Incredible place for a party. I went here for a film premiere, with all of the TV’s there was not a bad seat in the house. I imagine it’s a perfect place to watch a game. The staff was as professional as they come. Great service and despite the rowdy nature of the crowd that night they handled everything and didn’t kill the vibe of the party. I hope to go back again if I get the opportunity.

It was pretty cool! I went to an app release party there ( it's called whatsthemovenyc on android and apple devices btw. They tell you all the go-to places and events in NYC & NJ) sorry for the plug but back to the review. We had a great time. The staff were very nice and the food wasn't bad. My fries were spicy how i like them & the Crab cakes were good. It was cool to see all the the around us playing sports as well. They even played the company's commercial through the TVs! Very cool. The interior decoration is very beautiful. I would come back again

This place has a great ambiance, a lot smaller than it looks but a nice way to watch any sporting event. The drinks are not ridiculously priced like other places in the area and the music doesn't get TOO loud. The staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean.

This Club/Sports Bar/Restaurant all rolled up into one(owned but JAY-Z of course) was spectacular. Me and my wife visit it before last yr and it was on a weekday. It was nice then but nothing like going on a Saturday night. This place is so elegant in style and the food was good. It's made like a mini stadium. you come in and the bar sits ground level with all the big flat screen TVs around it and of course they have the Mega Screen. you walk up steps to go to each table that are sitting pyramid style, half surrounding the bar which is at ground zero. When you reach the top, they have VIP Rooms with another bar by them. As you can see it was very crowded and the Rapper FAT JOE and his goons

Went here for the bachelor party package. Pros and Cons listed PROS Very nice atmosphere, very good service. Seated us immediately upon arrival. Wings and catfish fingers were banging! CONS Dress code is supposed to be impressive attire. No hats, sneakers, work boots or anything close to a sweat suit. What we saw was all of the above. Normally not a problem, except I dressed how they asked me to, only to feel overdressed. That was disappointing. The package included 10 shots of liquor. That was some nasty liquor in those shots. We had to order something else. Very pricey replacement. I would go back, but not my 1st choice.

The server ruined our experience!!! We reserved a table, the server gave us one round of drinks and disappeared with our card , so when we decided we were leaving, we had to ask security to get our server. Then we asked for separate check which was not done, so I gave $34 for $28 drink plus tax and tip. And said charge the rest to the card. He over charged the card and claimed he only received $28 in cash. So we got security and they offered to get the manager but we didn't want to wait ny longer them and decided to leave. The lying server then follows us outside and gets in our face talking about where the receipt? We told him it was at the bar, with security and the bartender. And we told him to back up out our face. Then he says what you gone do about it to 2 females, Really?! This whole situation was very unprofessional!! Definitely not a good look, especially when we are out of towners.

We reserved a table. Arrived around 12:00a and the the place was pretty empty, yet it still took about 30 minutes for a waitress to take our order. The floor around our table still had food all over it. Not sure if the air conditioning broke or what, but the 8 of us were sweating all night. It was extremely uncomfortable in there. There are many other places around Manhattan that are nicer and where we would have been much more comfortable for $1k we spend.

This place is a must go! My husband and I went for Monday night football. We were very pleased with everything. Great music playing until the game started. We were given a tour of the club. Loved the layout of the place. Many different areas to hang out, all very comfortable. The chaise seating and being able to put our feet up was much appreciated after two days of non-stop walking around the city! The huge TVs were amazing to watch the game on. The food and service were awesome. Special shout out to our server Sara who was so friendly and attentive ...up and down the stairs to check on us all night (we sat at the top). Looking forward to going on a weekend for the wilder side of things.

Amazing Service! We were a party of 8! Building was clean and nice. My party even got a tour of the upper level. Food was fresh and quick from kitchen. Terrell was our server and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the club and menu. Pricing is reasonable, great cocktails for $15. I would definitely be returning.

Attended a V.I.P. event. Enjoyed the big screens. But, the liquor served was called "House Liquor" by the Bartender. She wouldn't show me what brands they had. And i couldn't order "Top Shelf" because of the party i was with. So I ordered whiskey on the rocks. She said i couldn't order it like that. I went to the other bartender and got it twice!! And they refused to show me what the house brands were! LOW CLASS MOVE! THE HOUSE BRANDS ARE CHEAP!

I wish I had read reviews prior to eating here. I was looking forward to an upscale experience but this wasn’t it. Our server was amazing and very informative. She also was accommodating given that we were cold by the door & asked to move. The food portions were huge, and the food was tasty but nothing special for the price. My drink was very tasty though - I ordered the code. The music was toooo good! We jammed all dinner ! My favourite part. The venue was dingy, a lot could be updated & made more upscale. I also packed my meal to go & the take our bag & presentation was horrible, that of a convenience store or something. I think the mistake we made was eating at an obvious club. This place comes off totally different online which I find kind of shocking. There wasn’t much luxury about it. It came off as though they lost it over the years. They can do better with presentation & food for sure. They should definitely turn it into only a lounge/club & keep it at that.

This spot has an extraordinary feel, much littler than it looks however a pleasant method to observe any donning event.The nourishment and beverages were alright, agreeable. I'd seen it throughout the years, however never ceased. It is the best spot around the local area to go with associates after office for getting a charge out of beverages and feeling unwind.

Date night out with my husband & this was a great choice!! 8:30pm on a Saturday night & it wasn't crowded at all, even though it was Pride wknd! There weren't any events taking place, so it was nice. The music was good & the service was great. My husband had the short rib & LOVED it, my chicken was good as well. I would definitely recommend this place & plan on going back again.

The music is absolutely amazing. The food is good. The club and atmosphere is excellent. My friends and I went to 2 other clubs till we found the party here. The drinks is kinda pricey. The bathrooms are gross so carry baby wipes and hand sanitizer because they run out of toilet paper and soap.

I went on a Saturday for a dressed to impress night... the place was empty af and the music was extremely loud for no reason...On top of that, my friends and I were the only ones dressed up with maybe one other group that left early because the club was dead... The lights were too bright for a club... people probably didn't want to dance because the lights were beaming down on everyone. The deejay seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. His set was so weird... like maybe he didn't want people to dance? Whew ch'ile and the drinks were expensive as hell... like the club was tryna make up for having just 20 people in there. The decor was nice though and so was the waitress... that's about it. I will not be doing back unless they start doing better.

I went to nyc for vacation, my hotel was 3 mint away so I decided to go to 40/40 the place was beautiful but I didn't like the bar tender, it wasnt that much people there , the gentleman and the lady pass by us 4 times before they ask can they help us, the drink didn't mix correctly. They did not clean the bar properly. I decided next time I go to nyc for business or vacation I will definitely find another place, it wasnt my vibe.

This is a great spot to hang. Granted it was snowingraining when we went the whole place was spacious. Lots of people, great atmosphere, friendly staff. 4 stars because it was a little hectic trying to find a place to sit, but that could also be attributed to the sheer amount of people inside. If you want a good vibe atmosphere I would recommend it. That and the view is gorgeous.

1. Our 1st reservation was lost. 2. Made a new reservation, received confirmation, day of reservation, received a text, replied to the text, on the way. I was not late, arrived to the club, was told we had no reservation bc we did not pay in advance (there was a fight airing). I had no idea a fight was being aired. 3. On top of this, we had to pay $40 to get in. Bought 1 drink each & left bc we had no place to sit and eat dinner. So we had to pay $40 to be told, we had no table. RIP off!!! I'm disappointed, was looking forward to it on my New York vacation.

Overall the 40/40 club is a beautiful establishment. I showed up on 1/19/19. This was my first time visiting from Detroit and there a a major fight going on that night so needless to say I was excited. I wanted to be prepared so I made my reservations in advance via email after seeing an instagram post. I received an email back about 2 days later confirming my reservation. The night of my reservation I received 2 reminder emails and a text. The last one told me to remember to arrive early for my reservation so I did. At this point I assumed the establishment was very well organized because so far everything was very informative. Here comes the bait and switch. I arrived with my fiancé to the club. It was snowy night so we had coats. We were told upon entry $20 fee plus $5 mandatory coat check. Shocking because that wasn't mentioned anywhere but somewhat expected because there was a major fight happening. We paid it. No biggie. We get escorted inside and a lovely hostess confirmed my name and began escorting us to our seats. She stops halfway to our seats, turned around and said "Just wanted to let you know there's $100 minimum per person to sit at a table". Excuse me, what?! Now I've worked in sales for years and that is a sneaky sales tactic. There were SEVERAL opportunities to present this $100 per person table minimum. On the Instagram ad that was posted encouraging people to RSVP, in the email confirming my reservation, even the email reminding me of my reservation. Heck even at the door BEFORE we paid the cover and mandatory coat check fee. Nonetheless, my fiancé really wanted to see the fight so we said no to the table and headed to the bar for free, letting our reserved table go. We get to the bar, order drinks, he pulls out his credit card. The bartender takes his credit card and says "there's a $50 minimum when you pay with a credit card so we have to keep your card AND ID with the tab". Now, card for the tab is fine....but the ID too? That makes absolutely ZERO SENSE. There are so many things that can go wrong with keeping someone's ID and credit card. That's the dumbest policy I've ever heard. So of course we got to the $50 minimum in one order because there are SO many things that could go wrong. What if you forget your card and id? What if the bartender lost it? What if some unexpected evacuation happens at the bar? It's easy to cancel a credit card but to get back in id as a person that's traveling from a different state, not so much. We stayed the night to watch the fight because he enjoys boxing. We didn't stay as late because I wore heels expecting to sit in the reserved table. As I looked around I began to wonder if all the people sitting at the tables we actually spending $100 per person. I also looked around and noticed multiple people wearing coats. What about the mandatory coat check? This made me wonder if we were swindled because we were out of towners, which was even more frustrating. Overall as I stated before, the club was nice and the environment was great for the fight. But I will likely never return because of the bait and switch and this is also why I'm giving the establishment a one star rating.

I booked a party on a Friday night at the 40/40 club. I wasn’t told that it was a slow night due to “summer”. My party flew in from different places to celebrate my birthday, and we could have stayed at home basically. The club was dead and the manager along with our waitress was very rude. I paid for my whole package a week in advance including gratuity that’s probably why they didn’t care to treat us well. It was a terrible experience, and Jay Z needs to check on his club performance cause it’s not popping at all for it to be his club.

The atmosphere was great, food, and the DJ was great. But I bought a VIP package, that included was suppose to include "according to the website" VIP seating, a baseball cap, t-shirt, and photos. Well the photos was taken with a Polaroid type camera that didn't come out to great, the pictures were smaller than a 4 X 6, the pictures that my party took with our camera phone came out better than the pictures that was in our package. We did not get the baseball cap or t-shirt as the package stated, but our server told us that we had to pick which souvenir we wanted. The VIP seating was just a reserved table in the front. I think had my party would have known, we would of just paid to get in and took our own pictures with our phone and just ordered our food, and they charged my card twice.

I visited the 40/40 for a networking event and I had a good experience except for a few things. The events location where it was being hosted was very HOT. To the point where there was only 2 stand fans that was cooling the room where there was about 20 people standing around. It was uncomfortable to be in the room and I had to network in the hall way. Hopefully the property will provide better alternatives for the A/C unit.

This is easily the worst drinks I've had not only in all of New York, but in all of my travels. An old fashioned should never be bright pink and taste like cough syrup. I returned that drink along with what was supposed to be a chocolate martini, but was actually skim water. Yes, skim water. Like watered down skim milk. Also the worst dj. He couldn't let a song play for ten seconds before he just had to tell something into the mic. The only thing good about the place were the servers. All of them were gracious and helpful. I would never go here again.

Went on a Monday and there were barely any patrons and our waitress came around to check up on us maybe once every 20 minutes. This would t have been an issue but my food came out a full 30 minutes before my friends and there was no explanation as to why and a weak apology. If you love sports paraphernalia, check out the top floor. They have signed jerseys from great players all sports.

Ok so I made reservations for the Notorious B.I.G event on 03-08-19. When we got there, there was no hostess at the door. This was my first time attending this club, so I had no idea where to find him or her so I went back out & asked the lady at coat check who should I speak with about my reservation & she was nice enough to find the person in charge of reservations who was standing on the steps leading to the upper level nowhere near the entrance. When I got to her I told her I made reservations. She did not ask me my name. She just asked if I wanted to be seated downstairs or upstairs. She took us upstairs, seated us & told us a waiter would come take our orders. A waiter never came. We saw a waiter helping a table close to us, so I asked her could we get a waiter she said with an attitude that we had to go to the bar to place our orders. I found that ridiculous. We wanted to order food and bottle service but had to go and wait in line at the bar. What was the point of reserving a table if we still have to do that. I ended up going to the bar where I had to wait about 15 minutes to order then once I got my drinks the bartender took so long to give me my card and I.D back I ended up finishing one of the drinks I had & ordering another smh. Due to the poor customer service we didn’t do bottle service or order food. We just had the couple drinks from the bar and left. On another note the club is huge, beautiful and the music is great. Definitely a mature crowd. I had high hopes for this club. I definitely will give it another try. Hopefully I will receive better service then.

this place has the worse management I have ever experienced. Sombeody needs to tell them the definition of a reservation because they apparently have no idea what they are. We had a reservation arrived on time and was never seated for more than two hours!! The management staff was rude and inconsiderate. This was a special evening for my girlfriend's Bday we flew in from St. Louis! One of the main things she wanted to do was visit this trifling over-rated club. It was one of the worse experiences we ever had. drinks were lousy too.

I've been going to the 40 since it opened. Had my bachelor's party there in addition to other parties. Hadn't been back in a while and I have to say that the atmosphere now is a bit more adult..and muted especially on a fight night. Not necessarily a bad thing though. Maybe it's a result of recent "events" there or maybe we're just all grown up now. Always been a good time though.

My husband and I visited NY for his 40th bday and he's such a big Jay-Z fan we had to check out the spot. We enjoyed everything from the atmosphere, food and staff! I really wish I had gotten or remembered our server's name because she was so sweet and helpful. She was bartending also but made sure we were taken care of. Security took the time and took a picture of us. Just a wonderful laid back environment.

The DJ here was off the hook and the place was spacious with plenty of seating. Drinks could be better but it's a Mahanttan bar, so I dont expect any different. Bottle service is recommended

The rice was great!! The chicken wings were a disappointment and unflavored. They were supposed to be the 40/40 seasoning. Crab cakes were tiny but tasty.
