This Restaurant belongs to the category of Fast food restaurant.
Really great grilled chicken and shrimp. That Huli Huli sauce is the bomb. We'll definitely be back! I had the Huli Huli Chicken and shrimp, rice and I chose the Mac salad over green salad. All was delicious. Also a nice shady place to sit while you eat.
Originally from Oahu and was visiting home with my fiance. This was our first time here at Mike's and I'm so glad we decided to have lunch here. We had half a huli huli chicken and Kalua pig plate it was so ono. Mike sauce sets it off. We will definitely come back !
An absolute letdown!!! Saw this place on Diners,Drive-ins, and Dives and thought I would give it a try since I was in Hawaii on vacation. Absolutely disappointing! The chicken was average at best, the macaroni salad was bland, and the rice was chewy. The ranch dressing was served to us warm, and the Mike’s sauce was no better than bottled hot sauce. Overall not worth the money. We ate at Maui Mikes Chicken located near Schofield Barracks and that place was DA BOMB!!!! Great flavor at half the price.
Fabulous chicken. His homemade hot sauce was excellent. It was very spicy with a hint of sweet. I would definitely recommend this food truck in Pearl City.
Chicken and ribs. Mmmm good
Delicious food and a really nice outside space to eat. I loved their special sauce and ordered the chicken. Fantastic!!
Consistently great! We grab Mikes every time we go to North Shore. Pork chicken combo
Awesome place. Delicious pork and chicken + multiple sauces, the hott sauce is to die for. Huge portion sizes enough to share between 2 and great prices. Met the owner he sat down with us and we had a great conversation. Don't listen to these random complaints.
This is the best chicken on the island I love this place. The pork is awesome with the BBQ sauce they have I highly recommend this spot for some great island food. Cash only
Awesome. Just completely awesome. Never tasted anything like it. Got the spiciest meal in the menu, put some gangbam sauce on my meal, tasted really good. I look forward into coming again!
Very disappointed... Lots of flys u can't even eat. The chicken was not cooked through, tasted old. The pork had a wired after taste, fish was not fresh covered with sauce to bask the flavor. Service was good. Mac and cheese was stateless... Salad old saggy... Sorry very disappointed!!!!! Not good good.
Excelente chicken and garlic shrimp. The sides were also delicious. Just missing the Hawaiian rolls to make it perfect. Thanks Mike for restoring my faith in food trucks.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Place was covered in Flys inside and outside the truck though.
Saw Mike before at the old location. Was hoping to see Mike with my family this time. He wasn't there. :/ We couldn't really enjoy the food because there were flies everywhere. Need one or two garbages much further from the seating area...Also, seating area could be updated. Some chairs had holes. They don't have smoothies at the food truck anymore either. Might try the restaurant next time..
I looked for this place because of Diners, Driveins & Dives. Mistake. Maybe Mike make his money from fame and sold. I didn’t look closely enough before purchasing food. Hand washing station was outside, cold water and drained on the ground. The chicken was very dry for being mostly dark meat. Everything else was ok. Macaroni salad and Kalua pork. $17.50 for a plate. Not worth it at all. Then I saw the dining area. In disarray, dirty tables, dirty garbage can, flies and trash. Disgusting. I’m signing off on Diners, Driveins & Dives.
So good. the price hike due to popularity is a bit of a let down though
Used rest room at his barber shop. Turned on light saw cases of chicken defrosting with rats an big roaches all over the meat. His barber shop is in salt lake. I won't recommend this rat eaten meat seller. Wish I recorded it.
Good food but underseasoned
The most flavor on my plate was there ranch dressing. Steak has no flavor and is chewy. Rice is cooked well but the guy at the register was greedy with the sauces. No enthusiasm. Sorry but I feel ripped off considering I paid about 30 dollars for two meals.
Da best, for sure.
CASH ONLY. Good place to stop and have a bite to eat at a famously spotlighted food truck on the show, "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". My partner ordered the steak plate which came with rice and salad, over all the food was good and the meat had good flavour although the steak was a bit over cooked. I ordered the plate with pork and chicken which also came with rice and salad. My pork and chicken were both cooked perfectly! Pick-nick tables are under cover for dinning and there are several banana trees around the location.
We ordered chicken plate and garlic ahi plate with Mike’s sauce. It was delicious and fast. It would be better they have whole chicken menu. Tip: Add Mike’s sauce
Have just been there a couple of days ago. I was so excited about ordering chicken with shrimp combo and the chicken with pork combo. First the good: macaroni salad is perfect, rice well cooked. 2nd the not so good, chicken did not live up to its hype. I still love the Hulihuli chicken I bought by the side of the road in Maui. Unfortunately, the chicken was kind of bland. Pork was on the saltier side. Not something I would ask for again. Lastly, the not so good. The garlic shrimp wasn’t fresh. You can tell by the smell of it. Trust your nose. No matter how much garlic you put, a not so fresh shrimp would smell. I don’t know if the quality is deteriorating or it’s just a fluke. I wasn’t too happy in the end. For now, I won’t recommend this place. I might try again when I come back but not anytime soon.
Easy place to find. Steak was well cooked. Parking can be an issue.
Good food but I think a bit pricey. $17.50 for chicken and shrimp. Portions were lunch appopriate. Had to swat the flies while eating but that is somewhat expected for an out door venue. Not sure I would go out of my way to eat here again but I would consider it if passing by. Menu prices as of July 6th, 2018.
Food and atmosphere is excellent!
My husband and I went there today and it was okay we ordered the shrimp & steak/chicken stir fry- the sauce is great that they do- the shrimp was very good - Mac salad was edible, but overall nothing special- there was a few items that they were sold out of which was probably the ones we needed to order lol
Omg...the food was delicious. It has been on the show...Diners, Drive ins and Dives. We just happened upon this diamond in the rough and loved it. If you get the chance, take a few minutes to stop in. You won't be disappointed.
A friend who had seen this place reviewed on television recommends we stop here. It certainly has a cool setting, and the opportunity to be fantastic. But the food was simply put, OK, it was nothing special about what we eat. No fantastic flavorings or presentation at all. I was hoping for a little bit of pizzazz. But I simply did not find it. The chicken was almost not edible to be quite honest but the rest of the food though was good
The smell was amazing so we had to stop and try it.....mistake. The chicken was undercooked, the rice was hard, the surrounding are is not nice. There are flys everywhere , making it hard to eat.. The ahi was funky tasting. We spent 40 dollars and threw most of the food away. The outhouse was really horrible. The only thing good was the service and the pineapple on the plate.. Could be a great location if they change the things above.
awesome
Great chicken! Prolly the cheapest way to feed the family! Family of 4 was under $20! Only issue is cash only no cards yet.
I’m a big Triple-D fan so this was high on the priority list. The chicken wasn’t as good as I was hoping and the garlic shrimp was average. The mac salad was good. Overall a good place to eat, just not quite what i had hoped. I would eat here again if I was in the area.
Super pricey! The macaroni salad never ever ever saw a grain of salt. My stir fried chicken was billed as spicy and was not but did have flavor. The plate, however had several bones in it. My daughter had several as well. My husband had the half chicken plate and it was terribly dry! He had to leave a lot of it on the plate as inedible. My husband was looking forward to this place the most and his disappointment was horrible. Not to mention the chickens running around. 3 plates and 1 soda $40. Barely worth $15 if that!!!!!
Great food and hospitality!!! A definite must try.
Had the huli chicken and kalua pork combo, delicious! Would have it again.
The food is reasonably priced. Had the chicken and it was delicious. Great after a morning on the beach. Don't let looks deceive you. Also had live chickens walking free to add to the atmosphere.
Steak and chicken plate was simply Amazing Best steak on the Island
Lots of food tastes great
This place is totally worth the drive to the north shore! The huli chicken is made with love, care and time! The place (mostly outdoor) is cozy and friendly. Mike himself was there and he was very hospitable!
Met Mike and had an amazing lunch. Mike's special with steak and chicken was amazing! It's a bit of a drive from Honolulu but definetly worth it. The live music was cool and surprisingly informative. If you are here and want some awesome "flipped" chicken then make your way. Total for 2 meals with drinks was 35 bucks. Worth a whole lot more
SOME OF THE BEST FOOD YOU'LL EAT!!
Best BBQ Chicken I've ever had. A must try when on the islands.
The food amazing the service not good.
The chicken had a strange taste, like old meat, just about to spoil. The rice was plain, the pulled pork was very dry and bland. Very expensive for the quality.
Local favorite plus being on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives led us to going totally across the island 3 times to try it out. First two times it was closed mid afternoon although the website and signs all say it closes at 7 pm. Third time was a charm. A chicken plate was $17.95. It was fairly dry, and the amazing sauce was more like regular hot sauce. I had seen reviews about the aggressive flies, and they were right. Glad we went to see what it was like, but it must just be the allure of their reputation that keeps them in business.
Always have to stop at Mike's when I'm on that side of the island! I have never had a problem the quality and quantity of the food!
Good food, roadside shack. Lots of chickens lol.
Stumbled upon accidentally. Didn't know it was well known. Wonderful food and large portions. Family of 6 split 3 orders. Owner was great and even delivered us some soy sauce when he saw we did my get any. Great place. Will return again.
Very much worth the drive for huli huli chicken and shrimp
Shrimps were okay. Chicken smelled good, but wasn't out of the ordinary. I wouldnt say it's a must stop if you're in Oahu. They havr nice decor and stuff though
The food is good but I was expecting more from it.
The garlic shrimp is outstanding. The place is pricey.
The atmosphere alone is worth the stop. Then you go order and get to relax under some picnic tables and dig in! Best Mac salad I have had so far.
I enjoyed it. Melt was very good. Hard to find parking during lunch time.
Loved the chicken and mac salad.
So what! It made it on Diners,Drive inns, and Dives. There was nothing special here. The food was eeh, the people working were as friendly as a pissed off rattlesnake. The only thing thus place has going for it is the celebrity status, which doesn't say much. I can only think that the reason people gave about this dive is the atmosphere. It is different. Move along people nothing to see here.
Such a cool spot surrounded by dozens of food and drink options. Chicken and garlic shrimp are delicious.
Swarming with flies and expensive for what it was — mid rate supermarket style chicken and takeaway food with an outsized chance of getting food poisoning.
Awesome huli chicken and BBQ, they've moved in the past year but still a great lunch time spot
The food is too good to pass up!! If you're there it's a must stop or you really missed on the best food ever.
We had shrimp, chicken, steak and fish. All were cooked perfect. Suace was awesome. About 10 minutes away from kualoa ranch
Garbage food Garbage service Garbage staff Garbage prices
Delicious! Plenty of outdoor covered seating, nice staff, a little place to buy handmade souvenirs, fun chickens running around, and the pork, tuna, and chicken were PERFECT food truck meals. God it was good. If someone doesn't like this, they weren't looking for fresh, local, authentic eating. GO!
This was our first stop and meal in Oahu and did disappointed us! The atmosphere is very tropical and rural plenty of parking and seating area. The crew was very friendly and informative. The meal portions were awesome as well as the food!
I loved Mike's! The chicken was great, so was the pork and the shrimp. I definitely recommend it to everyone
Worth the drive!
The food is super delicious! Went there two days in a row because we loved the chicken and the shrimps so much. The owner is super friendly and went around to chat with the customers. The self-made sauce is to die for. Whenever I am back on Oahu I will definitely come back!
Fantastic food at a great price! Chicken was perfect, shrimp was succulent, Kahlua pork was just right. Sides were delicious too. The only downside was the swarm of flies from the garbage cans being too close to the dining area. The chickens walking around were pretty rampant, but that's Hawaii :)
The way they cook the chickens is awesome. U can c it behind the truck , they make them with wood fire. I had the whole chicken with 2 scoops of macaroni for only $12 ! That's really awesome. They seem to have good menu, but I didn't try any. They have good outdoor sitting with nice tables enough for groups. The only bad thing I had is that they don't have water! Most of the trucks out there provid free water!
By farrrrrrr, the best place to visit in Oahu!!! The culture is phenomenal, and there is so much to do and see! We got the ambassador package, our group was small; and our spokes person was awesome!!! It was a 5 hour tour, which seemed a little overwhelmed; but time fly’s by so fast!!! This place is also enormous and beautiful!! We will come back on our next visit for sure!!! Mahalo
The char siu was very good, but the huli huli chicken was not very good, but that is a matter of personal taste. The reason for the 2 stars is the staff were smoking in the truck. Eww..
Was nice and smokey. Good and flavorful.
Good food I can tell but the food was cold which is really disappointing. Nobody wants cold food.
Pretty good. Better later in the day.
This place gets rave reviews, but I don't know why/how. They got our order wrong. Eating involved a constant battle against what felt like a hundred flies. I got a pulled chicken plate and there were bits of bones in it. My son ordered steak medium well and it was raw. And, as other reviews have said, it was expensive for what it was.
Good chicken.
Chicken looked raw, so we didn't eat much, pork was ok. Not super impressed.
Their Huli chicken stir fry plate lunch is amazing! Generous scoops of rice & mac salad. We ordered a kids meal and it was more than enough to split between my almost 4 and 2 year-olds. They have a hand washing station right by the truck so it's easy to get cleaned up, covered seating, and port-a-potties nearby.
Got the teriyaki chicken and Mac salad. Mac salad was lite but bland. The chicken had a good teriyaki flavor although I found a sharp pointy bone in my chicken luckily it didn’t puncture anything in my mouth...
So delicious. Huli chicken was amazing, hot sauce was delicious a little spicy at first then a hint of sweetness. Service was overly friendly but not rude either. My main complaint was that while eating there were SO many flies it was a little hard to enjoy the food
BBQ Beef was good. Macaroni salad good. I'm not a thigh/leg person and some white meat would have been good.
This place is fabulous. The bbq beef is so tender and delicious. James gave excellent customer service. I ate here 3 times during my vacation.
We had the Huli Chicken Stir fry. It was great! We even ate all of the big onion chunks and mushrooms. I honestly can't tell you what spices they might use on their chicken. It has a very unique flavor, but is delicious.
Mike’s Huli Huli Chicken. You may have been the best chicken I have ever had. Your sweet, tangy, spicy flavor captures my heart. I don’t miss the chickens pecking at my feet, or the flies I needed to swat away, but your chicken made me forget all of this while I was there. I’m so happy I took your sauce to go. Every time I pour it out, I have a little dribble of heaven on the current food I am eating.
Meh. It was decent. Not mind blowing.
This place is amazing!!! We tried the pork chicken and shrimp came twice already really recommend evrythingggggg!! Friendly service everything super clean
Their driver intentionally came within inches of hitting our car. Then he follows us down the road and threw something at our car. I will never eat here. Don’t go here, nasty people. Way to promote tourism.
The food was great will go back again. Thank you
Don't miss out, everytime you drive past, you need to stop and have a bite, extremely good when fresh off the grill !
Really great chicken here and other food popular spot
If you are coming here because you saw it on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, please skip it. Costco rotisserie chicken is better. I swear. I was in the neighborhood for a hike and I was like I saw this on Triple D! Just choose anywhere else to eat and you will be happy with it. My chicken was completely dry & tasteless & the mac salad was soggy. This was probably my worst meal on the island. Of course, expectation had a lot to do with it. There were boat loads of other suckers like me in line.
Huli Chicken was good! But I think we came at a bad time. Most of the chicken was already cooked when we got there. It was a bit over cooked.
Great food and place to eat. Was absolutely surprised as we just picked a spot listed on the map near us... what a jewel in the rough! HIGHLY recommend this place.
Yum. A must go for 1) The food and 2) The experience 3) The cool T-Shirts...
Not knowing this place was on triple D with Guy until I got in line. The staff who took our order was quite unhappy, maybe it's Monday and he had a rough night. The chicken was OK , garlic shrimp was OK. My rating was based on food and service.
Always a favorite of ours. This place was featured on diners, drive ins and dives. There is a plethora of food trucks around but this is always something we enjoy coming back too
It's usually pretty good. Unfortunately the last time I visited the chicken was cold and rice was undercooked. They gave us an extra side of mac salad but one can only eat so much mac salad. I'll go back the next time I'm out that way.
The chicken is amazing. It's what I imagined it would be from the videos I saw. It was dead when I visited. Maybe it's only popular during the busy vacation season. Also, too many flies all around the picnic tables. The staff was kind.
I can eat here several times a week & it's always sooo ono!!!
Fair food. Service was good. Have it 1 extra star for giving a military and local discount. Had the stir fry chicken and the teriyaki steak and shrimp combo. Steak was average but the shrimp and chicken was very disappointing. Prices were way high for this quality of food. Don't understand why Guy from the food network recommended this place. I've been to a dozen or so places that was recommended by Guy and they have been right on... This was the first time I have seen Guy being wrong on recommendations. Go if your in the neighborhood but I recommend Hawaiian Island Cafe --- just down the ways in the little town of Waimanalo.
Excellent roasted Chicken. Salad and macaroni are average.
Family loved it, i wasn't impressed. Course they ran out of steak so i had to reset my taste buds
Huge tourist trap, this place is a rip off. I've driven by many times and have always wanted to stop but never did. Then I saw this place featured on at least two different TV shows (travel channel, food network etc.). So today on the way home from the North Shore we stopped. First thing I noticed was how expensive it is, but hey, I figured it most be amazing. Nope, it's chicken, as plain as chicken can get. You could throw a chickan with no seasoning on your Coleman grill at home and it would be just as good if not better...AND a half chicken won't cost you almost 15 bucks to boot like this place. They were out of Mac salad too, so they gave me an extra scoop of rice. So that made 3 scoops of gummy rice. They do give you Mike's Sauce... another literal rip off. Mikes sauce is Frank's Red Hot sauce mixed with a little simple syrup to sweeten it up and dilute it so their rip off sauce goes further. I have never written a negative Google review, but this place needs to be exposed. My fault though, everything in Hawaii is expensive, but if there were no locals sitting down to eat then I shouldn't have bothered either. Thank God I didnt make the mistake of spending 18 bucks for chciken and shrimp, a quarter chicken and probably 3 small shrimp. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! Plenty of places to go eat and get over charged that are at least good.
Decent prices, chicken was juicy throughout including the breast.
Screw your calorie count come here and eat.
Quite let down by this place. We ordered the pork plate and the chicken plate. Chicken wasn't bad, a bit colder than I'd have liked. Prices were about on average for the food. Mac salad was good and was plenty of rice. Low rating because my wife had raw pork in hers. We took it back, and while they didn't argue it, and gave us a refund, they said it was pre-cooked and couldn't have been raw. It was definitely raw, and if they purchase their pork pre-cooked, it just speaks of the low effort involved with preparing their food. They also only take cash. There is a bank nearby, but kind of annoying since almost every place takes card these days
Food was amazing. Literally the best BBQ chicken I have ever had. Plates are Large and a decent price $13-$18. I can see why this place was an Island favorite features on Diners, Drive ins, and dives! Great job guys!!!!!
I love this place! They have the best chicken and Kamaaina and Military discount.
Outstanding huli huli chicken really great. 5 stars
Good chicken and shrimp, but the Char Siu pork my husband had was really good and daughter liked her steak. Good came fast and hot. Mike suggested we move to upper tables to get away from flies - it worked.
Overall we had a decent experience at Mike's. I only give it three stars because the prices where high and the food was okay (portions and taste). This place was featured on that DD&D show in Food Network so go figure. We tried the kalua, the shrimp, and of course the chicken. The shrimp was as good as any shrimp scampi on the island. The kalua was probably our favorite thing we tried, it had a good smoky flavor and was moist. Considering that the chicken is the main draw I found it a little bit lacking. The seasoning was good but it had a strong season salt taste to it, it's not bad but it tasted like something that would be served at home. Additionally, the skin on the chicken was too soft for my liking. This might just be my preference, but personally I like when the skin gets crispy or cooked to the point it loses thickness. The special sauce that everyone told me about also tasted a bit too familiar. If I were to take a guess I'd say it's mainly some sort of Buffalo wing sauce (like Frank's) mixed with Polynesian sauce. If your in the area I'd say stop by and be your open judge. Apparently a lot of other people like it and think highly of it. At the very least you can cross it off your list of places to try while your in the island.
Mike's is the best! The Huli chicken is so delicious! The meat falls right off the bone. The pig and Char Sau pork is also incredible. Staff is friendly and service is very quick. A must go to place in Oahu!
Great local food. Great prices. Fantastic staff
The chicken was great. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The rest of the meal was fine. A little more expensive than i expected, but turns out about average for oahu food truck prices
Mike, I was stationed in the Marines 40 years ago & came back last year - Thank you for your Delish Chicken, Mahalo !
Really great chicken!
The food was fast and tasty and the portions were generous.
Awesome chicken! Nicely flavored chicken. The dipping sauce was also very good. I would definitely go back.
I would never go back here again! Food was expensive and not up to par. The skin on the chicken was not crispy at all and the taste was bland. Maybe is was a bad day, but McCormick chicken in the bag would have been better.
There was no meat on the tasteless, full of fat and greasy chicken. The mac salad was dry. And they had no rice.
We really wanted to come here after seeing it on DDD. We missed out when we were here in 2014... But we were driving to another destination and happened upon it! We had the chicken and char sui platter and a chicken platter... It was delicious! Chicken was smoky and tender... The sauce was perfect... Char sui tasty. And sooo much food for your dollar# 10 out of 10 would recommend
I went here because I saw how much Guy Fieri loved it on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives". Guy either got bribed, or...no, he got bribed... The chicken was dry. Nothing is more disappointing to know your chicken was made the day before. And the garlic shrimp was inedible. They were old and smelled like a mildewed dish towel. Zippys has better chicken.
Grind da chicken great huli huli
I ordered the chicken plate. Came with macaroni salad which was good and rice. The chicken was a little dry and flavorless.
Chicken combo w/ Kalua pig and Mac side; chicken was moist, not a ton of flavor; mac side was just ok; shredded pork was good; what made the meal worthwhile was the semi-sweet and spicy sauce that Mike himself provided; THAT should be the base for his chicked bbq; funny that i’d recommend having salt and pepper on hand to season the food as it was all kind of bland without the provided sauce...a bit disappointed; Mike was a gentlemen, posing for multiple pics w/ groups of people while i was there
The food was HORRIBLE!!!!!#
Always ono ono at Mike's ALOHA!!
Definitely worth the drive from Waikiki! The chicken was seasoned well, tender, & falling off the bone delicious! Mike was super cool & even got him to take some pics
The owner was not there. I believe that is why I got a different experience than the others reviewers. Attendant was cranky and unfriendly. Food was terrible. They could not cook the rice properly. Shrimp was not appealing like Macks Shrimp truck we tried a day before. Garlic was uncooked and tasted strong due to that. Steak had no flavour and the huge flies landing on the food was a turn off. I would not try it again.
Best food I had throughout my whole trip to Oahu. We mainly ate out at 5-star restaurants spending hundreds, and this was defiantly the best food. The chicken and garlic prawns were simply amazing, not to mention the coconut-papaya smoothie I had. It had a nice atmosphere, obviously the "decor" is nothing special for a side of the road set up. Owner came and checked to make sure the food was to our satisfaction, which it was! Hopefully they are still there next time I return to Oahu.
Yummy! Great local place! Must go eat a bit share the plates.
unassuming but pleasantly surprised. get combo. shrimp+ur choice of meat.
Some very great grind!!! Chicken was fine and the pork. Oh my goodness!!! Highly recomend
Pretty tasty. The white meat was a little dry but the flavor was really good. I also had the Kalua pork which was a little greasy but not too bad. Definitely worth a try. Also a little pricey it 17.50 a plate of chicken
It was even better then I had hoped for!!! Definitely will be going back again.
Chicken was uncooked didn't get toss greens . Mac saled was dry / my wife stir fry had 3 pieces of chicken and the onions was raw and cold . She didn't even eat her food ! Only thing was good was can of coke ! Don't let what you build up go down hill mike . Employees should be more proud of what they do. Mike You need to be there and over see your business
Best truck food in Oahu! The hot sauce is amazing. Took home 3 bottles! Chicken melts in your mouth! Shrimp was great too!
Great chicken! Don't forget Mike's Huli Sauce!
My husband absolutely loved this place. Favorite food was pulled chicken. Also loved seeing the birds. The people are fabulously friendly.
The chicken here is great. Like mouth-wateringly delicious. It comes with a side of rice and salad. I also loved the pineapple smoothie. It was cash only if I remember correctly.
Excellent chicken. Highly recommend
It is a food truck dinner!!!! Make sure you read the signs so you understand what to do and the locals don't get upset with you. It is the perfect lunch stop on your way to tropical farms or the Polynesian center. There is a selective menu and the portions are big. My husband and I were able to split the Kalua and chicken combo.
Good food but a little pricey
Worth the drive to the new location.
Mike's is so good! Huli chicken broiled right there. Yummy pork and solid Hawaiian sides. Lots of seating in shade and under cover from rain
Garlic shrimp is incredible! My husband and I stopped by for dinner one night during our vacation in Oahu because we had seen this food truck on DDD. I got huli huli chicken and garlic shrimp. The chicken was ok, but the shrimp is where they won me over!
Chicken was dry. If you put a lot of their sauce on it, it passes. Stir fry and garlic shrimp on the other hand was flavorful. Lackadaisical staff and chickens running around. Off day?? Fortunately the drive from Dole to here was beautiful.
Saw it on t.v. It looked good on Guy Fieri's show, and I guarantee that if I was there that it would be delicious...DELICIOUS!!!
Wish they where in kahaluu still
Sad that we didn't get back for a second visit. Get there early!
Awesome food but a little pricey
Smelt the food coming so we turned around and ate. Food we awesome had the garlic shrimp, the half chicken and charsiu. Would definitely come back and recommend you to stop.
Went here because of the reviews. I don't know how it got such great reviews! The rice tasted like it was dipped in pool water, the chicken was good but no greater than rotisserie chicken at a store. The flies and fruit flies were TERRIBLE, and the prices were ridiculous and only took cash. Skip this place, you really aren't missing anything.
Was just ok. Chicken was rather dry. Large serving size. Well priced.
Great place to stop and eat little pricey but it's very nice
Had lunch here with my wife, awesome food highly recommended
Chicken too salty and it tasted old.
