We found this place while searching for something to eat that was close by, and I'm so glad we stopped by! The food was so reasonably priced and SO good. We ordered a poke bowl, pork and shrimp and spam fries, and I'm just sad I couldn't order more. When we get back to Oahu, definitely planning on going again and bringing my family and friends. The owner (at least, I think it was the owner) was so kind too! This was my favorite restaurant of the trip.

Amazing poke nachos! The wonton chips and so delicious and you get a generous amount of poke for the price! Also love the lumpia and kimchee fried rice. Coffee cheesecake was so good! Ate here 2 years apart and the food was just as amazing the second time. Service was also phenomenal - River was great! Highly recommend.

Locally owned sit down restaurant with a very friendly staff. My friend and I were fortunate to have conversation with the owner. This restaurant is loyal to its community and island by using as much local products as possible. The produce is fresh from local farmers, the beef and pork are from local farmers which are fresh slaughtered and purchased every few days, and the fish is purchased almost every day from the fisherman's market. The food is simply amazing! Locally grown burger, bulgogi spicy cucumber burger, homemade fries and ketchup... total juicy flavor burst with every bite of burger. The fries were good even when it cooled off to room temperature. I'm not a huge fan of ketchup, but this one I ate with the fries.. my burger was so flavorful it didn't need anything else. I have to go back and try lots of other things on the menu. Too bad we only have one stomach. We just missed out on the last piece of cheesecake with a strawberry li hing topping... omg... it looked so good! We ordered the ice cream and brownie as that's always yummy.

Small restaurant in the heart of Kapolei, Hawaii. This place will bring you flavors from the Philippines and Hawaii. Worth the ride if your coming from the east side. Lunch and dinner menus are completely different. Prices are good, the few beers on tap are quality. Enjoy this awesome small business here on the Island!

Local style flavors using local produce. What can I say go local!!! Flavors were on point!! Prices are reasonable. For 3 adults and 2 children 80 bucks. Only food and one beer. There was also live entertainment by a local artist. It was pretty busy, it was a Friday. We had a 20 minute wait but it was worth it. We got there at 8:30 so maybe if we got there earlier it might have been a longer wait. It is a great place to go eat and listen to live music.

Loved it! Tried the Poke Nachos, Garlic Shrimp, and Lumpia. Great place, went after 3pm, but before 5pm (Dinner hours). Not alot of room to sit, so if you have an opportunity to get a table, take it. They also have live music, Friday nights I think. Service was wonderful. The dessert I posted is part of their week rotation, picture shown is lemon curd cheesecake.

My family and I went on a Sunday evening. The place wasn't crowded and we got a nice table outside. The food was excellent! I had the ribeye steak, my wife had the pig nachos, and my daughter had the garlic chicken. Everything was delicious. I think what made it truly 5 stars was our server. Her name is Kris (Chris?). She was very attentive to me and my family and knew the menu very well. Based on what we were looking for, she provided excellent recommendations for dinner and for drinks. We will definitely have dinner there again.

If you’re the type of person that likes to remove the entire shell of your shrimp then this place is for you. Poke nachos were pretty good (which is why I’m giving 2 stars) but I just can’t get past the shrimp. One of them were so mushy I couldn’t even remove the shell and just tossed.

A wonderful but casual find in Kapolei near Ko’Lina. Service was helpful and friendly. Seemed like a locals spot. We had Uncle Norm’s Poke Nachos (recommended by waitress) which was a plateful of Poke with wonton chips. Also had Sunny’s shrimp. Both were fantastic and full of flavor.

Great service, really good food. They have live music when we went Saturday night which was cool, but also made it hard to have a conversation with friends. Wasn't very busy which makes me think not many people know about this spot.

My wife found this place on yelp and we are glad we ate here. We had garlic chicken salad (great flavor but a little spicy), spam fries and poke nachos. All were very tasty. We are going to try to make our own spam fries at home. Next time we go to Oahu we will eat here again.

When I get a poke craving in Hawaii, there are a lot of places that want to provide poke to me. But I always go to Plantation Tavern. I love their poke nachos. It best displays their fresh fish selection and their shoyu and spicy sauces are amazing.

Stopped in for lunch after a hike. Best poke nachos of my life! My friend got the garlic chicken which was also amazing. The service was quick and friendly as well. They have live music on certain nights. Bathrooms were clean.

Service is outstanding. Went on a Friday and they had a live guitarist who was pretty good! We got the garlic chicken, but didn't taste anything like garlic, kalbi ribs, it came with bean sprouts and siracha underneath! I think that completely ruined them. And they were over cooked, so they were really tough. Last we got the 3 kine musubi and the salmon was bomb. Definitely my favorite thing we got. Their rice comes with furiyaki on it just to give you a heads up if you don't like that.

Gave two stars because on google maps it’s labeled as American Food, we walked into this restaurant hoping for some good American/bar food and found it’s mostly Hawaiian food with a very limited selection. I personally love Hawaiian food and would not mind ordering something to at least try it but the people I was with wanted specifically American bar food and they didn’t find anything on the menu they would like to try, also very limited keiki menu, no healthy options. Might come back to try the poke one day.

Yah! So we poke'd out. One of us got the poke over rice. Another got it over salad. And the last of us got the nachos. All of it was really fresh and tasty. I loved the large pieces of fish. In California all of the pop-up Poke places have a high variability of tiny cubes of fish. This place was authentic in terms of quality of the fish and size of the cubes. Yum! The only reason why I gave them the 4 stars was that the rice was a bit hard (old?) and the table was a bit sticky. (but we decided to eat on the patio after our big hike so I guess that could have been why...table exposed to the elements) Poke no ka oi!

Our party of three visited on 21 Aug 2019 and found the food to be fantastic and service outstanding. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because I asked for extra garlic dipping sauce to go with my garlic chicken and it came out cold, which detracted from the hot chicken nuggets.

Average place with a OK food. The server was alright however another staff member not as friendly. They are assuming you know the restaurant policies. They charged us $9.00 for a soup although on the menu it said $7.00 and tip was already calculated although nowhere is stated it will be.

What a great local find! Fresh local flavors, not overwhelming, and such a light fare. Burger with the grilled pineapple was good. Not too sweet, still just and adds a good umami( though you know what it is). I had the sandwich was good as well. I substituted the baguette for the focaccia. Locality, it's in a shopping mall next to a Chinese restaurant. We almost missed it the first time

A hidden gem in the shopping center! Great drink menu and patio to sit outside. Had the fresh pork sandwich and it was to die for! Husband had the poke sandwich which was fresh and light. Chef came out and chatted with us. Definitely will be back when we are in town!

Edit: came back before leaving the island and now feel this is the best poke on the island. I had poke just about everyday and this is hands down the best and freshest. Love the half shoyu and half spicy setup.

Loved it. Farm to table style local joint all food items brought in locally. Plantation Tea was freaking amazing - iced tea, lemonade with fresh Dole pineapple juice. We got the Kalua Pork Nachos and they did not disappoint at all, the sriracha aioli and unagi sauces were such a delicious piece of the entree and the garlic chicken we also got had such a good flavor without being all “saucy”. Fun ambiance and staff is overly friendly. Highly recommend this joint!

Poke Nachos is a must here. Service could be better .... Location is small, employees could be more attentive at times. Food is made well from the kitchen, but ingredients are bought at Costco from what I can tell. I really never had a reason to complain here. I visit every few weeks.

Group of 3 people came in around 7pm. Most of the tables were full so we sat at the bar(20 min wait for table) we all ordered drinks and they were brought out fast. Ordered the poor nachos, pork belly pizza and kailua pork plate. Everything was excellent, though I would have called the pizza more of a flat bread. (Dough was soft). The bartender taking care of us was fantastic, would highly recommend eating here.

The food and drinks there was delicious. Even though the lunch menu is a bit small I was able to find something to eat that I never tried before. For lunch we had the Poke Nachos, Garlic Shrimp, Bulgogi burger, and cheesecake. The staff there were kind and a patient. I defiantly recommend trying this place out!

We stopped in here for a drink before going to the movies. The bartender was very friendly and helpful in recommending drinks for us to try. My husband sampled a beer before deciding to order it. I had a lovely concoction with cucumber that was very refreshing. We enjoyed our short time here and would definitely return next time we are in the area.

They have different lunch, happy hour, and dinner menus. I stopped by for lunch, but one of the employees explained the different menus to me and I decided to come back for dinner the next day instead. Don’t get me wrong, the lunch menu looked really good, but if you are looking for some of the local cuisine and specialties, you should probably come back for the dinner menu that starts at 5pm. Portions are large enough to be shared family style, so I got to try a little of everything. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Full bar, draft and bottled beer, wines and special house cocktails. Parking can be a bear in this strip center. They have plenty of four topper tables but you can’t push them together because of the layout of the place, so not great for groups of more than four or five people. If you go, you HAVE to try the Shrimp and Pork Lumpia Shanghai - I couldn’t stop going on and on about that appetizer! I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service - it was awesome and I owe it to the server who told me about the different menus when I stopped in for lunch. This place is a keeper. :)

Great food and staff. I would rate it 5 star if it weren't for the slow service: it took ages to cook our orders! A friend of mine had eaten there before and she said she had the same experience. Highly recommended if you have plenty of time to eat!

Plantation Tavern is a great place to go for local food and music. There's a large bar and several tables to enjoy a variety of meal options. I ordered the spicy ahi poke nachos. My husband ordered a burger. We were both refreshed by the mango mojito mocktail-yum (they had lots of cocktail options too)! But the pineapple upside down cake though! It was soft in the middle, with crispy edges, warmed to perfection and topped with pineapple gelato yumminess... it was my absolute favorite! While there, they accommodated parties of 2 to parties of 12 people. I'd recommend this place to anyone on the leeward side of Oahu.
