I immediately felt like I was somewhere special from the moment I walked in the door. The food was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Caesar salad, angel hair pasta with big shrimp, a taste of meatball (OMGGG!!!), and a taste of chicken dumpling soup! Every bite was such a delight! But what really made this experience so special was the personable service we received. Jordan is so down-to-earth, and I loved talking with her. I truly felt like family, and I can see why they have been in business for over 20 years!!! I am so impressed that I'm leaving this review which I think may be my very first review ever! I have been eating at Bartolini's for many many many years. The food is exceptional and I believe this is the best kept secret in the south suburbs. The pasta is fresh, the pizza is delicious, the salads are amazing and one of my favorites is the grill steak sandwich. Chicken parmesan is a must-try. I could go on and on and on but I think you get the picture never had a bad meal at Bartolini's and the service is great.

Today I had the worst experience ever with my meaty lasagna and ceaser salad. I have been getting this same dish since 2006, today it was horrible. It was so much sauce on it you couldn't enjoy it. The salad was soggy and wasn't so good. Must be a new cook in the kitchen or today was a bad day to spend almost $18

Went last night and it was great! I grew up in the southern suburbs and now live in Northwest Indiana. My folks live in Homer Glen. When I heard about it I could not believe we had never been, so we decided it would be a great location in between us and my parents to meet. Our server Jill did an EXCELLENT job informing us as to the specialties and whatnot and provided fantastic service. We ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and pepperoni, extra sauce, well done, a gnocchi carbonara with fried chicken, and your meatballs. They were AWESOME! In being fron the area my whole laugh I even ran into a friend and his family I hadn't seen I'm forever. We pretty much agreed we'll use Bartolini's as our future meeting spot. Great place!

We first made a visit two weeks ago after seeing you on Tavel channel, we live 20 mins away..... WHAT a hidden GEM! On a Saturday afternoon we walked in it was very busy but everyone greeted us, our server was busy but we never waited even though she was making drinks at the bar and going to tables, she made us feel at home and let the owner Dominic know it was our first time, he made a visit to our table he was so funny and welcoming. We came back yesterday for our second visit, I’m not one to write reviews but I really think people should know that if your looking for somewhere that feels like home, and shows what a true family owed business looks like this is it. Yesterday was just as great as the first time, we had the same server Melissa, Jordan greeted us and checked on us when our server was busy, Dominic was there again making pizzas but waved to us. We watched all the staff work together, the food was amazing. Even if the food was not amazing, just average we would return because it just made us feel good to see people still care and work hard and care about customers that does not happen much when we go out anymore it made us enjoy our lunch a little more.

My favorite dish at Bartolini's is chicken tetrazzini. It has a slight sweet taste...normally. Last night it wasn't as good as it usually is. Did they get a new chef who is using his own recipes? I was very disappointed. I hope it was just an off night.

My 1st time visiting and I will be coming back! I had friends out to celebrate Christmas, they chose Bartolini's , after hearing about it on the radio. It is incredible! Everything we ordered was super! The portions & quality were perfect! From the appetizer, our three meat pizza, the bacon double cheeseburger with home made fries.. it was all so wonderful. We also ordered fresh baked cookies! Well worth the wait!! Our server , who said he was new , also was super attentive. Thank you Bartolini's!! We will be returning! Happy New Year!!

Omg the worst... i ordered the Italian Pasta salad... shredded lettuce for a sub with a few noodles. Not to mention the lettuce was brown. And the garlic bread was cold and was like eating old stale bread. Called to get a refund, and Domonic says,"common sense kills me sometimes" funny you say that. Common sense says you dont feed people 4 day old exposed lettuce and stale bread and charge them 10.00! So nope won't be doing that again! Jail has better salads!

I've lived in the area (Oak Lawn) forever and just tried you guys in the last few months. Where the #$&@ have i been! Just the pastas and various sauces alone are so delicious . . . But of course that's just for openers. Meatball pizza, please! Great fried chicken, soups, fresh salads, and to get such a great pork schnitzel with breaded dumplings (typically German) at an Italian restaurant is pretty remarkable. I went to this restaurant for the first time in 2018. I had a sausage calzone and it was the best one I've ever had. The sausage alone was probably the best I've had. I've had Nino's, Vito's and Nick's, Pizza Castle, Pequods and countless other sausage pizzas but the sausage from the calzone I had that day was hands down better. I had it again recently in 2019, after being in the mood for a calzone. I didn't remember the name of the restaurant, so I had to go out of my way to look at my Google Location history. Once I found it, we were gone. I ordered the sausage calzone and it was as good as I remembered. Next time I visit I will have to try their pizza and hope it's as good as the calzone

I was looking for something authentic and this place had great reviews. Mind you the bill was almost $70. I ordered a the chicken dumpling soup, big mistake, its not fresh or even homemade, you can tell its like Campbell's from a bag and heated up. Then I had the meatballs I can not believe these are fresh they tasted frozen as well. Last the biggest disappointment was the bruschetta chicken it was rubbery had a thick slime of some sort, I couldn't find one descent piece to eat.

The food here is always fantastic, no matter what you order. The service is friendly and we've never had a bad waiter/waitress. The prices are reasonable and you get good size portions. We always come home with leftovers. They have a beautiful banquet room in the back that I've used for parties before and they have always gone above and beyond. We as squid inked pasta with shrimp and it was so delicious. We also had the blackened chicken Caesar salad. It is one of my favorites. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and all of the food is delicious. They also had $6 pitchers of beer (3 different beer options. We didn't get it so I don't remember what types were offered.). The pizza is really good and they have one of the best meatball sandwiches i've ever had. Well worth going.

I have been living in Midlothian a few years and just recently decided to give the place a try. The food is awesome especially their pastas. Have been here a few times and have tried different foods and so far they haven't disappointed. I've been here with my family when the kitchen is closing and they have been very accommodating making sure the kitchen waits for our order. The waitresses we have had so far are really nice and do a good job. From the outside and the plaza it's in, it seems like you wouldn't want to go in there but looks can be deceiving. Once you walk in you will be surprised at how quite big it is and good atmosphere. Will definitely keep coming back.

My wife and I saw this restaurant on the Travel Channel and really wanted to eat there. Our last day in Chicago and we made to Chicago's Southside just for this restaurant. It was the best deep dish we ever had, well it was our first time having a Chicago deep dish. The owner came to our table and he was a great guy. The waitress was the best. We will definitely visit there again when we come back. It is a must eat place. The only flaw, there are White Soxs fans. Go Cubs.

Terrible service, food took way too long for us to receive. My aunt ordered dumpling soup, the soup had the consistency of clam chowder, was sweet- almost like they poured sugar in it too make it taste better, the carrots in it were soggy, and there was only one dumpling in it. She also ordered shrimp and fries, first time she received the shrimp and fries the shrimp was RAW, cold, not cooked at all. Like they put the shrimp on boil for 3 minutes and just slapped some seasoning on it, and they gave us scraps of fries as well. Little end pieces that were the size of maggots. I ordered chicken tendered and fries, they gave me scraps for fries as well, my chicken tenders tasted like they came from jewel osco frozen section. I asked for honey mustard, they gave me honey mustard with MAYONNAISE IN IT. what if i was allergic to mayonnaise? I don’t recommend this place at all, the atmosphere is loud, they play bingo so everyone else in the restaurant can hear. And all of their food is filled with preservatives or frozen

I rarely write reviews, however this has me bothered. Wanted to like this place but was really disappointed. The chicken tetrazzini should probably be taken off the menu. It is not penne pasta, chicken, alfredo sauce and melted mozzarella on top. Where were the peas, onions, mushrooms, breadcrumbs and linguine? Not what it is supposed to be. Our server was really nice and attentive though.

I ordered two take out pizza's. The Buffalo fried Chicken Pizza. This pizza was a little spicy not a lot of sauce, but was tastey for my guests. The White pizza was a vegetable pizza with ricotta, and two other cheeses it was a little dry. The Egg Plant Parmesan was good with the exception of too much cheese and the egg plant was a little tough.

Enjoyed tonight's dinner with the family. Food was delish and filling; from pizza, to pastas, to burgers! Over priced drinks. Weak drinks. Soups were premade not homemade. Scallop potatoes were burnt. My boss and I both ordered chicken bruschetta and there was white slimy pieces like chicken was boiled on top of that it was rubbery and there was still pink ok the inside. The waitress only took $3off our order. Only thing authentic and fresh was the meatballs.

Awesome food!!! Meatballs are delicious and world famous. The pasta is fantastic. I usually get the chicken parmesan with tomato basil sauce!!! Great for dinner with friends
