It's okay. Came here for lunch. The server was nice. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and fries. I did not like the tuna tacos. The tuna had sinew in it that I could not chew through and overall it was too spicy. You couldn't taste anything but the chili heat. The chilled watermelon soup sounded good in theory, but just didn't really taste that good. There was also a fly that was buzzing around and was annoying. The view was neat and the restaurant looks nice, just wasn't excited about my food

The restaurant itself is so charming. I loved the environment and location. The drinks were great but the food really left something to be desired. I think we just got the wrong thing. We ordered off the happy hour menu and were really unimpressed with how the dishes tasted. Very little flavor and they also came out lukewarm. Service from our waitress and drinks were fantastic. Definitely plan on coming back to try something else.

FOUR STARS FOR THE WAITRESS AND THE DELICIOUS FOOD. We came in for dinner on a Friday night and we came in early since we did not call ahead. There was no one waiting and plenty of tables available. There was a hostess at the front and a gentleman sitting next to her. The hostess went to seat some people and the gentleman asked if we had a reservation. I said no we did not. He said that if we could order and eat quickly and not linger and visit after eating because they had lots of reservations. He said I don't want you to choke on your food but just to eat and go. That put a damper on the evening. We thought about leaving but I had been looking forward to eating there. Our waitress was amazing and I asked for a suggestion on the dinner specials and both my husband and I ordered the halibut and it was delicious. I did feel rushed but the waitress and food almost made up for feeling like I needed to eat and run.

For all of the hoopla I've heard about this place, it failed to deliver. My Angus Ribeye was cooked to order (medium rare)but was flavorless, how does that happen. My Cobb salad with the tenderloin in it seemed like a packaged salad you would find on a grocery store. Short of the steak in it, everything was segregated to the outer rim of the plate. Go figure the brussel sprouts were good. Oh, I didn't mention the 5 inch hair that circled my dining partners caesar salad. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Ate here last night. The menu has some very interesting combinations (blueberry pork chops for one) Food was very good I had the Charred Romaine salad and it was excellent. I loved the creamy Taragon dressing . Had it with salmon added which was also awesome. Food did take almost 45 minutes to get to our table which was strange as it was not that packed so if you are in a hurry you probably dont want to go here. Our waiter did give us excellent service, I think the kitchen may have been backed up. That is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I had a 29 Mule for a cocktail (a Moscow Mule with their house made ginger beer) which was the best I've had and would highly recommend it. We will definitely go back to try those Pork Chops!

Went here for lunch with my friend. Delicious food!!!! Prices are very decent for the amount of great food you get. It is a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses treated my friend and I very professionally. Place was very clean I would go back again and again. Highly recommend for anyone to try at least once. Took my girlfriend to Brick 29 for our date night and they didn't disappoint. Service and atmosphere was great. A lofted view of downtown and our waitress was funny and accommodating. We each ordered the lamb shank and it was absolutely the best I've ever had! It was amamazing and the attention paid to how it was seasoned, cooked, and presented, far exceeded my expectations. Brick 29, without a doubt, will be revisited.

Great place to eat, but for employment I would not recommend. Constantly watching your back is a must, if the team dislikes you then your time up will be soon. It's a right to work state, and Brick 29 adheres to this really well. and nobody stands a chance being the new kid. Highly disappointed on how they handle employee situations. Will not recommend.

Finally stopped in at Brick 29 this afternoon. I've heard so many great things about this spot, but we aren't in Nampa that often. We missed the lunch menu and were too early for dinner, but they have a mid-day menu that still has many tasty choices. I had the bacon mac and cheese, my friend had the BLAT with a creamy mushroom soup. We were both very pleased with our entrees and the added bonus was the view of the snow capped Owhyees. We would definitely go back for seconds.

Today you cannot find a restaurant with consistent quality food and service. Brick 29 breaks that by giving a great fine dining experience. One of the things I really like is the uniqueness of the each option to try something new and that is way beyond my culinary abilities. I'm not a soup guy but the mushroom bisque is a must have along with the chicken. Highly recommend plus each of the waiters or waitresses we've had have been very personal.

Fourth time here and it gets better every time!! My wife or I always order one of the specials and one regular menu item. The regular items are always great and it's easy to see why they are always available. The specials however have always been on another level. Tonight's was a Snake River Kobe Beef Flank steak covered just the most amazing marinade. (Cant quite remember exactly what it was) My rib eye was cooked almost to perfection and had amazing flavor (bistro style) I couldn't imagine a better dinner. Keep up the good work! Inhaled the food to fast to snap a picture.

One plate was the Mac n' cheese. It came with bacon, chicken, and serranos (chicken added, serranos substituted for tomatoes). It was a very good dish for what it was. Filet mignon (rare, which is a very specific and welcomed rare... Not "blue rare" but only slightly warm and all kinds of red) was the best steak I've ever had. The sides were Au Gratin potatoes, which were arguably better than how my mom used to make them (arguably...) Overall, this place has an amazing atmosphere and the flavors are worth the price. The price is nothing short of expensive for a middle class family, such as us. But we went for a very special engagement celebrating between the two of us, and I have to say that returning for the second time was even better than the first.

From the first impression nice bistro. But if you are driving 700 miles and want quick lunch, not worth it at all. Ordered 3 salads to go, waited 20 min, asked not add onions to one of them but to add them to another one. Kitchen didn’t capture anything of that. Had to return back and change the salad. Instead of remaking it they just removed onions and topping. After driving a while realized that both of Ceaser salads didn’t have hard boiled eggs that are part of the ingredients. Waitress didn’t even apologize. Back in 2010 they had several awards for the best bistro, very interested for what? P.s. negative impression for the service, but salads good though.

This is probably the fanciest resteraunt in Nampa. I have been here once and was impressed by the climate of the resturant. The elevated view of downtown Nampa is nice and the food is pretty good. My only real issue is how long it takes to make it. When I went there, it wasn't that busy and it still took a little while. Otherwise nice resteraunt.

We had the Reuben & brisket grilled cheese & their flavors were superb. Their pudding & cake can put you in a coma but so worth it. Highly recommended, folks!

I had visited Brick 29 years ago while visiting family in Idaho. Earlier this year, I got to go back - and boy has it changed! The views from the new location are gorgeous, especially at night. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledge, eager to expand upon menu choices, even letting us know where they sourced some ingredients! And the food itself was great - a lot of fun choices, all tasty. By the way - we got cheesecake for dessert - WOW, generous servings! Glad we decided to share!

Great food and good service all the way from the check in process to the the meal itself. Atmosphere is top notch. We waited for over an hour (our fault) but we did eventually get in. At the suggestion of the front greeters, we headed downstairs for drinks at a very cool almost "speak easy" bar and had a great time. Brick 29 called down for us later and it was like having a private bar/holding area just for their guests. Very cool. We would definitely recommend Brick 29 especially if you live close in Nampa.

The food is a 5. The service is a 3. Things to improve on. Greetings and professionalism at the door. Don't keep your customers waiting or at least acknowledge them when they arrive. Bartendending staff please place a napkin down before placing a drink on the bar. Give your guests moment to settle in and enjoy their cocktail before asking for order. Overall probably the best retaurant in the Boise Metro area. If you want better, head to Sun Valley or Coeur d'Alene.

Went in with my husband, hungry. Left with my husband, hungry. The service was not great. Every table around us was getting service, but our waitress apparently kept forgetting we were there or something. The food that had flavor was odd tasting and the rest had no flavor. My husband and I could not talk during dinner as it was extremely loud in there. Considering it is supposed to be a more upscale restaurant, I expected to be able to enjoy conversation and dinner. Instead we were very disappointed, and wound up coming home to eat something. Won't go back and won't recommend this restaurant.

We showed up on a lark as we were in town for a National History Day competition. Unbeknownst to us this establishment is a culinary hotspot of the area and it was prom night. The maitre de said it was unlikely that he would be able seat our family of five, but endeavored to comb the schedule for a spot. Relying on experience of diner timing, incoming reservations and gut, he engineered us a table. The man was affable and truly a gentleman, I regret that his name escapes me. To the meal, well, the place lives up to the hype. Expertly prepared food, elevated to the level of excellent cuisine. The bisques, the bread, the steaks, the seafood, the burgers, yes, damn good. We were seated in a booth near the kitchen and my observations were that of a well rehearsed and caring staff. From front of house, to wait staff, to back of house and all the in betweens, the scene of work was harmonious and caring. The atmosphere of the dining room was light, jubilent and relaxed. People were truly enjoying being here. This, above all else is the mark of an establishment that has earned their clientel's trust. I know they earned mine. We will be back. And to the maitre de, thank you friend, you opened a door you didn't need to and helped create a memorable dining experience for my family and I. From my house to yours, salute to a hundred years of health.

Had lunch here with friend and wife as we were treated by a business associate. The buffalo burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious as well as the mushroom soup. The Reuben sandwich was also delicious and a high quality side salad was nice. Service was great and my only downer are they are a bit pricey at $12+ per person at a minimum for lunch. Dinner is 20+ I was told. So, good food but bring a full wallet.

The food was amazing and the restaurant staff was friendly. Would give it five stars if it hadn’t taken 15 minutes to find out how to get in. We are not local and just googled the place. The entrance is only marked on the door of the building. We walked down a long corridor which led nowhere. We heard people talking through a door marked ”janitor closet”. Turned out to be some hidden “speak easy”. The bar tender told us the food was upstairs so we went looking for stairs. No stairs. Finally stumbled across the elevator and found the restaurant. Jeesh!

Outstanding! Nampa is lucky to have such a gem in town. We really enjoyed our experience and the food was worthy of a James Beard award. Service was top notch and it's clear the staff functions together well. Pro tip: if you want a fine dining experience but don't want to pay full price, go to Brick 29 for lunch. They also have a wonderful mid-afternoon menu. The fish tacos are perfectly balanced and a real treat. We will be back anytime we're within a 20 mile radius! Thank you Brick 29!

Awesome! The lamb shank was amazing and the local corn ravioli with Salmon was a delightful experience in every bite. The drinks, their version of the Moscow Mule, was simply the best I've had. The service was unmatched, I wore a tank top and jeans, but still was treated as if I wore a tailored made suit. I will most undoubtedly be going back. Reservations are not required, and I only had to wait 5 minutes on a Friday night, but I will probably make reservations next time. They definitely acquired a new regular

Mushroom bisque is amazing. Ribeye is pretty good, mashed potatoes are some of the best you'll find. Subtracting a star because they don't have salt on tables (a bit pretentious, many munch better fine dining places have salt on table) and their steak knives arent sharp enough (the last few times I've been).

Brick 29 is heaven sent. I try to find any excuse to go there - date nights, lunch meetings, you name it! Mushroom bisque is the best I've ever had. Their seasonal corn soup is so light and refreshing. My husband got their local corn ravioli with salmon and said it was the best salmon he has ever eaten. Their bacon is so yummy too, so try it on anything. Love their use of local ingredients and evolving seasonal treats!

The food here was amazing! Our waiter was very personable and stayed on top of everything making sure we had everything we needed. The elevator took longer than expected to get to us and bring us up to the restaurant. The noise level was a little high for me. It seemed like everything bounced around the room making it hard for some of my companions to hear me. That's the ONLY reason I did 4 stars. The food is phenomenal and I definitely recommend it if you want a place to go where you can dress up a bit, but not break the bank.

Our meals here have been phenomenal every time. We love coming here for special occasions. Their seasonal offerings are always great, and it's nice to see slight changes to the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and well priced for how sophisticated the food was. Definitely coming back again to try more items on the menu. We had the B29 fries for an appetizer with bacon on top, rhubarb grilled cheese with soup, and a bistro cheeseburger with soup. The appetizer of fries with bacon on top was delicious.The soup was a sweet corn chowder which was amazing, one of the best I've ever had. Our sandwiches were just as delicious, the rhubarb chutney is genius on grilled cheese. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Traveling from Oklahoma - weekend in Boise - our hotel staff recommended Brick 29. Best meal and overall experience we've had in a long time! They were very busy and we didn't have a reservation, but they were hospitable and accommodating. Service was great and attentive, menu was appealing, meal was amazing. If you're in the area, treat yourself to this unique and eclectic dining treat. You won't be disappointed!

Food is good. We had two alcoholic drinks less than 10.00 each. And two dinner plates. Total 70.00. In my opinion it is over priced. The complimentary bread was literally 3 small slices of bread the size of a dollar coin. I laughed when I saw it. Tables so close to each other I could hear people's conversations next to us. It was loud and hard time talking with my wife. Good food but not $70.00 good. Chandlers or PF changs in boise are about same price but more privacy and quieter and a better menu selection.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and quick. It did not receive 5 stars because my Filet Mignon had almost no flavor. The gravy/sauce they put in the meat had almost no flavor either. I wasn't fond of the potato side dish, it was a little charred on the bottom. My wife loved her fish meal however.

Absolutely delicious! I don't usually bother with reviews but we were impressed. The Bistro 29 fries were sooo good! Often fries are mediocre but these were awesome. I feel like Gordon Ramsay wouldn't be happy with the raw garlic on the fries, but I just brushed that off and it was super tasty. The burger is delicious as well, they over cooked it some but it was still yummy. Even the bun was good, which I don't usually care for. My husband loved the steak, the balsamic/bbq sauce was something we'll want again! And the pizza from the kid's menu was tasty as well and not overpriced Decor/ambiance on point, and waiting service was courteous and kind. Overall a delightful experience!!

Great atmosphere and great views out of their windows as it's the top story of the building. I took my wife here on a date night during the week, she had never been. It wasn't busy, but I had called ahead for a reservation just in case as I know they have filled up quickly before. Dinner was superb. I had the lamb shank (pictured). It was very filling and I had to take the rest home. My wife had a steak dinner. The waitress was very attentive and personable. For dessert, we had their bread pudding. It was great. My wife was not a fan of bread pudding, but she loved Brick 29's, as I knew she would. For dinner, a bottle of wine, dessert, and tip, ran about $100. So if you are going all out for a date, you will spend some money, but we'll worth it!

The food quality far exceeds the price. We discovered Brick 29 about 5 years ago and dine here now every time we visit. Sooo good! This trip, we ate here twice! Their calamari is the best I've ever had, definitely try the spicy version for a unique palette treat. This trip my favorites were the roasted beet salad and the butternut squash ravioli. We had a large family group, our food came out quickly and everyone loved their meals.

Can’t even begin to explain in detailed how outstanding this place was for our first experience. We spoke with the chef on our way up the elevator & gave us some fabulous recommendations. We were seated very quickly, food was SOO good, far exceeded what I’d hoped for & the waitress Jessica was incredibly helpful, kind & professional.
