We had breakfast here Saturday morning-- food was good (had the acai bowl and kahalasadas) and service was good. I would give 4 stars for breakfast. The reason for the 3 stars is because of lack of service last night for dinner. The bread in the bread basket was burnt and hard, and aside from the wagyu ravioli (which was excellent), the other items we ordered were ok. However, service was very lacking. The waitress who took our order was ok, - the restaurant wasn't full and there were plenty of servers around but we didn't get any bread until 15-20 min after our order was taken and my rice that went with my entree came 10 min after my pork chop had been served. We went to the restaurant because of previous reviews. Sadly the service was extremely poor. Our initial waiter never returned and got confused who was serving us. The food was average at best. By far, this is the best place on Oahu for casual yet a five star Hawaii experience for breakfast, or lunch. Sitting in the open air setting, looking out at the ocean, blue sky and white sand beach, no Waikiki tourists, none of the hectic noise, this is definitely where paradise happens. My favorite dish is the Kahala Salad with pork belly+ lots of other yummy stuff. I think I’ve had it at least six times.

Great spot for sunset dinner away from the hustle and bustle of the Waikiki strip. Food tasted fresh and plenty of it, because it's a buffet!!!! Service from the valet to the servers was great! A bit pricey but worth it :)

Portions are too small / oddly disproportionate. We tried several things and noticed how few vegetables anything comes with. The beet / goat cheese salad had very little lettuce yet it had a huge block of cheese. Two of the other dishes came out w/ mostly rice and way too few veggies. I loaded up on bread, enjoyed the small salad and the salmon entree but ultimately left feeling hungry. This place has great potential w/ the location and the staff but they're screwing up the portions trying to be fancy or are cutting costs in the strangest ways.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 consecutive nights and have used this restaurant for daily buffet breakfast and periodic dinners. I would have to say that this restaurant is not up to the quality of the hotel, and it actually ruins the Kahala Hotel reputation. They are understaffed. At the breakfast, they frequently make guests wait in front of the restaurant even if the tables are available. They allow pigeons to wander around the dining area, which is not good for food safety. Dinner time, they sometimes forgot to ask for drinks and guests need to go to the kitchen area to call the server. I also have dined in Arancino restaurant on the same premise, and that is very good, so I highly recommend that if you dine in the hotel, avoid Plumeria Beach House. Pity that the location is perfect.

There is nothing not to like about this place especially if you like Margaritas. The bar staff was super friendly to the point they let us order fish tacos, which weren’t even on the menu. Everything at this place is really good and I highly recommend it and the scenery. I ordered the lobster, shrimp, and mussels plate and it was as good today as it was on my Honeymoon 10 years ago. This is a must go to place.
