Went here this evening for our anniversary and I ordered the Maine lobster which was $75 and the Mac n cheese and ate about 4 bites of each. The Lobster tasted way too fishy like it was a few days old and the Mac n cheese’s favor resembled something with wine it it. Both tasted awful, my lobster was lukewarm, filled with guts and I was too intimidated to tell the manager when he came over. The service was good but the food was not worth it and we won’t be returning.

Excellent steakhouse. The food is amazing and the staff is absolutely the best I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been here several times and the most recent there was a miscommunication when ordering. It was not a huge deal at all and quite honestly could’ve been my fault, it was easily fixed with no inconvenience to me but the staff treated it as if they had committed a horrendous thing. They bought me a second drink, I wasn’t drinking a cheap drink either. Then the manager came to personally apologize and brought shrimp cocktail, the best I’ve had. I was slightly embarrassed that one small mistake was escalated but it shows they genuinely care about their customers, their product and their image. I can guarantee that if you come in here with or without mistakes and more than likely there will be none, you will be back many times. Most restaurants, even if I like them, I can usually take it or leave it. I cannot got to Boise without going to Chandlers!

We had the most amazing time. We went for our 10 year anniversary and it was one for the books. We had our server Zach and the team were just amazing and the service was beyond. He was so kind as we had never been in before and made amazing reccomendations. Crab cakes (so yummy), scallops (best I've had) yellow potatoes (fair but save your room for other items that are amazing and the server did not reccommend them.. wish we had stuck to only what he reccomended haha), creamed spinach (so good and cannot wait for left overs!) Fillet mignon (perfect cook and sear) lobster bisque (again some of the best I've had).. and then chocolate souffle on the house (delicious but by this point you can guess we have many to go boxes and a full stomach but it was so fun to sample a good set of items. We will go back for another special occasion as this was a night to remember. Thanks!

This is absolute fine dining wonderful food with very professional waiters. There is an extensive wine list of which we enjoyed a few bottles. The au gratin potatoes and spinach souffle side dishes were wonderful. The steak tartare was perfect and the oysters tasted like we were still on the boat.

Exquisite is the only word for this entire dining experience! I've been to some of the biggest and best steakhouses in Chicago but none compare to the entire experience here in Boise! From the reservations to leaving the restaurant was a dream! The rib eye steak was the most tender, flavorful and juicy one I've ever had in my 60+ years anywhere, charred on the outside and a true medium rare in the inside... Perfection! The crab cakes had no bread or cornmeal fillers in them just pure crab, spices, etc.! The wait staff is beyond professional and courteous! I have never gone to a restaurant and been called by my name as given on the reservation... Mrs. ----, such a personal and welcome touch. Don't pass up the opportunity to done here, it's a truly pleasurable experience you won't forget soon!

Since leaving the following review, I have learned that my companion misread our check. Our dessert listed a price, but it was deducted from the final bill. We both feel really bad that we gave a less than stellar review. Chandler's obviously cares about their customers, as evidenced by a very nice call from them. Bumping review to 5 stars, because the food and service before, during and after were exceptional. Original review: The food was delicious, service excellent, but we were told the dessert was complimentary for a special occasion. We were charged for the dessert. Had I known, I would have ordered the dessert I really wanted.

Visited this establishment for the first time last night and can I just say, wow. This locally owned steakhouse is a true gem. We started with some scallops and they were exquiset. Unbelievably amazing. We then had the abalone for an appetizer. It wasn't my cup of tea because the texture was very different than typical fish, but that's not anyone's fault, just different. We had a Cowboy Cut and a SRF Fillet for dinner and they were absolutely amazing. Cooking beautiful cuts of meat to perfection is truly an art, and they nailed it. The cocktails were well done and the atmosphere was very nice. If I could give it a 6 star I would. Be prepared to have 2 hours of fine dining experience feel like 20 minutes. They don't rush you and allow you to have a relaxed, enjoyable experience. This is a must visit if you're a local, or just in town. Bravo Chandlers. BRAVO. In response to Chandlers: I don't mind at all!

Hiqh quality, perfectly prepared food. Flat iron steak was to die for...and local beef, which was a bonus. Service from valet to front to the table was attentive and helpful without being intrusive, felt spoiled in a really good way. Handled gluten and soy intolerances directly and very thoroughly in a way that left us not having to worry yet didn't make a big fuss, either. 3rd time in about 4 years and still my favorite for special get-togethers or celebrations.

This was difficult to rate for a variety of reasons. For starters the place is beautiful, clean, great location, and offers valet parking. The food is presented well, but the quality and taste of the food is just not worth the money. The steak in particular was overcook and oddly very tough and dry. They did try and make it right by making us a new one, which was then cooked to medium as we asked, but still very tough and dry. I was not impressed. Incredibly disapointing considering the prices. I also found it to be so rude how fixated they were with you removing your jacket, hat, etc. We were all dressed very appropriate, yet felt very judged when they kept asking us to check our stuff after we told them no thank you twice. I just think if I'm coming in for a $300 meal for my husband and I, I don't wanna be told what to wear or do with my coat.

My husband and I went to Chandlers for the first time tonight for my birthday. We got there early and our table was ready. Yay! The server was excellent. I wish I knew her name. I cant believe I've missed this place with all my visits to Boise. I came here for a work function with a prix fix menu. The scallops they served and flat iron wagyu steak that was so outstanding I came back the next day. The next night I had the aged NY strip with wedge salad and potato. Again absolutely everything was exceptional. I had planned to come back a third time for the bone marrow and abalone but after two days of all that meat I needed a nap

I've always been impressed with Chandler's food (except the desserts- they are lacking when compared to the main course). The first time I went I was with my parents and the staff were incredibly helpful and recommended several different things. I have been four times now. This last visit was my husbands last night out before deploying. He loves Chandler's and wanted to splurge before he left. We went with some friends and I noticed we were treated differently. I think it is because we look young (this happens everywhere). It was a shame because our friends had never eaten here before and were so looking forward to trying it. I was again impressed with the food, however I had to ask for the bread a few times (which I had explained was so delicious to our friends), and extra sauce once our meal came out. They gave us a free dessert because they knew my husband was leaving, which was very generous. I just left feeling a little bummed that such a great restaurant would not treat us as well as they did when my parents were with us. It left a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm sure we will be eating here again, because it is so tasty, but I hope that the next time we go, we are treated the same way we were the first time.

Everything is absolutely the finest experience in dining that you can find in Boise. The service is impeccable, the food is exquisite, and the drinks and ambiance are top notch as well! Superb steakhouse in the heart of Boise. Our dishes were expertly prepared, and served with service to match. The atmosphere was terrific, and featured a love piano player in the lounge to set the mood. If recommend the grass-fed filet - it's made with a smokey, slightly spicy dry rub, and served with a small portion of vegetables. Table-mates had the salmon and the tuna, both of which were also excellent. Prices are fair considering the class of service and the quality of food, and the free valet is appreciated. Great experience!

We held our Christmas dinner with 12 people tonight at Chandlers. The atmosphere was perfect with Christmas decorations up, piano playing in the background and perfect lighting. Every item was delicious, from the mushroom soup I had and lobster soup my wife enjoyed. The main course after the bread and appetizers were fantastic. I dare say the best filet mignon in town. Service was good. Was sat on the bar side on a high top table which was great and very happy to get a table. Crab chowder was good. Entre: surf and turf - the lobster tail was delicious, asparagus with hollandaise was great, pomme frites were perfect, filet was cooked medium well/well instead of the medium I asked for. Server came to check in after the meal was plated - I didn't mention the steak because it was still very tender and very delicious and I have no doubt that if I had asked they would have made it right. With that being said and reading other reviews the servers should visually assess the steak when asking and the cooks should be given additional training on steak temperatures. Dessert was cheesecake which was very good and a perfect sweet ending to a good meal. Rounded out the meal with a couple of glasses of cab sauv.

I made the mistake of trying something new for our anniversary this year and going somewhere other then chandlers. We regretted that decision very quickly. We ended up at Chandlers for drinks and those amazing Oysters I can’t wait to have again. My birthday is coming up soon and I can’t wait to dine at my favorite again. I know good food and service. I was raised in the east coast where food is life, I worked in the restaurant business, and my husband use to be a chef. So when I tell you this is the place to go if you want to take it up a notch, I know what I’m talking about. Keep up the good work guys.

An extensive wine list that includes all budgets is available. The seafood is as fresh as anyone could expect for a landlocked place like Boise. But we have direct flights from the sea, so they take advantage of that. The beef selections are fantastic, and cooked to perfection. Service is excellent as well. Great place for date night. Nice little spot for a small band for music. All around great spot. Reservations recommended. Use open table.

Love this place. Very very good food along with service. I ordered Tuna and it was great. They have very good beer. They didn't have IPA but they have very similar Beer which I like a lot.

Nice ambience, but my NY was far from being a good piece of meat. You can eat for less better anywhere else. Leaned my lesson, won't accept poor overpriced products like this anymore. VE To Miss Chandlers response. Definitely I should have asked the waiter to replace my steak. That I'll take on me. For the level of exclusivity and price, Chandler's should be aware of product quality at any time, since the meat was not at par, dry aged or cooked properly. Something went wrong, let's not blame the cow.
