Great burger place. The single patty was big, juicy and tasty. Fries were also crispy. Service was also really nice and fast. They are renovating at the moment, so you currently have to sit in a area with no air conditioning. The only downside was that the menu was English with Japanese comments and translations, that’s why we looked up the menu from the website. Unfortunately the prices of the website don’t match with the prices in the restaurant. Please update the menu on your website!!

Teetered between 2 and 3 stars... Not satisfied but its tourist area so i guess ill give 3 (read:2.5). I think some of these other 5 star reviewers must be from bo dunk places that dont know about burgers. If it was $5 cheaper wouldve given a 4, so if money is no object sure go. Burgers were pretty ok, they GOUGE you on the fountain drink and fries($5!). i get it if the burgers are more expensive on the islands, but i give super negative points to gouge on fries and sugar water. The fries are not that good, soggy not crispy (i use five guys as an example of good crispy yet juicy fries) the burgers were OK. Both my wife and i thought as much. $18 pretax for the aloha burger fries and drink. This place has gotten it to their head and raised prices faster than inflation.

Best burger I’ve had since I got to Oahu, and I highly recommend it. Our order took awhile to come out but it was busy and we don’t mind waiting for good food. The only problem I had was the manager or supervisor on duty was really rude with her employees, and even yelled at one and embarrassed her from across the lobby in front of a ton of customers. Totally inappropriate for her to do so in that setting, and very inappropriate for her to be talking to her employees that way.

If you decide to visit Teddy's, don't be in a hurry to get anywhere. There were 7 people in line ahead of us and it took nearly 25 minutes to place our order. And then took another 25 to 30 minutes to get our food. When the food came we were missing an order of french-fries and the bacon that was supposed to be on a cheeseburger. While these items were replaced, it seemed almost as if I was bothering the employees to ask for it. The overall quality of the food was okay. The burgers were tasty. The fries were good too. However my Hawaiian burger bun was so soggy when I got it that it literally squished in my fingers and fell apart. Oh... speaking of the Hawaiian burger...while the menu board quotes $1.59 extra for it, they charged me $2.00. It wasn't worth the hassle or aggravation to go back and argue about it though as I would have held up the other people who had been waiting in line so long too.

Got more than one star only because the workers seemed obliviously happy to serve garbage. Was scared to feed the food to my kids, and felt bad the foreigner clientele might actually think that’s what a burger is suppose to taste like. Undercooked meat, pound if nasty sauce, cold fries, all for $30. Add it to the list of the Waikiki tourist traps. *update - homeless people in the shared bathroom, Classic!

I must say you pay pretty penny for a burger, fries and a drink but I think its totally worth it. Service has always been good too - I've probably had to wait 40 mins to order and receive my food but what do you expect from a place so busy?! Two of us went in on a Thursday night around 7:15. The young man behind the counter was friendly and very helpful without being obnoxious. We both had the 7 oz original burger combo. The burger comes with a special sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. My wife added bacon. The burger was good. Was it the best burger I have ever had? Probably not, but it was good, the lettuce was fresh and it wasn't overpowered with pickles and onions. My wife said the bacon was very good and we both agreed the french fries were awesome. On a side note, the restaurant was very clean and the women's restroom was spotless. We will go back for sure.

Firstly, I ordered The Hangover and it was a great combination of ingredients. The buns were cold and the pastrami was kinda shoved on in a clunk which made it difficult to hold the burger together. Compared with the disappointing burgers my friends purchased, it was pretty good. Having said that, the overall experience was disgraceful and I have no idea why this place was recommended. We got there for opening, and there was a line of about 12 people. Craig on the register functioning in slow motion, like a zombie. And I'm not exaggerating. He clearly had no interest in being there considering his mono face, lack of communication, and general manner. Someone ought to...I don't know..manage the "restaurant" maybe?

I ordered from here twice while on vacation. 1st one was single burger and small fry. The single deluxe burger was so red and undercooked and the fries were good. 2nd time i went i ordered no pink and the burger was so overcooked it was yucky! The fries were bad also like they were cooked and put under a heat lamp for a couple hours. Not going back!!

Teddy’s is awesome. They are one of my favorite burger joints of all time because of the almost infinite customizability of their burgers. I could have a huge burger and my wife could enjoy the exact same burger in smaller form if she wanted. And they’re ridiculously delicious to boot.

Burgers are delicious! Pretty big patties. So be careful about ordering more than one. I tried the parmesan fries, they were pretty good. I was not impressed with the chicken milkshake that I ordered. It was $7 and was not very big and didn't taste that great. Super thick too, hard to actually suck up the straw. Will not be getting the milkshake again. Disappointed. There wasn't really anywhere to ear inside as they were doing work on half of the place.

Driving through town we were looking for a place that you can't eat everywhere and we stumbled upon Teddy's. With its eclectic burger menu and fun atmosphere, we enjoyed ourselves. I had the avocado burger and it was LOADED! The only issue we had was that the two people I was with both got burgers that weren't evenly cooked and were a little too pink in parts.

One of the worst burgers I have ever had. I don't write many reviews, this one deserves it. I had heard great things about Teddy's but I was sorely disappointed. First, when I called to order ahead the guy could not answer my questions. This was my first time ordering so I wanted to know about the sizes of the burgers and whether the onion rings would be a good portion for two. Unfortunately, all he could respond with is, "is that all?" I went with it, I thought oh well maybe they are super busy. I live right next door so I was really hoping this would turn out well. Service was bad inside too. I waited in the line with the sign that said "phone-in orders" for a couple of minutes and nobody helped me. When I got my order the guy stuck his hand inside my bag with the open onion rings, that was weird. The buns were not toasted, the burgers were cold. When we got to the middle of these "medium" burgers, they were burnt on the outside and red on the inside. Toppings were nothing special. It just tasted bad. Worse than McDonalds, seriously. Hope we don't get sick. Will never order again.

This place is the perfect place to reenergize after being on the beach all day. They got some in house specials you won't find anywhere else. Also they got a few vegan options which I tired as a nkn-vegan LOVED! Staff is pretty friendly. They also have a Japanese menu displayed on the TV's . Outside seating as well to get away from the crowd. They even got sparkling water!!

10/4/19 Update: I contacted Teddy's per their request below. That was 5 days ago and again 3 days ago. Jenelle sent a note wanting my receipt which I provided. She has not responded, nor made this right to me. So at this point, I'm left to believe asking me to contact them was just a game to make them look good on the review. I'll minus another star, as I don't appreciate deceit. I take reviews very seriously, as we use them to make decisions as we travel a lot for work. If I hear from Teddys and they make it right, I'll update. **************** Original Review: I came here on my lunch hour while on a working trip to Honolulu. This has the potential to be good, but sadly...I ordered my garlic chicken basket to go. I walked to my hotel (less than a block away) and when I took out the order it looked like plain chicken strips. There was this yellow-orange sauce. I thought that must be the garlic cheese sauce. Imagine my expression when it was this bizarre tangy, sweet sauce. I walk back to Teddys. They just took my chicken and sprinkled it with garlic cheese, as they got around to it. My same chicken. Gave it back to me. I walk back to my hotel and my fries and chicken are no longer fresh or hot. They got it wrong. They should have made it fresh for me and offered me a cold drink or something for free for my inconvenience. Instead, we won't be back during our times of working here and I'm writing a negative review. Teddy's, please train your people in customer service. Your food may be great when it's hot and fresh, but I lost out on that opportunity to find out. Your fries are gross when cold.

Good burgers, great fries, decent meal, but a bit on the pricier end. My chief motivation for eating at Teddy's was due to Chase Pay running a $5 discount offer. While I don't regret choosing to eat there, I certainly would not have gone out of my way to eat at Teddy's without the offer. The double burger was hefty - so much so that I had some initial concern that I might not be able to eat it all (that proved unfounded). The fries were however the real star of the meal - deliciously crispy, just how I like them. The decor and atmosphere of the place is a throwback, and they share a coded bathroom with the hotel next door.

Well, the burger was pretty good and I would say great butI personally don't like such a lean burger. I prefer a burger with more fat which adds natural flavor and tenderness. The fries were better than most. Price was good for the quality of beef. Again, if you like a really lean burger, this place is for you. A friend and I went by Teddy's Bigger Burger looking for a delicious food filled fun time. Instead we got a cashier that constantly wiped her nose in front of us with her bare hands, asked a coworker to make my milkshake which he replied with "No", then 20 minutes later making it herself with her snot covered fingers, didn't even stir the root beer flavoring into it, and my friend waited 45 minutes and still didn't get his food. But if you like stone cold food that may or may not be covered in snot then give this place a try!

Going in I was excited about a Hawaiian burger joint. Unfortunately I had a disappointing experience. Burgers weren't anything special. Mine was over cooked while my partner's was medium to medium rare. The teriyaki sauce was good, and their special sauce tastes a lot like honey mustard. Staff was friendly and our food was fast. The highlight of the night was definately the fries. We upgraded one order to the garlic seasoning (not the butter), and they were fantastic.

Absolutely love Teddy's! The best burgers in Hawaii hands down. Will be one of the first stops when I come back to visit my family. Each location has a unique burger. I forget the one for the Waikiki location but they are all superb. Their shakes are also great and well worth the money and the calories!

Not sure if this is the original location. No frills counter to order your food and limited seating inside and six tables outside. Hum, what to order - a single, sounds just right; a double, will the bun hold it; or the triple, outrageously huge. Do you even need fries? You don’t say onion rings... I’m full already. Recommend ordering a single with fries. You will not be disappointed. Aloha!

Tasty huge burgers located on the west side of Waikiki. The double combo comes with a "small" drink and "small" fry but honestly looks like a medium drink and fry. the patties look to be 1/3 lb each. Normally medium well unless specified, I asked for mine medium rare but looks more medium. The combo is about $15. Wait to order and for food can be abit long. Friendly staff.

Fantastic burgers! The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful with my family as we were there visiting for vacation from Texas and had never been there. There were some renovations being done so my family had to sit at different tables outside but it was covered/shady with a nice breeze. The food was brought to us fresh, hot, and yummy!

The locations have different levels actually, went to two and the experiences were way different. The first one I went to was by far the best burger I've ever eaten. Got a bigger Hawaiian burger and the thing was drowning in it's own juice before I even lifted it up. Amazing. The second place (this location) was good but the menus were slightly different and they didn't offer as much as the first place had - for example, instead of sizing options of big, bigger, biggest, they had single, double, triple which were corresponding to the numbers of patties you would get. Either way, a must visit in Hawaii.

Been here before and loved the menu. I usually get the Kaneohe style burger in a kid's size with fries and an extra side of sauce on the side. Attempted to do this, however they switched to Express. So I ordered a grilled chicken Sandwich garlic style with American cheese instead of cheddar (don't have) and added avocado. Expecting the usual toppings. Recieved plain chicken with only avocado- no sauce, no lettuce, no tomatoe or onion and a side of small fries for 16 bucks. After waiting over 20 minutes for my order, having somewhere I needed to be I couldn't wait for the corrections. Won't go back to this location. I'd say stick to a different spot outside of town!

Walking distance from Waikiki Beach Tesdys is Located in the lobby of the Waikiki Grand hotel and directly across the Honolulu Zoo. The menu is pretty much all burgers and fries although you can order chicken and salad. Ordering can take awhile because of the long lines and details involved when it comes to your customized burger. They definitely make sure your burger is specific to your request. And once your order is in it can take a while to get it if it's busy. Psrking is linited to the zoo and public metered parking which is a good walking distance away. They have a new system where you can order your food and pick it up and there's always Ubereats available for delivery I've eaten there a few times and overall it's been real good. However the last time I was there it wasnt as good.

They have changed the concept this location is Teddy's Express which are very small burgers kind of a knock off to Shake Shack. I can tell the beef and sauce is still the same but they don't cook up the same and are more dry. It also seems like a terrible decision because for the years I've been coming here the Asian tourists have always made this very popular with their Instagram photos etc almost making fun of our eating habits and the whole "bigger burger" thing. I only get to Hawaii once a year and always look forward to eating here but will scope out the non express locations . I never thought it ever took too long to begin with. Dumb move

Everything was good. A bit pricy but not outrageous in comparison to other restaurants in Waikiki. I got the Volcano Burger (1 patty was plenty) which was really tasty but ridiculously messy. The patty was thick which is why you'd only need 1, any more and it would be a slip'n'slide with all the sauces. Being thick it was a bit pink in the middle, which I am always ok with and usually prefer, but only if it's requested. When it's not requested, hopefully it sits well as I have to hike Diamond Head in the morning! 5 stars for now!

I had their orignal big burger and enjoyed it. I have been craving a burger for a while and this one hit the spot. The burger gets a 5 for flavor but closer to a 4 for mess because the sauce used in the burger went everywhere. The wraper helped to hold most all of the mess so I was able to enjoy my meal. Thus I gave it a 4 ( a very good score in my opinion). I am very greatful for the meal!!

I heard about this place from another tourist. They raved about the food so when we wanted a burger, Hawaiian style, this was the spot. Just walking up, the place was packed with smiling faces chattering about & the line was long. Always a good sign. We order a couple Aloha burgers. They are so juicy, flavorful & cooked just right. The burger sauce & grilled pineapple set it off. So worth the wait in gold. We'll be a repeat customer. ONLY bummer-the shake machine was out of order (sigh!). Our mouths watered desperately for the Chocolate Peanutbutter & Dreamsickle shakes. Would have loved washing all that yumminess down with one...

Awesome place for Vegitarian and meat burgers. The staff was super friendly and helped everybody works through the three menus. One of them in Korean, one of them in Japanese, and one in English. They took the time to help my family work through our order. We had veggie burgers with the spicy sauce and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who's looking for great service and great food.

I wanna give the place 4.5 but I'd rather not vote 4 so I gave a 5. Had a single spicy burger combo. It had onion rings bacon and cheese. Hands down 2nd best burger I've had in my entire life. (the first is a joint in Tel Aviv 6 years ago when I was off my face that won't be beat unless a burger was grilled by God Himself). So. Long story short: the burger. Everything I wanted it to be and more. Fresh beef, bacon to perfection, melted cheese in every bite, spicy BBQ sauce...I'd have eaten three if my family wasn't there to stop me. The fries though, skinny like McDonald fries, but over cooked in old oil. Half were burnt to crisp. (This is where they lost a half point) But seriously though the burger....wow... Other stuff, place is super clean, staff fun and friendly. Thank you guys!

I ate at one of the Teddy's locations on Oahu, and could only dream of the next time I'd be able to have one of their amazing Hawaiian burgers. Well, lo and behold, last summer Teddy's opened up in Iowa City. Since then, I've eaten here whenever I've been in town and it always satisfies a craving that nothing else can. High quality beef, incredible sauces, fun burgers, a unique (and very well done) atmosphere, with great service always combine for one of my favorite dining experiences in an area loaded with fantastic options. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot!

We ordered 4 different hamburgers, all was under cooked. The girl working at the counter told another customer that the whole crew was hung over because they were all out late and only got a couple of hours of sleep and that she hoped that their food was right. When we come back to Hawaii we WILL NOT be eating here again.

I ordered a biggest burgers from this store about twice a month on the app. the burgers are huge. So I asked them to separate a patty normally. Now at first I didn't realize that the toppings are free but once I didn't I started ordering extra topping (which is free). Last time I made an order this dude by the name of chris (maybe don't remember. skinny white kid with glasses) was like I was ordering two burgers so they couldn't honor the separation of one of the patties. His other reasoning for not giving my burger as requested is that I order free toppings and that messes their profit margin. what does that have to do with me? The store offers the free toppings. There's no difference from one biggest and two burger other than the separation. The app allows me to get unlimited toppings. Apparently he has some inside knowledge behind the business (which might be true), so he told me that he they are going to "fix" the free toppings issue. He also states that the only reason why the items are free is because is to make people buy another burger. I don't need justification for a supposed issue that the company is having. I just want my burger the way I ordered and if it's impossible to do so, then make it impossible for me to order it like that. The burgers are huge (and I like that )but the huge burgers create a mess and the separation is my way of solving it. Adding free toppings is my right provided by the company and not this individual store. I really don't like reviewing but thinking back I'm really upset with the service I was receiving. I just wanted what I paid for and I was refused. He should of gave me my extra topping and I'll separate it myself. counterintuitive, I know but can I do with lazy individuals trying to do what ever they can not to do extra work.

This place is the best!! Brandon, behind the counter, was a blast with the kids right when we walked in. I got the bacon avocado burger and it was delicious. The kids got chicken strips and they were also on point. The atmosphere was relaxed and like a chill hang out spot. Definitely go if you are in town!
