First time and I'd have to say last! Definitely prefer Texas Roadhouse 1000 times over. Super pricey as well, I definitely dont mind spending a good amount on a good steak or waiting 45 minutes but definitely not going again.

My wife and I took her mom out for a B-day dinner. The food was amazing, but I recognized stockman doesn't celebrate ones Birthday with a dessert. Anyway, great service great food! We will continue to come back.

Large menu, heavy on bovine selections. There are other items, too. We chose the medium cut of prime rib, it was done to order, but was so freakin' large we could have split it easily. It wasn't the best prime rib but it did the job. Service was friendly and timely. Very busy on a weeknight (two large parties) and we were in and out in about an hour. We waddled across the bridge to our hotel and food-coma-ed for the rest of the evening. The only negative was we were just halfway through our salads when our entree arrived. Having had the experience of a bad 'Can we finish our salads, first?' in the past at other restaurants, we abandoned the salads for the entree. The baked potato was the fluffiest, I've ever had (that must be because it was an IDAHO potato!

One of my favorite places to eat in Eastern Idaho, favorite in Idaho Falls! I ordered a chicken salad and they made it extra spicy, just like I requested and their desert, just amazing!!! Their cheese cake is house made!! You have to try it!! The server was amazing too, wish I could remember her name, very fast and friendly. Will be going back soon.

The service was slower than expected. The table was infuriatingly wobbly. My hubby noticed that there was dust build up in the heating ducts right above our table. The food was good not the best I've had but better than a lot of places. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was good. The daiquiris were pretty good you could taste the alcohol which I like. Overall it was good I wont be in a hurry to go back though.

Went here for the first time to celebrate my sister's graduation. Their prices are a little bit high but they have giant portions and the food is so delicious so it all works out in the end. The service was amazing and super nice! If we're ever out this way again, we'll definitely come back!

This place was so fun and had a very good vibe! Went there for my mother's birthday and their food was AMAZING!! The 8 tier cake was so good it warmed my heart! It is and was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! A little more upscale and pricey than I would usually go for, but 100% worth it! I totally recommend it!!!

Everything was excellent! Meltdown prime rib was so good and cooked perfectly! Service was great. Awesome atmosphere and even better cheesecake. Make sure to get the blackberry lemon cheesecake!

Honestly not super impressed with this place. Everything on the menu felt over priced and underwhelming. We went with a large party and most people had the same opinion. Maybe it was just that we were a big party? Stockmans feels like its trying to be an upscale steakhouse but the food is just lackluster. Not that it's bad, but I don't feel like there's much magic going on back there in the kitchen. As has been mentioned in other reviews they don't know how to cook a steak quite right. My brother in law ordered a rare steak and got it served medium well. I'd compare the quality of Stockman's on our visit to a Chili's or maybe even Applebees. With that said I'd maybe give it another try. I'll update my review if we ever go back.

Definitely gives texas roadhouse a run for its money. Steak is really tender smaller servings for the lunch crowd. But can be a little spendy.

The atmosphere is very nice, I’ll pay for that and that’s why I don’t mind the cost of this dinning experience. The people that run this place have an outstanding staff and I’ve seen them bend over backwards to accommodate whatever the customers needs or want. We will return just a great place and a very nice meal.

Had an excellent rare prime rub with lots of fresh horseradish. Was excellent. Dinner rolls are addictive! Very good service as well, everyone was extremely friendly, fast and effective. Only complaint was that my baked potato was very small. And this was in Idaho! Still, overall excellent. And great beer selection too!

All I can say is wow. Super good fillet with pepper corn and garlic it was cooked perfectly. Appetizers were delicious and dessert was ridiculously ginormous and so tasty. Service was impeccable. I'll definitely try Stockman's again.

I hesitate to rate them to low because of the wait and service. They had all the local area high schools in for prom night on top of being a busy Friday night. That being said, next time I'll stick with Texas Roadhouse for my steak for 25% less money. I would also have to say Texas Roadhouse steaks are just better. Just my honest opinion...

Had the salmon lunch special and the salmon was good. The sweet potato fries had a sweet and salt coating that I wasn't a fan of and were very skinny. My husband had steak and it was cooked correctly for medium rare. Good flavor and very tender. Service was good.

We reserved a room for my parents 50th anniversary party and we were very well taken care of. The staff, though busy, took the initiative to make my veggies separate to ensure they were made without dairy, which I really appreciated. The food was well made and we had a great time there. I definitely recommend it as a good option if you need a space for a large party with good service and food.

Ate at Stockmans Restaurant with a group of people from work. When we walked in, we were greeted and seated quickly, even with our large group. They served rolls in the beginning that tasted homemade with a yummy butter to go with. Between our group, we ordered a variety of food including steak, prime rib, burgers, and salad. I ordered a burger that was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Everyone in our group loved their food. The service was awesome and atmosphere was great. I will definitely be back when I come back to town. Thank you Stockmans!

I think this place is absolutely awful! The service was really good but that’s about it. We had a party of 9 and 5 of us ordered steak. Those of us who ordered steak couldn’t eat our steak. Every steak was cooked incorrectly. And they were all flavorless. This is the second time I’ve gone there and tried the steak, both times I was incredibly disappointed and couldn’t eat it. Especially at $25+ for a steak at least it could be cooked correctly... I will not be going back. But with that said the waitress was very apologetic and she did comp our meals. Which I appreciate but when 5 out of 9 people are getting their meals comped I would expect a manager to come by the table at least.

So. I wasn't sure if I was going to review because I usually get several bad experiences before I review. I was wanting to go out to dinner tonight for a special occasion. Was greeted quickly by front staff and was seated quickly. Server got to us at a average time. Server overall was pretty good. The rolls my fiance and I got were actually pretty tasty. With really good butter. They weren't very many but good. I got my salad for my meal at the same time. Salad wasn't very good but I wasn't too concerned as that wasn't the main focus of the meal. The stake then came shortly after. Honestly, it was okay. But like okay I mean Denny's quality. Like the majority of it was edible. But overall wasn't near what I expected. This was my first time at Stockman's and hoped it would be better, especially ordering stake at a stakehouse. I have spent less at Texas Roadhouse and have had better food. Maybe it was a fluke thing, but my wallet can't afford to spend $20+ a plate to have it happen again and not be satisfied at the end...

I love this place. The food is excellent, occasionally I order something I dislike, but overall I enjoy everything I eat. I find myself enjoying the atmosphere here more than I do the food. *edit: I decided to drop my 5 star review to a 4. The reason for this is due to my last visit. While there, we sat at a booth to the left in the all wood dining area. I noticed that the booth fabric had a lot of food stains all over it, which was really unsettling. It was also pretty annoying to have to ask for the rolls. This isnt the first-time I had to do this either. Like are they not Normally offered? Why do all of the waiters/waitresses I encounter try to keep them hidden?! As the evening progressed our order of pickle spears came and for the ten dollars spent on them we were given 6 French fry sized spears. They tasted good, but ten dollars for only six is ridiculous. Eventually the food came and it tasted great, except for the chicken fried steak. Did the recipe change? Because its taste was pretty poor compared to the last time we ate there. All in all we had a good time but this last visit did not live up to previous experiences I've had here.

I was really excited after reading the other reviews, but the med rare steak I ordered came out med well, the sauteed veggies were cold, and the drink I ordered before the entree came out didn't even get made til the check had already been delivered. The cheesecake was really good, though. The staff was also very friendly. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I found it overpriced. I won't be going back next time I'm in town. One of the best restaurants in Idaho Falls! Steak options are great and the salmon is amazing. You can't go wrong with the sweet potato fries...they bring a side of honey butter to dip them in, amazing! Coconut shrimp is a tremendous appetizer or entree. Make sure you get hot rolls! Sometimes they will bring out rolls that are burned or cold, just ask for warm fresh rolls because they are addicting!

This is a local mecca for casual dinner that delivers quality food, well-organized service and fun atmosphere. There are plenty of seats at the bar and TVs with sports, but also tables and booths near windows or on the second level for an intimate family meal. Good food in generous portions is on offer at reasonable prices. If you're hungry, salads are huge and their famous all-you-can-eat sirloin can be an excellent value in cooked-to-order steak. Servers are casual and friendly but very efficient and hard-working. The menu says "come as you are" and the experience bears out the motto and makes you feel comfortable and satisfied.

I have been a loyal supporter of Stockman’s restaurant since they opened their doors in the log building on the way to Rigby. I have had many large parties and hundreds of business meetings there as well as friends and family dinners. It has always been the place I refer people to when asked for the best place to eat in Idaho Falls. However, lately I am not happy with what is happening there. Don’t know if they have changed owners or what. The service is still impeccable as always but the food is really going downhill and the prices are getting ridiculous for the amount of food you get. The portions have been noticeably smaller and many of the items aren’t prepared the same as the ones I have always loved. Took an out of town business team the other night and was really sorry that I did as everyone remarked that they had eaten better food other places. Hope you take this to heart as I would hate to see a wonderful place shut down. Won’t be back till I hear things are better. Have heard a lot of negative from patrons lately.

The best steak house in Idaho Falls. Awesome service. Best food ever. A little on the pricy side, but you definitely get what you pay for. I have returned several times and will continue to go. We take friends and family who come to visit here. All of them have loved it. BEST PRIME-RIB EVER!!! The steaks are also incredible. Always cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth. 10/10 for me and I will keep going back.

I just have to say overall this restaurant is amazing from the atmosphere to the food to the service all of it was amazing. My husband is in the service and his traveled everywhere and for him to say that was the best steak he has ever had is amazing. Also the food came out at just the right pace it wasn’t like we were being rushed out of there. I hate it when you order your appetizer and food and they all come out at the same time. Our server Kathy was very personable she helped us with what to order and it tasted great she even helped us with where to go after dinner for sightseeing.

The service was OK, but not as good as expected for an off-peak hours visit. I'd say stay away from anything fried. The batter tasted like it should be used for a funnel cake. The chicken fried steak could go on the desert menu. I would have returned it if I could find our server. There's no salsa The Bleu cheese steak and the Cajun steak that other ordered were top notch.

And I really recommend the fried green bean appetizer as it was my favorite out of the ones myself and my group ordered. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Their Idaho favorite rib eye steak is to die for. Their Nachos are also delicious. But beware if you order the viking. It comes out sizzling on a cast iron skillet so it's still cooking. So if you order your steak medium it comes out well. Other than that everything was great!

Went for a business meeting and everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff was attentive. During dinner hours the wait can be extremely long (like nearly an hour) so plan ahead with reservations if possible. The steaks were cooked perfect. Only downside is that it can turn into an expensive meal as some of the steaks are near $40.
