5 stars for the draft beer list and 3 stars for the food. Food was decent, but overly salty. I like salt, but just a bit too much. I got the kalua pork pizza, fries, and chicken wings. Drank a Knee Deep Simtra Triple IPA and a Big Island Brewhaus Overboard IPA. Would go again for the good beer list mostly though.

Get the fish sandwich. I was about to get fish tacos but we asked the waitress and she recommended the fish sandwich. She was right! Also the garlic truffle fries are as amazing as they sound. Also the best Mai Tai I have had in Honolulu. Plus a good selection of local beers on draft.

Very good place to meet friends, the food here is great, very upbeat and contemporary. Very earth conscious as the straws are made of paper. I went for lunch so I wasn't sure if the have live entertainment. The food here is great. You need to get here with friends or a business meeting. You'll not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Moku Kitchen. I'm not sure if live entertainment is something that occurs everyday, but it was nice to have a guitar playing singer belting out familiar songs. The brussel sprouts were so g. The chicken and salad were ok. Actually, the salad was awesome like I remember from Greece, Mediterranean-like. The dark meat of the chicken, leg and thigh were moist. The breast part of the half chicken was a little dry to the point of stringy. At least the manager was sympathetic to my concerns about paying for an expensive meal that wasn't the greatest. I would definitely return to Moku Kitchen because I like their organic concept. I believe everyone deserves a second chance.

Good food. Cool modern chic vibe with friendly staff. Wide variety of beers and spirits available. Prices are on the high side being a Merrimans location located in the heart of Kaka'ako so be prepared to drop some cash. Recommend the ravioli appetizer and the burger no coke products it's off brand sodas so be cognizant of that.

Good food. Some of the drinks and foods are spicy, but overall the pizza's and cheese burger was great! The poke was surprisingly good. The French fries were also very good. We had the mango cream pie with a scoop of banana pudding ice-cream and ohhhh so good.

Food!!! Oh, so so good! Service... Excellent. We had duck tacos, vegetable plate ,(enough for 4 to share easily.). Large variety, cooked to perfection and in a light delicious sauce. Chocolate and strawberry pie for dessert. Again excellent and plan on sharing!

Not very accommodating to regular customers. We go to Moku’s fairly often, but tonight was strange. I made a reservation for 7:45 and got to the restaurant at 7:30. There were at least 5 open tables; two outside and at least 3 more open inside. They made us wait...we had a reservation for 7:45... I couldn’t believe they made us wait! We were polite, but irritated to watch people without reservations be seated. Not very accommodating! Poor management? Rigid workers? Definitely will reconsider coming here after work with a reservation. Luckily our waitress was really nice.

Diverse menu with great options for anyone, including a vegan like me. Try the corn chowder (it's made with coconut milk). My non-vegan friends also love it here. No one has ever left disappointed. Friendly, attentive wait staff.

Love their farm to table style food. Always a good meal and their flavor combinations are on point! Try a cocktail too! Some out of the box thinking clearly helped create their unique menu, nodding to traditional American and Hawaiian fares.

Moku Kitchen is located at SALT Kakaako. There are big letters in front of the shop so you can't miss it. The wait staff was very friendly and they refilled waters very often. Their garlic truffle fries are very delicious, so that is definitely a recommendation. I ordered their cheeseburger and it was quite tasty. Make sure you ask for parking validation.

I have always loved this place but the repeated culling of the menu has really left me wanting more after my last visit. The bulgagi tacos which usually are a favorite have been removed from the menu. But overall still a great restaurant with a good tap selection.

Oh my gosh, I had THE BEST EXPERIENCE HERE!!! The food is 100% fresh and the price is worth it! I got a simple cheeseburger, AND IT WAS THE BEST BURGER I HAD EVER HAD! The fries are AMAZING! And DEFINITELY ORDER THE CORN CHOWDER! Best corn chowder I have ever had for sure! Our waiter, John, was the nicest, most helpful guy around! #bestserver I would recommend going before 5:30 (happy hour) so that you can get half off alcoholic drinks and half off appetizers! And $10 pizza during happy hour! I am from out of state, and if I ever come back, I will make SURE to make this restaurant a priority. Stop questioning. Just come here.

Fantastic service and amazing food! We’ve wanted to try the food here for a while and I’m so glad we finally did. Our waiter, Ryan, was so kind and knowledgeable. We ordered the garlic truffle fries, fish tacos, and duck tacos. Everything was so flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth amazing!! Ryan even treated us to a generous slice of haupia pie because it was our 1st anniversary (soo delicious).

Moku Kitchen is the perfect happy hour spot, with great cocktails and small plates for sharing. I highly recommend the .22 in the Boot cocktail and any of their wonderful pizzas. I find the pricing to be way too high outside of happy hour, though that is a personal preference. The location is gorgeous, and the staff are very fun and friendly.

This place is super swanky. It has a very contemporary feel with exposed brick and duct work like an artist loft. The artsy atmosphere is echoed by the hanging air plants, jars of eclectic salts, and oversized planters throughout the space. There is a small stage for live music and the long wood top bar shoots through the length of the restaurant. Apart from the coziness of the space, the food is fantastic. There is plenty of vegetarian options. The green beans were marinated and softened to perfection before skillet tossed to taste. The plating was beautiful. And even the prime rib looked delicious. On top of that, the house-cocktails were divine. Along with a friendly staff and great bartenders, the atmosphere could not be more perfect for a pau hana drink, tapas, or even a full meal and sit-down gathering with friends. 5 stars across the board. Super satisfied with everything, and can't wait to return!

This restaurant was completely amazing. The ambience was really nice, mellow & upbeat. It's comfortable for all ages. The decor it's really cool. Making a reservation is recommended, that way you aren't waiting long. Everyone who works there is really nice & sweet. You can dress down or dress up. They have really delicious food. I don't normally finish all my food, but it was really easy to do. But my bf said they could give a bigger portion. Everything is made fresh even the desserts. I highly recommend Moku. It's a local favorite as well as tourists. ❤

Been coming here since they first opened, mostly for either brunch or dinner. Great atmosphere all day long. I used to come here by myself after work to grab a bite to eat and some drinks and always felt very comfortable, as there is a long bar with plenty of people to meet and chat with. There is also booth style seating, raised round tables and traditional square table seating, with a few outside patio tables should you want to enjoy the weather. I really enjoy all of their appetizers and dishes you can share, like the Kalua Pork Pizza here. The burgers are also awesome, I’ve honestly never had a dish that I was disappointed with. In my experience it has been a consistently good experience both service wise and food wise. It’s a great place to bring the family, a date or even a business meeting. One of my go-to’s here on Oahu!

My wife and I placed a reservation and were promptly seated when we arrived. After looking at the menu for a couple minutes we closed the menu to take some photos for social media and indicate that we were ready to order. Over 10 minutes passed with no greeting or any wait staff coming to our table. 4 different wait staff passed by our table multiple times but didn't even look at us. Going out to eat this night was supposed to be a special time for my wife and I but instead we were made to feel invisible by the Moku Kitchen staff. We eventually decided to leave and I informed the hostess that no one had even greeted us and that we were leaving. The hostess did not apologize and didn't really seem to even care. 2 star because the ambiance was nice. -3 stars because management needs to train their staff to be polite and courteous.

Walked in for a late lunch, got an easy seat in the bar area. Server was prompt and friendly. Ordered up a Hamakua wild mushroom pizza and a Kona Brewing Company Big Wave golden ale. The flavor of those mushrooms was exceptional and the Big Wave is something I fully intend to order again and again. Parking out front sucks - but there's a whole structure in the back. Moku is situated in an interesting little "new urban enclave" that deliberately blocks all views to the outside... feels like Downtown Disney in its immersion and careful design. If that's your thing, enjoy. I prefer small and homey but came in on a whim. The food and service were great, but I'm not sure whether I'll be back just due to the heavy-handed "you're not in Waikiki anymore - you've entered the House of the Mouse" theme park feel. If you do come in - don't hesitate to get that pizza.

Unimpressed. Arrived was told to wait for a table. So we sat at the bar, ordered two very overpriced drinks... 15 minutes later our buzzer went off and the server took us out side to an abundance of empty tables... We said we were waiting for an inside table, she said it would be another 15-20 minutes. We decided to just eat at the bar. We ordered, as we'd already looked at the menu. What felt like a lifetime later our very small meals arrived and to boot, the server took my lemomade and filled it with water... She thought it was water. Have had such great service everywhere else on Oahu... Maybe we just got a bad day. Ps the poke bowl has no rice...

Offering a fairly large menu, this establishment serves mostly island fusion food as well as some kid friendly staples like mac and cheese and burgers.

The place LOOKS amazing from the outside, but after 15 minutes of sitting without anyone acknowledging us, it was more than I could stand to be ignored by every wait staff who made eye contact with me. The final straw was having a waiter walk towards our table just to start breaking down the 6 top next to us. Why is this a thing where customers are ignored until they leave? We were super excited about eating here, but I lost my appetite for poor/no service. Fortunately there are plenty of other restaurants within feet of this place who were ready for our money.

As an on-site computer repair specialist and trainer I don't get to take my wife out very often due to my schedule. Moku's was the perfect place to take my wife for one of our few date nights. Great food great service everything made from scratch and even local beer.

Great atmosphere, friendly but poor service. Food came with a fly in it. Also found we were about to get billed twice for the replaced meal. They fixed it after we pointed it out but aplogies doesn't feel authentic when it's one issue after another. Hope this place improves over time, but wouldn't recommend as of now.

My first time to Moku Kitchen was a great experience. Our server Nico was very helpful, told us all about the daily specials, and let us sample a beer before making a suggestion. We had the roasted squash ravioli, oven-roasted chicken wings, kalua pork pizza, haupia pie, and a monkeypod mai tai. The ravioli and chicken wings were something I could have made at home and would not pay $15 and $17 for - luckily we were there for happy hour and only paid half price for our small plates! The pizza - which was also on happy hour for $10 - was delicious, you can’t go too wrong with pineapple and pork on a well-made crust. My favorite part of the meal was certainly the monkeypod mai tai. Covered in a light, slightly tart honey lilikoi (passion fruit) foam, this mai tai made with kula silver and dark rums, mac nut orgeat, curaçao, and lime was sweet relief from a hot day.

The food here is amazing and I want to keep coming back. Unfortunately there are either issues with the wait staff or the kitchen that have concerned me during my last two visits. One time we came in without a reservation and were immediately seated. We were excited but then we were ignored for about 25 minutes. We were about to walk out when a waiter finally came by and acknowledged us. We were compensated the entire meal and paid tip for the new waiter and decided to give the restaurant another try. We tried the place again with some visitors from the mainland hoping the service issue mentioned prior would be a one-off. We reserved a table and were seated. The wait staff this time was friendly and attentive but the food took a long while to come out. It took at least 30 minutes for even the fries to come out and we had an error with our order. The error was compensated. I'm hoping that other people are not having the issues that I'm experiencing. I appreciate how management has compensated us for any issues but I'm not aiming to dine out for free food.

Not sure why folks are in love with place. It's ok. Food is decent. Nothing to write home about, though, and overpriced for what you get. There are better spots nearby, even right in the Salt complex.

I got the Garlic Truffle Oil Fries as an appertizer and the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich as an entree for lunch. Both items were well cooked and tasted good. If I need to quibble, the portion size for the sandwich was rather small for the price point of $17 and I doubt it will be filling for many people. Definitely a premium choice for lunch.

Two trips to Honolulu, and we've made time for Moku on both occasions. The food is excellent and I have yet to be disappointed by anything on the menu. They has some interesting drink combos with and without alcohol. And the kids enjoy it too, asking almost as soon as we land when we're going. A friend who we travelled with ordered the duck and said it's the best duck he's had. Casual environment. I'd suggest making reservations if you can.

Everything taste amazing, and was presented beautifully. Service and ambiance was also incredible, so we will definitely be coming back! Everything we ordered we recommend, which was the coconut-corn chowder, mushroom pizza, and the bahn mi.

Great food, reasonable prices, good vibes. We tryed all the small plates that they had @ half off during happy hour everything tasted great. We had very good service. Our waiter was very engaging making sure we had everything we needed and very friendly.

The server was attentive and very good. The roasted duck came out a bit too cooked and cause the glaze to be a bit better. Not our personal preference but it could be yours. The burger was pretty solid , I recommend putting the kimchee on the burger as it will really being out the flavor. They were nice enough to comp the duck since it wasn't to our liking. The pies were absolutely phenomenal though , I definitely recommend saving space for desert. All said the food was pretty good though on the pricier side for portion size. Excellent beer selection.

Warm service and prompt despite it being a packed house. Cocktails were to die for especially the lilikoi foam - wow so quintessentially Hawaiian. And strong! They are generous with their flavours, their passion for farm to table serving and their aloha spirit. Would totally recommend for all, families, friends, small or large groups. Kid friendly.
