We waited over 20 min at our table...finally a manager came out and said our waiter was in the restroom. Gave us some appetizers in the house as we were going to leave. Then dude comes out and takes the food order and the food was about a 3 out of 10. They gave me a discount on the food which was nice but we would have preferred good service and decent food.

Food was good, but the atmosphere was undesirable. The carpet and high chair area smelt bad. Needs a good deep cleaning! The server was mediocre, the lady who brought our appetizers and meals gave us better service. And the first impression upon receiving the menu, I didn't want to touch it, it was filthy! Ruined evening. Went for a celebration but the food and service was terrible. Our meals got to us before our apitizers and my husband's meal was forgotten. The taste of the food was horrible, we literally couldn't wait to leave and go put something else in our mouths to get that nasty taste off our tongues. Will never go back, management is to blame according to the staff at this location. Worst place in town!!

Excellent service and atmosphere! We had the opportunity to try some of the New menu items, and really enjoyed everything. The Mocha Mud Pie and Carmela's Chicken were our favorites. The Ultimate Bellini was also really good, And had more alcohol in it than I expected which was awesome :-)

This dinner was great as far as the food was concerned. The service was scattered at best. Our drinks came out sporadically and my Pino nior came out nearly after the appetizer was done. Then came the main entree...I'm accustomed to having ng the person who brings out your food to ask if you want crushed pepper with the salad or parmesan with the pasta. It was essentially just dropped off without them asking if there was anything else we needed before leaving us at the table. No one was rude but did feel like everyone was rushing away from us. It was full and satisfied with the flavors of the food. But the service...sis!

Ate here on a Tuesday evening. The place was slow and the service was excellent. I ordered the chicken parmesan, which was delicious, although a little over cooked on the edges. The pasta sauce was over spiced, and I found it to be not palatable. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

Our server didn't want to come and go to the kitchen for our dishes. He waited until our whole dishes came out. Because of this, we could not eat HOT foods. And we waited for almost 1 hour. He tried to be kind to us, but we could feel his ignorance. I don't recommend this place.

Who comes to Hawaii and visits a chain restaurant over exploring local cuisine? Someone here on business and exhausted from the day. I had obviously visited this chain before, had always enjoyed my meal, and was in the mood for pasta. What I didn't expect was phenomenal service and fantastic food. I highly recommend this location. It's in a convenient location! Being at Ala Moana and lots of parking, so glad that my boss made this his second office..lol Food is great, staff is friendly and patient with such a big group. They also have a private room that can seat about 10.

I hadn’t been to the macaroni grill in a long time. I suggested some friends and I meet there for dinner since I wanted Italian. It has really gone down since I was last there. I won’t be back, but I doubt it will survive much longer anyway. It was odd that there were not many other customers there but didn’t think too much of it since it was a Tuesday. Server was over quickly and poured the olive oil. The bread was never brought to the table, so after about 10 minutes, I asked if we could have some and we were told it should be ready shortly. I wanted lasagna but when I saw it was $17, I opted for pizza. About 30 min after orders were placed we started to think it was taking a while to get food, especially since it was so empty. Server comes to tell us it’s taking extra time because they don’t use gas grills for the pizzas and it takes a while to make the fire for them. 3 orders come out (2 pizzas and a salad) and we are told the pasta will be out soon. We were thinking she just needed to walk over and pick it up. No, it was definitely not ready. Call server over and she starts to explain that there are two kitchens, and... my friend cuts her off. The excuse for the wait was the pizzas, so pasta should be ready. Manager comes over with the pasta dish, apologizes and puts the dish down. My friend sees and shows the manager a hair in the dish. Manager says something like ‘are you serious’ and walks off with dish. Never comes back or says anything else. Friend tells server she doesn’t want her meal anymore. So, they comp her glass of wine and give others 20% off after some complaining. Our server was trying but didn’t have much to work with. Pizza was ok, not great. Other friends salad had wilted lettuce. Really disappointed in this place now. Sorry I suggested it.

So, it's February of 2019 and I've been coming here for over a decade. This place is exactly the same, except the music has changed and the menu has been revised. What is different, is the care that our server took, tonight, to make it a special experience. His name is Austin. He shines! Sometimes, you can actually find a diamond in the rough. Thanks Austin, for being fantastic and making our evening wonderful! First time, in over a decade, I've been amazed at how wonderful an experience can be at Macaroni's.

The closest macaroni grill to us is an hour and 15 minute drive, so it’s special to get to go. My husband first took me to this same location about 24 years ago. My go to meal is the chicken scallopini, and it’s always been delicious. Today’s meal was edible but not what I have come to expect. The sauce is usually on the bottom of the pasta and over the chicken cutlets with capers. Today the sauce was all mixed in the pasta (and it wasn’t light, more heavy like Alfredo). There were no mushrooms, 2 artichoke leaves and the prosciutto was tiny like bacon bits. To me, why this has always been so good, is that you have all the flavors with this light lemony butter sauce. For $17.50 it was disappointing. If i ever go again, i probably won’t get my favorite meal. :(

Definitely not a place to go for a quick meal or an inexpensive one. The menu was filled with high-end Italian food, with a price to match. The interior decor was very nice. I felt under-dressed, but this was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect. The staff were very nice, and knowledgeable about the foods and wines. It's definitely not a place I will go to frequently, as the prices were very high, but it is definitely a nice place to go for a special occasion.

Beware... place had good ratings and we decided to try last weekend while shopping. Terrible! Firt impressions the place looks like it needs a deep cleaning.This was our 1st time (and last) at Macaroni Grill here or anywhere. I am not sure if at other MG establishments the server writes their name on the table, here they do. That should have been our first clue to walk out! We order appetizers and half of these came in less than 2 minutes, completely frozen. The rest, I had to ask the server if he remembered to place the order. These were brought in after the dinner was served stating "kitchen is moving faster than expected." Our complete food order came within 10 minutes of ordering and we ordered a lot, so we knew our food was definitely not fresh. We look at each other on the table, all thinking the same thing... this is odd! No one wanting to dig in. And so it was, when we attempted to put knife and fork into our plates we confirmed our suspicions. Food was so hard (especially the chicken parmesan) that we couldn't even cut it! The other plates were equally as bad. These were old items that they re-plated and served to us. We asked for the check and left without eating... no sense in sending it back. Our entire time in the restaurant from check-in to walk-out was 18 minutes, as you could tell there was no coming back from that. I did leave a tip to my server as I understand is not his/her fault the kitchen is so bad ... definitely will never be back.

Great service!!!.... when she was present. With many, actually, most..... no....99% of the restaurant was empty, it almost felt like a private event just for our group! And our server was incredibly friendly! But where was she? Was Romano's so short staffed this afternoon that she was stretched impossibly thin, and unable to match her smile with an attentive and engaging experience? No... service was just.... slow.... First off, wait is terrible! We waited around 45 minutes to be seated at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night; there were a plethora of open seats but no one was bussing tables. Tables sat dirty from the time we got there until we left, almost 2 hours later. Secondly, the service was some of the worst I've experienced. The management was a joke; they were walking around trying to look busy while employees stood around doing nothing. In addition, they served me a cracked glass. Not only a safety concern but it made a mess on the table. This place was not busy at all and yet the wait was atrocious. The food was pretty good to be fair, BUT not good enough to make up for the negative experience. I honestly can't believe I paid for that! EDIT: I forgot to mention in the original post the server never even brought us our starter bread! I worked in restaurants for over five years and I would never treat a guest so poorly and charge them for it.

Had reservations for party of 6. Excellent waithelp - Jerry. Very on top of things. All ordered various items on menu, each dish served was flavorful and filling. I had the the grilled salmon with risotto. Yum. At end of luncheon, Jerry sang Happy Birthday in ITALIAN to one of our party. Thank you Romano's for a great luncheon.

The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband's shrimp was overcooked. Outside of that, the food was excellent and everything i'd expect for what i paid. Matthew was our server and he was wonderful. He had a BUNCH of tables, & he was still rockin' it. I counted 5 at the peak, including a six top. I was super impressed by his service. The food took a little while to come out, but it was visibly busy, so I don't hold it against the restaurant. I ordered the catch of the day and it was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant was nearly empty. Could not get anyone to seat us. The poor man waiting on us was running all over the place. Other staff was standing around. Ordered salads and never got them. Our bill was 72.00 before tip! No salads and we drank water! Food wasn’t even that good. Don’t bother!

Absolutely disgusting. My meat balls were no better than Walmart already cooked meat something from the frozen food section. My wife eggplant parmesan was burnt and actually caused acute food poisoning. My children barely wanted to take more than 3 bites of their food. Service forgot to provide bread while we waited 50 minutes for our orders to be taken in a restaurant with a total of 5 patrons on a Saturday night. No wonder the place wasn't buzzing.

We walk in at 7pm on Wednesday. They had a spattering of people seated in this cavernous building with no one waiting for a table. I thought we would be seated fairly easily, but nope, we waited and waited and waited. Thirty minutes went by and they said they are working on getting a table. Meanwhile, there were open tables all over the place, but yet if you look just a little deeper, a little over half the tables were dirty all over the restaurant. They explained they didn't have a person to bus the tables and there would be more of wait. I still held my tongue and hung in there, thinking maybe I was being too gruff. In this situation, you would figure it would be all hands on deck to get the place straightened up, but nope. The staff spent a ton of time standing around talking to what I would guess was an employee in on her off day with her children, instead of cleaning up. To top it off, we had to listen to those children running around yelling, getting yelled at and knocking over bottles while were were in this seemingly endless holding pattern. We were finally seated after what seemed like forever, which turned out to be about 45 minutes. Then after we finally sat down and took a look at the menu. I was hit with the realization that this place is basically a more expensive, bad customer service version of Olive Garden. Maybe they think because they have a niche thing with honor system wine carafes and writing on the table paper with crayons, that this is enough justification for overpaying for pasta based food. Not to oversimplify, but I will anyway, they are essentially boiling water and pouring cheap wine for the most part it is not that difficult. Totally my fault for going there in the first place just to get the $15 back promotion that American Express was running. I had not been in to this particular restaurant in years and it was fine back then, lesson learned. I should read the GOOGLE and YELP! reviews before going anywhere. I am shocked with all the bad reviews that corporate hasn't come down on them to pick it up or better yet, just close the place. This restaurant was really a bad joke. For the prices they are charging for food, they have a long way to go to make it worth the horrible customer service. Don’t bother with this place, the staff obviously doesn't care anymore.

Awesome service from Jensen! I never realized meatballs could be moist on the inside. Must be the ricotta that made the spicy meatballs so good. The Brussel sprouts were so crispy and delicious. Not bitter at all. Best of all was the rosemary bread with pesto dip. First time I really enjoyed pesto. Very nice lunch overall.

We arrived around 7:20 tonight and were told there was a 10-15 min wait. For the 30 + minutes we waited, we watched the servers argue over who would wait on us, joke around with each other and cooking staff flip the bird at servers. The final straw was when a young male server protested loudly over "losing the argument".... When then walked out and next door to Chili's where they were happy to serve us. The unprofessionalism displayed lost our business from today forth.

I love the food and the ambiance. The bartender is awesome. Where they lost points is in the service. The servers are really great, HOWEVER--we had reservations at 8:15 and wasn't seated until 9:45. After about 20 people left. And no one even bothered to discuss the delay with us I do believe they were understaffed or poorly staffed. The breakdown seemed to be something that management should have foreseen (it was Valentine's day, of course they will be busy). So, overall, I really do recommend this place, but not if you are in a hurry or on a special occasion.

Chicken parmesan was overcooked pasta tasted like it had sat in water for an hour, service was slow, they forgot a dish and it took 15 mins to provide it and then didn't offer to take it off, we had to ask which felt wrong. The canned tomatoes we're not even flavorful and tasted like tin. Finally, their sweet tea bar had rotting lemons (brown mooshy ones). Did I mention the circle of gnats? Don't go here, you'd have better luck with Panera across the street.

Waited for over an hour for reservations and then they ran out of fettuccine noodles for the chicken alfredo. The staff had to stay past closing and while they were not a fault they were frustrated and it showed. The Hostess at the end was upbeat, relaxed and our waitress Courtney was excellent despite being there serving on Valentine's day. It was my date's first time there and she was disappointed and wrote this review. We were only offered an apology when it was clearly a management issue to overbook on Valentine's Day.

A friend and I dined in the restaurant Friday March 8th. We arrived early for our 6:15 reservation time. We were seated immediately and was offered a plastic covering for a dripping umbrella however, it never appeared. We sat and started going over the menu and after 20 minutes had to ask for our server. A family was seated next to our table who also voiced that they would like their server as well. At this point the restaurant was by no means full. Maybe diners at 10-15 tables. Our server was at our table within 5 minutes and pleasant and promptly took our drink order and delivered water, bread and our bar order within a reasonable amount of time. A few moments later our food order was taken and then another wait of about 30 minutes for our food. When it arrived my dish was mediocre warm but my friends was piping hot as I could see the steam rising. I didn’t dare send it back in fear that it would be even longer as now the restaurant was full. The food was delicious in flavor. The server returned close to the end of our meal to check on our food preparation which, as a former server, was a little late. There was no offer for dessert, just how we would like the check (1 or 2). After we had paid our bill and about to leave, another loaf of bread was brought to our table and we advised that we had not ordered it as we were leaving. Management needs to get a handle on service here or there will be many more complaints. Friday and Saturday should be staffed accordingly.

This place was terrible, this is the first review I have ever wrote. I ordered the mommas ricotta meatball spaghetti. First, it did not come with ricotta cheese. The meatballs were supposed to have 5-6 different meats and tasted like frozen Italian sausage. The meat sauce was watered down. I could find better pasta sauce at the gatti’s land buffet. Waiter was good but everything else was not. I will not be back probably ever.

Macaroni grill is struggling under new management. Lunch took an hour and half to arrive after ordering. The meals were bland and barely warm. Several basics were not available like bread, soup and basalmic dressing. Hopefully they'll get things figured out soon.

This was our first visit here and it was a great experience. What seemed to be quite high prices were soon justified by the unlimited supply of delicious italian bread before and during the meal. Delicious pasta devoured in a wonderful environment on tables bedekked with white table cloths! We'll be back.

We have dined here many times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Last night our visit was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was practically empty, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was okay, but not as flavorful as usual here. What was disturbing was how dirty the seating areas were. There were multiple staff standing around and they should have been cleaning the dining area. Dining in a noisy restaurant full of people enjoying their meal together is normal. We did not have this, as it was practically empty at 730pm, you would have expected quiet. The entire hour we were there, we had to listen to a cook using a metal mallet beating chicken nonstop. It was literally so distracting that we hurried to finish so we could leave. Management needs to supervise cleaning and discuss customer experience is the key to success in hospitality. I doubt seriously we will come back.

Macaroni Grill is a nice Italian chain that is a great choice if you want lots of good food. The helpings are always generous, with most dinner options designed for more than one person - so-called family style. We were there for lunch, and they only brought us the lunch specials after specifically asking for the lunch menu. You pay extra for the bread, but it was delicious. I had the two items lunch special, and my choices were sausage rigatoni and a bowl of clam chowder. It was the perfect size for lunch, and it cost about $13. The service was excellent and Sean took great care of us. I would recommend Macaroni Grill!

Absolutely love this place. Menu is awesome. My go to dish is the (fresh catch of the day - Ahi) I usually call first to inquire if that's on menu. Also love their brussel sprouts and bacon. Pretty much everything on menu is fantastic, and consistent whether dining in or take out. We usually like to order on our way to see the Friday night fireworks or dine in on the weekend. Staff is friendly and just a warm atmosphere. I strongly recommend visiting Ala Moana Macaroni Grill.

Had a 5pm reservation for two birthdays and arrangements for Happy Birthday to be sung in Italian. After sitting for 20 min had to twice ask for a server. Meals were not good. Barely warm. The chicken in my chicken scallopini had no color. We did receive many apologies and apps were comped. The apps were really small, guessing because they were comped. Server never brought up the birthdays and we were eager to leave so let it drop. We chose Macaroni Grill because it was child friendly and they could handle large groups. There are too many great restaurants in Louisville to make this mistake again.

Waited an Hour and 25 minutes and never got our dinner. Service has seriously declined in the past 2 years. This is my 3rd try where the service was bad. It's usually the kitchen having trouble getting orders out. Management was rude as well. No attempt to try to make us happy....we paid for the appetizer and left....there was a line of table complaints behind us.

Walked in carry out door and bar tender asked if he could help me and I said had a carry out so he told me the lady at the desk would help . Went to her and she said someone else would help me . I never got any help never seen anyone cooking any food n one ever came to help me SO I LEFT WITH NO FOOD . It was a 35.00 dollar order and no one came outside to see if I was waiting for my food. They were cleaning and no worries about the customer won't be back. Going to the come back inn .heard the foods better any way.

Half of my party had to take their food to-go because it had taken so long. And when it finally did come out it was cold and not good. The manager came out to apologize but offered us nothing for the inconvenience. I waited tables for seven years, so I know how it works; sometimes things happen that are outside of our control… But you compensate accordingly. I will never be back! There is no excuse for such a terrible experience!

If I could give zero Stars I would! Had a reservation Valentine's evening for 6 pm. Finally got to a table at 6:20 p.m. ordered drinks appetizers and dinner. Drinks, appetizer, and bread was delivered to the table somewhere around 7 p.m. Our dinner arrived at our table at 8:45 p.m. two of the three dishes ordered we're cold. We onsidered sending the food back but did not want to wait another hour for probably cold food again. We had considered leaving earlier but we knew that we might not be seated somewhere else because we did not have a reservation. The waitress made sure that water and bread consistently was brought to the table. There was one large table that actually complained so much that they got their food before we did. We were seated before they were seated. My friends meal was so cold that she did not eat very much of it. My husband's steak was very cold and I am sure it had been sitting for a while in the kitchen. We paid our $102.00 bill. On the way out of the restaurant asked to speak with the manager. She came over, I told her we understood they were very busy. I also I knew it would be crowded on this evening. But I asked why was the restaurant not prepared for the onslaught. She mumbled I am sorry. I suggested there should be some compensation for this horrible evening . She asked if we had paid our bill. I said yes and she just looked at us like we're done here. We walked out never to return because of the way that we were treated. We have eaten at this restaurant many times and sometimes they're very busy but we have never waited for a meal for 1 hour and 45 minutes. If this restaurant was no more prepared for this Valentine's evening then this manager should be let go. Having been in the restaurant business myself for 15 years I cannot understand this problem that this restaurant had. It was my friend's first time there and she said she will never return. My husband and I probably will not either. it was very frustrating and expensive for such a horrible meal that we could not complain about at the time of the delivery of our food. While waiting for our food we so many diners leaving without having had dinner.

Food was only decent this time and family had 3 separate entrees plus appetizers and tea. Bruschetta good, tea excellent but chicken scallopine had chicken slices too thin, Pasta Milano with limited flavor and bread spice oversalted. Service slow and waitress not attentive. Expressed urgency to leave after an hour for concert but unable to get her. Finally had to bother multiple other to pay the check. Something service-wise is missing at this restaurant. Won't be back to this one. FYI that restrooms decor not in any way matching with dining area.

We had the best waiter ever! He took care of five old, "special-needs" folks, two of whom were celebrating birthdays with great aplomb and good cheer. My Prosecco came tepid and he immediately whisked it away and brought me a properly chilled glass. We ordered food to come in a particular order, bread without garlic butter, fish with no oil, salad with dressing on the side, diced fried potatoes instead of pasta and sorbet instead of their usual complimentary dessert. He got our order 100% correct and without giving anyone attitude about all the substitutions. We were enjoying a leisure meal. He checked back with us to see if we needed anything and was attentive without being intrusive. We spent almost two hours dining. We never felt rushed The food was good, the prices are moderate and it is our "go to" place for our group to get together to celebrate or just hang out.

One of the worst dinner experiences of my life. My mom requested Mother's Day dinner and I made a reservation. We arrived 5 minutes early and it took over 15 minutes to get seated and then another 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. Another 10 minutes before we got water and placed our order. The food took 30 minutes and both of our orders were wrong. 25 minutes later we received their 2nd attempt at our simple orders and they were both still wrong. We ended up getting our entrees compensated but we will never be back. The comedy of errors never ended.

For starters my wife and I love going out to eat and do so often. We love Macaroni Grill in general ~ We even enjoy tipping 20+ % to our servers. We are visiting Kentucky drove 1 hour to come here. I read some of the poor reviews before we went and said to myself maybe they just were short staffed and such. I don’t typically write reviews but there was nothing good at this establishment from the poor tasting food, the rude service from the waitress , the list could go on and on, it was 6pm on a Tuesday night there were about 10 parties max in the entire restaurant. The way every aspect of this business is run is just horrible. Definitely will never return.

First let me start by saying I did not have poor customer service, the servers were pretty good, I came in on a Wednesday at almost 3, however it took 20 minutes to get this little plate of spaghetti with two-and-a-half meatballs ( one appeared to have a bite out of it, probably just fell apart but that's what it looked like) there were only three other customers.... I was so disappointed at the taste of the spaghetti because I've anticipated eating here for some time, and unfortunately, I could have probably gotten around the same quality across the street at Fazoli's

Very friendly staff. Clean, although the bathroom needed some attention. Our server seemed attentive enough. We ordered an appetizer of cheese and crackers,but when the app came there was no cheese. We also ordered bottomless soup and salad. Both soups were cold. Mine was replaced,but not right away. After eating mine I ordered another bowl of soup... never came at all. Only had one chef i felt bad for the gentleman. 7 waiters with a total of 8 tables dining but some how our waitress was overwhelmed (if anything the chef was) She forgot some of our food items on the hot plate and blammed the chef. It took us 10 mins just to get to go boxes. You could tell management was absent.. Well i hope it was because it was bad. Get more kitchen staff and train your waiters and waitresses time management and team work.

On mother's day, these people were very rude. Would not seat my family. We attempted to reserve a table and was told on the phone, in a nasty make, that it was not going to happen. Went to the restaurant and was turned away, stating that they were fill. Looked and seen at least 15 tables open. Asked to speak with Management, refused to appear. Went next door to Chili's and the restaurant immediately seated us. Awful experience.

I went with a group for a celebration dinner. The best part of this experience was that the large dining room has a nice nook for groups. Windows behind us and off set from main area. This gave us some privacy for the party. Service was average and it seemed to take a long time to get our food out even though the restaurant did not seem crowded. Food (pasta, pizza, apps) we're what you expect from a chain- average. $13 for a glass of Riesling seemed high. Good thing was there we're offerings for the 2 vegans in the group. They really liked the ratatouille with polenta. All in all a nice evening.

It's always been a delightful place, but this time many signature items that I remember were unkempt. The table cloth, which used to be a beautiful display of the servers artistic abilities, was folded up and tucked unceremoniously around many tables. There used to be caramelized garlic in the dipping oil for the bread on your table. Not this time. The appetizers and entree's were delicious and the cheesecake is some of the best in the area. Go on the weekend and brave the crowd for better service.

Bad experience. Waited 10 minutes just to speak to host and get sat (the restaurant was nearly empty). First thing the server tells us is that are understaffed. We ordered wine and appetizer. 45 minutes passed and we still haven't recieved appetizer, nor had an opportunity to order our meal. Then I walked to find the manager, and told him we'd like our check. He blamed the wait on malfunctioning systems. Not sure which it was, but either way, Carrabas is right down the street and 100% better.

We like to take our family here because of the professional service, friendly atmosphere and good food. Today I did carry out for my husband and I. I waited on line for over five minutes for my order to be taken. I waited longer than the tine was given for me to pick up my food. It was not ready, the restaurant was almost empty. The two people that waited on me - on the phone and in the restaurant were courteous to me - but it was obvious there were issues going on. Neither really wanted to take care of me. It looked as though a power struggle was taking place. I hope things like this get cleared up. It has an affect on the restaurant’s reputation. Looking at the recent reviews it appears there is are management/service issues going on. We’ll give it time to get resolved before we return.

Sad decline in this once-wonderful restaurant. We ate here early last Friday evening, when the restaurant was not very crowded. We ordered cocktails, appetizers, salads, wine, and entrees. Our bourbon sours were the worst I've ever had from a bar. Just some bourbon thrown into some prefab sour mix with a few ice cubes, and no garnish at all. I would call it cynical. The apps were okay, although the spicy meatballs were 80% marinara with only three meatballs. The salads -- one mixed greens, one Caesar -- were made with brown and wilted lettuce, overly saturated in watery dressing, and no anchovies for the Caesar. One entree was described as roasted chicken with a side of pasta. It was listed under the chicken entrees, instead of under the pastas. I did not want to eat pasta, but was in the mood for chicken, so I ordered it, figuring I could ignore the pasta that came with the chicken. Imagine my surprise when a big plate of pasta arrived with just a few small pieces of chicken mixed in it! Why was that dish not listed under the pasta dishes? I complained, and asked to speak to the manager. The server went away for ten minutes, and returned to say that both managers were cooking and didn't have time to come to our table. She handed me a piece of paper and told me to go online when I got home, and I could register my reaction there. I said no thank you, that I would register my unhappiness where others can benefit from knowing about it. We won't return to Macaroni Grill again. It's a shame, because for years it was an acceptable place to have a casual dinner. This is the problem with chains. They are inconsistent, and it's hard to find managers who care. Obviously the managers at this "store" do not. On a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 3.

They get to keep this 1* for these brussel sprouts and that's about it. The dishes got turned back TWICE because they were dirty, the menus were disgustingly dirty with food, oil and hand prints all over them and once the server (Matthew) took our appetizer order, he completely forgot to come back and take our entree order. It was so dead in the place so there was no real reason for this and he didn't even bring out our food or appetizers. Not sure if he is new or just was having an off day, but we were not impressed at all. Also, when he explained things....it was like he didn't really know how to explain it himself so he explained it as written in the menu or by script...which irritated me when I ask for an honest opinion. I used to be a server and always gave honest opinions and what I tasted in the food. Just my 2¢ for this place.

Food was terrible and service was slow. Had to wait 45 mins from the time our order was placed with the server and waited 15 minutes for a $14 mimosa that tasted like pure orange juice. Three other tables in our area all received their food before our table and we ordered before them. Not a good experience. Plus, let me not forget, they have a B rating from the Health Dept and one of the dishes that was served to our table had a strand of hair in it and the manager literally had to go to Kroger and buy an avocado for the avocado toast. I predict this restaurant will be closed in 6 months or less.

What happened to this place? The last time we went there was hardly anyone there and we were quoted a 35 minute wait. Tonight we waited over 45 minutes for our entrees and finally just left without eating. Again, there was hardly any customers in the place. This used to be a pretty nice Italian restaurant we loved going to, but it’s obvious when you walk in now that something is just off. I’ll eat in an empty restaurant, that’s fine, but one cook is apparently not enough.

Things that I enjoyed about dining at this particular location: The food was good. Things that I did not enjoy about this particular location: We waited for 45 minutes even though most tables throughout the restaurant were empty. They had 3 large parties (of 17-26 each) which were obviously scheduled way in advance, but for some reason didn't have enough wait staff to deal with a typical Saturday night crowd. The men's restroom was in TERRIBLE shape. There was water all over the floor, almost no toilet paper in either of the stalls, no soap in one of the dispensers, and when I went in the first time no paper towels either. The little replaceable splash-guards in the urinals looked old and weren't white any more. I mentioned the restroom to the hostess and went again much later. Still water everywhere, still almost no toilet paper (1 stall had run out by this point) and still only 1 soap dispenser working BUT at least there were paper towels. Honestly my shoes were making that sticky sound as I walked out as if it was a hole in the wall gas station bathroom in the middle of nowhere. If I were them I would be completely embarrassed by how dirty that bathroom was. Perhaps if you go at a time where they have less business things would be less crazy but I don't recommend doing this to yourself on a busy night.

This is our Valentines Day dinner from Taco Bell. We had reservations at Macaroni Grill for 6:45, were not seated until 8:00. By 9, our order hadn’t been submitted to the kitchen. Gave up, paid for our drinks and left. Waiters and customers were completely screwed by short staff on bussers, waiters, kitchen and bar. Complete and total failure by management. Fire the GM and the Kitchen Manager. They deserve it. I’ll never darken your doorstep again, I’ll never recommend you again. I hope you close and have a painful bankruptcy that was well deserved.

It was disappointing. Usually they do a great job. It was Father’s Day and we were looking forward to a nice evening out. They were understaffed, it was as if they were surprised that people would actually eat out on Father’s Day. Their bartender, I don’t think, was the regular person that served drinks. I ordered an old fashion and it was not at all how they usually produce it. My second drink was a Makers Mark on the rocks. But it wasn’t Makers Mark that came in the glass! I don’t know what it was but it was definitely not a top shelf liquor. The meal I ordered, was Fruti de Mare. It claimed it had scallops in it. But there was only one scallop that was cut in the three pieces. I have to say that the best thing about the whole meal was the Caesar salad. We were very disappointed with our dining experience this time.

The forth meal arrived, the first two were done eating, the salad was ordered with chicken which it did not come out with. Had to be taken back. The last meal still hasn’t arrived the chicken was put on the salad and finally brought back. There was never cheese or pepper offer, had to as for cheese which the grater couldn’t be found. So when the spaghetti and meatballs was done being eaten cheese was offered. For what I don’t know,mind you everyone is done and the last meal has yet to arrive. When it finally does it is wrong which it was only an appetizer and a side salad. The side salad was never brought. The server was a complete joke. I at the end of the meal went to speak to the manger. Which took him forever to come the back. Didn’t really seem to concerned that the whole experience was a nightmare. This used to be our favorite place when we traveled to Louisville. I promise you I will never go back or recommend it to anyone. I wonder how they are still in business???

Today is February 20,2019! I walk in to pick up a go go order and not 1, not 2, but 3 people walk past me and say nothing! One of them is sitting at the bar and says nothing. I was wanting a drink from the bar while I waited...... whoever the lady is making my cosmopolitan proceeds to pull out her phone to find a recipe for my drink! Yaw better do better! This is so disappointing and unprofessional. I’m a General Manager for a fast food chain and my employees speak to everyone that crosses their path!!! Shame shame shame on yaw You don’t have an option to give 0 stars so i had to give a 1 but......... COME ON

Waitress was rude from the start to finish of our dining experience. The kicker is that she forgot to place our main order. Yes...the main reason you go to a restaurant is for the main course, not salads. After waiting 30 mins without the main course we were approached by another server to us. So, the waitress screwed up but was now ashamed to come tell us. Management finally reordered our main course and couped it, but this last experience of trying this restaurant after other bad experiences. Lost us for good.

First and last time there!! Waited for 10 min and was never greeted by a server. The hostess took our order.Manager came to apologize wanted to buy our di ner..that was not what we wanted we wanted service. Didn't do the free thing not our intention..server that finally came was rude and unfriendly..never will be back!!

would rate a zero but not am option. trying to celebrate birthday. awful time. waited over hour and half for food. was told several times food was on way but then kept being told they were out of food or it was frozen. food was cold when eventually came out and incorrect. was brought food that we did not order and expected to just eat it. asked for the manager several times and he hid in the kitchen and would not come out. terrible. never again

The service was horrific. Pasta was cold and hard appetizer was cold also. No sauce on the pasta. Wait 20 min for additional sauce.
