As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is very positive, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the evaluation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is included in the category of American restaurant.
Had a great late lunch here! The burger and pork Sami were fantastic. Great service and local beers. A definite return visit for lunch to try other things. Tucked out of the way so not too busy.
Corn Beef Benedict is where it's at! Awesome crew down at Shore Fyre!
The Corona and the Coca Cola was ice cold and delicious at 30c outside temperature! The food and service; sharing 1 of the stars above! The restaurant was almost empty but everything took time, was on the way in to pick up the drinks myself after a while, (but met him inside making them ready to serve), had to go inside to pick up utensils after the food was served... The medium rare 50/50 bacon beef burger was well done, dry and tasteless and they should look up in a cookbook how to make caramelized onion! The Raw onion gave taste to the meal! Cannot recommend this place if you want food!
Worst service ever! I came in, no one acknowledged me or seated me. A bunch of wait staff were just sitting around upstairs talking. I asked if there was anyone working. Someone seated me and took my drink order. There was only one other person in the restaurant, waited 15 minutes and still didn't have my drink. Waitress also never brought water. I finally just walked out. They obviously don't care about haoles in this establishment.
No wait time for this nice hidden gem. Kalua pork hash and Portuguese sausage omelette
Fresh and fast. A great hidden gem in Waikiki.
Food was only meh. I was excited to try it after all the hype it got on Yelp. It's not a cheap place to eat and they messed up my order (though they did fix it, even after I said not to worry about it). Plus one star for the service fix. Maybe I should have tried their popular Loco Moco instead.
We loved this small local restaurant that we ate here many times for breakfast. Located one block off the main drag so NO waiting in long lines to get in. Portions are generous. Food great. Service even better!
Good food and quite place.
Amazing food. Sensible portions.
The banana macadamia pancakes were delicious, with a side of poached eggs, and the service was on point. The coffee tasted a bit old but the alcoholic beverages seemed to be the star here for breakfast patrons.
I have no idea why this place isn't busier, I came here for breakfast two days in a row while on vacation and it was great both times. I had the kahlua pork benedict and the ahi tuna benedict and both were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was on point and food came out promptly. Can't recommend it enough!
Good food with a nice local atmosphere
Soooo good unique island food.
Food was great. Atmosphere is very light and relaxing. Indoor and outdoor seating a available
The staff were lovely, they gladly accommodated our group of 10. I greatly recommend the 50/50 Loco Moco. It was a perfect brunch food. Great patio
Well, we tried to eat here the first 15-20 min. Left because there was no host. After all other places had lines we decided to try again. This time there was a hostess. She was sweet... after about 20 min, someone finally asked if we had been helped. We say no of course. He takes our orders. Takes another 10 min to get our drinks, and about another 30 min to 45 min to get our food. Our appetizer and food came out at the same time. Food wasn't hot. My husbands soda tasted like the carbonation pump had been out for some time. I had to get the high chair myself. Only reason they have 2 stars, is because the food was pretty good, and the coconut mojito was delicious.
Horrible place. Ordered our food. Saw it setting for 15 minutes before she came over and said we have no potatoes for you. Messy. Birds pooping on tables flying in kitchen. Beware of this place.
Had a great late lunch here! The burger and pork Sami were fantastic. Great service and local beers. A definite return visit for lunch to try other things. Tucked out of the way so not too busy.
The food was tasted but portion size was way too small.
Leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, not what I expected based on the other reviews. Excellent location but bland food. Ordered the surf and turf, mashed potatoes had no flavor and steak was over cooked not only for me but for my wife and 2 kids. Shrimp was decent and pricing was okay. We landed here because everything else around had a long wait (Dukes 2 hour wait). My suggestion, for drinks good location a block over from the beach but should of hit Blue Ocean food truck next street over.
Slightly tight space but food was incredible.
Great staff and food have eaten here more then once in our stay
Why would you wait in line at eggs n things when this place is 2 minutes away? Lovely breakfast
Such a good place! Highly suggest the traditional eggs Benedict! Best I have Ever had! And drink wise try the Island Coconut Mojito!
We are staying about 500 feet and didn’t want to wait at Eggs and Things. After reading the reviews and telling the wife, we came over for breakfast. We had such a great experience that we came for lunch. My wife had the Poke Bowl and said it was the best she ever had. I had the Steak and Chicken with a salad and Shreyas insisted that I try the fried rice. Well played!!! What a great call. We’ll be eating here all week.
This is a place that a tourist can easily miss. Is located underneath a Mexican restaurant, and next to a surfboard rental. Plates are big, and the flavor is excellent. Our waitress was friendly, and they took care of us fast. All the cook staff are locals, which is a good indicator that the food is authentic Hawaiian. If you like coffe, order the Hawaiian Paradise, it will give you a great pick me up to start the day. I experienced my first breakfast plate with rice called "Loco Moco" it's a great combination of a hamburger patty on top of rice and onions, and surrounded by a tasty, but not overwhelmed bbq sauce. We also ordered the Corned beef hash. I could savour the crunchiness of the celery, and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Please stop by and check it out!
Ordered pulled pork burger and 29 min later, it comes out cole slaw on top of the pork which I asked to not be included. had it sent back and it came back plain. Sent it back to add sauce. Does it really take 29 minutes to deliver s burger ? Not recommended!!!
Nachos and loco moco were delicious and the staff were extremely courteous
Good food and friendly staff
This really should be zero stars. Was excited to try after all the flyers you hand out by the beach. Well can’t say if food was good cause we never got any. Not one person checked on our table. Within the 45 minutes we waited we saw 3 people come in after us, eat and leave. Will not return or recommend obviously.
Brian the bartender is the man. Awesome service, good convo and excellent food. Fast and affordable.
Love the food here! Also, the drinks are great! They have a Japanese menu too and they also tell you what drinks go with what food do that’s great!
The food isn’t bad but service is definitely lacking. It might be just with one waiter but it seems there is a lack of enthusiasm when you look at the staff. My water doesn’t get refilled. I never saw my waiter till I finished my meal and was drenched from the rain. I had to call another waiter for my cheque and get the heck outta there.
Food was good. Prices way higher then other local places, slow service. I Ate breakfast and Lunch Don’t eat breakfast here go to Eggs n things Lunch was ok.
casual atmosphere, but nothing special. benedicts and pancakes not so worthy of trying, coffee wasn’t tasty either. wouldn’t recommend this place for breakfast.
Meals were good.. Good taste.
Terrible service. Food is ok at best. The place wasn't even busy and there seemed to be some commotion going on between the aloof waitstaff and the cooks. Waitress stands over you while you tip, very strange. There's something a little off about these 5 star reviews...
Very good food. I had the 50/50 loco moco and it was delicious. The service was good, very friendly and fast. Definitely recommend this place.
Best eggs Benedict in Hawaii - and potentially the world! Way better than eggs n things which people raved about. Our server Omar went above and beyond for us making us feel at home and like we were lifelong friends. The prices are great and the variety is awesome. Will be sad to not have this place in Australia.
Sean was a great bartender! Loved the atmosphere. I got the shorefyre shrimp and it was the best.
Local dinner exelente
What a yummy place. Off the beaten path in Waikiki, so nice to get off the strip. Prices decent. Had a mimosa and the Kalua Pork Benedict with potatoes. So good. Totally worth the walk. The English muffin was grilled and still had an crunch, the kalua pork was subtle and savory, my poached egg was perfect. I could only finish one side, it was so much food. Totally recommend. Would have given 5 stars but there is only 1 bathroom, in the basement for 3 businesses. The waiter had to walk me up and out of the restaurant, around the back and into the basement to get to it. Inconvenient to get to the bathroom.
Foods okay. Nothing special.
Great location however errors made to order. Great location and friendly staff however when ordering we asked for a cooked egg as my wife was pregnant and we received a semi cooked/raw egg. When we asked for a new egg they took her existing plate with sausages and hash browns still on it and returned with just an egg. We ended up paying over $10 for just an egg in the end as they must’ve thrown the rest of the food away even though there was a decent amount of food remaining on the dish. Would not return as the care for customers is not as I expected.
Coffee definitely is something different much better than Starbucks
The food is so amazing. Best smokey bbq pork I have ever had in my life. Great breakfast selection. Try the mai tie or bloody mary with bacon. Also had the smoked pork wrap with egg and cheese a day later. So much food I could not clean my plate. Mahalo!
Food quality pretty low... Out of stock of the signature dishes at 10am... You can find much better places Staff : The usual American kindness, a bit fake though Ambience : very nice terrace
The best Loco Moco around! The meat patty was full of flavour and the gravy rich and delicious. I asked for a smaller size and got a mini which was perfect. Great service, great food, great vibe. Totally recommended.
I wish to share my story. This was the first time to Hawaii and I had just had major dental work done. It's not that easy to find something that I could eat but then many times when I get it, it's not cooked right, like being to hard and hurting my gums. Then Edmon comes into my life, the cook at the Koa Ave. location. He took my order and heard my story, he personally cooked my food for me and gave me service only royalty is used to. He was awesome, made sure every step of the way, everything was done to perfection and that I was satisfied. Shame this only let's me give him 5 stars, he deserves 10. Later in the week I went back and it was Zak T who waited on me, he was so cool. he also made sure my meal was to perfection. And many of the people who worked there, remembered me and asked how I was doing. That's a class act. I've been in management for over 40 years and this place has got to be one of the best if not the best places I have ever ate at before. It takes good management to have a place where the staff smile and even sing at times and who all seem to enjoy their work. Kudos. Thanks Edmon and Zak T. You are the best! James T
Nice, low key little bar/restaurant. Food was excellent, prices were reasonable for Honolulu. Server was attentive and on the ball.
What a great surprise! We were walking along the shoreline looking for breakfast and many places had lined out the door. A lady handed us a brochure advertising this place. Even with the address it is hard to see - it's underneath a Mexican restaurant. It's well worth finding - servers were very attentive, menu has a nice selection, food came fast. I had the corned beef hash and really enjoyed it. Need breakfast? Look here!
The best Loco Moco around! The meat patty was full of flavour and the gravy rich and delicious. I asked for a smaller size and got a mini which was perfect. Great service, great food, great vibe. Totally recommended.
Came for dinner. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere. Food is just not very good compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood.
We attempted to eat here. We were sat down and waited 20 minutes. In that time, other tables were sat and ordered. No one ever came to our table so we left and took our business elsewhere.
Quite expensive for very average food. Slow and average service. Edible but disappointing.
Only had a snack and a few beers but garlic fries were awesome. Service was great and beer was cold. That's all you need for a good experience!
Great food in a hella laid back atmosphere. Good portion size and great quality ingredients made this breakfast stop well worth our time and $. We did hear 2 people have orders wrong but ours was perfect and as ordered. The staff had the classic Hawaii hospitality. (Local Boy ftw)
We were earned the bartender was also a working as a waiter that day. The bartender was very nice even though he was pretty busy. The pork was great, and their drinks kept us cool.
Wonderful service, beautiful view. Really enjoyed the acia bowl, although they were lacking on the vegan and vegetarian options.
Get the mashed potatoes. I don't even care what else you're ordering. Get the mashed potatoes. Oh yeah, the atmosphere was great too. But again. Mashed potatoes.
Great atmosphere. Well priced. Food was awesome!
We had the 50-50 burger and the Loco Loco. Food and service were great! For those two entrees, 2 side salads and one beer, it was $60 with tip. Just a small, casual and unpretentious place with good food!
Great service, great food. It's become my go-to place.
Food was good. Service was very slow/not the best and prices are very high. 55 dollars for two people for breakfast was steep.
Amazing food, we had a table for 6 outside and all tried sokething different and everything was so good. Best Loco Moco I haf my whole trip, and best eggs Benedict I ever had! The waitor was so chill and friendly! Highly recommended

Went here because someone was hanging out pamphlets and the breakfast looked really good on it. The omelet was basic and the pancake tasted like the batter(not cooked all the way) the service was so bad are waiter was messing around inside with another waitress so took forever to get are the check. He only checked on us when he brought the food, and with the bad pancake I barely ate all he did for me was a $1.50 off. Just sad!!
Thank you Lori and Raquelle for the great service very friendly excellent atmosphere. The food was delicious i for sure will be back for the Kalua pork sandwich and garlic fries again soooo good. Thank you to the Shorefyre family
Nice, low key little bar/restaurant. Food was excellent, prices were reasonable for Honolulu. Server was attentive and on the ball.
Got the koa chicken it was sooo good. Whatever the cook made it in tasted amazing. The coconut rice was also really good. Got a perfect amount of food. Friend didn’t like the mashed potatoes because the had a lot of sour cream in them. Probably wouldn’t recommend getting that. The lemonade is to die for! Shrimp is also yummy! Cook is very nice.
Dive/surfer restaurant bar that serves good food and good vibes.
Pretty calm spot late at night, with a special of a shot and a beer for $6 total. Hard to beat. Plus, Sean is a good dude and a very good bartender. Cheers.
It took us 45 minutes to get our food, plus it was cold when we got it. Subpar taste and we had to wait a long time to get a refill. The place wasn't even busy! I hope they were having and off day but it was below average!
Very fast and delicious food. Tried on last day on the island and wish we would have done it sooner! I got the Tropical Golden Waffle and my partner got the Eggs and potatoes. Both had high quality ingredients and were reasonably priced.
Breakfast was excellent! Great service and food!
Food and drinks are delicious. But service is slow. And it wasnt busy. I think our server was having a rough day. He tried to be happy but it he seemed distracted, as i f he may had alot going on besides work.
We ate here yesterday on our last day on the island thinking this would be a great way to end the trip but it turned into the worst place we'd eaten at. To begin, the $5 lattes were about 4-5oz (maybe 6oz if filled to the top but not likely because ours had a lot of foam -- and the cups are TINY). For reference, both Starbucks and Kona Coffee Purveyors were LESS expensive and had normal sizes (12-16oz). When we finished paying at the end of everything, our waitress offered to top us off with regular drip coffee, my partner accepted for himself, and he said it was the worst coffee he had ever tasted. (I tasted to see if he was exaggerating and he wasn't). As for the meal, we ordered the kalua pig benedicts and the loco moco before the other 2 tables next to us had been seated, and then we proceeded to wait until after they received their food first and were half way through before we got ours. We were seated inside so I could see the orders coming out of the kitchen and it looked like they served the loco moco we ordered to the table that came in after us, because my benedicts were sitting there for another 10+mins until they made another loco moco and then served us. The hollandaise sauce on my benedicts had dried out on top because it was just sitting there the whole time the other table finished their meal. To top that off, my partner's loco moco patty was burnt so severely he cut half of it off and didn't eat it. No one came to say anything about our food. Our waitress was oblivious even when the new loco moco was sitting waiting to be taken (and by the way, she was the one that served my partner's loco moco to the table that sat and ordered after us, so it wasn't that someone else made the mistake), and the guy who finally gave in and brought our plates for her because our waitress went to go do something else didn't apologize for the wait either. Honestly would never go back. For the $5 I should have gotten alcohol instead of coffee - silly me. (Hula Grill - on the beach with amazing views - was SOOO much better and might have even been cheaper). Major let down and regret for choosing this on our last day. We walked to Kona Coffee Purveyors to get another coffee and recoup before our flight.... really can't stress enough how much we wish we hadn't come here.
The food was AMAZING!! The service was.. meh, they forgot a lot of orders.. But the tastes, the way everything was cooked, MUAH it was ABSOLUTELY delicious.
Great food and our server Joseph was very helpful
Terrible service. Food took forever even though it was not busy. Eggs were uncooked, cold and still runny. Will not return.
Friendly staff and good food
First time in Hawaii. I consider myself a “foodie.” This place was UNBELIEVABLE! Food was SOOO good!!! Came here 3 days in a row for breakfast. LOVE IT!! The service was fantastic too.
Good atmosphere but kind of hidden. We wouldn't have known about it if there wasn't somebody on the street with a flyer. It's underneath the Mexican restaurant / bar. The service was extremely slow and the food was bland. The drinks were very good though.
Just confirming, this is a review on the Koa Ave branch in Waikiki, as I noticed some reviewers have been referring to different branches. Basically, food is overpriced and underwhelming for what you get. The venue isn’t even that appealing to make up for the prices - as it looks like a grubby hole as far as the outdoor seating area goes. Basically, we paid $47 for: -1 single plain French toast (we had to request for syrup) - 1 açai bowl (nice and refreshing, but overpriced) - 1 bacon and eggs and pan fried potatoes - 1 bottled ginger ale - 1 small glass of sour OJ ( which we stirred in 2 teaspoons of sugar) - 1 bland iced pineapple tea (which was neither sweet enough, nor had much of a pineapple or tea flavour). Additionally, I was astounded that the OJ and iced tea costed $6 and $6.50, respectively! You can get a decent cocktail for that price. Total tourist rip-off overall. I recommend going to nearby Denny’s anytime for a decent, simple and fairly priced feed. Sorry Shorefyre, I really don’t know what sure fire thing you have going for you!
Decent stop for a quick bite. Very casual. We were outside and it was raining off and on, but the restaurant is pretty well reinforced for weather so we weren't even affected. Food was not bad, but also not amazing. My mimosa was very strong (not saying that's a bad thing). Our server was nice as well.
Was recommended this place by a friend. We had the Loco Moco, and the ultimate scramble, which we both recommend. Coffee is great, and vibe is super chill.
Our very most favorite place to eat on the Island... the staff absolutely goes above and beyond, they are the greatest ... And the food ? THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR....Thank you to the whole morning staff that made it one of the most enjoyable experiences of a lifetime, YOU GUYS ROCK !!
Great food. Teriyaki chicken has a unique seasoning and grilled perfectly. My first Loco Moco was very flavourful and seasoned well. Slightly above average pricing but the food and service made up for it.
Went here for brunch. Food was yummy and service was fantastic!
Wonderful fruit granola, and yogurt/papaya. FAST delivery though slow to greet at table...great breakfast!
Decent food for reasonable price
Great food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere
We are in Hawaii for a week and have had breakfast here 5 out of 7 days of our trip. The staff is super friendly and everything we have ordered has been delicious! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend the banana caramel waffle or the banana macadamia nut pancakes with a tropical mimosas. If we ever come back to Oahu we will definitely return here. Thanks for helping make our Hawaiian experience awesome!
The food was amazing, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this place. The fact that it wasn't packed must only be because it is not on the main road, as the food was delicious!
Super over priced and a very snobby staff. The food was terrible too. I would never go back.
The most delicious burger I've ever tasted! Perfect Loco Moco!
Great food, service and prices.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Joseph could not have been more welcoming. The seated area outdoors was wonderfully shaded in the morning. Coffee was great and so was the food!
Good and service were great
Great vibe. Had nice happy hour mai tais and an açaí bowl to split perfect after a long day in the waves! This location is more casual, has a better ambiance, and less crowded than the international mall location. Friendly waiter too.
Enjoyed super fresh and naturally sweet papaya yogurt bowl, and my wife enjoyed her local boys omelette.
In my opinion, they had the best Loco Moco in the area.
Tried to eat here, but 40 minutes after ordering our food wasn't even started yet. Had to walk out and find food somewhere else even though there was no line.
AMAZING breakfast and ambiance! Our waiter Tui was super helpful and sweet. Not overpriced either. 10/10 would eat again.
Food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced! Coconut mojito is reeeeeally good! Joseph H was the best server I've had in a very long time; As a bar manager I really notice and appreciate great service! He gave us some great suggestions for our visit to North Shore also! Highly recommend this spot!
The Loco Moco was amazing and delicious. Huge portion. Great burger that half bacon, half beef. Amazing gravy. Fresh eggs. Delicious rice. It was so good!! It is a little spot on the corner with limited seating but it is amazing food. The service was also great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. We also had some delicious drinks. The coconut mojitos was delicious!! Freshing and tasty!
Waiter stands over you while you tip, very strange. They want you to give more tip.
This place has very large potions of decent breakfast food. The coffee was not very good, it was smoky, thin, expensive, and bitter. I couldn't finish the 16oz cup.
Great food and very friendly staff. Definitely reccomend the Loco Moco. Ask for a bit less salt though.
Best Loco Moco on Oahu! We tried several ones elsewhere and this one is the best! Tui our server the last trip visit was great as well! A++
Good service, good food. Small and quaint place. $5 fresh mimosas at the bar. It was good. Staff is great!
Breakfast - 50/50 locomoco. Half beef and half bacon. Must have. Could easily be shared. Belly buster
We really enjoyed this place. We went to breakfast twice in our week in Waikiki. The service was very friendly, helpful and engaging which made our experience very memorable. The food was good too. We had the omelet, the loco moco, and the banana pancakes and they were all pretty yummy. The price was so much more reasonable than the surrounding high price hotels and restaurants. There were more local people than tourists which was nice. The location is nothing special. They share a space with a surf shop and are downstairs, so it could be hard to see.
This place is great! Hidden away and not very busy but amazing! Best Kalua pork on the island and great staff.
Food was great, coffee was great, service was great. We will definitely go back.
We had Kei (sounds like Key) he did a great job and food was delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem
Service was slow nachos were horrible and expensive for not even having real cheese and after the meal felt sick
Good food
Was seated right away and everything seemed pretty great out of the gate. We ordered drinks and about 10 minutes later they arrived and we ordered our dinner. The dinner came out about 45 minutes later. My wife order pork tacos and specified soft shells, it came out with hard. We told our waitress of the error and all she said was “oh”. After being an hour in, we didn’t bother sending them back. I ordered the “surf and turf” medium done. My steak was brought out well done with no pink whatsoever. The shrimp ended up being peel and eat shrimp soaked in a greasy sauce. The sauce was actually not bad tasting, but after dissecting the first shrimp my hands were soaked and the one napkin provided with my silverware was completely saturated. Definitely would not have ordered this if it mentioned anywhere on the menu that these were peel and eat. Overall our two drinks and meals came to over $75 with tip (which is awkwardly paid while the waitress stands there and watches what you select for a tip). This place overall made Applebee’s look like 5 star dining. I would never recommend this restaurant and will actively tell others visiting Waikiki to avoid this.
This was the best breakfast of my life! 50/50 loco Moco tucked me into a bed of rice with a meat and eggs comforter. The staff woke me up when it was done. I'm so happy right now!
Excellent food. Will eat here again while we are here. Server Terel was great.
Best waffles and fresh fruit combo
Actually I would give this place 10 out of 5 stars... That's how great the food and service were.
We went for breakfast 3 times reasonable price and 1st two times great service and food was good. 3rd time our waiter was on something or just not there completely opposite experience for us all.
Was recommended this place by a friend. We had the Loco Moco, and the ultimate scramble, which we both recommend. Coffee is great, and vibe is super chill.
Relaxed vibe. The food was decent and the drinks stiff. They're open late which made me happy!
This was our favorite meal on the island! We shared the banana macadamia nut pancakes and the kalua pork breakfast burrito. Both were absolutely incredible! The wait staff and manager were also very friendly. We had a perfect experience!
At the recommendation of a friend, I decided to give this unassuming restaurant a try for breakfast. I had the kalua pork hash and it was delicious. The coffee was tepid, but it was a hot day outside so I guess that was a good thing.
Killer loco Moco. Great staff.
Awesome food an friendly staff
Relaxed vibe. The food was decent and the drinks stiff. They're open late which made me happy!
Great local feeling joint, small and easy to miss. A guy on the street passing out flyers talked us into going here instead of the more popular eggs and things. Glad he did! You can get LoccoMocco here and it's so good! Very heavy but you won't be hungry for hours. The omelettes are really good too. They also have really good Bloody Marys which you can get with bacon. Not too expensive compared to other local options. I highly recommend, it's not the best looking place, but you'll love the service and food!
Great breakfast place, friendly staff. Everything taste amazing. Good luck getting just one item!
Best breakfast in Waikiki! Great service!
Great food at a good price. Close to the beach too. Good service. Solid dining choice for the area
This was our favorite meal on the island! We shared the banana macadamia nut pancakes and the kalua pork breakfast burrito. Both were absolutely incredible! The wait staff and manager were also very friendly. We had a perfect experience!
Most of these reviews are paid companies to put good reviews to make it look like a nice restaurant. But the real truth of this place is how unclean, and poorly managed. I was seated outside and got my drinks pretty quick. But my glass was served with lipstick on the outer part of it. It was not that bad, but it was to show that their cleaning effort was not good. About 45min later my food was still not at my table. So I decided to ask a worker for the manger, then I saw my food was coming out. I had my little sister with me and her eggs were not cooked the way they were supposed to be. So the waiter told the cheif to fix it so he got it with his bare hands and mushed it around and put it back. So that was the end of that restaurant. Edit: Went there 2 days ago and waited 1h and 30min... Food never came so I left.
Great Food, lovely presentation, good drinks .... Wonderful service!!
This place is great! Hole in the wall with amazing food, drinks and service. Thank you Angel!
Birds coming in and out of the kitchen and indoor dining area pose sanitary questions, and the service was pretty slow but super friendly. However, the food was AMAZING. I ordered the poke bowl, and my kiddo ordered a create your own quesadilla. Both were delicious, as was the pear italian soda.
Delicious food and chill atmosphere. 50/50 Loco Moco and Koa Chicken
A little difficult to see from the street. It's located below a Mexican restaurant. The menu is what seems to be authentic Hawaiian (I'm not from Hawaii so I can't definitively say). Breakfast was wonderful. I had the Local Boy omelet with Linguica sausage. Terrific. The service was extremely friendly. I mean, some of the best service I've ever had. All the employees, stopped to say hello and offer help or just chat. We went to their other store a couple of days later, and we were recognized by the server from our first visit and he stopped to say hello. The next night another server at The Top of Waikiki (who also works at ShoreFyre) recognized us and said hello. The vibe at the Koa Ave store is pleasantly laid back. Service though was quick and efficient. Food was wonderful. No parking that I could see was available, but the restaurant is only a block or two off the main drag. Prices were very reasonable.
Great breakfast and very friendly staff. The hardest part is picking just one thing from the menu. Unlike many places, the food looks as good in person as on the menu... And tastes as good as it looks!
The Moco loco was bomb ... I highly recommend this place .
Great breakfast and friendliest, sweetest wait staff on the island!
Great food and reasonable prices. So glad we stopped here on the walk back from the beach. The garlic shrimp and poke were amazing.
Love this place. Great hole-in-the-wall.
Was really looking forward to taking my family to this place after reading reviews and looking at their menu. Unfortunately probably the worst dining experience we had the whole trip. We went today around 12:30 and found it half empty and thinking ourselves lucky went ahead and had a seat outside. It took between 5-10 minutes before our server Omar came by our table and another 10 minutes before we all got our drinks and our food arrived at the same time. No one came back by our table for refills, 2 bite/2 minute check back (yeah 10 years in serving and bartending here), or for anything else. Finally when we saw Omar again asked for the check and left. As for the food it was not bad, ordered a children's Moco for our daughter which was actually rather good and my wife and I shared the Koa Chicken (which I was excited for but rather disappointed in). My recommendation if it looks like something you would like give it try but be prepared to sit at the bar or just be willing to become obnoxious if needed to get some kind of service.
Not an extensive menu, heavy on steaks and seafood. Their surf and turf is excellent and their loco moco is great. Prices very reasonable for Waikiki. Only downside is no draft beer....
We had our breakfast here and liked everything we ordered.
The loco moco was outstanding! The best fried rice! We had it multiple times. The staff extremely helpful and fun crowd. Will make it a point to go back
Poke Tacos are amazing! Stopped in again and had the Loco Moco. Amazing flavor and very filling!
If you like salt and velveeta cheese this is the place for you... the food was terrible and very expensive!
Service was unexpectedly slow given the sparse crowd on a Monday evening, but the poke bowl was good. Fair prices and a nice vibe, particularly the outdoor dining area.
Great service and breakfast. We were seated immediately and were served promptly. Definitely recommend.
I had the corned beef eggs benedict and my wife had the French toast. The benedict was good. But the French toast were too thick therefore tasted too breadlike (well we know why:). The staff are helpful and kind. Would recommend to anyone who wishes to. Grab a quick Bite before the beach.
Great place to sit down and relax with some drinks. Food is excellent.
Great breakfast, fresh squeezed orange juice. Very nice and helpful staff. I was in a hurry and they made sure to put a rush on my order so I could make my meeting.
Amazing food with quaint atmosphere
Great food & service
Service was a little slow, but after getting the food, all was well as it was a delicious breakfast.
Now this place is definitely worth the visit. The menu is perfect, service is friendly and the ambiance puts you in a good Hawaiian mood. Order the Bloody Marys for breakfast! They’re delicious.
By far the best food around and they have a friendly staff wish I would have went there sooner on my vacation. Recommend this place to everyone.
Very yummy food! The kalu pork sandwhich is a go to item here. The nachos as well are an entree and not an appetizer, but very yummy just the same. The prices are a bit steep, but very much worth it.
5 of us arrived after 10pm and after ordering off the late night menu was informed that most of what we wanted was “unavailable”. Hmmmmmm. Felt like we were rushed out of there. Even comped our drinks. Just wanted us out of there. Won’t be back. Did not feel welcome.
Fast, friendly and the food was great! Loco moco was amazing!!!!
A reasonable price for a NY steak n bbq chicken. But they need to work on the rice
