasty options and the food comes in shared portions so you can order a few different items from the menu. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Super fun decor!! Service was great! We ordered 5 brunch dishes for our group of 4, and everyone went away very satisfied. Our favorites were the pork cheek fried rice and the shashuka with sausage. Highly suggest if you are looking for a fun eclectic meal!
Ambiance cannot be beat. The decor is incredible. The food is pretty good too. We had reservations at 8:30 pm and they didn't sit us until 8:45. They didn't really apologize which I thought was a bit less than ideal. Still would recommend based on the set up alone, but I thought their service in general could have been better.
I never write reviews but this was one of the worst meals I have had at a restaurant in a long time. For the cost the food was incredibly disappointing. Every dish was overdressed, over spiced, and too sweet. The mussels were overcooked, shriveled, and tough. They also were very gritty. The “curry” meatballs were inedible, the texture was mealy. We practically had to beg for water, the waitress spilled the beer while pouring and just left so we had to use our napkins to clean it up. One of our drinks had a bug in it and there were hairs on our napkins. The overall aesthetic was cool in the main spaces but if you decide to go stick with a cocktail. I will never go back.
Surprised it has such great reviews. I’ll admit the ambience is stellar and I enjoyed my Miami house cocktail. But the food is subpar at best. Overpriced for the quality of the food - super oily and heavy. Nothing we had was enjoyable. The butternut squash was drenched in a sour sauce. Mushrooms were greasy. Cauliflower wasn’t crispy. Unfortunately the bar area is small too, so won’t be coming back to enjoy drinks either.
Highly recommended. The patio and the food were superb. The cocktails outstanding and perfect for summer. Another pleasant atmosphere in the loop
Beautiful decor and space. Brunch menu was perfect for sharing a few plates and excellent large format cocktails. Great place to come for a long, luxurious meal!
I had really high expectations for this place just because it looks so beautiful online. I have to admit that I really enjoyed it! The decor is simply like no other. The elaborate designs don’t feel cluttered or over done. Food was also very tasty. Coffee was perfect.
WOW! EXCEPTIONAL FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE.
This was on my list of places to visit when I traveled to Chicago recently and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was even better than I imagined. Cocktails and food are pricey but it is such a nice establishment. Clean, elegant, eccentric but cozy. There is a DJ spinning low-key mashups and interesting, creative decor. I had the avocado toast and a cocktail (forget the name) and left satisfied! Can't wait to go back when I'm in town again!
Go for brunch and order the rum punch! Everything was delish!
Food is ok.. but feel is awesome :)
We had a reservation, yet waited well over an hour to be seated. The food was just okay. Our server indicated everything on the menu was intended to be shared, but did not tell us how many people each dish would feed. We ordered a couple dishes where the 4 of us were only able to have 1 bite of it. One dish that we ordered never made it to the table. The atmosphere was cool and the drinks were good, but overall I wouldn't go back.
The food and drinks here were amazing and worth the price. We were a group of four women and ordered less dishes than they recommended and were completely satisfied. The decor and atmosphere are fun and didn't and reminds me of somewhere like Morocco. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is they rushed the meal and us - when it's a nice dinner at a fancy place, I want to enjoy my time and not feel like I'm being hurried out so the next person can take my seat.
Nice interior but kind of loud; was difficult to carry on a conversation with someone across the table. I wish there was slightly more lighting so that the food would look more appetizing. Hipster vibes all around. Service seemed kind enough. I only had a cocktail and I felt that it was very basic. Not worth $13+tip+tax at all. I might consider coming back on Wednesdays for their half off cocktails if I just needed a nice place to sit with someone.
Fun family style dinner spot with generous shared plates. Everything was cooked perfectly. They can be very busy but the wait is worth it.
The ambiance is great the food and service were good. It is a good place to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. It is not expensive and the menu is a mix of Mediterranean and east Europe.
Unbeatable Bohemian Atmosphere. Top-notch day drinking spot!
Fantastic service by Matt and staff, food, drinks and service were all on point!
The chicken and waffles was insanely delicious, not greasy, and flavorful. The lox was maybe the best I’ve ever had. The smoked burrata was creamy and perfect.
Delicious food! Great service! Beautiful unique place!
Meh. Overpriced. Only go for cocktails; not food. Cocktails and bar service are WONDERFUL! Once we sat at the table it went down hill from there. Waitress acted like she was doing us a favor by taking our order and did not have any menu recommendations. The bartender had recommended the funnel cake and that ended up being the only worthwhile dish. Portions were very small! And, my Spanish Breakfast of champions came with very burnt bread. Not worth $29. Avocado toast was almost sad. We wanted to like this place so much but were very disappointed!
I think the vibe and ambiance is what you go for. The cocktails were pretty good and the food was ok-good.
Good drinks. Haven't had the food. Looks expensive.the decor is amazing
I wish I could give 10 stars. This place is a must go. I went for a celebration, we had brunch on a Saturday afternoon, everything was delicious and everyone was extremely nice. Food came fast and perfect presentation. Babaganoush is a must, the salad as well. Chicken and waffle was spicy to perfection and the cinnamon rolls are my favorite. we tried 3-4 different drinks and they were all delicious. It's pricey (about $50 per person with drinks and tip) but totally Worth it. I will come back for sure.
Great cocktails! Good appetizers and the main courses are delicious. More on the expensive side so save up!
Beautiful decor. Good food.
A consistently good dinner. Great for a crowd
I was taken away to a middle eastern oasis with the atmosphere of Beatnik. The front of the house is filled with beautiful plants and gorgeous windows and the back is like being in a sheikh's tent - with pillows and carpets and opulent chandeliers. I was there for Saturday brunch and the waitress explained how the dishes come out and they are shareable. We ordered a few different dishes -- one platter had delicious hummus, avocado, tahini, olives, a mint parsley salad and traditional flatbread. The chicken and waffle dish seemed to go over big (I don't eat chicken, but the waffle was delightfully spiced!)
Good music!! Good food, nice place
Very busy, drinks were decent. CURRY MEATBALLS are delicious!
Great hidden gem. Decor is fab and chill, drinks are good. New regular spot
Awesome! It's wonderful!!The food, the atmosphere, the service all was an experience that I could repeat again and again ... I recommend them 1000%
Beautiful atmosphere, nice reasonable wine list and good food
Stunning menu! I love meat, but it was the veggie dishes that blew my mind including the wild mushrooms, roasted cauliflower and smoked burrata. Oh my gosh!
Amazing service and delicious food and cocktails. It was my first time and will definitely be going back.
I wanted to like this place so much. I gave 3 stars because the decor and the vibe there were awesome. The drinks were also pretty tasty. But I can’t, in good conscience, tell you that the food was good. It was very, very bad (with the baba Ghanoush being the only exception). There’s so much potential here, but they really need a new chef. The people next to us were complaining about the food as well - it really is that bad.
Great good, cocktails and ambience
The main reason to go here is the unique and intricate decor. It really is very nice inside. The menu is creative and some of the dishes I've tried are very tasty, while others are good but not great for the relatively high price. Of course, this is based on my experience and there may be other items on the menu that are great.
Great food and atmosphere. Went here for brunch. I had asked for the breakfast sandwich as a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. Our waitress said they don’t have lettuce but can do a bed of kale - fine. When we got our bill, I was charged extra for “a side of kale” when this was just a substitute for a bun and I was not informed it would be an up charge. I would return, but wait staff and management needs to be trained on clearer communication.
I love it here! Amazing atmosphere, food was delicious, and service was perfect. Loved the experience, and was happy to ring in the New Year here.
Loved this place, location was easy find. The food was excellent and the ambiance really nice!
Awesome drinks! Had a new server that messed up the order, and the houlomi dish wasn't great, but ambience and cocktails more than make up for that :)
Gorgeous decor. Food is unique. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Come here for the food, stay for the pictures you'll be taking.
I traveled to Chicago this weekend and this was one of my MUST-GO places! Went to brunch here with a friend over the weekend for 50% off pitchers! The drinks were really good and of course the decoration amazing, but the food fell wayyy short. It was disappointing. Everything looked good but tasted mainly bland and was not very special. Still, it was an experience and it was so neat being there! I would go back, this time to try their dinner items...they sounded a lot more appetizing than the brunch! What MAKES this restaurant is the interior...I have never seen something so amazing. It's a mix of Marrakech and Tulum. It is fun just to go and have drinks (and their drinks are amazing). What keeps people coming back after the gram is food, though. Just a thought.
The servers were very polite, knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating of our large group. I was a bit skeptical about the menu at first glance but the food was great! The beet hummus was definitely a winner. My only complaint is that the music was so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation that went past the person next to you. Overall a very good experience. Would return again.
Neat venue, tasty food. Cinnamon roll was a divine sweet.
Nice atmosphere and nice drinks
Tremendous venue - great for groups or parties. Nice appetizers at attractive price points. However entrees look expensive. Groovy ambiance!
We had a reservation for brunch on a Sunday at 2:45. When we got there, our table wasn't ready yet, which wasn't a big deal. We ended up getting seated at 3:00. We spent some time figuring out the drink menu but then our waitress came by at 3:10 and told us that the kitchen closed at 3:30 and all orders had to be in by 3:20. We thought this was very rude and they shouldn't take reservations that late unless they know that you can be sat on time. We ended up having to order all of the dishes at once, which was less preferable since we would rather order as we needed it since we didn't know how many dishes were needed. The food was good but portions were small and definitely not worth the price.
Awesome atmosphere and delicious food with great chic drinks. Reggae brunch on Sunday's.
Great cocktails. Space is awkward and too cool for it's own good.
Absolutely amazing drinks and decor. I went with my brother and cousin and had a blast. I'd love to go again sometime, I really do think it was one of my top 10 bar experiences in Chicago
One of the most interesting and cutest spots I've seen in a while! Cute date night spot, celebration dinners. The interiors are so pretty you feel like you are in a different place altogether. The staff was great as well! My review is incomplete without mentioning dinner. It is Mediterranean small eats and everything on the mezze list was so good. My recommendations, brocollini and the mushroom. The drinks were great too! It was layered well to play with your taste buds! Must go!
Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food and very creative cocktail selection
Nice place, great atmosphere, perfect for groups. My reason for the 3 star is the menu. Wouldn't recommend it if you are a picky eater. If your a foodie this is a good choice.
Finally got the chance to visit this gorgeous location and it did not disappoint. The brunch was delicious, definitely recommend ordering several plates for the table so you can try a bit of everything. It’s easy to forget you’re still in Chicago with the outstanding decorations. Recommend it to all.
Amazing atmosphere and the food was outstanding.
This is the second time I have being to this restaurant and it’s a great place. This is a must do for all locals and visitors. Very trend bar. I recommend booking. The food was on point and the service was great. Definitely check out this venue.
It's a really cool environment. Big space with tons of waxy candles and an insane amount of real plant life. The cocktail list is small but very unique and complex. The food is great but it is expensive and not a ton of food for the dishes. Service is great and fairly attentive for how crowded it can get. My only real snobby complaint is the host at the podium kept using his phone flashlight and accidentally shining it right at us throughout our whole meal.
This place is a trip. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic although not what I would call beatnik. The food was all over the map/globe (the arabe taco was amazing) I came during brunch but will definitely come back for dinner. The service was friendly and efficient, all in all it was a perfect experience for me.
The service is outstanding, the menu is limited though. This place is atmosphere is neat and the vintage decor gives it a special touch. I would say it is a hit or miss with the menu items including the drinks, the presentation is up to part but the taste could use some touch of authenticity.
Such a unique place! We loved the decor - which was a cross between Balinese and western and maybe a bit of everything in between? The glass and steel and bricks was such a cool blend, structurally. As to the food, the offerings were just as diverse. We loved everything we had. The amount of smoked salmon on the toast was ridiculous (in a great way). Drinks were delicious, as well.
Gorgeous place! High quality food, awesome interior, good service
So beautiful, the staff was so nice and helpful and food was so good, unique, and fresh. My favorite bite was probably the whipped feta with pistachios but everything was great!
Delicious food, great vibe, nice service
Amazing food and venue
Love this place! Perfect place to go during winter and feel warm. Food was good, the octopus was excellent. Drinks delicious!
Loved it. Loved the decor, the cocktails and the bartender! Would go again!
Horrible service, and even worse food. I was very disappointed.
Fun, funky, noisy but somehow cozy. On a COLD winter day, Beatnik was a little slice of escape. The staff was really friendly and helpful with the menu and suggestions. We went during brunch but the menu choices were varied enough that we got more lunch than brunch -- which is great when most brunch places really are more like breakfast places (don't change!). We had a couple drinks each -- bubbly and cocktails -- which were solid. The food was worth returning for as well: comfort food taste, manageable portions and inventive pairings. That said, I still had to take something to go! I overheard some complaints about pricing, but honestly, it's on par with similar restaurants and for the neighborhood. I will be back!
AMBIENCE: The restraint has a really classy ambience with an archaic feel to it along with an up beat vibe! SERVICE: For a place I was expecting the service to be too notch but was huge letdown. The waitress forgot to get 23 of our dishes and we had to cancel it in the as we were tired of waiting. The waitress or the chef put. Meat on a dish which was supposed to be a vegetarian dish ! FOOD: The food was not as good as expected, I personally feel that they could have more options for dinner in the feast menu The deserts were really good !
The food was really good it was small portions however it's more about the ambiance than it is about the amount of food so if you're looking to eat get full this is not the place however if you want to get experience and a good and pleasant scenery then you might want to try this place out The drinks are made in a very elegant manner with flavor and taste that will tantalize your taste buds and the service is decent
Checked out the Saturday morning brunch; great drinks, excellent food, exceptional service. Highly recommended!
Artful, moody space with creative dishes pulling inspiration from all over the globe. Don't be afraid to try something new/weird! It's a great date night place and the food is stellar. Service is attentive and friendly. Layout of the space is a but cramped but I couldn't care less considering the quality of food this team is producing.
The atmosphere is a-ma-zing and the staff is really great, they just need a little more training. Cocktails are excellent, but as other reviewers mentioned, you're getting a very petite drink for $13 - that's Chicago! Food is pretty good, although they could use less foams and glazes. The portion sizes are all over the place but you won't go hungry! One last note - I would never leave a bad review about service due to wait times when a place is slammed (come on reviewers!), but when you have to ask for silverware and it comes so late that everyone else is done eating... then you're going to get dinged.
The location and venue are nice. The patio area is nice. Just be prepared to have to yell in your conversation as the DJ will definitely become a part of the dining experience. As a vegetarian, I was quite disappointed in the brunch menu... as it offered only one real item to eat. Also, I was less than impressed with the taste and size of the dishes... especially compared to how much it costed. I would steer vegetarians away from this place.
Great atmosphere. Everything that we tried on the menu was delicious. Highly recommend the eggplant and the broccolini.
Nice vibe in the place and the food was very good.
Great place for brunch, the ambiance is amazing!!
Place seems busy for a Tuesday night. It looked cleaned. The ambiance was very nice. The waitress wasn’t really social, might as well given my order to a robot. I ordered a lemonade that was pretty bitter, almost thought it was a vodka lemonade at first. The food was pretty bland not really middle eastern taste what so over. Only tried the tapas though. It was pretty dark in there couldn’t really even see what you’re eating. The food came out promptly for a busy Tuesday. As we left there was a pan handler right outside. Just an “OK” place to eat would have expected something better after all the time and effort it took for them to make the place look really nice.
I enjoyed Beatnik. Food, service, decor we're lovely. The only negative was that it was very warm in the dining room area the first time I went. I went once for brunch and once for dinner. Both experiences were great.
Great brunch menu, great patio area, and the environment is great. I am giving it a 2 start because the service was really bad. Felt rushed to order everything... I had to ask for things more than once, and when we got the bill, I asked for more water/coffee, but the server only came back to pick up the tips. There are great brunch places in Chicago with far better customer service than this place. Will not return.
Great ambience. Food overpriced, very limited vegetarian options.
Excellent food. We made dinner reservations and the table was ready immediately. Very attentive staff.
Sunday brunch. Image of the funnel cake - not your average carnival cakes. Covered in fruit. Half off Pitcher drink deals for Sunday brunch also a bonus. Reservation is a must
Love this place. Great place to get dinner with a group of close friends. Has a DJ that plays really charming music that's perfect for the atmosphere. Heads up; this place isn't cheap, but the food is good and the staff is super attentive.
Well decorated and fun environment!
one of the coolest places to eat in the city. The ultimate urban camo on the outside; yet an almost botanical environment fused with a swanky Cafe look. Highly recommend! The food is phenomenal and so unique!
What a vibe! Amazing food that was very reasonably priced...also the drinks we had were delicious and with a "punch" to them. Highly recommend!
Love this place! Lush plants, oriental rugs, crystal chandeliers, sofas to lounge in. They had a dj that night who was really good. Perfect date night. Food is excellent middle eastern influenced. Had the branzino, the mussels, the mushrooms. All great. Service could have been better.
