Tasty food and cocktails. The service here puts it over the top. Natasha was great, and hand wrote the recipe of the cocktail we were drinking so we could try it at home. Can't recommend enough!

Delicious food! Really, really incredible Kahlua pork and pineapple pizza that was next-level good. We did have a good 30-40 minute wait at dinner. The price is more than what you're used to seeing on the mainland, but not bad for Maui. It's a very open space, quite loud and a bit chaotic inside. The food was excellent though, and their happy hour specials are worth coming for as well.
Good food. Drinks were good as well. Can get busy so you may want to call ahead for reservations.
Excellent spot for food and the Mai Tai cocktails are an absolute must. Definitely one of the best ones I had while on the island! We went back for a second time even with all the other options around. Additionally, there's live music occasionally as well but it's not so loud that you have conversation still.
The Bulgogi Pork Tacos are a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Monkey Pod Mai Tai is a must have - the flavor profile is great, just make sure you mix in the foam after a taste to get the most out of it. The pizza is pretty good, even by New York standards. Our waitress was incredibly nice, and even gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. Can't recommended this place enough.
Food was great drinks were amazing and our server Natasha was fantastic and knowledgeable of both the food and drinks. Highly recommend
The food is amazing and so are the cocktails! If your in the Wailea region this is a must go place. We had the seared Ahi and mushroom gnocchi and both were incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked.
Service is AMAZING! The food is awesome and you can really tell it’s homemade. Definitely worth going!
Great food. A little expensive but the food was good and the cider was great.
Great food, great drinks. Lively place. A little pricey but it's Maui.
I travel to Maui for work twice a year and I always find time to have dinner at Monkeypod. The food, the drinks, the dessert, the atmosphere, and the service are all outstanding. Everyone who works there is friendly and attentive. I would 10/10 recommend.
My favorite meal in Maui, GET THE AHI!! One of the best meals I've had!!!
We loved the coconut pie; so much we had to go back a second night. Pork tacos were okay, nothing special, but the fish here is definitely the highlight. Always busy - so have a reservation in advance.
Amazing experience. The food is on the pricier side, but well worth it. Great selection and great service. If you cannot decide on which pie to get - go with the mango or strawberry. So good!
Food is delicious. Atmosphere very enjoyable. Staff friendly and courteous
Pricey. Biased as my daughter works at a Monkey Pod and big tickets = better tips allowing her to live her island dream.
What a treat! We went as a group of 4 for the happy hour, and we ordered from the appetizer menu. DON'T SKIP THE CORN CHOWDER! absolutely amazing corn chowder, great to dip the regular french fries in. Best Mai Tai cocktail on the island. Good pizza also.
Yamy food! I enjoy coming here as it is close to our place and it does gets crowded on evenings. Food is delicious and you can’t beat their happy hour prices. One less of a star for removing Mango Cart daft beer from their menu as it was the beer of choice for me.
Fabulous everything! Food was great. Staff was happy and took wonderful care of us, even went above and beyond when u mentioned I was diabetic!
Service great from John the bartender. Food and drink good but prices too high. Very skimpy on meat on pizza but tasty.
Stopped in around 3... Ended up being happy hour. Service was meh. Happy hour menu was a nice selection. Corn chowder was pretty good.
Must plan a dinner here if staying around Wailea area. Their farm-to-table offerings and the happy hour are very popular for a reason. Can’t go wrong with the Upcountry Special. The pie here is ginormous so make sure to have enough space for it!
Unique dining experience - was really enjoyed by the kids and the adults
Wonderful experience, would come here again and recommend it to everyone. Great vibes, kind staff and most importantly, delicious food !
Really nice place. The food is really delicious. Product are fresh and they are doing everything themselves (dough,noodle...). Save some room to have the coconut pie for dessert!
Great Happy Hour! We love going for their late night pizza special and of course their delicious strawberry cream pie! A must if you live here or are on vacation!
The Mai Tai's are amazing, but it's always crouded
Alright so, this place is very expensive. They have great appetizers, salads, drinks, and soups. Their fish tacos were pretty sad, but that's ok. The coconut pie is a must get it's so good. A note for vegetarians and vegans: this place is not for us, this is a carnivore and dairy consumers heaven.
Coming to Maui for a family vacation, we were told we had to try Monkey Pod. Little did we know there are multiple locations on multiple islands. When my mom made the reservation online it turns out it wasn't for the one in Wailea. When we got there they told us they don't take reservations for parties over 6 online so there's no way we could have made one. I blame Open Table for the mistake, mostly, but as a restaurant that allows people to make reservations online, this should be made clearer when making the reservation online! Anyway, they were able to accommodate us after waiting for a little and I'm glad we decided to stick around because even with the rough start, this place gets 5 stars. Our waiter was attentive right away and introduced himself. He was very personable and talked to us about the restaurant, the concept behind it, where the food comes from and what a Monkey Pod is. He was great at making recommendations and everything came out in a timely manner. As for the food. Wow! This was one of my favorite meals during my time in Hawaii. I got the ahi tacos to start and then the fish pasta. Both were amazing. I could taste how fresh everything was and there was so much fish in my pasta. No one at my table had one bad thing to say about this place and the food. I highly recommend it and it would be one of the first places I go back to if I'm ever in Wailea again.
Most ingredients are grown locally. Seafood is caught daily. Everything is fresh and delicious. Great service and atmosphere.
Good drinks. Nice happy hour. Food was pretty good, not great. Still a nice place though.
The food was amazing. Fresh, delcious. Everything made in house and fresh. Excellent service. Mai tai and the seared ahi tuna melt is a must try.
No visit to Maui is complete without a visit to Monkeypod. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and great happy hour deals. Thank you for consistently being outstanding!
Our bartender Dom was amazing, knew the menu, suggested the perfect food and drink. He was entertaining and super friendly.
Although a VERY busy restaurant, great - service, food, live music, atmosphere & drinks range make this a "must go to" place in Maui.
We came here for a late lunch. I had the chicken wings and the avocado and cucumber salad. Both were very good. I also enjoyed the nitro cold brew coffee. I noticed almost everyone comes here for the pizza. I love that they are locally sourced farm to table. The waiter was also super friendly. They have a huge staff so the orders come quick.
Sad I didn't eat here every day of our trip (only a few). Everything from the service to cocktails to food was out of this world. Highly recommend the Pod Thai cocktail and the coconut corn chowder....and everything else on the menu. Their house made ketchup and mustard is so tasty and we never had a bad meal here. Their happy hour is an amazing deal so if you're on a budget and want to beat the crowds, that's when I would recommend going!
Delicious food, outstanding service.
Great happy hour. Pizza is pretty good. Cocktails also worthwhile.
Nice place and food was great. Plan to spend some money. Happy hour starts at 3:30pm.
Excellent food with generous portions and their homemade dessert pies a must try.
As many others have mentioned, the poke taco appetizers were incredibly delicious. The tuna was so fresh and feels like it melts in your mouth like butter. The tuna melt is an entire tuna steak, seared perfectly, and placed in between two slices of crispy but not too hard slices of rye.
This is a five star if you go during happy hour. There are $10 dollar pizzas and half price appitizers. The food was pretty good, but i strongly recomend the garlic truffle fires appetizer. They were the best fries I ever tasted. Also the waiters were friendly.
Great food, great service, great cocktails. I ate instead of taking pictures. This bird hung out for a while. Get the strawberry creme pie, it's incredible.
I cannot say enough good things about the food here. Everything I tried here was insanely delicious. Try the pumpkin patch ravioli, and the corn chowder - you will die. Absolutely fantastic. The one thing that was merely mediocre was a strawberry banana Greek yogurt smoothie. Other than that everything blew my expectations right out of the water!
We were told by a local that this place has the best Mai Thais in Maui and they definitely lived up to the hype. Everything there is made from scratch and with local ingredients. You cannot beat this place's quality of food.
Great staff and delicious food.. south Maui ocean view is spectacular
Great food, very nice/upscale (and expensive) but still casual, and surprisingly very easy and welcoming of children. Good for a romantic date or a family meal. Live music too.
Very cool atmosphere. Menu has a large variety of foods. Staff was polite and food came out quick. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!
Best food we've had on Maui! Recommend you try the cream pie for dessert, best dessert I've had in a while. But all the food we had was great.
Nice staff, good music. Personally I didn't like the pizza, we had two types. Fish tacos were great. I'll go back for the ambiance.

Food and drinks are super tasty and are priced accordingly. Service is outstanding but it does get busy during popular hours. Reservations are highly recommended. Pro Tip: go for happy hour and your wallet will thank you.
Good vibes, great food, awesome bartenders/mixologists. It can take a loong time to get seated if you don't have a reservation. Otherwise, great place.
Food was delicious. The place is definitely worth trying. Chris our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for showing us a good time. Live music was also happening.
Amazing food and incredible service! Our bartender was friendly and didn't mind our kids at the bar.Happy Hour made it even better!
Excellent restaurant. Went here on our second to last night in Maui. Will be goi g back tomorrow night. Ahi Tuna is hands down, the best meal I have ever had! Highly recommend!!!
I’m torn on this review. The food was excellent — great farm to table — lovely cocktails. Staff and service was great. Ok, here’s my justification for a 3 star rating. The entire restaurant was over run by kids and parents that didn’t keep their kids in check. I don’t go out to eat to deal with other people’s screaming kids. And then there was the kid that just showed up at our table because the parents let him roam freely. There was no place to hide from the massive numbers of kids at this place — and the parents were not in a state of mind to control the situation. Not worth my time to ever go back or recommend— really terrible ambiance.
Good food and excellent service. They have the best mai tai's in the state (award-winning).
Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. It was really busy when visited, so I would recommend a reservation. We were proptly seated and our server was outstanding. The lobster and mushroom pizza and the 7oz filet mignon were both great. If you don't mind walking, it is actually a very short walk from the shopping mall and the Mariott. Would definitely come back
Very nice atmosphere, really loud inside better to sit outside. Worth the price of food and drinka
Service was great even though the entire restaurant was packed. Nice to see! Good food good drink and nice atmosphere.
Great service, food, quality and atmosphere. The place is very busy all the time despite being quite expensive....reservations are recommended because it seemed the walk in wait was close to an hour on a Saturday afternoon, even though it was around 4pm.....weekdays might be easier. We tried to reserve for 6 but availability was almost impossible so we went in smaller groups separately and that was easier to find a spot. But, it was definitely worth the experience of their delicious food & hand crafted drinks. Service by David was very good as well. Highly recommend it, check the menu online to see if it fits your budget though....after all, it is in Wailea and that likely adds at least 25% to anything ;o).
Best mai thai on the island. The foam does it foe me. Beyond that, the food was great. From the kiddie food to more grown up fare, its all great.
Horrible, if you want to be pushed around and feel like cattle I highly recommend
Wonderful food and great atmosphere. Second time we've visited and this time did not disappoint either. Made a reservation through OpenTable, which in hindsight was not needed because we went before 4. We made the reservation because last time we had a long wait - over an hour. The restaurant serves great tasting food and puts their own spin on a lot of their foods. You can definitely tell that there is a professional chef on staff. I'm giving this place 4 stars only for the following reason. If there is a hair fried into somebody's meal (I had the fish and chips), you comp or discount the meal. A must try is there strawberry cheesecake, it was probably one of the tastiest restaurant deserts we've ever had. Would definitely come back again.
Monkeypod was some of the best food we had on the island. Get a Mai Tai and the bulgolgi pork tacos, they will change your life for the better!
Loved it. Ate there 2 of the 4 nights we stayed on Wailea. Sat at the bar for dinner and the drinks were great, dinner was quick and the food was super good! Highly recommended!
This place is awesome. Super fresh ingredients on everything. Even the small details are given attention on every dish. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere with great food. The mai Tai was delicious. So was the mahi mahi sandwich. My wife had the potstickers which she also enjoyed. Live band was there playing some tunes to set the mood. Will definitely go back if I get to Maui again.
Its not by the beach like hula grill but it makes up with more space, cleaner restrooms and wonderful wait staff. On our solo visit we experienced wonderful service and the drinks(their signature mai tai) was excellent - worth all the money. I remember the dumplings being VERY good…overall the food and experience was very good and I wish we had enough days for a revisit.
The food was absolutely wonderful! Service was excellent and prompt. The Best part about the place is that everything is farm to table and brought in every morning. NO FREEZERS. I recommend trying the poke tacos if you have the chance.
Great views. Great service. Awesome menu. Their desserts are to die for. We had lilikoi pie, mongo-lychee sorbet, and Kona coffee gelato. But the bang for your buck is their happy hours 3-6pm and 9-11pm. Check out the menu I posted for happy hour. Get there early because you'll be waiting in line for a seat. Yummy!!!
Delicious food. Best deviled eggs I’ve ever had! Lobster and fish pasta was decent. Crab cakes were awesome. This place also had great live music, a man and woman duo, who you could tell take pride in their craft. Hotel Cali, Sultans of Swing, etc, complete with guitar solos and all (probably the most impressive part of dinner). Will definitely return!
Five star food and service. Excellent. Four star ambiance. Ambiance is where the four star comes in. It is very very casual and filled with screaming kids. Your waiter will be in a t-shirt and you may be sitting next to someone who just came from the ocean. Or a screaming kid. Or both. Came here for a nice anniversary dinner and while the food more than met that expectation (it was outstanding) we were over dressed and our expectations on the atmosphere were wrong. So this isn’t their fault and I would definitely come back, but it feels like you’re at the California pizza kitchen of Maui.
Definitely go for happy hour. Half price apps, $10 pizzas, and $5 off cocktails. The After Midnight drink was good, as were the Mushroom & White sauce pizza, Proletariat pizza and Kahlua pork & Jalapeno pizza. We also loved the fries and wings.
It's as good as the Koolina one on Oahu, good food, good service. The servers and bar tenders are awesome with good personality. They have a chefs table that you can watch them cook and make pizza right in front of you. The Mail Tai's are probably the best, the beer selection is good. The deserts are yum!
The pork, pineapple and jalapeño pizza was delicious as was the big eye tuna! The strawberry cream pie was like the lightest cheesecake I’ve ever had. Exceptional meal.
A bit pricey and limited menu but delicious and great service.
Cool place to eat. Excellent service, probably the best service I've ever experienced. Really friendly server who was entertaining and knew how to make the customers happy.
Lots of beer on draft. Best Mai Tai I have had(better than Mama's Fish House). We had lobster deviled eggs, bulgogi tacos, and kalua pork pizza. The tacos and pizza were amazing. Deviled eggs were good but could have gone without. Service was very good as well which has been the norm on Maui.
Best Mai Tai on Maui, hands down.
Really loved the atmosphere and buzz of this place. The seafood was excellent - we had white snapper and the Ahi. One of the best cooked pieces of tuna I have ever had. Great range of craft beers. The house Maitai is delicious. Thoroughly recommended.
Top shelf cocktails at well prices. Appetizers were good, service was great during a crowded happy hour. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.
Best MaiTai on Maui!! Appetizers were very good. Service was fast even though they were extremely busy.
Went for lunch and had a Great experience eating on the patio. Loved the pork Tacos and the signature Mai-tai. Our server Lindsey was very friendly, knowledgeable and always coming by asking if she could get us anything else. I will definitely be back for lunch and dinner.
As I went with the expectation that it was going to be amazing. It was not! While service was good, pulled pork sandwich very salty, burger was extremely dry.
This place is absolutely incredible. Mai tais are delicious and the service/atmosphere was amazing.
Great ambiance, we came in for dinner and the live music was nice. Great selection of cocktails and food.
Good drinks. Food is okay. Problem with late happy hour special but then find out the happy hour menu wasn't available, but rather just pizza. That wasn't okay, for the price tag tied to it...
The food is terrific here! The pineapple and pork pizza was amazing. We really enjoyed the fish tacos as well! Our server Natasha was great. We definitely will be back!
Great atmosphere and great happy hour. Very accommodating to families. Try the lobster deviled eggs and margarita pizza. Excellent wine list, too! Be sure to make reservations.
Great food but ambiance indoors is meh--really loud, lots of families/kids, feels like a sports bar. Need a reservation and ask to sit outside. The Mai Tai is good.
Monkeypod is always busy and they have 2 happy hours.....one from 3 to 5pm and 9 to 11pm you get discounted beer, wine and cocktails and half off most pizzas and appetizers! The food is wonderful too!
Great assortment of farm to table dishes. They do have a happy hour with drink specials and half priced appetizers. We tried the deviled eggs with lobster, pumpkin ravioli and wild mushroom potstickers.
I loved everything about Monkeypod. The prices werent too expensive. The cocktails were good and they had a good beer selection. The food itself was really good! The pizza we had was pretty good, but the star was the jalapeno mashed potatoes. They were amazing. We followed up our meal with the banana cream pie which was literally one of my favorite cream pies I've had. If you're staying around Wailea, would highly suggest this place!
Good food, interesting spin on a mai tai. First time having it with a whipped egg, pretty tasty!
I get truffle fries wherever I see them on the menu, and these here are by far the best I’ve ever had. In addition, their pulled pork sandwich, pork tacos (a little spicy), and tuna melt were all loved by my family. Their mission of sustainable, locally grown food makes this place even better. Definitely go.
A recent work trip to Maui took me to a hotel that was a 2 minute walk to this location. Being tired from the long flight, I skipped reviews and just went for it. I’m glad I did! There is a large parking lot in the rear of the location that accommodates nicely. Either an elevator or a set of stairs takes you to the entrance, on the rear, but the location actually faces the road. I went during happy hour so seating was very limited, but the hostess got a place at the chefs area, facing the kitchen, just opposite the bar. I was greeted by several waitresses, one giving me water, one stopping by to say hi and explain their happy hour and one to take my order...stellar service! The food was very good, the drinks were a welcome sight after the long flight and overall, I plan on bringing my family back on a return trip! Out of my almost week long stay in Maui, this was by far the best place I went to for food and service.
Great mai tais! Fast and friendly service. We had a couple appetizers including pizza and it was very good.
Went every day for happy hour. The best Mai Tai ever. I dream of going back some day.
Five star food and service. Excellent. Four star ambiance. Ambiance is where the four star comes in. It is very very casual and filled with screaming kids. Your waiter will be in a t-shirt and you may be sitting next to someone who just came from the ocean. Or a screaming kid. Or both. So this isn’t their fault and I would definitely come back, but it feels like you’re at the California pizza kitchen of Maui.
Nice place with food and fresh food. We had burgers and pizza paired with a local beer with very good service.
This place was amazing! We sat at the bar and had an amazing evening thanks to Rayel "RayRay" the FABULOUS bartender that took care of us. Her service and personality was stellar. The MaiTai and pork tacos were delicious. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant. We will definitely visit again while here in Maui!
Smelly, musty pretend-upscale dive bar in a strip mall. The “hosts” are utterly rude, disrespectful and ungracious from the get-go. Food passable. Not worth any detour; avoid.
The maitai was one of the best I've had in Maui. Super chill and casual vibe. Food was decent but a little too pricey for the quality but nothing to really complain about. Would go back again.
hostesses have a hard line to haul at the Merriman franchise. Make a reservation or plan on waiting hours while reservation are waited out. We waited 1:44 minutes and watched tables sit empty for extended times. Not a respectful group to the walk up customer. The hostess literally rubs in she told you she was not going seat you for the noted wait even though she has several (5 x 4tops) open for the entire wait. i went on open table and made a reservation while i waited and got seated. Crazy ugly Plenty of other great spots to get good service for coming in without a reservation. Happy hour after 9 is interesting but excludes the main appetizers of any value which means the rest are over valued to start. Find another spot where pleasant is not faked to suit there style.
We travel to Maui for Monkey Pod!!! Their drinks, food and staff are beyond exceptional - to the point of we even vote for them for best drinks and restaurant in HI come voting time(even though we live in AZ)!! OPEN TABLE! Make your reservation- it's a must. This place is so popular we make our reservations 2 weeks before for multiple nights when we go, not b/c you have to make them that early but b/c we are that excited to eat their food!
Great farm to table restaurant! Food was wonderful, we got fish (mahi mahi) and chips as well as the best Mai Thais on Maui with passion fruit foam. Followed up with a dessert of banana cream pie and raspberry, passion fruit sorbet. This place is on the higher end of price, but it was worth it!
Great food and excellent service. Very upbeat place for dinner.
This is the place that got me hooked on Shrubs! It's an amazing apple cider based non-alcoholic drink with all kinds of different fruit syrups. Their food is also divine! We went there 3 times in the week we were in Maui and everything we had was fantastic!
Food was good I gave a 5 star because quality was excellent but not my kind of place. We shared 3 pies between 6 people strawberry, banana & coconut! Pie was excellent!
Great service, popular place so it gets busy, happy hour deals are amazing
Eclectic menu, but everything is fantastic. Definitely save room for a slice of pie, it's delicious.
Great food and drinks. Definitely was a busy place but we were able to get right in and sit down in the bar area.
Attended a wedding luncheon for my niece. Great food and service! Didn't get any pie3, but it looked wonderful
Best Mai Tai's ever and the food and service are amazing!! Been back everyday on vacation.
Nice, casual gastro pub. Wait staff was excellent, food was en pointe. There was even a couple of guys playing live music.
A little more expensive than most restaurants but it's worth it! We went twice. You have to try their Mai Tai (rum drink). They're famous for theirs on Maui and I have to say they're amazing. Go for happy hour to save a few bucks! Try to get a seat on the patio if you can.
This place was okay, at best. I appreciate the live music, and our server was great but I was underwhelmed with my fish tacos. 3 tacos for $25. If they were the most amazing fish tacos, I could rationalize the cost. But my tacos were a snooze fest... absolutely flavorless and boring. The only redeeming quality was the fish was fresh. I enjoyed my date’s French fries more. My partners fish and chips was also okay.. can’t go too wrong there. I doubt I’d come back here again.
Love it! Being vegetarians, thought it would be tough to find food that caters to our dietary restrictions and with 2 kids - toddler and infant, it can be challenging. Monkeypod was amazing with a friendly service and helping us choose some of the veg dishes. We got the Pumpkin Ravioli with Pesto for the appetizer. I never thought anyone can make the pumpkin so yum!! We followed it with the Mushroom and Truffle Oil pizza with Gnocchi Mushroom. Gnocchi dish was totally different that what I was expecting. Different in a unique way! There was no sauce but the gnocchi was nicely browned and the mushroom, onions and goat cheese made it taste very good. But but but wait for it!!! The Mai Tai's were the absolute best!! After 1 drink, I felt I was in heaven, came back to the hotel and slept like a baby!!
So glad we made reservations in advance for Monkeypod Wailea. Our dinner was delicious and the band was fantastic! We sat on the deck and had an easy stroll back to our hotel after dinner!
Only had Mai Tai's and garlic truffle oil fries and I cannot wait to come back!! Wonderful decor and comfortable place. The service is top notch!
Amazing food, great service, relaxing atmosphere. We went for late night happy hour and sat at the bar. HH consisted of cocktails, wine, beer, appetizers, and pizza. It was a wonderful time! Highly recommend.
Service was great - the person serving us informed us that he was the bartender; he was very friendly and able to take all our orders right off the bat. Drinks were great. Food, for the most part was great. We had wings, fries and pot stickers that are worth trying. The pizza we had (it was a meat one - selected off the menu) was not great. We did go at happy hour and the pizza was cheap. Overall, I would recommend this establishment.
4 stars because Natasha was an amazing server. Food was good but be ready to empty out those pockets!
Great food, creative drinks and great service, big shout out to Dominic at the bar. Prices are on the high-side, but not unreasonable for the island. Would absolutely go back, especially for the appetizers and drinks.
Great first dinner in Kihei! I had the Saimin dish from MonkeyPod and it was incredibly flavorful. Very good broth to noodle ratio and the ambiance made it feel great! I would recommend this place as everyone at the table enjoyed their food!
Monkey pod is a great dining experience. The menu is well thought out and planned, the chefs do a great job with making each dish unique. They most certainly have the best mai tai on the island. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and I recommend that you make a reservation in advance.
The food and cocktails here were top notch. I highly recommend the fish tacos and truffle fries, and the Mai Tai.
Servers are wonderful here. Food is quite good. I really can't complain. I recommend having a nice dinner here, really. I assigned 4 stars in stead of 5 simply because the place sort of seems like it's trying to be a 5 star, expensive, fancy restaurant, but the food just isn't at that level to accommodate that. It's great for everyone - from people on dates to families with kids. The drinks aren't really worth the cost though. If you're looking for a fancy-feeling place while in/around Kihei/Waimea with solidly good food, definitely check this place out!
A little more expensive than most restaurants but it's worth it! We went twice. You have to try their Mai Tai (rum drink). They're famous for theirs on Maui and I have to say they're amazing. Go for happy hour to save a few bucks! Try to get a seat on the patio if you can.
Overall a great experience. There was a 40 minute wait, but what do you expect on a Saturday evening. Annie was our server and she was super nice, made great suggestions and was attentive. We had the fish special, lobster pizza, pot stickers, lobster deviled eggs and the fish sandwich. Everything was very tasty. We all enjoyed each of the dishes! Would love to come back for lunch when it's not so busy or loud.
We had our best dinner on Maui here. Everything was perfect - service, appetizers, main course, drinks, dessert. Jerry, our waiter, was very attentive, helpful and just a great guy. Surprisingly, prices are reasonable compared to other places we’ve been to on Maui.
Busy, but make a reservation. Go to late night happy hour after 9pm and the prices become super reasonable. Service was great and all the food was delicious. We shared everything.
Amazing food.awesome service. Happy hour is not bad either. $10 pizza and $5 off cocktail.
Food was good and the Mai Tai's excellent, plus it's open late. It was pretty crowded on a Wednesday night at 9pm though. Would recommend getting a reservation ahead of time
This place was okay, at best. Good food, but live guitar player was way to loud for a relaxing saturday afternoon...
Great food and very awesome service. Place is crowed and it's for those reasons.
Food and drinks were delicious and the service was fantastic. We went for dinner one night but there was an hour wait without a reservation, so we made reservations to come back the next night. My husband really loved their signature mai tai, and I enjoyed the selection of mocktails. The two of us spent $200 on dinner, but you certainly wouldn't have to in order to eat here (we had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, dessert, and drinks). The service was excellent - very attentive and friendly staff.
First time coming here (second time in Maui, first rating) and we can’t say enough about the AMAZING FLAVORS of this place. Not only that but our waitress “Valerie” gave us great recommendations that we completely fell in love with. The happy hour has great drink and appetizer specials as well. Must try!!!
Went to Monkeypod twice over the course of our vacation in Maui! The cocktails were well thought out and innovative. The best thing we ate was the lobster deviled eggs, they were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend getting an order. We tried out several pizzas, tacos, and the Noddles and have zero complaints!
Great craft cocktails! Lobster pizza was Unbelievable! Great atmosphere, friendly staff.
An amazing place to eat. Excellent local food, excellent service, amazing desserts.
Food very good. Veggie options not much; gnocchi really good. Service perfect. Atmos lively, busy- should make reservations. Price kinda on high side as expected
The food was fresh, delicious, and different. The place itself is clean and has a great ambiance. The bartender also found out it was my friend’s first time to Hawaii so he got us a slice of mango pie on him! The service was incredible and we had such a great time. We definitely will be back. Just know it can get crowded fast!
My husband and I came here after getting a recommendation from a family member and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, our waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu, made great recommendations, and very friendly. The food we got was phenomenal. The coconut chowder was my favorite! We we definitely go back before our vacation is over.
Annie was a fantastic and knowledgeable server of the menu! Provided quick and quality service for dinner! Food was to die for. Fish tacos and the burger was drool worthy. We went for our honeymoon and they provided to us for our honeymoon dessert strawberry pie. Omg. So good. Service: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Environment: 10/10 Next time we’re in Maui, we’ll be sure to return! Thanks Annie!
Great top to bottom - great food, prices and service even better than all of that!! Definitely going back again while we’re on the island
Order the fish and chips and it was excellent. The atmosphere was fun and lively. Excellent views.
Visited the restaurant at the suggestion of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. I had the corn chowder and think it may be the best I've ever had. The live music was also a great surprise.
Overrated food for the prices they charge. The service was good though
This is my favorite happy hour menu and atmosphere on Maui.
Pros: nice ambiance, fancy cocktails Cons: prices too high for the kind if food
The food was very good. Service was very good. Atmosphere was very cool and pleasant.
Absolutely love their Kauai shrimp potstickers and their pumpkin patch ravioli. Service is always great. The specials were onolicious!
Great food, drinks and desserts. Service was on the mark. A must do when in Maui. We thought the $$ rating was too low. $$$ is fitting.
Too die for appetizers (Lobster Deviled Eggs!)...and equally impressive cocktails. Pizzas with amazing local tastes on the best Italian dough! Service was incredible, a must for any trip to Maui
Food was great (pizzas, lobester deviled eggs, pot stickers and fish sandwich). Nice spot and good service. Fifth star missing due to not having good sodas (both club soda and cola tasted off/strange)despite wide selection of alcoholic beverages, and no food pics, as we decided to sit outside and got attacked by flies (would definitely sit inside next time)!
Fun place but we had to send our Maui beef burgers back because they were not cooked to the correct temperature.
Great people great service good food
SO GOOD. SOOOO GOOD. We got the happy hour (9p-11p for late happy hour), which is $10 pizzas and $10 cocktails (plus other specials that we didn't take advantage of). I got the mushroom pizza, which was the table's favorite entree. They're famous for their mai tais so I got it. The lilikoi foam was amazing and the drink was strong but not my type of drink. I'm not normally a Mai Tai drinker though. They gave us a choice of pie for my birthday so I chose the lilikoi one. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Flavors and textures were to die for.
Great service, food and music. We will be back.
Happy hour drinks and food were delicious and the price was right, would have been 5 stars, but the service wasn't great. They got our drink order wrong once and forgot to put in a food order. At full price I think I would be a little disappointed.
Amazing food and even better service! Annie was great!!! The lobster egg rolls are a must try!
