One of the best and most affordable meals were here in Waikiki. The beef is cooked to order and the vegetables were very fresh also. Small seating area outside is available, though can be quite hot in the afternoon.

Steak plates are great! An upgraded version of traditional Hawaiian plate with steak cooked fresh to your liking. Prices are reasonable for Waikiki. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is that they don't accept credit cards. I tried to stop after a long run and I had my room key and a CC, and I had to miss it that night.

By far the best place to grab food in Hawaii so far. It’s not pretentious, it’s literally a shack that does steak....but boy does it do it well! And you get a nice little salad with rice. Highly recommend for a healthy bite to eat :D

We stopped by the Steak Shack during our first visit to Honolulu. The building is quite small so it would be easy to miss. I ordered the regular steak 6 ounce dinner. It was fantastic. The steak strips were tender and delicious. The rice cooked perfectly. The green salad was the perfect compliment. The dinner is served in cardboard take out boxes so you can eat right there on the beach. Wonderful!

I’ve been in the Waikiki area for two weeks now and have made it a mission to try as many places in the area that I could before leaving. Of all the places, very few had a decent amount of food (and good flavor) for the price paid. This place was one of those and did not disappoint! I got the combo plate (chicken and steak) which I highly recommend so you can have both. It’s also right on the beach so the location is very convenient.

Walked up to the shack and it smelled like used car tires for some unusual reason. The female that helped me was very rude. I asked her for some sauce and she said you have enough already. I had no sauce in my plate whatsoever but I really didn't want to continue talking to her so I left immediately. Id never consider going back to this shack again. The food was rubbery and tasted like cheap meat.

Good value. I had the chicken and steak combo for 13.75 (no drink). The steak pieces tasted a little better to me than the chicken, but the chicken was still OK. Next time I'd get all steak :) Both were cut into pieces so you don't have to try and cut them with a plastic fork. Outside seating only with an ocean view as shown.

Well, it's quite literally a shack attached to the hotel. They serve a pretty standard local steak plate with tossed greens and rice. The steak is bbqed and seasoned well. The chicken was tender and tasty. There is a small amount of seats along the railing or you can walk down to one of the tables along the beach. Be warned, its cash only. Theres an atm in the gift shop in the hall to the right of the shack.

Based on the reviews I read, I was expecting better food. The chicken had good flavor but the steak was a bit tough and bland. It honestly is just ok. I ordered the chicken/steak combo and my portion of meat was less than my son's order of chicken, except mine was $4 more. My advice is stick with one meat and you'll get as much as the combo.

This is my go to place everytime I want a quick and inexpensive meal when I am near Waikiki Beach. Excellent quality meat and good prices. Small little shack right off the beach near Subway. Steak and/or chicken meals come with rice and a spring mix salad with your choice of dressing. Thumbs up!

Came here based on reviews and we were not disappointed. One of our best meals in Hawaii and great value too. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Love the simplicity of salad and rice. I don't think you can get a steak dinner for 3 people for $39 and a view. It's cash only do come prepared. If you park off Kalia Rd walk the path next to the Army museum and look left at the end of the walkway. There's actually a Subway sign hanging next to the Steak Shack. You don't want to miss it!

After several days in Waikiki. This has become my go to place. They are the best bang for your buck in Waikiki. This place doesn't have that many things on the menu, but what they do have is done to perfection. They serve either/or grilled steak and chicken on a bed of rice with a side salad. This might not sound exciting, but the seasoning on the food is on point and grilled with a perfect char. By placing the meat on the rice, it is able to absorb all the wonderful meat flavors, just enhancing it that much more. The greens are a typical spring mix and come with a side of dressing. The price per person can vary but for under $20 you can feed even the hungriest NFL player or a couple of people. The staff are also very friendly and are more than happy to make recommendations. The views from here are world class, and there is even covered seating nearby. Overall this is must try if you are visiting Waikiki.

Ordered the 6oz. Steak plate. It comes with rice and a green salad. The steak was cooked exactly to order and had a very good flavor. I recommend drizzling the teriyaki sauce over your steak and rice. A very good lunch for less than $10! We sat and enjoyed the people watching and beach views.

Great Meals at Great Prices!! During our 10 days in Honolulu we ate here twice -- steak and steak and chicken were the selections. Both dinners were very tasty, very generous and less than $9 per person. Can't beat that in Waikiki. Watching the sunset from the Steak Shack patio is a bonus.
