This Restaurant belongs to the category of American restaurant.
I love this quaint place by the train tracks. They have a variety of items on the menu. They offer large portions so it is easy to share meals. We ordered off the appetizer section and dessert and both were more than enough to satisfy the appetite.
Very good, go with a group so you can share many different plates
The food is always good here.
Delicious food. The wait staff was outstanding.
Food and Service were excellent! Good size portions and a variety of entrees for every palate!
Coffee cup inside was stained yellow and the coffee was very bitter. Ugly vinyl table cloths outside. Service was slow from start to finish. Homemade mushroom soup tasted like Campbell soup. We didn't finish it and no one took notice. Lamb chops were dry and tasted terrible. Presentation was not complimentary or the delivery. Way way over priced and lacked passion.
Food was great. Nice and quiet dining.
Good food and service
Absolutely wonderful from the engaging knowledgable staff to exquisitely prepared food. A neighborhood gem if there ever was one.
Private party, food was limited but service was excellent
Inspired food with a wonderful team. I hope to bring some friends on my next visit.
Our friends and family hosted our baby shower at Adelle's a few weeks ago, and I don't have anything but great things to say! Obviously, I cannot speak to what normal dinner service is like, but our experience was wonderful. Remarkably, there is no room fee to host an event. They do have a 25 guest minimum, but we had a few people cancel last minute (cold and flu season). Rather than not letting us use the space, they just charged us for the three fewer people, but we got to take their meals home so it wasn't like we were paying for nothing. I will also say that I was worried about possible train noise because the restaurant is right on the train tracks. I'm sure trains went by, but I didn't hear or notice anything at all! They also have their own parking lot on the side and there are metered spots in front, so there was more than ample parking for our guests' needs. My best friend said that working with the staff at Adelle's was top notch from beginning to end. They made everything very easy for the shower. My mom dropped off decorations the night before and the staff put everything out for no extra charge. There was no fee for cutting the cake for us. The wait staff was attentive but never overbearing. The event room is beautiful and cozy - it was absolutely perfect for our shower! They have a very generous menu of meal options to choose from, and you get to select a soup or salad and an entree (which also includes entree salads, quiche, or more traditional meat and pasta options). Everything comes with warm, delicious bread and butter. For our first course, we chose the salad with field greens, strawberries, oranges, goat cheese crumbles, toasted almonds, and raspberry vinaigrette for the salad. It was so tasty! For the entree, we selected the parmesan crusted chicken breast with grilled asparagus, cheddar mashed potatoes, onion strings, and tomato butter sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy, the asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were anything but flavorless. All and all, if you're looking to host a small get together in the western suburbs, I would highly recommend Adelle's. I'm excited to visit again sometime for dinner the next time I'm in town visiting my parents!
The meal was tasty but the portions were small for the price.
Full package..regular customer..food, cocktails, wine selections and atmosphere always excellent
Terrible.....
Good food
Great food, very good service too.
When here with my mom and my sister-in-law for Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful dining experience in the food is outstanding!
Very inventive and delicious menu.
Good food and service.
Portions are extremely small. Went for a group event. Left extremely hungry. Food was bland and had no flavor. Will never be going back here
This place is great! Great desserts!
Awesome spot. Live music is great!
Ernie and Hermann are the best! Wonderful dinner. Always good food and service.
Totally enjoyed the Friday fish fry which is only available during Lent.
Sometimes I wish the beer list was a bit more adventurous but we love going on Thursday nights to listen to music in the bar
Delicious food, beautiful restaurant. I was totally surprised by the great experience. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. Make reservations as the place gets packed - at least on weekends.
Extremely satisfied. The atmosphere was very relaxing comfortable the service was excellent in the food was extremely good!
This place is obviously one of the coolest place to eat in the neighborhood. Whenever I visit this place I am so glad. They maintain their high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they give. You are always happy with this place. Highly recommended.
Excellent experience! I had my daughters baby shower on a Saturday with the whole place to ourselves. Food was excellent, service fantastic. Highly recommend.
Outstanding! I was there on Saturday for a birthday party. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I really like the way the place is decorated and it's the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen. We'll be visiting again!
Nice restaurant in Downtown Wheaton with an excellent outdoor patio. The Risotto specials are always amazing (tip:order the entree as an appetizer for a group of 4 or more) and the rest of the food is equally excellent. Great wine and drink list and a relaxing atmosphere.
Horrible food! Overpriced! Owner admitted they microwave food made the day before. AVOID this place!
Never disappoints. great ambience and great staff.
High price food
Very nice place, delicious food, good portions, people were great, really nice, down to earth home feel, I'll be back
Delicious. Very friendly staff. We had great conversation with our bartender and later on our waiter.
Everything was fantastic. Would definitely go back.
Visited for the first time on Saturday night. Somewhat unusual atmosphere. Not terribly warm and inviting, although there were some private party rooms or booth areas for special occasions. Food was ok. Dinner salads were adequate. Ordered the famous meatloaf, as well as salmon. Also the meatball sliders and fish tacos as appetizers. The sliders were tasty and the fish tacos could be a meal. Also tried the pork, which was breaded and too thin. Entrees were average size. Garlic mash potato and asparagus sides were good. Prices were slightly on the higher side. Drink menu was average. The place had a nice bar with piano player, but was pretty much emptied out by 10:30 pm.
Dined here a week or two ago and was very satisfied with the food and service. Definitely look forward to coming here again.
My go to place in the western suburbs
Nice menu, good service, accommodating owner
The ambiance of this place is amazing. Came here for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and vibe. We will definitely be coming back
Bringing the
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Adele's with family. Excellent food and service.
Great food here!!! Salads are always original. Main courses fresh and atmosphere is inviting. We have eaten three times and stuffed ourselves. Au Gratin potatoes delicious. Large selection of craft cocktails too.
Great food. Very creative menu.Tried the very delicious lobster deviled eggs and a tasty featured salmon dish.AMAZING!!!Also had the daily risotto with shrimp and scallops. Another fantastic dish.
One of my favorite restaurants! Very reasonable prices for the quality and service.
Hand's down - my favorite restaurant in the Chicago area. The best in terms of food quality experience, staff is wonderful and the bartender can make a Sezerack that is literally a slice of heaven on earth.
Terrific bar and dinner experience
Some of the strongest martinis you will buy. I love them for their bar since there aren't many nice bars in the area. The food is great, pricey, but great. Meatloaf sliders are fun to share and taste very good. Staff is very nice and attentive.
Food is decent, but it is very expensive. I expect to be wowed for the cost.
Very cool place & clean specially in the kitchen
Lovely cozy decor, excellent service, interesting menu, delishly prepared food. Great place! Don't tell anyone
Unique little Suburban restaurant. The service was excellent. We were greeted by an employee holding the doors open and set on the bar side of the restaurant our server was very prompt and helpful.
I love Adelle's. The food is inventive, the service is always great and the atmosphere is laid back. If you aren't famished, the small plates are a good choice, but I've never had a bad meal there. And they have love music some nights.
Great service and even better food. Don't miss the risotto!
First date night dinner in Wheaton since moving from the city. The food was excellent (I had the salmon) and our server was attentive. 4/5 for the dining room ambiance- it was nice, but not unique. The patio looked great and we'll be back to try it when the weather warms up.
Salads are unique, and the desserts are bomb.
Incredible food incredible service
The atmosphere is fantastic! Great service!
Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. (Pricey for someone on fixed income.) Place is jamming every night it's open, outdoor seating available.
I had my Bridal Shower here. Debbie has it streamlined. They made the whole thing seem like the easiest part of my wedding planning process. You pick a date with Debbie, pick what you want off the menu, which may have been the hardest part because of all the amazing options! And just show up. The rooms are already very pretty, so we just threw some flowers on the tables and that was it! They provide everything else you might need. They even accommodated for the vegans and vegetarians in my group, who always loved their meals. On top of it all the staff was attentive and kind, stayed ahead of the game refilling breads and drinks, taking requests. Overall, just a wonderful experience. Any future events....I am going to Adelle's. Thanks Guys!
Came here for my husbands birthday and all of our food was delicious. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere is great.
Extremely disappointed with our visit with Adelle's (not so) Fine American Fare. After finding Adelle's online and reading about the owner and chef, as well as viewing the amazing looking photos of the food...we were excited and looking forward to treating ourselves to an above average dining experience to celebrate my 61st birthday. We started with shareables of Portobello Mushroom Fries and the Duck Confit Gnocchi which were actually quite good...but the entrees were so far below expectations that I would rate them closer to zero stars. That is how I got all the way up to my 2 star rating. I ordered the Pork Tenderloin Schnitzel. The presentation left much to be desired. It looked as though it had all been slopped onto a plate and tossed in a microwave. The plate itself was hot while the food on it was not. The tenderloin was honestly the least tender loin I believe I have ever had. Difficult to cut through with the knife and a chore to chew. The crispy pan fried egg-herb spätzle was completely void of any noticeable flavor. The braised red cabbage was bland and if that is where the granny smith apple had been placed, any sign of it either in site or taste had evaporated. My girlfriend had Adelle's Meatloaf. Overly dry and there may have been an entire thimble full of the mushroom Bordelaise sauce hidden underneath. The rest of her plate looked as though it had been served from a high school lunch room. And we made the silly decision to have desserts. It was just a shame. Whoever plated the dinners and desserts in the photographs on the website was definitely nowhere near Adelle's last night. I do not feel it is the least bit unreasonable to expect the food to resemble the way it was presented in the photos on the website. It was a major major let down to what we were led to believe we would be served at Adelle's, in presentation, preparation, and taste. The wise move, in hindsight, would have been to send both entrees back and have them removed from the bill. The likelihood of us giving Adelle's another try is not at all, unless it were entirely complimentary. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.
Comfortable, friendly, very competent food and service. They need to bring back the porta bello fries and the lobster spring rolls.
Green beans and Proseco .... Excellent
Excellent restaurant!!!!
This was a great place for dinner; romantic, warm smiles & friendly service. Just what my husband and I were looking for to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back!
Pricey but excellent
Took forever to get food..and it was cold! They need to improve their service!
Tasty food, but too much oil. We had terrible gas afterward, and my meat-eating senior parents suffered as well. Also, either the servers or the kitchen doesn't seem to understand the concept of veganism.
This is our favorite restaurant--the food is absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The service is wonderful. And the atmosphere is gorgeous. We go to Adelle's for all our special occasions and would recommend this fine restaurant to anyone seeking a superb dining experience.
Great food and service. Restaurant week specials.
We love this place for a mid week date night. Appetizer and small plates are excellent. Chef's daily deviled eggs and risottos are amazing.
Wonderful server, Mae was there to refill our wine glasses, she recommended appetizers and she was ready when we wanted to place our dinner order. Very pleasant atmosphere of the "patio". We had a great evening!
Fabulous. Food - Service - People. Marianne and Todd and servers all, thank you for inviting us into your establishment for yet another great evening! Great job with the menu - the crowd tonight speaks! - John, Sue, Pete, Kathy
This place has great food options. Drink availability is good too.
What a treasure of a place to find in downtown Wheaton. The atmosphere is outstanding and dinner was one of the finest I've had in years. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a great date location as well as a perfect place for couples to meet where they can talk in a gorgeous dining room or a spectacular bar with live music.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. First off, lets get right to the food, because really that's what we care about right? Absolute amazing! Over the past few years I have had nearly everything on the always changing, seasonal menu, and I can tell you I have never had anything I didn't love. The chef at Adelles must be a true artisan, because everything is also nearly perfect. The wine list is also amazing. Great choices for all tastes and budgets. Also, there is no better service around, hands down best service I have had. You CANNOT go wrong with Adelles. Service, décor, and food are all TOP NOTCH!
EXCELLENT food, service, friendly and moderately priced. The place is gorgeous.
Absolutely outstanding fine dining! Food was superb and atmosphere is great!
I have been visiting Adelle's for years and I have never been disappointed. Their menu is exceptionally diverse and their preparations are rock solid. Their wine menu is also quite sophisticated. Recently, they have moved to a new, larger space and it is breathtaking. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant all of my family and friends.
Overrated. Everything we ordered was OK but w mostly 5 star ratings we expected great or exceptional. Service and decor exceeded food. Perhaps we were expecting too much for $ 50 a head with a drink.
Wonderful service, The food is what can be expected from an american cuisine. " think comfort food". I suggest the lobster risotto. Good place to go for small plates.
Not worth it.
Excellent service and food. There is no better restaurant in the western suburbs.
Delicious food
great food, atmosphere and service.
Great quiet professional atmosphere. Waitress was flustered but when faced with our families demanding orders, I can definitely understand why. She did a good job. Loved the visit, good food and camaraderie was superb.
The service was subpar. The food was not memorable and downright poor in quality. I've had much better food there in the past and the last experience was disappointing. I don't plan on returning.
Amazing risotto, and fantastic service! Atmosphere is top notch, too.
Very well organised and welcoming place. They serve large meals and for inexpensive prices. I enjoyed the meals very much and the staff members were super attentive and explanatory. Highly recommended.
My brother and sister-in-law hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at Adelle's this evening, and everything was amazing. Our compliments to the entire restaurant staff, including cooks, servers, and management for a wonderful evening! Thank you for everything you did to make our nephew and his bride's evening so special. Would highly recommend Adelle's in Wheaton!
Great food and atmosphere
Adelle's is absolutely delicious every time I go. I also love the decor. The cork wall is really cool, and the outdoor patio is beautiful.
Absolutely excellent food and service. The atmosphere was wonderful.
Loved the Salmon dish, and their service was excellent. I’m in Chicago for the first time, and since I’ve been here, I’ve got food delivered to my room. So this was my first proper dining out experience during this trip, and it was good in every way. The place wasn’t noisy despite it being crowded, the service was timely and excellent, and the food was tasty.
Great restaurant
Good burger's!
Had a wedding rehearsal reception here. Fantastic food and service. Highly recommended
Excellent food great staff. Highly recommend.
Pricey but mostly 45 and up crowd
Great entrees and small plates!
Flavorful and creative food, personable and friendly staff. Outdoor dining fantastic experience
Good food, amazing staff. Great place for a larger party with a private room in back. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
Excellent food. Friendly wait staff.
The food is good - but seems heavy and salty... I've enjoyed better high end cuisine.
Great food, atmosphere and ambience.
Great food and service..... plus they pour a generous drink
Excellent from scratch cooking.
Very nice restaurant very upscale, We just went to bar had some half price appetizers. Was very busy for a Wednesday
Doesn't compare to other places at the same price point. Personally, I didn't like the unequal portion sizes during their prix fix Valentine's dinner... I finished my small meal (scallops) in about a third of the time my date finished her large portion meal (beef). I had to sit there waiting for her to finish, and after awhile, she took it upon herself to just pack up the rest. If it weren't for my date being my wife, I think it would have been awkward for the girl to eat for so much longer than the guy. Perhaps they should have added more vegetables, more than one (small) shrimp, or some other time if filler to my small portion plate so that we'd finish at about the same time. Overall, it lacked the professionalism of fine dining establishments. There's a big difference between them and say Morton's or Sullivan's, and $220 for the two of us (1 drink each) was just not worth it.
Pretty good for the suburbs! Better than any chain restaurant I've been to in the area, for sure.
Love the patio. Food is great and staff is always nice. They also donated a wonderful appetizer to a non profit event last October that was a hit. We're extremely thankful to this locally owned restaurant for all their generous donations to community organizations. Oh, and no corkage fee on Tuesdays!
Great food
Elegant..Classic American food ..Sit near fireplace
A solid place to eat if you are looking for finer dining in the area. The service is impeccable.
Exceptionally good devil eggs. Great selection of wine, beers and ciders.
Great small plates!
Great food and atmosphere. Service a little slow.
The patio furniture was cheap. The pasta was bland as could be, overcooked, and somehow undersauced even though we ordered extra sauce. Cheap dried pasta. Poorly seasoned. For $24 I expect much more. Honestly, I would have been unhappy at a quickserve restaurant for $8 for the same dish.
The atmosphere was generic, but peaceful. Our waitress was very kind. But the food was absolutely not worth half of what we paid for it. I could approximate something to the penne dish at home with maybe $12 worth of ingredients, and it would feed at least 2 people. We paid $48 for two plates of incredibly boring and uninspired food. Had a glass of the cab, which was tasty. The dessert menu brought another series of yawns and we decided not to partake. The food wasn't BAD, just completely and utterly not worth what we paid. We won't be back.
I hosted my baby shower at Adelle's last Saturday. Let me just say the food was AMAZING and the service was top notch. Everyone was very accommodating, especially with my ever growing guest list that went from 20 to 40+ in a matter of weeks. Debbie was wonderful to work with and she made everything stress-free. I highly recommend Adelle's to anyone planning to host an event. If you want excellent service and food, this is the place to go! Thank you Debbie and your staff for making the day perfect!
Very good service and food.
